“Oh, Jeremy.”
He circled her left nipple with his tongue, swirling around until it was pointed into a perfect bud. She felt a jolt of pleasure as he took the bud into his mouth, sucking it back, tugging on it between his teeth.
“Yes,” Bailey moaned.
His stubble brushed across her breast as he moved over to the other nipple, licking around the areola, swirling, then tugging. And then he nipped it, just a gentle bite. Bailey let out a squeal of delight.
“I want you,” Bailey said. “I want you now.”
She reached back for the waist of his jeans, popping open his buttons. Even as he continued to drop butterfly kisses down her cleavage and stomach, her fingers found his hard shaft. She wrapped her fingers around his rigid member, stiff with lust. Already she could feel the silky lubrication on its tip, but before she could get a firm grasp on it, she felt him going lower, then lower, finally ending up at her place.
“Oh, yes,” Bailey murmured.
Jeremy hooked his thumbs under her panties and peeled back the wet fabric to reveal her glistening folds. Bailey’s depths throbbed with desire. The straw was scratchy beneath her, but more persistent was the aching within her. She wanted him to touch her. She wanted to feel him inside of her.
She clasped her fingers around Jeremy’s sinewy neck, pulling him home, and in the next moment his strong chin disappeared between her thighs. Bailey opened her legs wider to accommodate him as she felt his face sink into her pussy. His dextrous tongue licked up from the bottom of her crease right to the very top, licking around her clit until it was taut with desire. He went on like that, swirling his tongue around the base of her nubbin, slowly circling it, working upward, like he was building a tower of pleasure.
Bailey lay back farther into the hay. It was almost too much. She needed to get her bearings. She needed to slow down her pulse. But she couldn’t, not when she was being subjected to this wicked pleasure. Jeremy’s masterful tongue circled around and around and she felt a force building within her. It was an almighty force that she was powerless to ignore. The sparks had already ignited within her, radiating out from her core. She pushed his face farther into her pussy. The combination of the danger of the chase and the powerful strokes of Jeremy’s tongue threatened to send her over the edge. But she didn’t want to go over the edge. Not yet.
Tell that to the waves of pleasure radiating out from her core.
I hardly know this man.
But he saved me.
But who is he?
What does it matter?
She felt Jeremy take her entire nubbin into his mouth, teasing it between his lips, and the last vestiges of her self-control deserted her. She abandoned herself to the moment. She surrendered to infinite pleasure and let go. The cascade of delight let loose in thunderous waves, as if to diffuse the fiery sparks flying from her core. The waves just kept radiating outward, one after another. She couldn’t take any more. She needed him inside of her. Now.
“Take me,” she said.
She pulled him up from between her legs, grasping at his shaft.
“Take me, Jeremy. Fuck me now.”
Her limbs felt like liquid. She didn’t think she’d be able to stand if she wanted to. But she didn’t want to. What she wanted was to have him inside of her. She tugged on his hardness, pulling him near. He was big, bigger than any man she’d ever seen. But it didn’t surprise her that a man this good with his tongue would also be huge. Like bread and butter, his size and his skill just seemed like two things that would go together.
Eruptions of pleasure continued to emanate from deep within Bailey’s core. He could have taken her right there, lying there on the hay, but he lifted her. He picked her up almost effortlessly by her hips and turned her around so that she knelt with her knees on the lower bale of hay and her elbows resting on the next bale up. She spread her knees just a little more, her back to him, and thrust her butt toward him. Then she reached behind to her slick crease and spread herself wide with her fingers, ready for him, waiting…
“I want you,” Bailey said.
“Are you sure you’re ready?”
“Yes. I’m sure. Take me.”
She turned her head and saw him rummaging in his pocket. He pulled a condom out of his wallet and tore open the package, rolling the sheath down over his massive member. She would have liked to have done it herself, would have liked to have felt his hardness between her hands, but he had brought her to such a state that she doubted she had the patience. She needed him inside of her. Fast.
She knew she was wet because she could feel her juices flowing down her inner thigh. Then she felt the tip of his hardness gently parting her folds. She didn’t know if he was too big for her. She didn’t know if he would stretch her tight entrance to the breaking point. But he was in no hurry. He teased up and down her pussy lips.
Don’t tease. Please, don’t tease.
“Just do it,” Bailey said.
