He looked up at Harper. Her head was thrown back as Theo bent over her, licking and sucking on her nipple as he held her leg up with one hand and fingered her with the other. She was lovely, one hand on each man, welcoming their attention without shame. Flynn was determined to give her the best pleasure, but he also wanted to give her original experiences, take her to new heights. Flynn took Theo’s hand from her clit and dipped it inside her wetness, coating his finger. Theo glanced down at Flynn, never ceasing his attention to her breasts.

“Trust me,” Flynn said to Harper as he took Theo’s now lubricated finger and directed it behind Harper’s body, between her cheeks. Now that Theo had experienced what it was like to have someone at his ass, Flynn trusted him to take the lead with Harper.

“I don’t—” she said with a stutter, eyes wide as they watched her.

“I won’t do it if you don’t want me to,” Theo said, watching her intently.

She licked her lips, glancing between the both of them, then nodded.

“Was that a yes?” Flynn asked, needing to be clear.

“Yes, do it.”

Theo grinned and then asked, “Do what?”

Flynn never knew Harper to be embarrassed by words. She met Theo’s brazen gaze with an equal amount of nerve and answered his challenge.

“Put your finger in my ass.”

The moment she said the word, Flynn went back to her clit and licked energetically. He could see Theo’s arm adjust and Harper’s eyes widen.

“Oh shit.” Her nipples were hard, and there was sweat forming between her breasts. Her pussy was dripping, and Flynn had a sudden desire to feel that wetness around his cock. He needed it. Now.

“Harper,” he said against her pussy, the scent strong, adding to his desire. “I want to fuck you. Let me.”

“Yes. Yes,” was all she had the breath to say.

Flynn reached over to his pants, crumpled on the floor, and pulled out a condom. He tore the wrapping, then fitted the condom over his painfully hard cock. His stomach ached. He needed badly to fuck her.

He stood, adjusting their position until her back rested against Theo’s chest and Flynn was directly in front of her. He spread her legs farther, lifted her with Theo’s support, and then drove into her.

“Flynn,” she cried out, wrapping her arms around his neck and leaning in to kiss him. He met her in time, grinding his cock inside her, wanting to add to the pleasure and intensity of having Theo’s finger and his length rubbing and fucking her. He began to thrust, fully supporting her weight against Theo’s chest while Theo continued to finger her ass.

“Add another finger, Theo,” Flynn said as he pushed his cock inside Harper’s wet pussy, hard. He wanted her to be stretched, to feel them both. “Imagine Theo’s cock inside you, Harper. I’m fucking your pussy while he gets your ass, both of us in you at once. Would you want that?” He picked up his pace, egging her on with both his words and his body. “Tell me.”

“Fuck, yes, I want that.” She gripped his hair, bit his ear, frenzied in her movements. “Harder, both of you. I want it harder.”

They gave her what she wanted. Flynn kept his thrusts tempered with a rough power he wouldn’t have usually used with a woman. But Harper was tough, and he could see in her fevered glare that she needed this. She had worries upon worries on her shoulders, and he was happy to take the weight and give her relief.

Behind her, Flynn watched at Theo sucked on three of his fingers, soaking them until they were dripping. Her pussy tensed as Theo took the single finger out of her and replaced it with the three. She groaned, her eyes closed shut. She bit Flynn’s shoulder, giving pain and pleasure to Flynn as Theo was doing for her.

“Relax,” Theo whispered in her ear. “Let me in—that’s it. That’s sexy. Shit, I can’t wait to have my cock inside your ass, rubbing against Flynn’s as he’s in your pussy.”

“Oh fuck, oh fuck—” she gasped, and her cunt squeezed Flynn’s cock like a vise, milking him until he couldn’t take it anymore. His thrusts became sharp and quick, his balls tightening, his gut twisted into painful need, and then he was there, coming with her, kissing her through it and groaning as hot cum filled the condom. One day it would be directly inside her, but it was still fucking good this way.

They came down, his cock tender and softening inside her until it slipped out. He dropped one of her legs to grip the condom, making sure it didn’t come off inside her. He stepped back, removing the condom, intending to throw it out in the trash. But Harper was there, kissing him as though she wanted more, still frantic. The condom dropped to the floor as he wrapped his arms around her, kissing her for all he was worth. His body was spent, and he couldn’t give her what she needed, but Theo was a beast behind her, panting and gritting his teeth.

