“Only four?” He hugged her. “I think they should start with an
A
. Alice, Ann, Albert, Arnold …”

“Only four?” she teased. Then, looking wistfully at the family in the yard, “It must be wonderful to be part of such a family.”

Corbin hugged her to him. “We’ll have one like that some day. The next best thing, sweetheart, is being a friend of such a family. Come and meet them, honey. They are special, like you.”
