O
ur round table
echoes with coughs and throat clearing. Duncan is as loud as everyone else as my grandma takes another sip of her wine and repeats her question.

"Why can't I give it to her? I brought it." She eyes each person suspiciously. "I hope you all aren't coming down with something."

My eyes grow wide as I politely lean closer. At the head table Scarlet and Kurt are smiling for pictures and sipping champagne. Sheila just finished her matron-of-honor toast, and it's about time for our uncle to speak. I wish they'd get on with it. I'm hungry, and with the number of glasses of wine Grandma and Mom have had, they need food.

"You didn't?" I whisper to Grandma.

"I most certainly did," she announces triumphantly. "I started thinking about it after our discussion yesterday morning." Her eyes narrow. "You all aren't the only ones with Amazon Prime. Well, and since I won at poker and Scarlet's wedding color is silver, I figured, what better gift for her first night as a married woman than to have a silver vibrator."

Cough! Cough!

"Shhh," Mother says. "Mom, you can't just hand her a vibrator."

More coughs. We're drawing attention.

"Well, it only arrived just before we left. I didn't have time to wrap it."

She lifts her purse, a big leather designer purse that I'm certain she bought at the outlet or maybe a garage sale. It doesn't matter to her, as long as it has a brand name. Then faster than any of us can move, she pulls the plastic enclosed silver bullet vibrator from her purse and tosses it to the table. "See, it's new." She looks my direction. "I would never give a used one."

Cough. Cough
.

"I even brought batteries." She digs in the bottom of her purse. "If I can just find them."

"Grandma, put that away," I say, reaching for the vibrator.

Just then, my uncle steps to the microphone and the room quiets.

"Kimberly Ann, give me back the vibrator!"

Cough, cough, throat clearing
.

I shove the package back into her purse as the room turns our way. My father lays his head on the table while Susan's shoulders slump forward. Kevin shakes his head, and Mother takes another drink of her wine. It isn't until I look toward Duncan that the world suddenly seems right. His smile is classic. His green eyes sparkle and shoulders quake with laughter.

He reaches for my hand and I succumb to the same laughter. It takes a full minute before I can hear the heartfelt speech coming from the microphone.

When the dancing begins, Duncan winks at me as he stands. I start to rise but stop as he leans down and speaks to my grandma. "Helen, would you give me the honor of a dance?"

I smile as I watch her glow and take his hand. Her eyes twinkle as she walks with her hand in his. Compared to his six-foot-plus build, she is petite and small, yet when she looks up at him, her cheeks are pink and full of joy. They glide over the dance floor.

Kevin taps me on the shoulder. "Hey, sis, can I have this dance?"

I nod, still mesmerized by the sight of Duncan Willis dancing with my grandma.

"Sorry I give you such a hard time," Kevin says once we're on the dance floor. "It's great seeing you happy. Dunc is an OK guy."

I swallow the lump in my throat. "Yes, he is."

When the song changes, Kevin and Duncan exchange partners.

"You're even more gorgeous tonight than you were in that gold dress."

I lean into Duncan's arms as he glides me across the floor. "I think you're pretty damn handsome yourself."

"You know what's better about tonight than at the holiday party?"

"What?" I ask, hoping I know the answer.

He moves his lips close to my ear, his warm cinnamon breath kissing my skin and sending chills to my pussy. "Tonight I know what you have under that blue dress, and tonight I'm going to get to enjoy that warm, wet cunt."

I lean back with a smirk. "What makes you think I'm wet, Mr. Willis?"

"You're always wet and ready for me, and I fucking love it."

I
t's
early Sunday afternoon and in a few hours all of Kimbra's family will be gathering for a big pig roast. It's the send-off party before Kurt and Scarlet leave for their honeymoon. Two weeks. They're going to travel around the country for two weeks in a motor home.

I have to admit the idea sounds awful, but then again, a week ago I never would have thought the idea of a pig roast would be appealing. But now I'm looking forward to it.

I asked Kevin if I could borrow his truck and drive back to Indianapolis. It's about a forty-minute drive from where her parents live, but I'm certain I can't find what I want way out in the country. Finding it in the city isn't easy either. The race and race fans consume every available space, but thanks to my phone and Google maps, I accomplish my goal.

As I drive back toward the Joneses' house, I consider what I want to do. What I have planned isn't me, but nothing about this weekend has been me, and for the first time in my life, I love it. I love seeing Kimbra smile, watching her cum, and feeling her shudder around my cock. I love reaching for her hand as we walk, holding her in my arms and listening to her breaths as she sleeps. I adore the taste of her cum as she squirts into my mouth or watching her suck my cock. I love her crazy family and the way her grandma walked up to Scarlet at the reception and handed her the vibrator.

Having anyone permanent in my life never sounded appealing, but Christ! Maybe one day Kimbra will want to take a two-week motor home trip. And if she does, I'll do it. In a few short days, I've seen a different side to a woman I've known for two years, one I really didn't know until now. And now, I don't want to let her go.

Because, fuck, I love her.

Like I said before, I don't pussyfoot around. When I want something, I take it. As I drive up the long driveway of Oscar and Judy's home, I have the sensation of floating—scared of what will happen and excited that it could all be real.

I don't notice or recognize the car parked outside the house, but why would I?

The screen door slams as I stop inside the front room. My world suddenly stops.

Sitting on the couch, next to Susan is the woman from accounting. The woman from the bathroom. The one who almost had my dick in her mouth.

"Duncan," she says as she stands.

I can't even remember her name. Did I ever know it? Why is she here, in Indiana?

