I threw a hand over my face and let
out a muffled groan. “I know Dylan, I feel the same way. It’s just…I didn’t
even have to think about giving my virginity up to you. It felt so right and
I’m happy it was with you.” I cracked a finger and took in his shocked
expression, his brown eyes going wide.
“You were a virgin? I mean I could
tell that you were pretty innocent, but not
that
innocent,” he sputtered
out, rubbing a hand over his face. “Um, yes. Aren’t guys supposed to be able to
tell or something?”
“Uh, not that I know of, it’s not
like some kind of signal goes off, alerting us of virgins. I mean I could feel
how tight you were but I didn’t stop to think…Why didn’t you say something? If
I would have known I would have taken things a lot slower. Maybe lit candles
and some of that other girly shit.”
I let out a snort as I rolled over
and straddled his body with mine. A grin spreading across my face at the
thought that he might have tried to be romantic…even a little bit, I guess.
“It’s not that Dylan. Last night was perfect and exactly how I wanted it. It’s
just that I’m still with Ben and even though we aren’t serious, I feel like I
betrayed him.”
Dylan bit his lip as he
contemplated what I had just said. “I see your point Paige, but you’re mine
now.” His hands grasped my hips to pull me down closer and I could feel his
erection pushing against me, instantly making me wet. “You just have to break
it to him; I mean you don’t really have to tell him about us if you don’t want
to. Just let him down easily.”
I nodded my head and leaned down to
kiss him. “Your right, that’s what I’ll do. Who needs Kitty when I can come to
you for all of the advice?” He grinned as his tongue slipped out from between
his lips to meet mine.
Morning breath? I don’t think that
existed when it came to Dylan Turner. I felt him lift me by the hips slightly
and he easily slid into me from underneath entering my warmth, easing all of
the tension right out of my body.
Dylan
I groaned into the empty pillow,
deeply breathing in Paige’s scent that she had left behind. After the most
amazing night (and morning) of my life, she had gotten dressed, saying that she
needed to head back to her dorms to freshen up before we met up for tailgating.
Watching her cover up that
beautiful naked body was almost painful, and I had to throw a pillow over my
face before I dragged her back into my empty feeling bed. I knew how nervous
she was about talking to Ben though, so I let her go.
She asked that I keep my hands to
myself for the day until she broke the news to the douchebag and I reluctantly
agreed. Plus, I knew she was meeting up with her best friend, Jake, after the
game since our teams were playing each other and I figured they would want some
time to hang.
I was a little nervous about
meeting yet another guy in Paige’s life, but she insisted that they were just
friends, nothing more. When she filled me in that he would be spending the
night with her, it took everything in me not to explode. A white- hot fury
filled my chest that I had never experienced before, just thinking about
another guy getting to spend the night with my Sparky.
But our relationship was fresh; I
didn’t want to start things off looking like a jealous jackass. We needed to
learn how to trust each other and I guess this was the best test. Hopefully,
the guy had gotten beaten with the ugly stick, but I figured that wasn’t the
case. Paige was most likely oblivious that her ‘best friend’ was in love with
her.
What guy, in his right mind,
wouldn’t be when it came to her? I mean holy fuck, I could still remember how
she looked when she came on my dick this morning, the most beautiful sight I
had ever seen.
Her head tossed back, with curls
flowing around her bare, pale shoulders. Her puffy lips pursed in
concentration, causing her cheekbones to jut out even more, while I gripped her
full, round ass in my hands, pulling her body down to meet mine with a hard
thrust. Fuck, I was getting hard just thinking about it.
A loud banging on my door
interrupted my fantasy and I heard Chris shout through the door. “C’mon Turner,
hurry it up. Claire’s already bitchin’ at me about last night and we’re late.”
I groaned as I sat up and walked over to my dresser to pull out fresh clothes.
Yeah, I’m sure Claire had already
reamed his ass this morning and he probably had a roaring hang over. That dude
got out of control when he drank, I think it was because he was typically such
a laid- back guy and every once in a while, he just needed to let loose.
