All the ancient molespeak sections are correct AND original, no matter how much it looks like OCR scanning errors. The way songs and poems are offset is right from the book; I’m no poet, so there must be a reason for doing them that way.

Enjoy the book, they are among my favorites, and I hope there are many more people who can enjoy these now. I do not think they can be purchased online for ereaders yet. Mr. Horwood, or whomever, feel free to use and edit this scan if you decide to sell online. I plan on working on the rest of the series over the next few molemonths as time permits.

About the Author

Formerly a journalist for the
London Daily Mail,
William Horwood grew up in. Oxfordshire, England, where the forests resemble those of Duncton Wood. For eighteen months prior to writing his novel, Horwood returned to those forests, living as an ascetic in a one-room shack, immersing himself in the world of animals, wildflowers, and the seasons. To create his characters, however, Horwood relied on human inspiration.
Horwood, 34, is now at work on his second novel. It is set well outside the realm of Duncton Wood.
The national bestseller by
the author of THE WOMAN’S ROOM,
now in paperback.