The entire room of eyes stares from her to me. I look from Oscar to Judy. Judy to Helen. Helen to Susan, and finally to Kevin. His arms are crossed over his chest and his mouth is in a hard scowl.

"Where's Kimbra?" I ask, ignoring the woman who's taken another step toward me.

"Duncan, aren't you happy to see me?"

"Where's Kimbra?" I ask louder.

"She went for a walk. I wouldn't..." Judy offers.

I don't hear anything else as I take off toward the woods. She has to be there, by that tree where I took her ass. I say a prayer that I'll find the same spot and her.

The sun streams through the leaves as I make my way toward Kimbra. My heart is racing. Fuck whatever is happening on the two-and-a-half-mile oval forty minutes away. This race is for my future, for our future. I watch her as I get closer. When I'm about a football field away her shoulders tense, but she doesn't turn.

"Go away," she says, her voice strong and strained.

I don't listen.

"Go away!" she yells this time turning.

Her eyes are puffy and cheeks are wet. When I'm near enough to touch her, I stop. "Kimbra, what happened?"

"Carla. Carla happened."

"Who the fuck is Carla?"

Kimbra's lips form a tight line. "Really, Duncan? She was the woman with you in that bathroom and you want to pretend you don't know her name?"

"I don't. I didn't."

Kimbra slaps the sides of her hips with her hands. "Is that supposed to make it better?"

"No," I admit. "It makes me a douche bag. I was going to let her suck me and I didn't know her name. I still don't understand why she's here."

"Remember when I told you that I was dating Timothy and then we weren't?"

I try to keep up with her thoughts. "Yes, what does that—"

"Shut up. Just shut up!" Tears slide down her cheeks. "After the holiday party, Timothy and I went to a New Year's Eve thing at someone's apartment. Carla was there. I couldn't find Tim. I found him with her.
With
her!"

I reach for her shoulders. Though she tries to pull away, I refuse to let her go. "Why is she here?"

"She's a friend, an acquaintance of Susan's. Susan posted pictures from the wedding on Facebook and Carla saw you with me. She came here to tell me that the two of you..."

"That we what? I didn't even know her fucking name."

"That you're
involved
. I asked you if you were. You lied to me."

"No, I didn't lie. I wasn't involved. I've never been involved." I swallow. "Kimbra, please listen to me."

She shakes her head. "No. Leave. I can't do this. Not here. In New York, maybe. There I'm tough, I'm kick-ass, but here..."

I fall to my knees and reach for her hands. "Sweetheart, you're kick-ass here, too."

Her eyes open as teardrops dangle from her lashes. "What?"

"Kimberly Ann Jones, you
are
kick-ass. Whether you're firing a boardroom full of people or you're standing up to your brother's and cousins' smart remarks. You're kick-ass and beautiful and fun and smart and I could go on and on."

"Why? Why are you on your knees?"

Letting go of one of her hands, I reach down into the pocket of my jeans and pull out a small box. "This wasn't the way I planned it. I wanted some grand proposal in front of your family, in front of your cousins and grandma, but I can't let you think that the woman back there means anything to me." I open the box, showing her a two-carat diamond solitaire on a platinum band embedded with another carat of smaller diamonds.

Kimbra gasps as she covers her plump lips with her free hand.

Before I say another word, I scan the ground and then the trees. "Just a minute," I say as I rush to a tree with white flowers. Breaking a small branch I return, fall to my knees, hand her the dogwood flowers, and reach for her other hand. "You offered me a deal. Now, I have a deal for you. Here's another flower, one I hope you'll let me pick. Miss Jones, I've never proposed before. I've never even considered it, but this weekend..." I squeeze her hand. "I don't want it to end. I don't want it to be pretend or a fantasy. I want it to be my life, our life."

"Carla?" she asks.

I ignore her and go on. "I've been selfish and made poor decisions, but the other night at that club, I didn't want any other woman. I realized that I never want another woman. How could I when I finally found the woman of my dreams? The one I want to love for the rest of my life.

"Kimberly Ann, I love you. Will you please do me the honor of being Mrs. Willis? Will you be beside me forever and let me be the one to pick your flowers? Will you consider having hundreds of babies so we fit in with your family? Will you marry me?"

Kimbra swallows as her cheeks rise. "Oh God."

"No, just me, wanting to be with until we're both old and gray and beyond."

She nods as a new tear descends her cheek. "I-I love you too. And yes, I'll marry you, but babies...can we negotiate the number?"

My chest swells. "As long as I get to fuck you day and night, the number of babies is negotiable."

I stand and take the ring from the box. Kimbra reaches out her hand, I slip the diamond ring over her knuckle, and she sheds more tears.

"I-I never..." She looks from the ring to me.

"Neither did I, but that deal you made me was too good to pass up. I've known you for over two years and I've lusted after you, but after this weekend, I know I can't live without you." I brush my lips with hers. "Kimberly Ann, I love you."

The End

P.S. In case you were wondering...

Kimbra and Duncan, with the help of her family, kick Carla off the farm.

Once they returned to New York, Kimbra has the honor of letting Carla know she is fired for inappropriate fraternization. Although that was the plan all along, finding her again, in the bathroom with another employee's cock in her mouth made the termination easier and kept Duncan out of the equation.

Mr. and Mrs. Duncan Willis's wedding is back in Indiana. Her cousin Jillian is the one without a date, but that's a story for another day. And although Kimbra assures her grandma she has a vibrator to match her wedding colors, Amazon is having a special. Thankfully, this time, grandma orders in time to wrap her gift.

Babies are coming, but the number is still under negotiation.
