“Fuck me,” I sighed, bringing a hand up to
the side of her face. I knew I needed to bite my tongue, but I
didn't. “You're perfect just how you are, okay? Don't let
anyone try to convince you otherwise. Not even yourself.”

She gave me a small smile before moving across my body
to straddle me. Her head started to move down to kiss my chest, but I
grabbed her to stop her. “Wait,” I said, watching her.
“Let a man enjoy the view for a second,” I said, not
bothering to hide the smile as I let my hands glide over her body. My
hands stopped at her breasts, my fingers teasing across her nipples.
“Perfect.”

Then she moved down, kissing a trail across my chest,
my stomach, lower. Her hands went to my underwear and slipped them
down, letting my cock out.

Then... nothing.

Shit.

She wasn't ready.

“Ava...” I broke in, my tone soothing,
relaxed, patient. Like my balls didn't feel like they were in a vise
grip. Because that didn't matter. Well, it didn't matter as much as
her comfort level did anyway.

“Let a
woman
enjoy the view for a second,” she said, smiling and I felt a
laugh burst from my chest.

Then her hand
grabbed me and stroked down to the hilt and the laughter died. She
leaned down, twirling her tongue around the head, licking off the
precum and sending a shudder through my body as my hand grabbed at
her hair. Her mouth moved to close
around me
tight, sucking me in, moving downward slowly until I felt the head
push up against the back of her throat.

“Holy...
fuck.
.. Ava...”

Then her eyes
drifted up to mine and it was the hottest fucking thing I had ever
seen. She kept her gaze on me as she started working my cock with her
mouth. It wasn't expert. It wasn't evident of practice. It wasn't
perfect
. But it was
passionate. It was full of the genuine desire to please. And that
made
it perfect.

So I didn't offer any advice. I didn't try to help her
learn to do it like a pro. I just enjoyed her. Her mouth on my shaft.
Her tongue over my head. Her hand at my balls. All of it.

“Ava,” I warned, knowing I was seconds from
popping. “I'm gonna come. If you don't want...”

But she did want.

She wanted me to come.

Her tongue slid over the head one last time then she
sucked me deep and I came down her throat. Hard. Harder than I could
ever recall coming before. She sucked it up greedily, licking every
bit of moisture off my cock before kissing her way back up to my
neck.

She moved to lay her head on my chest where she
belonged but my hands went out to grab her, to cradle her face,
wanting to make her understand even the tiniest bit of what that
meant to me. “Ava...”

“I did good, didn't I?” she cut me off, an
adorably self-satisfied smile on her face.

“No baby,” I said, shaking my head. “That
wasn't good. That was fucking phenomenal,” I told her, running
my hands over her cheeks, her lips. I couldn't get enough of touching
her.

As I was watching her, something came over her face.
Not like before. Something different. Something I didn't understand.
But it was warm. It made her eyes soft. It made her light up the
room.

Then she ducked her head, lying back down on my chest.

Before long, she was asleep.

I just held her, completely awake, staring at the
ceiling until an hour passed. Until I got impatient. Until I got hard
again.

Then I swatted her ass and she jerked awake. “What?”
she grumbled, sounding annoyed.

“Nothin',” I said, smiling. “I just
wanted you to wake up.”

“What for?”

I felt a devilish grin split my face. “I'm going
to taste you again.”

Her head tilted to the side as she inspected me. “Why
do I feel like there's a hitch?”

“This time you're going to ride my face.” I
saw the (expected) shock and denial overtake her face. “And at
the same time, you're going to suck my cock again.”

A flash of heat went into her eyes.

Like she wanted to do that again.

Like she was hungry for my cock.

Fuck, fuck me.

“Chase...”

“You don't like it, we stop. No questions asked.
Let's give it a try, okay?”

“Okay.”

Then we did, her straddling my head, her mouth on my
cock while I sucked her clit until she screamed my name again.

Two AM. She was getting dressed. I was in my pants and
buttoning my shirt. “I need to see you tomorrow.”

“What?” she asked, looking confused.

“For the next session. Tomorrow,” I
clarified.

The next session was sex.

I was going to be
inside
her.

Then she was shaking her head no, dragging me out of my
fantasy. “No? Why? What's the matter? Are you nervous? Because
we should talk about it then, babe.”

“No... I, ah, I have plans to go out with a
coworker. Shay. She's... been pestering me and I finally agreed.”

“That's great,” I said, feeling like it was
anything but. Feeling like there was a high possibility of her being
dragged out on the town, being paraded in front of men. Other men.
Other men who would take one look at her and drop to a knee. But that
wasn't my place. It wasn't my concern. At least, it couldn't be. I
needed to get a grip. “Okay. Monday night. At seven.”

Suddenly, that felt forever away.

After the Session

Friday brought with it an early day of work. No one
wanted to see their shrink after work on payday. So I went to see
Eddie's new apartment. It was, well, a step up from the last one
which was a step up from a slum. It looked like he was genuinely
trying to get his life back on track.

I would have been relieved.

If I wasn't spending all my time worried about Ava.

About how off the last session was.

About how shitty I felt when she left.

About the next session.

About it fucking all.

It was consuming me every waking moment.

“What's with you?” Eddie asked, hopping up
onto his faded yellow kitchen counter.

I shook my head, trying to clear it. “Just got
some shit on my mind,” I hedged. I was already messing around
with my professional boundaries. I didn't need to introduce violating
patient/client privilege on top of it all.

