“Fuck, baby, that’s it…Oh, yeah, that’s so good, Nate,” Joe roared as Nate tightened his muscles around him. Nate groaned as he felt Joe fill him with his release, anticipating the knot. As the knot extended, Joe collapsed down onto Nate’s back, his hips jerking as his release continued to spasm through him. Nate whimpered as he continued to frantically stroke his cock.
Nate’s heart lodged in his throat when Joe licked at the mating mark in his neck. He was almost ready to cum again. That damn knot lodging against his prostate did it to him every time.
Joe was driving him crazy with need. Joe’s hands seemed to be mapping out every inch of skin he could reach, paying special attention to his nipples.
Joe’s hands clamped down on Nate’s nipples, tugging on them even as Nate felt his tongue move across his mating mark. Joe’s hips quickly moved back and forth, stimulating Nate through the knot.
Nate cried out as he came, his inner muscles tightening around Joe’s sensitive cock, milking him for every last drop. Nate’s body quivered as Joe collapsed down onto him, bracing himself on his elbows.

“Fuck, baby,” Joe groaned when the knot finally receded, allowing him to roll onto his back. “You’re going to kill me. I don’t think I can move.”
Nate rolled over onto his side and cuddled against Joe, stretching his legs out and wiggling his toes. “Speak for yourself. I feel great.”
He propped his head up on his elbow as he looked down into Joe’s smiling face, his fingers drawing little circles in his chest. “Besides, you promised to take me out to dinner, and I’m hungry. I need to refuel.”
Joe raised his eyebrows, grinning up at Nate. “Baby, I’m not sure if I can handle you refueled. Any more energy out of you, and I’ll be in traction.”
Nate leaned over and kissed Joe quickly before getting to his feet and reaching for his pants. He pulled them up then reached for his shirt and pulled it on. As he tucked his shirt into his jeans, he looked back down at Joe. “Come on, honey, get up, and get dressed. I want to go out to dinner.”
“I thought you wanted to stay home and get naked.”
“We did that. Now I want food.”
“Spoilsport.” Joe chuckled as he got to his feet and reached for his own clothes. He quickly dressed in clean jeans and a nice blue button-down shirt. Sitting on the side of the bed, he reached for his cowboy boots and pulled them on.
Nate stood by the door and watched as Joe grabbed his wallet and put it in his back pocket. He walked to Nate and grabbed his hand.
“Come on, baby. Let’s get you fed before you waste away.”
“Hey, I’m a growing boy.”
“After having two orgasms? You might want to save that for later tonight.” Joe led Nate out of the bedroom, down the stairs, and out to the truck. He opened the door and waited for Nate to climb in. He shut the door and went around to the driver’s side to climb in.
“You ready, baby?” he asked as he shut the door and pulled on his seatbelt.

Nate nodded, scooting over to sit in the middle before pulling on his own seatbelt. He reached over, resting his hand on Joe’s thigh as Joe started the truck and drove down the driveway.
He was excited. It had been a long time since he had been out to a real dinner. Fast-food joints didn’t count. He hoped they weren’t going to some quicky burger place, but considering that Joe had told him to dress nicely, he didn’t think so.
Still, he was surprised when Joe pulled the truck up before a place called Darnel’s. It looked pretty fancy. Candlelit tables could be seen through the windows. Soft, romantic music could be heard through the open doors at the front of the restaurant.
“Joe, can we afford this place?” Nate asked as Joe walked around the truck to open his door.
“Yes, Nate, we can afford this place. But I don’t want you to worry about that. I just want you to have a good time and enjoy yourself,” he said as he shut the door behind Nate and started walking towards the restaurant, his hand in the small of Nate’s back.
“Hey, Bobby, we have a reservation for 6:00 p.m.,” Joe said as they walked up to the greeter.
“Hey Joe, Nate,” Bobby said as he nodded towards them. “Nice to see you. If you just want to follow me…”
Nate followed Bobby, Joe close on his heels. When they reached their table, a romantic one set outside on the patio next to a small waterfall pond, Joe held Nate’s chair out for him, scooting him in once he sat down.
Nate looked over at Joe in surprise as he sat down across from him. He started to ask him why he was being so romantic when Bobby stepped up to the table, two menus in his hands. “Is there anything I can get for you while you’re looking over the menu?”
“We’re not going to need menus tonight, Bobby. Darnel already has our order. Just tell him that we’re here,” Joe replied, smiling up at him.
“Very good,” Bobby said before walking away.

