SPOTLIGHT WORKSHEET (Example)
This is what Paula's Spotlight Worksheet looked like when she evaluated her laundry room.
1. Problem:
Dirty clothes all over the floor
Goal:
Buy a hamper with three dividers: one for whites, one for colors, and one for darks. Train each family member to put his or her clothes in the assigned spot instead of on the floor.
2. Problem:
Laundry supplies that are not easy to reach
Goal:
Move the laundry supplies to a lower shelf and keep all the small supplies together in a container.
3. Problem:
Storage boxes that take up space and don't belong in this room
Goal:
Take the storage boxes to the storage room to make more space in the laundry room.
4. roblem:
Ugly rug on the floor
Goal:
Replace the rug; donate this one to charity or ask her sister if she wants the rug back.
5. Problem:
Cluttered counter space that prevents her from using it to fold clothes
Goal:
Designate homes for everything on the counter and put things back in their homes after use so the counter will stay uncluttered. Train family members and get their support to keep this area free of “stuff.”
