Good Karma

Initially things were hectic as people were scared, but soon nations pulled together and managed to run things well. Some rather poorer undeveloped countries however, requested Gudama’s aid to which he arrived primarily to assist them in developing sustainable holistic technologies to provide necessities and run things smoothly. This soon became the trend as many struggling, early developing, and even advanced countries utilized Gudama’s help. With his background in industrial and product design, Gudama was able to work with multiple nations in accelerating improvement in their industries, production, economy, and management of resources. Homelessness along with hunger was dropping to record lows.

Every country was grateful for his help. It was a lot of work, but Gudama volunteered to venture to these areas to redesign their infrastructures in order to better assist them and to run things more efficiently. Finally, after months of individually working with the world, Gudama finished a lot of his dreams for his home planet.

“Thank you Gudama, this is incredible. Thanks to your genius, we will save people,” said a lead engineer at a dome like architecture in Africa built to utilize their newly developed robots programmed to provide basic necessities, and recyclable resources practically for free. “It’s a start,” replied Gudama wiping his hands.

Over the months, the world economy greatly improved through the new laws. Tax agencies and terrorist organizations were eliminated personally by Gudama, interference of the federal government on business were removed, as well as the strengthening of structure for countries. Production and efficiency sky rocketed to where the standard of living improved despite criticism of Gudama’s methods. People were amazed as they were starting to see signs of their money system being obsolete. Following this observable transition, another speech was scheduled by Gudama himself.

“Greetings ladies and gentlemen, I wanted to introduce to you my new advancement in Virtual Reality systems,” he said and pulled off the fabric covering to reveal an oval shaped personal computer.

“I too am a citizen of this planet just like you, accept with a lot more responsibility,” he said smiling as the audience laughed, “therefore I’m doing my part in making myself available to help you whether it being schooling, sports, technical training, or personal issues, this technology allows me to give all of you more personal assistance,” Gudama said holding his newly created device. He went on explaining the other various functions it possessed, such as a full body medical scan, detailing the state of the physical, mental, and energetic bodies embedded with frequencies to balance the chakras and home remedy reference for all ailments. Gudama’s invention was affordable, and many made use of the free medical treatment it provided as well as the free one on one instruction in countless subjects ranging from tennis lessons to mathematics, and even counseling with a haptic holographic projection of Gudama in its virtual computer generated world programmed by theirs truly.

Months flew by as the world had become exactly what Gudama had promised, a globe of peace. Skeptics criticized while some fully believed and devoted to his cause. At the end of the season no one could dispute the facts as the earth had become unrecognizable to its predecessors. During this time, Gudama spent his days feeding the sick, handicapped, and homeless wearing a cloak making him uneasily recognizable. He also wondered in disguise as a doctor to areas to assist those addicted to drugs and other harmful substances get their lives back. Various wellness centers were opened by him along with other professionals where they provided voluntary treatment at the health clinic as well as wellness services at affordable costs.

To avoid unwanted attention and recognition, Gudama took various disguises making him inconspicuous while doing his humanitarian deeds. He wanted to make people less dependent on him and by showing people that greatness can be achieved by anybody he believed he was helping them on another level not feasible while being Gudama, God of the Earth as some were calling him. He worked with a lot of prostitutes to clean up their act and helped them do better for themselves. On some occasions he even called and paid for their travel and time, inviting them to a temple on a small island he developed that was kept by monks built to offer help to the needy as well as spiritual remedies to life problems for the world. There, disguised as a yogi, he would listen to their stories and offered free fire rituals and prayers to get them on the path to healing. Miraculously, it worked for many and one was so grateful that she returned to thank them. Entering when Gudama was changing between disguises, her heart skipped a beat and she fell to her knees in tears, thanking him for his service. Many stories were heard like this where people of various backgrounds either went on a pilgrimage or arrived there on some arrangement and would magically have all of their problems solved be it medical, physical, or matters to do with love. His island later on gained a reputation as being a holy land.