Flynn grabbed Harper’s shoulders and guided her down until her hips stood out. He licked his lips, wishing he could be hard again, wanting her to suck his cock while Theo fucked her. Theo pulled a condom from one of the kitchen drawers—Flynn had to raise an eyebrow at that particular placement—then quickly tore it open and sheathed his long dick. Without any pretense, he pressed into Harper.

They both moaned, and Theo didn’t take any time to build up to a quick tempo. He fucked her fast, gripping her hips and sliding her on and off him. She held on to Flynn for support, bracing against his abdomen. And as he watched Theo pounding his cock into Harper’s slight frame, her breast swaying beneath her, and her round ass rippling with each thrust, Flynn could feel his cock harden.

“Oh, good,” were the only words he heard before Harper wrapped her mouth around his cock.

Theo stepped back with her hips still gripped between his hands, allowing her more room to bend and reach Flynn’s member. Her mouth was hot, and he knew this wouldn’t take long.

“Suck me hard, and I’m gonna fucking go off.”

Theo grinned, then with a hard moan thrust once more into Harper and stayed there, grinding inside her as he came. Flynn leaned forward the same time Theo did, and they met over Harper’s body, kissing, panting into one another’s mouths as Flynn came once again and Harper shuddered beneath them. She swallowed all of Flynn, licking and sucking as he came in her mouth. After a moment or two, his cock slipped free of her, and she relaxed her head against his hip.

“My knees are gonna collapse.”

“Shit,” Theo said, pulling out of her and helping to ease her to the floor. She sat with her back against Theo, eyes closed and panting. Her hair was matted with sweat, and she had a small smudge of cum on her face.

“You’re beautiful,” Flynn said as he knelt in front of her and leaned forward to lick his mess off her face.

She smiled. “You two will have to finish breakfast,” she said. “I’m going back to sleep.”

“Give us a minute to work up the energy.” Theo’s breathing was beginning to return to normal, but he looked as wiped as Flynn felt.

“Let’s wake up like that every morning. Deal?”

Harper opened one eye. “Once you’re finished with your morning grumpiness.”

Flynn pouted as they both laughed at him. “I can’t wake up without coffee,” he said over their laughter.

“You’ll have to,” Harper said.

“Why?”

“I’d like to have morning sex in a bed and not in a kitchen one of these days.”

“Well, that’s why you’ll need to bring me my coffee in the morning whenever we spend the night together.”

Theo and Harper tackled him to the floor for that and displayed exactly what they thought of his suggestion by way of tickling. The bacon and scones were long forgotten and thoroughly burned.

Chapter Nine

Theo stood in Harper’s apartment—her one room, rather—looking at all the pictures and drawings taped to her wall. He’d come here frequently over the past couple of weeks, volunteering at the kitchen and helping Harper how he could while the Full Spoon was still open. She was resigned to the shutdown and had begun informing those who depended on her for a meal about what was to come. They argued, tried to come up with ideas on how to save it, and then as the week progressed stopped showing up for lunch. Harper said they were probably looking for a new spot or didn’t want to rely on her anymore since they wouldn’t have the place for much longer. Theo could see her heart breaking for it. She thought she was a failure, and every time he or Flynn attempted to talk to her about it, come up with a new solution, she brushed them off, unwilling to discuss the matter…or how it affected her.

It was usually around closing time, as she and the other volunteers wiped down the kitchens and said good night to the latecomers, that Theo would come up to her private sanctuary, try to parse what was going on in Harper’s mind. To the shock of his coworkers, he’d taken fewer hours at the hospital to spend more time with Harper and Flynn, passing responsibilities on to those who had been asking for more work for a while. Thinking back on it, he didn’t know why he’d kept those hours from the other employees. Why had he spent all of his time working? That’s what his life had been. School, more school, then work. What was it for? Looking at the mementos in Harper’s room, he was almost ashamed to admit a person with little to no formal education had done more with her life, despite having spent a good portion of it on the streets, than he had done while working at the hospital. Yes, he had saved a few lives, but he’d treated the experience like any other desk job. There was no relief after the victories, only anger and frustration after the failures. It was only defeat he reacted to, a job ill done. When had he become as boring as an empty, whitewashed room?

