The steady drone of the engine kept getting louder as the gentle monster got closer. Finally, it touched down. Close up, it looked astonishingly bigger. Several ground crew members, who’d been sent to meet it, sprung into action, one group grabbing the mooring lines on the blimp’s nose, and the other holding down the gondola by handrails. As they held the monstrosity steady, a boarding ladder was hung on the side of the passenger gondola, just below the cabin door. The fun was about to begin.

I grasped Gloria’s hand. “Come on angel, it’s time to board.”

“Are you out of your mind?”

“Get over it, angel,” I said with a laugh as I lifted her into my arms and carried her to the humongous aircraft. I told her the tour operator had promised a smooth, quiet, slow ride that offered an unmatched view of the Los Angeles landscape. A memorable experience that couldn’t be surpassed.

I’d chortled silently when he’d told me that. I was going to give Gloria a ride okay. An unforgettable experience. Except it wasn’t going to be the smooth or quiet one the tour operator promised. There was going to be some bumps. And some shrieks. But for sure, an unmatched, spectacular view.

Five minutes later, we were seated side by side in the last row of the dimly lit, six-person cabin. The pilot was seated in the first row before a hi-tech display of flight controls. Because of the deafening drone of the engine, Gloria and I had been given headsets so we could communicate.

Gloria looked frightened. “There aren’t any seatbelts.”

I smirked at her. “Don’t worry. You can hold on to me shortly.”

“Where exactly are we going again?” she asked nervously as the ground crew launched the helium-propelled aircraft. With a bounce, it glided into the air.

“Oh my God,” screamed Gloria as it lifted off and continued its ascent. Gloria was fucking turning me on. My cock was ascending too.

Her hands clenched. “What if it crashes into a building and explodes?”

“Don’t worry, angel. It won’t. Relax, you’re going to love it.” Oh was she. Ten minutes later, we were at our maximum altitude of fifteen hundred feet and cruising at about thirty miles an hour. Gloria calmed down.

“Wow! The view is spectacular,” she said in awe.

Indeed it was. Below us was the lit up Santa Monica Pier, and in the distance, we could see the moonlit Malibu mountains.

“Where exactly are we going again?”

It was time to tell her the truth. “The blimp is taking us on a cruise around LA. But I’m taking you on a trip to heaven, my angel.”

She turned to face me. “
Mon amour
, I’ve been there already.”

Gloria was still convinced she’d been to heaven. And the truth, I was beginning to believe her because the things she told me about my father could only be known by meeting him. For example, that his pinky was as long as his fourth finger.

“Come here, you.” I signaled with my index finger.

As she rose, I zipped down my fly and out sprung my enormous cock. It was fully erect.

“I want you to ride
my
blimp.” Actually, it was more like a torpedo, but I liked the play on words.

Her smoldering eyes gazed down at it. “So, tell me again, where are you taking me?”

I changed my destination.

“Angel, to the moon and back.”

A sexy smile curled on her scarlet lips. “Now, that’s one place I’ve never been.”

Wasting no time, I shoved up her little black dress, and with my teeth ripped off her garters. I slid her sheer black stockings, the garter, and the matching thong down her long legs. She stepped out of them. On my next heated breath, she was straddling me, my giant cock impaled inside her.

“Ride me, baby. Ride me hard.”

Gripping my shoulders as I held on to her haunches, she began to buck me. Bounce up and down my rock-hard cock, taking me each time to the hilt. I hissed. Fuck she felt good! Even after having the babies, she was so tight. So right for me. Through the headset, I could hear her harsh breathing. It was matched by an expression of tortured ecstasy on her face. Her dangling diamond heart earrings flittered as if they were having off the charts sex of their own.

“Fuck, angel. Is it as good for you as it is for me?”

“Yes,” she said breathlessly, picking up her pace. Even chewing down on her lips, she couldn’t suppress the moans in her throat. Her big tits rubbed against me. And I knew I was hitting her G-spot again and again. Her hot walls were pulsing around my fiery cock, the both of us getting closer to our final destination. We were orbiting in space on the verge of out of this world orgasms. I wanted us to come together. Be one with each other. Freeing one hand, I began fingering her clit. Jesus. She was so fucking wet. So fucking hot. My fingertips were burning.