Eddie's lips quirked up at one side, making a dimple
etch into his cheek. “I know that look, man.”

“What look?”

“That one. The one that says you got some chick
on your mind.”

If Eddie hadn't snorted, shot, and drank his early
twenties away, he could have gone into something that put his ability
to read people to use. Psychology, like me. Law enforcement.
Military.

“Yeah,” I admitted, figuring it was safe to
at least admit I was having a problem with a woman so long as I
didn't let on what the
real
problem was.

At this, Eddie threw his head back and laughed. It had
been so long since I had witnessed that sight, that I just stood
there and watched. “Shit. I've known you for over twenty years,
Chase. Never knew you to have woman trouble. Too many women wanting
on your dick trouble? Sure. But not the pain in the ass shit like the
rest of us deal with.” He shook his head. “So what's the
deal?”

I ran a hand down the scruff on my face. “Want
her. Can't have her.”

Eddie's brows drew together. “You?
You
can't have her? What is she married or something?”

She might as well have been. “No. Just... can't
have her,” I shrugged.

Then up went Eddie's brows and I knew I should have
kept my fucking mouth shut. “Shit... you caught feelings for a
fucking patient, man? Jesus. You're so fucked.”

That about covered it.

My phone rang late, screaming from the table beside the
front door, making me stumble around my apartment half-awake, having
fallen asleep on my couch. It stopped ringing by the time I got there
and noticed the missed call was from Ava's cell.

Just as I was swiping to call her back, the indicator
light told me I had a message.

“I don't care what Dr. Bowler says,” she
started, her words a little slow. Drunk. She was drunk. I found
myself smiling as I listened, wondering what the hell Dr. Bowler had
told her. “It feels real. And you can be as mea...” Mean?
She thought I had been mean to her? My thoughts cleared though when
her sentence cut off with, “Stop pawing at me!” My heart
skidded into overdrive. Pawing at her? Someone was pawing at her?
Someone she
didn't want to paw at her
was pawing at her? “I
am talking to Chase's machine. Leave me alone,” she added,
attempting stern and failing because whoever the fuck the guy was
that she was with just laughed.
Laughed
. That son of a …

“So... anyway, Chase. I don't care if it's fake,
you know?” Fake? What was fake? “It's okay. I'll deal
with that... okay buddy!” she started, angrier and I heard the
distinct sound of a slap. “Get off my couch. Off. Get off!”
My. Get off
my
couch. She was at home. I was in my shoes and
grabbing my keys by the time she spoke again. “You ruined my
message!” she whined. And then nothing. The line went dead.

Fuck.

Fuck fuck fuck.

It would take me at least ten minutes to get to her
place.

Anything could happen to her in ten minutes.

I tore up her staircase twelve minutes later, hearing
the music and voices as I rounded the corner to her apartment. They
were having some kind of party. That didn't mean she was safe. If
some asshole persuaded her into the bedroom or the bathroom...

And her clueless fucking roommate was probably too busy
skirt chasing to keep an eye on her.

Fuck fuck fuck.

I threw open the door, my eyes moving around the room
frantically. Then I saw the back of her head sitting on the couch
with some ex-frat looking guy with her.

“I don't think I work that way...” she told
him, sounding confused.

“Oh, baby. I can
make
you work that way,”
he offered and I wanted to knock all of his teeth down his fucking
throat.

“You're not allowed to call me that,” she
told him as I came around the couch.

“Why not?”

“Because Chase calls me that,” she said,
stopping me dead and kicking the air out of me.

“Who the hell is Chase?”

“I am,” I said, my words sounding hard even
to my own ears.

Ava's head turned in my direction, looking confused for
a second before her face split into a huge (albeit super drunk) grin.
“It's Chase!” she declared loudly, pointing at me. And
fuck if I didn't want to kiss her silly. “You're here!”

I felt my lips turn up slightly, trying to push my
anger at the idiot beside her away when I was addressing her. “Yeah,
baby.” Then I turned to look at the guy, ready to just tell him
to get lost when I saw he had put his hand on her again. On her
thigh. Way too far up to be appropriate. “Get your hands off of
her,” I hissed, my voice low. “Take a look at her. Does
she really seem like she is in any condition to consent?”

“She's fine, man,” he said, rolling his
eyes. “Who the hell are you?”

“He's Chase!” Ava chimed in, cheery as hell
and I had to fight to keep my eyes off of her.

“Get. Lost.” I enunciated carefully as I
reached down, grabbed him by the front of his shirt, and dragged him
onto his feet.

“Alright. Alright. Fuck. She ain't worth all this
trouble.”

“Hey!” Ava yelled, lowering her eyes at him
like she was angry.

I took a deep breath, pushing the worry and anger
aside, before I looked back at her again. And she looked beautiful.
She was in a tight electric blue dress that fit her like a glove, her
hair straighter than usual, makeup on her eyes, making them pop even
more than they already did. Jesus. “So,” I sighed. “did
you have a fun night?”

“I had a
lot
to drink,” she declared
easily.

“Seems like it,” I agreed, moving into the
empty space beside her. “So where is your friend?”

“Shay?” she asked.

“Yes, Shay.” Why the hell wasn't she
watching out for her friend? Especially when said friend was
obviously a lightweight.

“Oh. Look for the most beautiful girl in the
room. That's her.”

“I'm looking at the most beautiful girl in the
room,” I told her, my hand moving out to stroke her silky hair
though I knew I should have been hightailing it out of there.

Her brows drew together slightly. “You need to
stop saying things like that.”