These photos made him envious, especially the one he couldn’t stop staring at. Two young girls, clearly homeless but happy in this one frozen moment. Theo wasn’t an idiot to think Harper’s time on the streets had been an adventure, he knew she was probably half-starved for years, and who knew what else she’d had to endure…what she’d done to keep herself fed. He wouldn’t judge her for any choices she’d made. If she ever felt it was time to tell him, he’d listen with an open heart, then hold her when it was over, make sure she knew she was wanted and safe. She’d made a bad choice by running away and then had been punished for it for years afterward. He wouldn’t punish her further by giving her anything but love and support now.

But he couldn’t shake this girl in the picture with Harper… They were smiling, laughing at a private joke, yet there was something sad about it. Perhaps it was in the way Harper’s light seemed to dim a bit every time she looked at it.

“Even homeless, Harper looks fearless, doesn’t she?” Flynn said as he entered the small room.

Theo held his arm open and welcomed the man, enfolding him in a hug as they came together. He hadn’t seen Flynn for half the week, and he’d missed him. Harper had been staying on and off at his apartment and would probably continue to, at least until they figured out what she would do once the building was repossessed.

“Has she ever talked about this picture to you?” Theo asked, kissing Flynn on the cheek, happy to see him.

“You mean when I was a simple volunteer? No, we weren’t close, not B.T.”

“B.T.?”

“Before Theo.” Flynn winked.

Theo had to kiss Flynn for that.

When they pulled apart, Flynn asked, “Why? What’s wrong?”

“It’s not me, but I feel like it has significance for Harper. Has she ever spoken about her time on the streets?”

Flynn laughed, his head shaking as he pulled away to walk toward Harper’s sleeping area.

“What?” Theo asked, itching to know the joke.

“She asks these kinds of questions about you.”

“Like what?”

“Mostly about your parents and if you’ve ever mentioned them, or what you do in your free time when you’re not at work.”

Those types of snooping questions made Theo’s face burn. Why couldn’t she ask him herself? “Why does she think you’d know any of that?”

Flynn shrugged, playing with the curtain separating the bed from the room.

“Tell me.”

Flynn sighed heavily. “She thinks you…are a boring son of a bitch and wants to make sure you’re not clinically depressed before dumping you. Not me, only you, by the way.”

“Can’t you ever be serious?”

“I’m serious at work; I’m serious at home. Why do I have to be serious here?”

“I’m trying to have a conversation with you.”

“It’s about the third person in this relationship, and I’m going to tell you what I told her. You two want to know about each other,
then ask
. It’s not that hard. You both spend the most time together anyway. Are you too busy fucking to talk?” Flynn wasn’t looking at Theo, still playing with the curtain, now in an agitated way. Theo could hear the bitter tone in Flynn’s voice clear as day.

It was true, Harper and Theo were untethered by family or responsibilities outside of work. They didn’t have a child to go home to and care for and were able to spend every evening since the start of the relationship together. Flynn would spend weekends and some nights with them. Occasionally the only time he could spare was a short visit after dinner, and then he was gone. He had a son, and Flynn made it clear Ben was the most important thing in his life. He wouldn’t sacrifice time he could be spending with Ben for them. It was frustrating, but it painted Flynn in such an honorable light that Theo could only like him more for it. Tonight would be the first evening in a while that they’d have dinner and spend the night together.

“This isn’t working,” Theo said, crossing his arms as an idea formed in his mind.

“Shit. I knew this would fucking happen, but I thought you would be stronger and it could last a little longer than the others.” As Flynn strode out the door, his face scrunched, Theo stared after him, wondering what the fuck had just happened. Then, with a curse for his idiocy, he replayed the words he’d said.

“Flynn, wait, that’s not what I meant,” Theo yelled as he ran down the rickety hallway, catching Flynn by the back of his shirt before he began to descend the stairs. Flynn turned around, still standing on the top stair, looking obstinate. “Hear me out.”

“It’s not necessary. I understand.”

Theo cupped Flynn’s cheeks, unable to hold back his grin at Flynn’s stubbornness. “Shut up and listen to me. I have a spare bedroom that I’m sure Ben would be comfortable in. Why can’t you bring him over some nights? It will let you spend more time with us. I understand you can’t move a kid around too much without confusing them, but at least this will give us more time together. Other than us going to your house—”
