“I think I’m something
exotic, but not endangered.”

Seth couldn’t believe
the attitude of this guy. “You are so full of yourself.” He got up from the
chair with a sigh.

“I’m observant. You on
the other hand should train to be a chef. This is amazing.” Domenico leaned
over the bowl and started shoveling the rest of the pasta into his mouth.

“You’re handsome, but
that’s about it.” Seth shook his head as he watched his lunch disappear. He
didn’t want to talk about cooking, since he would never be doing more. No one
cared what he wanted.

“Fucking charming. Now
call your ex.”

Seth groaned and picked
up the cell phone. There was no way to avoid this. He still knew Peter’s number
by heart.

The moment he spoke,
Peter squeaked his name in a pitch so high Seth had to pull the phone away from
his ear. He sat on the bed with a sigh, absent-mindedly watching Domenico
devour the food. The broken sob he heard in the receiver made him cringe.

“I... ah... I’m at
Neil’s. I miss you so badly.”

Oh God, it had to be bad
if Peter couldn’t even stay at his apartment. Seth already imagined Peter and
Neil sitting around a tub of ice cream and ripping him apart. Wouldn’t be the
first time. “I know, I’m sorry. I just… I needed to call you, so you know I’m
not coming back.”

The silence in the cell
phone was crippling, and for a moment he considered hanging up, but then Peter
burst with whiny blabber. “Please, just tell me where you are, I’m good with
relocating.”

“I can’t tell you, Pete.
It’s…” He hesitated and looked to Dom, who was headed for the bathroom.
“…dangerous. I can’t. You wouldn’t like it.” He combed his fingers through his
hair nervously.

“I’m okay with
dangerous. Just tell me where to find you. I miss you so fucking much!” Within
a few seconds, Peter was already crying into the receiver.

Seth was feeling
horrible, but it had to be done. It didn’t help that Dom was watching him from
the bathroom. Leaning against the door frame like a young god: powerful and
sensuous enough to make any man lose focus.

Seth took a deep breath.
“I’m not coming back. And you can’t join me. I can’t be in a long-distance relationship
either.”

Dom rolled his eyes and
turned to face the bathroom. It took a moment for Seth to understand what he
was looking at when his new mentor opened the fly of his pants.

Peter’s voice was like
an annoying fly in Seth’s ear. “I don’t care, just—” The sentence was broken
off by a series of sounds, and it soon became clear someone else had gotten
hold of the telephone. Neil’s icy voice was like a cold shower.

“Seth, I know you’re
there.”

“Hi, Neil…” Seth
frowned, ready for another portion of Seth-bashing, but his eyes were instantly
drawn to the dark shadow of Domenico’s cock. Seth couldn’t help the slight
shiver that went through his body when he watched a stream of liquid leave the
tip to the slight splash of water.

“If you want to leave
him, man up and say it to his face!” Fucking Neil. Always in the way, always
”protective”, when actually he was just curious for new gossip. The guy should
mind his own fucking business. Just because he had a husband, he thought he
could tell everyone else how to live their lives.

Seth took a deep breath,
not to swear at Neil. “He’s better off without me. Just take care of him for
me, okay?”

Neil was silent for over
a second, which was fucking unusual, and when he spoke, it was to tell Seth he
was passing the cell to Peter. Seth looked up to the ceiling before his gaze
got drawn back to Dom. He and Peter weren’t a good match, that much was true.
They’d hit it off at the beginning, but as soon as they moved in together,
things started going sour. The novelty of having a steady boyfriend wore off,
and Seth couldn’t help being irritable about some of Peter’s favorite things.
Like those stupid, tacky porcelain figurines, or when he wanted to get a dog
and couldn’t understand Seth’s protests.

“Seth? Please, don’t...”
Peter’s voice was shaking. Seth looked up at Domenico, who waved his hand to
signify it was high time to end this torture.

“I’m sorry,” Seth
muttered and turned off the phone so he wouldn’t have to hear any more crying.
He rubbed his forehead, tired as if he had run a marathon.

“Good, you did the right
thing.” Domenico was slowly approaching him.

“What do you know about
the ‘right thing’?” Seth rubbed his eyes, annoyed that they were itching. “It
was a long relationship.”

“How long?” Dom pulled
his cigarettes out of his trench coat.

“Two years.” Seth held
out his hand in a silent demand. One of these days, he was sure it would work.
And it did! Domenico pushed a cigarette against Seth’s lips and turned on the
lighter at its tip. The flame danced in front of Seth’s face until the
cigarette was burning red.

“Not bad.”