Eventually, Gudama’s identity was revealed as too many people rejoiced about his goodness changing their lives. Gudama discussed it over a live broadcast in front of an audience at a university that invited him to elaborate. He explained his use of ancient spiritual science and teachings to help others achieve healing. One Christian college student however, spoke out and asked about religion. Gudama simply stated all such doctrines originally contained teachings for moral and ethical living in addition to worship techniques for achieving a higher state of being, but was misused for controlling people. After his speech, the same student caught up with Gudama walking down the campus center hall. Seeing he had a lot of questions, Gudama offered to sit at one of the couches to discuss more. They continued their conversation about God, philosophy, and moral living.

The Christian spoke of Jesus being the only true way and everything else as a false sin. Gudama reasoned that God takes on many forms and names. Still, the well-meaning Christian persisted.

“If I see a bus coming at you at full speed, I’m not going to call it by any other name. I’m going to shout, look out there’s a bus coming your way!” said the Christian young man.

“Yes, but if the person doesn’t understand English, then your call will mean nothing. A bus goes by many names, and there are many kinds of buses. There are school buses, large shiny ones, small ones, and others with custom designs. So buses come in different shapes, sizes, and color. Likewise with God, Jesus, Buddha, Krishna, Shiva, Vishnu, Odin, Horus, Cosmic Consciousness, Universal Mind, The Tao or The Way, The Great Spirit, Higgs Boson, Nothingness, whatever, they are all referring to the same source generally speaking.”

Still, Gudama insisted that he follow the path that resonates and if it is through Jesus, he should stick with that as is the case with everyone else.

The boy thought about it.

“What about evolution?”

“Imagine a whole universe in your mind, all of the stars, planets, and galaxies in one giant cosmos. Some may find this difficult, but those adept in meditation would find it easier. Imagine how vivid the visualization of God’s is. Everything that exists, all the dimensions and universes all spawn from the universal mind (God), and this consciousness can zoom in on any particular area or multiple subjects simultaneously instantly. Sending a meteorite with the intent of starting life on earth is child’s play for such a being,” continued Gudama making big wide gestures with his hands to help illustrate.

“Waiting for hundreds of millions of years is nothing as time is not bound to the linear perspective we have. Try to see time as more of a sphere where past, present, and future can all be observed anytime individually or at once. Evolution is the same. With a mere thought, the magnanimous electromagnetic spiritual energy physically affects subatomic particles generating expansion, thus ultimately leading to life as we know it today. First was the formless etheric wave of thought energy, then the small molecules which again is shapeless, to the beginnings of aquatic life which you’ll notice were very loose and fluid in their structure and survived only in water as water itself is not limited by shape, so you see this is an example of a transition from formless to adopting form to a minor degree as their body physically represents fluidity.”

“Years later, amphibians emerged from the waters yearning to explore the wonders of the world. So many theories exist of this cause, but it can be said that the desire of the sea creature to follow his soul and not succumb to what society or fate demanded was so strong that it dared to go outside of the boundaries to see the sun, the sky, and all of that heavenly glory. Even today if a man is brave enough to follow his individual destiny and say no to what his surroundings expect of him, he becomes an anomaly just like the sea creature was, and will evolve whether it being physically, mentally, or metaphysically, that man will no longer remain a mere mortal. If he leaves the invisible psychological barriers of society, he becomes free. If he leaves the earth in space and mates with another outsider, the evolution in the fetus has already begun. So you see, life is very simple, we are here to explore. Evolution is the genius of God which gives us all the power to adapt, to grow, to become better than what we presently are, in order to better experience life and learn more of this infinity.”

“Lies, all lies!” shouted a balding older man wearing a robe with a protruding belly. Gudama got up and was to his surprise, verbally attacked by the pope’s insults, claiming that Gudama was just a man who possessed technology to take over earth, and that military had created advanced aircraft making people delusional of extraterrestrial life. A crowd gathered hearing the wild noise. The pope’s breath reeked of liquor and was getting very aggressive, shouting loudly with his face turning beet red, proclaiming Gudama was a charlatan acting as a false god with a fake story, aliens don’t exist, and that the old government was better.

Raising his hands, the self-proclaimed holy man called for surrendering to his religion to avoid Hell and demanded everyone to boycott Gudama as he was a not embracing the way of his version of god. Flexing his forehead, Gudama expressed confusion in the pope’s outrageous claims regarding him.

