His long clever fingers retrieved the ring from the jam and, maintaining eye contact, he slowly licked it off. “Well? Will you marry me?"

She thought of all the sarcastic responses she could muster, then looked into her heart. She wanted him, he made her laugh, he was willing and able to protect her from obvious hurts and he had a fantastic house. Why not? “Yes. I will. I don't quite know why yet, but I will.” She smiled and he pushed the slightly sticky ring onto her left hand. They locked gazes for a moment, then began to giggle as they reached for each other.

His robe fell away under her eager hands and they were soon wrestling for the top position on the bed. She won by virtue of kneeling astride his chest and holding onto the headboard for dear life. His arms were pinned behind her knees and she was laughing with triumph until his tongue lapped out at the jam trail on her upper thigh. She began to vibrate with sensual tension. “That is cheating."

"Did I ever tell you that I love strawberries?” He took advantage of her suddenly limp muscles and flipped her to her back.

With his tongue teasing at the trail of jam, she was helpless. Something about his touch rendered her boneless. If he had held her or used any kind of restraint, she would have fought him, even for the sake of fun. But he simply touched her gently, softly, teasing her and she was holding her breath for what would come next.

As he teased her, she wove her fingers through his hair for a change and held him to her. Not steering or controlling him, but letting him know of her enjoyment through the restless motions of her fingers. Her orgasm came upon her without warning, arching her back and releasing a torrent of moisture from her channel and a howl from her throat.

This time there was no slow claiming of her body, but a hard thrust that sheathed him halfway and a second that drove him to the hilt. Now she was fighting as his thrusts were keeping her body throbbing and twisting in her orgasm. The sensory overload continued, driving her higher and higher until the next plateau was reached and she blacked out.

She came to with tears on her face and a concerned elf still within her. “How long was I out?"

"Only a moment.” He leaned in for a kiss.

She obliged him, the soft exchange of contact a confirmation of the engagement that they had just celebrated. “I think you may have to slow it down next time, Henry. I am a little out of practice.” She wrapped both her arms and legs around him and gave him a hug to let him know that she was unharmed.

"Well, I am willing to devote plenty of time to the project if you are willing."

"I am willing, but I think I have to go see Artemis today."

He sighed heavily and rested his forehead on her shoulder. “You are correct. All right. Off for a shower, then I will walk you to her offices."

"Just a shower?"

"Just a shower."

"So, he proposed? Excellent.” Artemis was in a redhead persona today. Right down to the freckles.

"I certainly thought so at the time.” Westa smiled at the other woman and followed her into the offices she had seen yesterday.

"There is someone here I would like you to meet. Tory? This is Westa, but I believe most people call her Lucky."

Artemis was introducing her to a petite woman with blonde hair and the largest blue eyes that Westa had ever seen. The large eyes were what reminded her of a small teenager ten years ago at Camp Silverwood. “VeeVee? Is that you?"

"Weener!” The two ladies collided in a hug that had the magic of the area shivering with delight.

"So you do remember. Tory is our matchmaking specialist. She is the one who chose Henry for you."

"Ah, I have you to blame for that one?” She was smiling.

Tory homed in on the new ring on her left hand. She snickered. “Apparently I was on the money with that one. Has Artemis told you why we need you here?” Tory took her by the arm and led her to one of the offices.

"More or less. Mostly less.” The office they were approaching had Westa Inlough on the door. “You are jumping the gun a bit there aren't you?"

"Only by a few months. It saves on painting expenses."

"Ok, we are here to help the men of the magical races to find human women who will accept them, and more importantly, who won't turn them in to the government of whatever country they are in."

"Sounds like more your alley, where do I fit in?"

"I can find the women, but I can't locate them. We need more luck than brains when it comes to finding them."

"So that is where I fit in.” She looked around her office and fiddled with some of the objects on the desk. “When do we start?"

Tory took up the one of the chairs in front of the desk, “Now if you like, Lucky.” She glanced at the name on the open door and started to giggle.

Westa sighed heavily and asked with a perfectly straight face, “What is it?"

"Do you realize that after you get married you will be Lucky Inlough?” The giggling turned to cackling and Tory hugged herself with enjoyment.

Westa looked out the window and made out the roof of Henry's house. “I think I already am."
