ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Tristan Donovan
is a nonfiction author and freelance journalist and editor. Born in London in 1975, he planned to become an ecologist before getting distracted by journalism. Since then he has contributed to numerous newspapers, magazines, and websites, including BBC News Online, the
Times
(London),
Stuff, Community Care,
the
Guardian,
and
Kotaku.

He is the author of
Replay: The History of Video Games
and
Fizz: How Soda Shook Up the World.
That playing too many video games while drinking too much soda featured heavily in his childhood is just coincidence.

He lives in Lewes, East Sussex, in the UK with his husband and two ham-obsessed dachshunds.