Her moans morphed into whimpers. And as I circled harder and met her wild bucks more forcefully, her whimpers became shrieks. I was sweating like a fucking pig.

“Tell me when you’re going to come,” I rasped.

I already felt her coming apart.

“Now, baby. Now!”

One more powerful thrust, and I roared out her name. And at that same moment, that unforgettable moment, she shuddered all around my juddering cock as it blasted jets of hot cum deep inside her. She continued to ride me until I was spent and then collapsed upon me. Her head rested on my pounding heart.

I kissed her damp scalp and then breathed against her slender neck.

“Oh, my angel, I so fucking love you,” I whispered.

“The same, baby, the same,” she whispered back.

And then I fisted a clump of her lustrous hair and yanked her head back. With half-mast eyes, I gazed at her impassioned face. Her eyes still glistening with lust, her lips parted, waiting for mine. Gripping the glittering heart-shaped diamond pendant with my other hand, I crashed my mouth against hers. It began as a deep, wet open mouth kiss that grew to epic proportions as I sucked and gnawed on her sensuous lips. As a new set of moans gathered in the base of her throat, my tongue darted inside. Our song,
“Toi et
Moi,”
began to play through the headsets, and our tongues entwined in a slow, passionate dance, swirling and twirling to the meaningful lyrics.
You and me. Two hearts that melt and flow into infinity.

I don’t know how long the kiss lasted. When we finally broke away, we were cruising over the iconic Hollywood sign and could see the lit up Griffith Park Observatory as well as all of sparkling downtown. As beautiful as the view was, nothing was a beautiful as the view of my beloved.

“Happy anniversary, angel,” I said softly.

She smiled. “Happy anniversary,
mon amour.”

As the blimp turned around and made its way back, I just held her in my arms and let her rest her head against my chest. I pressed my lips on her silky hair. Bliss. Pure bliss. Euripides once said: “He is not a lover who does not love forever.” I held her tighter. Oh, my angel. Our first anniversary but far from our last. I looked forward to growing old and looking at her face every night when I went to sleep and every morning when I awoke. And to watching our children grow up. In my heart, I knew we were going to be one of those old couples you see still holding hands and laughing after fifty years of marriage. And kissing like young lovers. I was going to be Gloria’s forever.

A LETTER FROM NELLE AND ACKNOWLEDGMENTS

Dearest Readers~

I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your patience, love, and support. I had intended to bring you
Gloria’s Forever
last February, but I just couldn’t wrap my head around the epilogue. And then my
THAT MAN
series totally consumed me. Seventy-six thousand words into yet another series, I decided it was time to finish
Gloria’s Forever
before it became
Gloria’s Never
. Out of the blue, the epilogue finally came to me, and I’m so thrilled how it turned out. The truth, I think the delay in getting you this book was meant to be. Had I released it last year, it truly wouldn’t have been as good. I hope you enjoyed reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it and that the story of Gloria and Jaime will stay in your heart forever.

I want to thank someone special who’s been with me since the beginning of their story. The truly wonderful Jen Oreto, who blogs for the Book Avenue Review. As some of you may know,
Gloria’s Secret
got off to very rocky start when it was first released. It was so bad I almost threw in the towel and stopped writing. But Jen believed in me—and
Gloria
—and gave me the strength to persevere. Without her love and support, I wouldn’t have continued. Moreover, when I told her about the idea for this novella, she gave me the wonderful title:
Gloria’s Forever
. I seriously don’t remember what I’d intended to call it, but the word “Forever” brought so much to this story on so many levels. And it made me think hard about what forever means. After reading it, I hope you’ll think about what forever means to you.

I also want to thank blogger and writer, Cindy Meyer. She, too, stood by me and gave me much needed encouragement to continue. I kind of think of my
Gloria
as an abused child who survived—much like the character she is. Thanks to these amazing women and all you amazing fans, I survived too. I am humbled and beholden to all of you.

