Read Fighting Perfection (The Perfection Series Book 2) Online
Authors: Heather Guimond
This is going to seem odd, but I want to apologize for the way I concluded this story. That is to say, for not giving you much of a conclusion at all. Mimi’s story is so lengthy, it would have taken me about eight-hundred pages to tell the rest of it and wrap things up with a nice little bow. I took your words to heart and tried to deliver you a furtherance of the story that you would enjoy as soon as possible. I know how frustrating it is to be left wanting more. Believe me, I have many times finished a book longing to continue to read about my new friends.
Middle installments in any trilogy, be it books or movies are always tricky. There’s just so much story left to tell and a short amount of time to do it in. They’re a bridge of sorts, leading you from the beginning to the end. Please don’t curse my name for leaving you hanging. Just know that the next book will bring the drama between all of the characters to an end, and hopefully the satisfaction you want. In the meantime, I offer you Fighting Perfection as a way to visit your friends and see what they’ve gotten up to while you’ve been apart.
Thank you for purchasing my books. I hope we have many adventures together.
As before, several people helped bring this book to life. I can’t begin to explain the depth of my gratitude for all of the assistance these people provided to bring you a story that you have hopefully enjoyed. No novel is ever written alone.
First and foremost, I need to thank Chris Nelson for being my inspiration for James, collaborating on ideas for scenes in the book, as well as being my resource for all things U.S Navy, planes and piloting aircraft. Any mistakes made in this regard are completely my own, or used with dramatic license.
To my editor, Nicki Kuzn at Booktique Editing, who is not only thorough and fabulous, but for also for being a great part of my support system, and for stepping up to beta read for me when I was having a meltdown. She goes the extra mile, and I am deeply indebted to her.
To Kathy Horne, Janine Wijker Townes, and Nick Marsh for being the best beta readers I could ask for, and for their willingness to read under a deadline. Their critique and comments kept me going and helped me make this as good a story as I could. I couldn’t be more grateful.
To my Aunt, Nickii Fowler, for always being there to support me and listen to me talk endlessly about my books.
I especially thank my husband for his input, his praise and his unwavering belief in my abilities. I am so fortunate to have a partner who thinks I’m perfect no matter what I do, and who handles all of the hard work and responsibilities in the real world while I get to sit and live out fantasies on these pages every day.
To my three “babies” who are always interested in how many books I’ve sold and how the current writing is coming along. They never fail to give me praise and tell me how awesome their mom is.
Most of all, a big Thank You to everyone who bought Shattered Perfection, especially those who took the time to share their opinions of the story with me, even the few who didn’t like it. Reviews are like gold to all authors. You make the whole process of writing a book worthwhile. You’re the reason we do it, and your feedback helps not only us, but others to decide whether to read a book or not. Without you, there’s no point in any of it. Never underestimate the power of your opinion!