“The fact is you were never alone and I don’t care about your primitive beliefs. If you want to believe

the world is flat, you’re an imbecile, if you don’t want to accept that the earth revolves around the sun, you are idiotic, if don’t realize now that the government never cared about your wellbeing, you are severely misguided, and if you don’t accept that you are not the only form of intelligent life, then you are very, very stupid,” Gudama replied irritated.

Gudama’s words were unacceptable for the extremist pope. He pulled out a hand gun and barged over face to face with Gudama, and proceeded to condemn him, cursing all who do not adopt the holy book’s method of living. He shouted for a global call to address climate change, to limit hateful free speech, and to redistribute wealth in order to enter the kingdom of god. The old man called Gudama a demon while poking at his chest with the gun, “All who worship other deities are sinners, all who do not surrender to Jesus Christ are sinners!” he continued drunk, slurring some words.

The pope’s speech was followed by an abrupt uppercut right under his chin sending him flying across the walkway bridge.

“I thought ended these religious nuts after I destroyed the Islamic fascists,” Gudama said to himself. He saw everyone watching him.

“As I’ve said before, no religion gets favoritism and has no power whatsoever. Now are there any more “holy” fanatics out there who’d like to lecture me on their nonsense?” Gudama said to the crowd.

Silence filled the air.

“Excellent, have a pleasant day.”

New Evil

Unbeknownst to Gudama, a secret rendezvous in a remote location was being held. Amongst the attendees were remnants from the old world - royal family members, politicians, military leaders, one of them being General Larson surviving on a machine body. Venom and spite wiped their faces as vengeance was the only common goal on their minds. One of the royal family members stepped up to speak.

“Brethren, we stand here today to remorse in the heinous actions of this vigilante. Power has been stripped away by this fiend, all of our prestige, control, and influence gone, because of that one man, the one called Gudama.”

Boos and snickers were heard in the audience.

“We shall now execute drastic measures to eliminate this problem. Has Draco been prepared?” the speaker asked Larson.

“Yes sir.”

“Good, once Draco awakens, he will get rid of this, this righteous man, and then we shall take back power and rule over the world which we so rightfully deserve as it is our birthright!”

The audience cheered.

“Gudama may have won the battle, but the war is far from over.”

Meditating on an isolated beach on his island, Gudama was contacted via telepathically.

“Andy?”

“Yes Gudama,” Andy said high above the earth.

“I see you have been hard at work for your planet.”

“I’ve never worked this hard in my life, but it’s paid off. War has ended, perhaps now earth is ready for global contact?”

“Has it really? Look again my friend. There still exists terror on your planet.”

“What? Where? I’ve destroyed all terrorists and disarmed countries with nuclear warheads.”

“Evil doesn’t need a weapon, only for good to remain idle. Deep within your earth lies an unawaken darkness. You must remove this threat before it consumes your planet.”

Andy sent Gudama telepathic visions of the location of the underground bases that he missed.

A lightbulb suddenly went off in Gudama’s head.

“Of course, underground! I got so caught up with everything I totally forgot about the underground bases!”

“Yes. You must not delay as it seems the lizards have a draconian on earth,” warned Andy.

“What, a draconian? I thought were all at their home planet.”

“It seems that have placed one in case of emergency. I sense the bureaucrats are planning to reclaim power. You must make haste and stop them before they awaken it, else earth is finished.”

“Right, thanks for letting me know. I wish only you could go with me,” said Gudama.

“I would very much like that, but as I’ve said before, I already have far stretched my limits in helping you.”

“I understand,” Gudama acknowledged nodding.

“Perhaps this is perfect to test your new Earth’s Galactic Special Forces,” said Andy.

“Yes, I believe this situation calls for their service.”

“One more thing, don’t lock anybody in space in your ship. I can’t intervene again telling them the controls.”

“Huh? Oh, so that was you who gave Layla the codes. I was wondering how she did it. Ha, ha, ok, deal!”

“Good luck Gudama.”