“I’m pretty big,” he said, warning her.
“I’m ready.”
Bailey’s world was reduced to a single sensation in the moments that followed. She felt him entering her, slowly and deliberately. The tip, then the shaft, and then the next inch, and the next. He filled her slowly but surely, like nothing could stop the progression of his cock as it slowly drove the air out of her lungs, until she was completely full. He let it rest there inside her for a moment, and then he pulled out, all the way to the tip, emptying her out before plunging back in again, a little quicker this time, a little more forcefully.
“Oh, Jeremy.”
“Bailey.”
“Jeremy.”
He went in, then out, then in again. She thrust herself back to meet him as he plunged into her, and they found their rhythm. Faster. Harder. Bailey felt the pressure building within her again. The pressure that had nowhere to go but out, the pleasure that desperately needed release. But he was fast. He plunged into her more and more quickly and she matched his every movement, grinding out toward him. She felt the familiar tension building within her again, winding tighter and tighter, and she knew she was close, probably too close to control her release.
“Are you ready?”
“I’ll wait for you,” Bailey moaned.
“Are you sure?”
“Yes.”
She felt his cock pulse within her.
“Yesss…” he growled loudly.
“Ohhh…” Bailey moaned.
The dam broke as she felt him coming inside of her. She came as well, the two of them releasing as one. He held her there, spasming within her, and she held him, her slick channel tightening around him, holding him tight. He thrust one final time and groaned loudly. She saw stars. She saw the sky and moon and sunlight all at once as it shone brightly through the gaps in the barn walls. She saw eternity in that moment, and she thought he surely did too. Then he wrapped his strong arms around her, his hands cupping her breasts as they lay there, his chest on her back, his length still inside of her.
“That was amazing,” Bailey whimpered.
“You were amazing,” Jeremy said. “You are amazing. You’re the most amazing woman I’ve ever met.”
At first Bailey was taken aback by the words. After all, they barely knew each other. But he said the words like he meant them. He said them like he cared. He pulled out slowly, rising beside her. She turned and lay back in the hay, unabashedly naked, unashamed to be seen by this handsome, powerful man.
Jeremy went to the car and removed his condom. Then he popped the trunk and pulled out a towel. He returned to her, his massive member still partially erect.
“You keep towels in your trunk?”
“And shirts and shoes. I haven’t exactly unpacked yet.”
He bent over her and wiped her inner thighs and folds with the towel. Bailey couldn’t believe he was so thoughtful. She pulled on her jeans as elegantly as she could. It was a little harder to be sexy after the fact, but Jeremy didn’t make it uncomfortable. He made it easy, like it was the most natural thing in the world. Bailey bent down for her panties.
“Here. Let me get those for you.”
He picked them up and folded them, handing them to her with a smile.
“Who are you?”
“I think the bigger question is what did those guys in the car want?”
Bailey bit her tongue. “I’m not sure.”
“You don’t have to shield me,” Jeremy said.
“You can’t know who they are, Jeremy. I can’t do that to you.”
“Then allow me.”
“Allow you to what?”
“Allow me to tell you who they are and why they were chasing you. They’re the Petroni Organization.”
How does he know that?
“They were chasing you for the same reason they go after anyone. To pay debts and eliminate loose ends. They were chasing you because you’re on their list.”
Bailey’s jaw dropped. Jeremy shouldn’t have known this. Even being from the South Side, it was unlikely that he would know this. But he did. Why?
************************
Jeremy, you idiot, look at how she’s looking at you. You just took a good thing and ruined it. Too much information too soon. You’ve scared her. Stupid bear.
“How do you know that?” Bailey asked quietly.
“How do I know what?”
“About the Petronis. How do you know about them?”
“I’ve had some contact with them in the past.”
“I need you to take me home now,” Bailey said coldly.
“No. You don’t understand.”
“I need you to take me home right now.”
************************
Jeremy drove Bailey home. They didn’t talk much, in fact, they didn’t talk at all. A sudden change had come over Bailey, but Jeremy didn’t push it. He simply dropped her off at her apartment and drove away. She didn’t even offer a goodbye. What had gone wrong? Why had she turned so cold? Everything had been awesome. More than awesome. Everything had been fantastic. Jeremy felt his inner bear roar in frustration. Just because he’d admitted to prior contact with the Petroni Organization, she had gone off the deep end. Her attitude toward him had changed completely.