I grinned as thoughts of Paige
entered my mind again and I conjured up a picture of what she would be wearing
today. She always looked extra sexy in those cowboy boots. Maybe I could
convince her to wear those and nothing else later on, if everything went my
way. At least I had one thing to look forward to today.
*****************************
We showed up late for tailgating
with the Chapmans, mainly in part to the epic fight Chris and Claire had in the
driveway before they both finally got into the car, slamming their doors behind
them and continuing our drive in silence. Usually, Chris just took all of Claire’s
shit, but this time he wasn’t having it and I was proud of my buddy.
Nothing was bringing me down from
this high that was courtesy of the one and only Paige Brinton. Nothing, until I
walked up short, freezing in place when I saw douchebag’s arm around
my girl’s
waist.
I thought I had prepared myself for
this, but I was the only one supposed to touch her body. My fists twitched just
wanting to instantly nail the guy in his face. Paige shot me a nervous look
when I walked up, probably afraid that I was going to cut the guy’s arm off or
something, which I probably would have if something had been in sight.
I tried to ignore them as I walked
by and greeted Tim and Susanne each with a hug. Bryce, who I hadn’t seen in two
weeks even though we lived in the same house, was busy setting out all of the
food with his girlfriend, Marcy, that he basically lived with. Jared was deep
in conversation with the girl who I thought was one of Paige’s suitemates,
Saddie or Hattie, something like that. Kitty was nowhere in sight, so that left
me with the other blonde chick…
“Hi, I’m Kylie,” she purred out,
flipping a blonde curl over her shoulder. “Hey, Dylan.” I stuck out my hand and
she took it in hers, not letting go. “Oh I know who you are.” She leaned closer
and I could smell the expensive perfume reeking off her. Yeah, she was hot, kind
of looked like Kitty’s clone, but she definitely had a bitchier vibe to her. I
had Paige now though and really had no interest in any other girls.
“You want something to drink?” she
asked, never letting go of my hand and taking a sip of hers, before offering it
to me and I declined with a shake of my head. She licked her lips and stuck out
her bottom lip at me. Wow, this girl was pulling out all of the stops, but
little did she know none of them were going to work.
Her hand was finally ripped from
mine and I looked over to meet eyes with Paige, who had hip bumped Kylie out of
the way. “Hey Kylie, I think Kitty was looking for you outside,” she said in a
sickly sweet tone that the girl obviously didn’t detect. “Oh, ok,” she replied
in a bubbly voice. “See you in a little bit, Dylan,” she added with a flutter
of her lashes.
“What was that all about? Couldn’t
you have told her you were involved with someone and told her to get lost?”
Paige hissed out, resting a hand on her hip and glaring at me. “Aw, Sparky were
you jealous?” I leaned closer and placed a hand on her bare back, her heated
stare turning me on.
She was driving me crazy with the
black dress she had on that ran high in the front and had an open back. And of
course, the cowboy boots. I whispered into her ear exactly what I wanted to do
to her in those boots and she blushed, placing her hands against my chest to
lightly shove me away, but I could tell the idea turned her on too.
“Hey, what’s going on?” The
douchebag slid up next to Paige, lacing his fingers between hers, looking
between the two of us. “Not much man,” I shoved my twitching hands into my
pockets and backed up a few inches. “Just talking to Paige about some work
stuff.”
“You two work together?” He quirked
an eyebrow at Paige and she stared back at him blankly before responding. “Oh
yeah, I didn’t tell you that?”
“No, you somehow forgot to mention it,”
he replied in a tight voice and pulled Paige closer against his body like he
was staking his claim. Little did he know, I had already beaten him to it.
He stared back at me with narrowed
eyes and I couldn’t help but smirk, I could easily take him if need be. That
just seemed to make the tension even thicker and I could tell how uncomfortable
Paige was. Her nails were chewed to shit.
“Hey Dylan, could I speak to you
for a moment?” Susanne broke the stare down and threw an arm around my shoulder
to pull me towards the kitchen area. I caught Paige’s eye as I turned away and
douchebag seemed to be ranting at her in a low tone. Asshole.
“So honey, how have you been? I
feel like we haven’t been able to have any of our talks lately. Are you too
busy for me, mister?”