Urgently, Gudama gathered his special highly trained fleet representing the Galactic Earth Federation, and scheduled an emergency speech to alert people. He broadcasted it high up in his new space base he had created through the combined efforts of people through his design, which worked with America and many other nations for the mutual benefit of earth.

Gudama spoke while his team stood in the background with their hands folded behind. They were composed of four former veterans who displayed superb skill in their respective specialization of combat, one female technological and combat genius, and a monk highly trained in martial arts. He briefly explained the situation while intelligence mapped out the coordinates of the bases and assured everyone that he will eradicate it shortly with his team. After his speech, Gudama gave a five minute warning to his team to get ready.

Calling Gudama, an assistant notified him of a phone call.

“For me, who is it?” he asked.

“She says she’s an old friend,” replied the assistant. Picking up the phone, Gudama excused himself to his private room.

“Hey you,” said a familiar voice!

“Layla, how did you…never mind. How is everything?”

Gudama spoke with Layla briefly discussing new updates regarding their lives, and quickly got to the prime reason for the call. Layla was concerned of him overworking, and invited him to dinner with her, wanting to introduce him to her mother.

“Let me just take care of this, then I’ll be glad to and meet your parents.”

“Great, my mom loves you, it’ll be fun.”

“What about your dad,” asked Gudama in wonder?

“Oh, he’s no longer with us.”

“What do you mean, what happened?”

After a short silence, Layla broke down explaining her father died due to his alcoholism. Emigrating from Sicily, her father sought out to become an artist as his passion was music, dancing, and the theatrical arts. Later on, he met her mother after one of his performances and they were married within a month. It was love at first sight as her mom would say.

Painting provided him little income while he continued pursuing his dream. Soon enough,

Layla’s brother was born and her family moved to New York to find more work and exposure. Fortunately, her father managed to get shows at museums and from there his career rose steadily. He even landed various acting roles and bragged to her mother of living the American dream. Layla was born later on, and received all the love and affection from two happily married parents until February 18
th
, the day her father answered that phone call.

Arriving home that day, Layla’s father was told by the police department that his son had been killed in a blast. An Islamic terrorist attacked, and his son risked his life to protect bystanders, which resulted in him losing it. That day Layla’s mother found her father sitting on the couch emotionless when she came home. He didn’t eat, speak, nor attend his shows, resulting in the destruction of his creative career. Layla’s mom found out herself what had happened through the police due to her father’s behavior. Layla just turned twenty then.

Her father worked three jobs while she attended school and drank excessively. He didn’t want her to have debt or worries and pushed himself to the extreme, barely spending time with the family. For her mom, it felt like living with a ghost man who had lost emotion, feeling, and even life. Eventually, it took its toll and he paid the price with a stroke just when Layla had landed a top paying job. He never made it to the celebration party. It was very hard for both Layla and her mom as both knew the reason to his own demise. Sometimes Layla’s mother tried to talk to him about her brother’s death, but her father would yell in a blinding rage, not wanting to utter any word of it. It bothered him so much, that for the first time in their marriage, he struck her, which devastated her mother so much that she sent Layla right after graduation away to the city, paying for her living expenses to save her from the negativity. Layla thankfully at the time, didn’t see much of her father’s bad side as she was at school, with her friends, and quickly out as her mother wanted her gone. Naturally being the happy cheerful person that she is, it was difficult to come to know what went on between her parents, especially since she had such fond happy memories growing up. She became angry at her mom for hiding how bad their situation was, but understood later that she just didn’t want her to suffer because of them. Mark, her uncle, started Lolland Press with Layla and did his best to help her through tough times.

Sobbing, Layla confessed to Gudama that it has bothered her ever since and thanked him for listening to her venting, feeling good to get it out of her system. Gudama thanked her for sharing and told her to get plenty of rest, and promised he would have dinner with both of them after completing his mission. She cheered up and wished him good luck.

While everyone was waiting for Gudama, Sarah, a member of his fleet, grew concerned checked up on him. She was surprised to find him inside his room on his knees with folded hands praying.

“Gudama?” she said.

Gudama’s eyes opened as his head slightly rose. He got up and turned to her slowly, “Are you ready?”

She nodded, and asked if he was ok.

“It’s time,” he said ready for battle.