Nate looked over at Joe in confusion, his brows drawn together in a frown. “You already ordered for us?”
Joe held up a placating hand. “Don’t take it the wrong way, Nate.
I know what’s on the menu here, so I called ahead and asked Darnel to make us something a little extra special. Don’t worry, I think you’ll enjoy it.”
Nate looked at Joe, somewhat doubtful, but nodded his head anyway. “I reserve the right to order something else, though, if I don’t like it.”
“Agreed,” Joe said as he grinned, reaching across the table to grab Nate’s hands in his. “But I guarantee that you’ll love it. Darnel really knows what he’s doing in the kitchen.”
“Joe,” a dark-haired man said as he walked up to their table. “It’s good to see you.”
Nate folded his hands in his lap as Joe reached up and shook the hand the man was holding to him. “Robert, how are you?”
“I’m good, thank you.”
“You must be Nate,” Robert said, holding out his hand. “I’m Robert Newton. I own the local hardware store. How do you do?”
Nate looked at him in surprise, then dread, his eyes shooting towards Joe’s in desperation. At Joe’s slight nod, he reached for Robert’s hand, trying to brace himself for the emotions he would feel.
Just as his hand met Robert’s, Nate felt Joe’s naked foot scoot under his pant leg and settle against his bare skin.
He heaved a small sigh of relief when Robert’s emotions came through, filtered by the touch of Joe’s foot on his leg. He felt a little fear, some hesitation, and a lot of curiosity coming from Robert.
Robert glanced back at Joe when Nate didn’t answer him, instead just put his hands back in his lap.
“Nate doesn’t talk much, Robert. He’s a little shy around people he doesn’t know. Once he gets to know you, though, you won’t be able to shut him up.” Joe chuckled, getting a glare from Nate.

“Oh, well, I hope I didn’t make you uncomfortable, Nate. I just wanted to drop by and welcome you to the pack.”
“Thank you,” Nate replied quietly, wishing he would just go away so Joe and him could be alone again. It wasn’t that he didn’t want to meet the other members of the pack, but tonight was supposed to be for him and Joe.
He kicked Joe under the table as Robert walked away.
“Why did you do that?” Joe cried out, rubbing his shin.
“Why did you tell him I was shy?”
“You are. It’s not just that you don’t like to touch people, Nate.
You’re shy around strangers.”
“I just don’t…I don’t like being around people I don’t know. It makes me uncomfortable,” Nate reasoned.
“As long as I don’t make you uncomfortable.”
“Well…” Nate jeered.
“Get your mind out of the gutter, Nathan,” Joe growled, his face turning slightly red.
“Honey, my mind is not in the gutter. It’s in your pants.”
Nate watched Joe’s eyes widen slightly just about the same time he heard a soft snicker behind him. He turned his head to see Daniel and Maryann standing behind him. Maryann was doing everything she could not to laugh, a battle she lost the moment Nate’s eyes met hers.
Oh damn!
“Don’t mind us, Nate. You seem to be having a fascinating conversation about Joe’s fashion. Please, continue,” Daniel said. Nate could see him biting his lip.
Nate groaned, dropping his head into his hands as Joe burst out laughing, drawing the looks of several patrons. Nate lifted his head, sending Joe another glare before smiling up at his parents.
“Hello, Daniel, Maryann, what brings you out tonight?”
“Maryann and I just finished dinner and were leaving when we spotted you sitting here,” Daniel replied.
“Joe’s taking me out for dinner. I’ve never been here, so—”