What had the Petronis done to her? Jeremy suddenly felt invested. More invested than he had ever been. And there was a reason for it. Jeremy hadn’t thought it would happen, but he was sure of what he felt now. He knew he that he had found his mate in Bailey. She was, beyond a shadow of a doubt, the one. Now he just need to convince her of that fact.
Unfortunately, there were more immediate issues to be faced. Namely, the Petroni crime family. Jeremy kept a good eye out as he drove. He picked up the phone as he approached his father’s lodge. He dialed and it rang once.
“Jeremy,” Vito Petroni answered like he was happy to hear from him.
“What do you want from me?” Jeremy asked.
“Is that a way to talk to an old friend?” Vito asked.
“We were never friends. Now what the hell happened this afternoon?”
“Why don’t you tell me?” Vito said.
Jeremy glanced in his rearview mirror to confirm he wasn’t being tailed.
“Your boys made a big deal out of following me. I lost them.”
“As we would expect. You’re not the best wheelman in the business because you’re slow.”
“I’m not the best wheelman in the business at all anymore. I retired, remember?”
“See, that’s the thing, Jeremy. You don’t just retire. Not from us.”
“Except I did.”
“You’re not thinking clearly, Jeremy. There’s more than just you at stake here.”
“What do you mean by that?”
“Just think it through.”
Vito hung up.
Jeremy hammered the gas as he drove the Vette up the final stretch of twisting mountain road. He pulled into his father’s gravel drive as soon as he saw the giant wrought-iron gate. As he entered his father’s forested mountain retreat, he felt his bear welling to the surface. What had just happened? Did Vito Petroni really think he could keep him under his thumb? He had told him in no uncertain terms that he was done with the business, that he had left it behind. Did Vito believe he could control him with a couple of goons and a phone call?
Sure, Jeremy had done some questionable things. Almost everyone who had grown up on the South Side of the city had. But he had turned himself around. That was behind him now. No more getaway driving. No more consorting with the criminal element. Never again. That was part of the reason he had come to Wild Summit. To leave his old way of life behind. To start fresh.
Jeremy slowed as he pulled in front of his father’s grand log home. Sure was different from the two-bedroom apartment he had grown up in with his mother and her latest boyfriend. That place was a roach infested hole. Too bad he hadn’t taken his father up on his offer to move up here when he was a boy. But at the time his mother had poisoned him with lies about his dad. He hadn’t wanted to leave his friends in the city for the woods. Now, however, he felt differently. He felt like he had come home. Jeremy hopped out of the car as one of the garage doors opened. Brandon sat there astride a motorcycle.
“Heard you come in, bro. What’s up?” Brandon asked.
“You don’t want to hear,” Jeremy said.
“Before it was a greeting. Now I’m really asking you. What’s up?”
“My old job,” Jeremy said.
Brandon’s smile fell immediately. “You said that was behind you,” he said in a low growl.
“I did,” Jeremy said. “And it is.”
“But?”
“But the people I used to work for don’t seem to get that. They showed up in town today.”
“I warned you not to bring that here with you, Jeremy.”
“I didn’t mean to, OK?”
“No, it’s not OK.”
Jeremy approached Brandon as he got off the bike. Jeremy could tell that he wasn’t happy and he didn’t blame him. Brandon and Jada were going to get married. He had cubs on the way. He needed a safe place to raise a family. Not this. Nobody needed the Petronis in their backyard. No, he didn’t blame Brandon for being angry with him, because he deserved it.
“There’s something else,” Jeremy said.
“What?” Brandon asked gruffly.
“Bailey.”
Chapter Four
The first thing Bailey did when she got to her apartment was to double-bolt the door. The second thing was to start stuffing her suitcases full of clothes. She didn’t pick and choose what was she going to bring with her. She just jammed whatever was clean into the bags. Then she raided her sugar jar to check how much emergency cash she had on hand. Three hundred and twenty bucks and some change. It wasn’t as much as she would have liked, but it would have to do. That combined with the half tank of gas in her econobox car and she figured she could get pretty far away. Fifteen hundred miles if she pushed it, with enough left over for a couple nights stay in a rundown motel. Sure, she wouldn’t have anything once she got there, but she could hide. Hide from
them.