“I’m never too busy for you
Susanne. I’m sorry about that, I’ll make sure to call you more often. You know
how things get with school and work. And baseball is going to be added into the
mix soon enough, making it pure chaos.” She replied with a bob of her blonde
hair that was so similar to the rest of her kids, and pulled me into a warm hug
that reminded me of home.
Tim and Susanne had opened their
home to me when Chris and I first became friends, and it was where I spent all
of my breaks. It really was the first place where I really felt that I belonged.
“That’s alright Dylan, I think I
talk to you more often than I talk to my own kids. And I’m sure we’ll be able
to catch up plenty with Thanksgiving break coming up. Do you think you’ll be
bringing you’re girlfriend along?” She reached up to smooth my hair back and
finally gave up with a smile, there was no way to tame that mess.
“Um…” I stared blankly back at her
trying to think of what girlfriend she was referring to. Apparently, she had
been talking to Chris’s big mouth.
“You mean Sara? That definitely
wasn’t anything serious. Besides there’s this other girl I’m sort of interested
in so…” I trailed off glancing around the full room, but not catching sight of
the familiar sandy curls.
“Hmm...” she replied, her green
eyes lighting up. “Are you in love, Dylan Turner? I don’t think I’ve ever seen
you look so happy before. Who’s the lucky girl then? Are going to bring her
home with you? What’s she like?”
I knew 20 questions would be coming
soon enough from Susanne, but I wasn’t quite ready to spill the beans about
Paige. I would at least respect her wishes about dumping Ben first, before we
started something up officially.
“You’ll find out soon enough, but
for now it’s a secret.” Her lower lip pouted out, just like Kitty’s did
whenever she didn’t get her way and I couldn’t help but laugh. Usually I gave
in, but this time I wasn’t going to budge. Soon enough Paige Brinton would be
all mine and everyone would know about it.

The crowd erupted as the field
cleared for half time, cheering on our team that was up by 21 points. We were
definitely kicking Florida’s ass so far, even though I hadn’t been able to
catch much of the game. Between keeping my eyes on Paige and the douchebag, who
were situated right in front me, and warding off the roaming hands of Kylie,
who had somehow ended up right next to me, I could barely watch was happening
on the field.
“Want anything from the concessions
stand? Or maybe you want to come with?” Kylie purred into my ear, wrapping an
arm around my neck. I shrugged off her hand and answered with a shake of my
head. I hadn’t spoken a word to her since the game started and I was constantly
removing her hands, but she still wasn’t getting the hint. I was relieved when
she finally left and I looked down to see that Ben had finally left Paige alone
for the first time all night. Unfortunately, Kitty had one arm looped through Paige’s,
as she answered her phone with the other and I listened to the one sided
conversation.
“Hey Dad, what’s going on?...No,
we’re at the game…It’s normally not this quiet, halftime just started and the
band hasn’t started yet…Yeah, I know nothing like a baseball game…Oh,
really?...Are you sure?...I’m sure I’ll figure out something…Don’t feel bad…Okay,
love you. I’ll talk to you soon.
A small frown was playing over her
lips as she tucked her phone away and Kitty leaned in to ask what was wrong.
“Oh my dad just said he’s going to be out of town for Thanksgiving.” She pursed
her lips like she was deep in thought, staring out at the field that was
quickly filling up again with the band.
“It’s just so weird, holidays have
always been a big thing for us since my mom died. He hasn’t missed one yet and
he normally goes all out. He suggested I go to Jake’s, but his mom has always
hated me for some reason and I know it would be uncomfortable. Maybe I’ll just
head home anyway and cook a frozen dinner or something.”
Kitty planted a hand on her hip and
narrowed her green eyes at Paige. “Absolutely not. You will be coming home with
me, don’t even try to argue, I won’t have it. Mama will love to have you.”
And my night just got a whole lot
better, knowing that I would be spending the holidays with Paige. But once
again, it was turned upside down when a Florida player climbed the railing
right in front of Paige at the end of the game, removing his helmet and
grinning widely at her with a megawatt smile.