“Actually,” Joe interrupted, “it’s our two month anniversary today, so we are out celebrating.”
Nate’s eyes swung over to Joe’s in surprise. He didn’t think Joe had remembered. He hadn’t said anything. Besides, he was amazed that Joe would even want to celebrate just two months together. Most men had a hard time remembering the yearly anniversary.
It did, however, give him a warm, fuzzy feeling. Joe was not the stereotypical male. He loved to cuddle for cuddling’s sake. He liked to cuddle after sex, he loved kisses at any time during the day, and he went out of his way to tell Nate how much he was loved, even calling home from work just to say “I love you.”
Now he was taking Nate out to a romantic dinner to celebrate their three-week anniversary. How adorable was that? Nate just wished he had thought to buy Joe something to give him, something he would remember always.
Daniel and Maryann stayed a few more minutes before leaving when Nate and Joe’s meal arrived. As Maryann walked away, she reminded Nate that he needed to call her the next day to discuss the mating ceremony.
Nate took one bite of the Chicken Cordon Bleu and closed his eyes in ecstasy. Darnel was a cooking master. It was delicious, just melting in his mouth. The garlic potatoes weren’t half bad either.
“See? I told you.” Joe smirked as he took his own bite.
Nate was too busy eating to even give his sarcastic “I told you so”
the reply it deserved. If the meal was anything to go by, he couldn’t wait to find out what Joe had planned for dessert. It was sure to be fantastic.
When his plate was finally clean and the waiter had come to take the plates away, Nate leaned back in his chair and patted his stomach.
“Trying to get me fat?”
“No, Darnel’s is only for special occasions or it wouldn’t be special. Besides, I’d help you work it off.”

Nate raised an eyebrow. “Oh? And just what did you have in mind, Mr. Nash?”
“Well, I kind of wanted to talk to you about that,” Joe began, looking a little sheepish as he reached across the table to grab Nate’s hands in his.
Nate looked slightly confused. “What? You have an exercise plan in mind for me?”
“No, the Mr. Nash thing.”
“You don’t want me calling you Mr. Nash?”
“I’d rather call you Mr. Nash,” Joe said, gazing across the table at Nate. He quickly dug into his pocket. Nate watched with curiosity as he pulled out a small black box and held it out to him.
Nate’s eyes darted up to Joe’s before coming back to the box Joe was holding out to him. He hands trembled. He reached for the box and flipped the lid open. He gasped quietly as he saw the two silver and gold rings inside.
“Joe…” he whispered.
“I know we’re going to have the mating ceremony for the pack, but I want more than that. I want—”
“Joe—” Nate began.
“Just hear me out, Nate. I know this is a big step, especially since we have only been together for a couple of months, but I—”
“Joe—” Nate tried again.
“I know in the eyes of human law we can’t be legally married, but if you were to take my name and then we could have our own wedding ceremony—”
“Joseph, you need to shut the hell up and let me talk,” Nate said, turning slightly red when he realized he had spoken a little louder than he meant to. Several other customers were looking over at them again.
Nate smiled, shrugging his shoulders before turning back to Joe’s worried face. He reached into the box and pulled out the two rings.

and slid it onto Joe’s finger before handing the other one to Joe, holding out his own hand.
He could see Joe’s hands trembling as he slid the ring onto Nate’s finger. He had tears in his eyes when he looked back up at Nate and simply whispered to him, “Thank you.”
Nate squeezed Joe’s hand in his before holding his ring hand up, turning it in the light. “I look good in a wedding ring.” He laughed.
“Yes, you do.” Joe beamed, squeezing Nate’s hand back.
“So, you really want me to take your name?” Nate asked as he looked back over at Joe.
“Yes, I do. I think that Nathan Nash has a nice sound to it, don’t you?”
“Well, I think that Joseph and Nathan Nash has a better ring to it,”
Nate replied.
“I stand corrected,” Joe chuckled. “Joseph and Nathan Nash it is then.”
“So, how do we do this? I can’t just change my name, can I?
Doesn’t it take some sort of legal paperwork or something?”
“Yes, but it so happens that I have an in with the town mayor. He can speed the process along and even preside over our wedding ceremony.”
“Do you think Daniel will do that?” Nate asked, not quite as sure of things as Joe seemed to be.
“Oh yeah, in a heartbeat. I have it on very good authority that if I let you slip through my fingers, my mother is going to disown me and adopt you.” Joe chuckled.
Nate grimaced. “Oh, well, I wouldn’t want that to happen. I guess I’m going to have to let you keep me then. It would be horrible to lose your mother, although, I wouldn’t mind having her for myself. She’s a wonderful woman.”
“Just remember you said that when she tries to help you plan the wedding. I’m her oldest son, and she’s been waiting a long time for
