But his eyes were teasing now and his lips twitched.

Should I thank Providence, then, for sending me a naughty little minx to plague and tease and torment me for the rest of my life?'

Clare broke into giggles. ‘Ogre!' She shook a threatening fist. ‘You wait, Sir Rupert Wolverley. I am going to lead you

a dance.'

Then,' said her husband softly, gathering her back into his arms, ‘I shall dance.'