I am blessed with the most amazing beta readers a writer could ever have. The betas for this book include: Amber Escalera, Jennifer Moshe, Anne Berglund-Young, Kim Pinard Newsome, Karen Moshe Silverstein, Jeanette Sinfield, Kellie Fox, and Kashunna Fly, who served as the muse for Nurse Kashunna. You should also know a tragedy in the life of my beloved Kellie inspired the dedication. As a mother who had difficulty conceiving, I feel for all of you who have suffered the pain of infertility and/or the horrific loss of a child. My heart goes out to you.

Writing and publishing a book, regardless of the length, takes a village. In addition to my betas who always provide insightful comments and ways to better my stories, I am also beholden to my cover artist, Glendon Haddix of Streetlight Graphics, my formatter, Paul Salvette of BB ebooks, my proofreader, Karen Lawson, and my blog tour operator, Mary Tatar of Love Between the Sheets. And yet another shout-out to Kellie Fox, who does all those beautiful, sexy graphics you see on Facebook.

Last but not least, a big shout-out to my family. Thank you for putting up with me and allowing me the opportunity to write what seems like 24/7. One of these days, I’m going to get a life again.

However, that won’t be soon. Up next is my new series,
Unforgettable
, coming out in May and available for pre-order soon. It features a brand new cocky alpha hero, Hollywood heartthrob, Brandon Taylor, who will make you laugh, cry, and swoon. For those who have read my
THAT MAN
series, you’ll be happy to know that all the characters from those books are featured in
Unforgettable.
Even Grandma! A sneak preview follows the first chapter of
THAT MAN 1,
available
FREE
! at all retailers.

So, it’s back to work for me. Thank you again, my Belles, for your love and support. Always know, you are the reason I write.

THAT MAN 1
: THE FIRST CHAPTER

By Nelle L’Amour

Jennifer

“T
ruth or Dare, Jen,” challenged Chaz, my one and only gay boyfriend. “Have you had multiple orgasms with Bradley?”

Bradley Wick was my fiancé. We’d gotten engaged a few nights ago though the ring was still coming. My friends had spontaneously taken me out to Greystone Manor, one of Hollywood’s hottest clubs to celebrate. The group at our VIP table included college classmates and my very best friend in the world, Libby Clearfield, Chaz’s twin sister. Leave it to Chaz to get us into this impossible-to-get-into celebrity hangout. Libby’s brother was one of LA’s up-and-coming fashion designers. Doors opened to Chaz. The world was his oyster.

Chaz repeated the question as if I had deaf ears. My circle of friends oohed and aahed. I felt myself flush. Turn the color of the strawberry margarita I was drinking. The answer to that question was on the tip of my tongue. A single word. “Dare.” I wasn’t telling. Truth: I’d never had an orgasm with Bradley. Not a single one.

Chaz’s boyishly handsome face lit up. He seemed pleased with my response. The disappointed sighs from the others at the table made it clear they were way more interested in hearing about my sex life than in watching me make a total fool of myself. Whatever. I was a fair player and was going to have to live up to the challenge.

“Okay, so what’s my dare?” I asked Chaz.

A wicked glint flickered in his chocolate-brown eyes. “You have to kiss the man over there.”

What?
“Which man?”

That
man sitting at that table for two in the corner.”

My gaze followed his gesturing finger across the opulent, crowded club to a corner table close to the dance floor. I eyed a man seated by himself, his back to me. One arm was angled upward, so he was probably drinking a cocktail or eating something. The dark suit he was wearing looked expensive, and though it was hard to gauge how tall he was, his erect posture and broad shoulders suggested he was likely over six feet and built. His thick dark hair, styled in that trendy mussed up way, brushed his collar. I summed him up in an instant. Some filthy rich player looking for a hook-up. Okay. I could handle him. It was just a dare. A silly game. And I was sloshed.

I rose to my feet. And so did Chaz.

“Let’s make this a
real
challenge,” he crooned with a fiendish grin. In a flash, he yanked off his Burberry plaid tie, and the next thing I knew, it was tied tightly around my eyes. I was unable to see a thing.

My table of friends went crazy, with shit-faced screams of approval. Okay. So, blinded, I was going to have to make my way across the bustling nightclub to
that
man’s table, find him, and then kiss him.
