“Thanks,” Ball said. “Just a guess, but did your wife have a hand in the pink tie selection, Agent Rawlings?”
I smiled. “Yeah, she’s in charge of my outfits, but it sounded like she was going to start letting me dress myself.”
Ball snorted a laugh and walked from my desk.
I glanced over at Beth who was staring at me.
“You’re actually serious, aren’t you?” she asked.
I smiled and swiveled my chair back toward my computer.