Seth took a deep breath
of smoke, looking up at Dom. “My first boyfriend,” he confessed, hoping Dom
wouldn’t laugh. Seth had no one else to turn to.

“Thought as much.”
Domenico’s face lit up with the burn at the top of his cig, and he inhaled,
pushing wildfire through the cigarette.

“I started late.” Seth
stroked Dom’s thigh absentmindedly. “No one hits on the Don’s son.”

“I know I wouldn’t,”
said Domenico in a voice so serious Seth had to look up, but the diabolical
smile on the man’s face was all he needed to see. Dom was batshit and proud of
it.

Seth gave him a half
smile and took a swig of smoke. He wondered what kind of teenager Dom had been.
Calm and collected, sensitive, or aggressive and bloodthirsty? “Had you planned
all of this when you found out about me back in New York?”

Domenico shifted his
weight, drawing Seth’s attention back to Dom’s crotch. He was actually
surprised that after what had happened yesterday, he still didn’t find Dom’s
cock threatening. He just didn't. Maybe he should. “You could say that. I did
think about the possibilities.”

“Yeah? What did you
expect when you first found me?” Seth exhaled smoke.

A chuckle left
Domenico’s lips. “A miniature of your father.”

“And you got?” Seth
moved his fingers to Dom’s hip.

“I was surprised that
after so many years there, you’re still slim and handsome.”

Seth looked up and met
Dom’s gaze. “You instantly fancied me.”

“I did.” Dom’s warm
fingers curled around Seth’s hand on his hip, rough fingertips gently massaging
the skin.

“What did you think when
you found out I was living with a guy?” Seth needed to penetrate that twisted
mind, get under the warm, olive-tinted skin.

Dom chuckled. “It wasn’t
hard to notice, considering that I could see your bedroom from my window.”

A flush rushed up Seth’s
face. He’d done all sorts of stuff with Peter. He lowered his gaze, but it
didn’t help, because his eyes were now back on Dom’s crotch. He forced a laugh
to hide his nerves. “Oh yeah? You got off on it?”

Domenico shrugged. “Your
girlfriend wasn’t exactly my type. You’re gay, how could you get it up when she
was wearing all those frills?”

“Eh... it was more about
how Pete acted.” Seth’s face was burning at the realization that Dom had
watched him have sex with his boyfriend countless times, saw their role plays,
Peter’s lace panties, nighties, and corsets.

Domenico’s perfect
eyebrows gathered into a frown. “I don’t get it.”

“I mean that he...
submitted easily. Unlike
some
people.” Seth gave Dom a meaningful
glance.

“Well, I’m not a chick.
Sorry,” chuckled Domenico.

“Yeah, more like a
‘cock’.” Seth rolled his eyes. “But you said you like bondage?” He tried to
repress a smile. If only he could tie Domenico up and have a peaceful night for
once...

Domenico looked up with
a strikingly attractive scowl. “Sometimes. I like my men struggling when I know
they’re not getting away,” he muttered with a wicked smile.

Seth gasped, hypnotized
by the twinkle in Dom’s amber eyes. “Um... I... I meant the other way round?”

Domenico’s brows shot up
in a stunned expression. “Why would I want that?” Apparently, in his vision of
the world, all other men should be glad for the opportunity to submit to him.

“Why the fuck would
I
want it then?” Seth snapped and quickly stood up. With Domenico around and that
talk of bondage, it seemed safer to be off the mattress.

“Because you liked being
fucked.”

Seth could feel himself
blushing. “You know shit.” He started looking around their tiny flat. Nowhere
to hide as usual.

Domenico grinned,
adjusting one of the upturned sleeves. “I’m an expert in delighted bottoms.”

“I can’t believe you
just said that. I am
not
a bottom.” The urge to punch Dom was growing
like the mold on the walls of their room.

“You are now.” Domenico
gave him a soft, appreciative smile.

Seth took a longer look
at him. Why did the fucker have to be so handsome? “You wish.”

Domenico leaned back,
and Seth’s eyes were inevitably drawn to his crotch, where the fabric clung to
flesh. “So far, I only have evidence about you being a bottom with another
man.”

“Oh yeah? You’re the one
who claimed spying on me and Peter," dared Seth, frustrated. Maybe if he
decided to take a long shower... no, they didn’t have a fucking shower, and the
basin wouldn’t do the trick.

Domenico snarled. “Are
you honestly trying to pass that ugly tootsie with one hell of a clit for a
man?”

Seth’s eyes went wide.
It came like a punch to the gut, knocking all air out of him. “You did
not
just say that...”

“I just did.”

“Can’t you just... go
somewhere? I don’t even want to talk to you or breathe the same air.”

Domenico sighed and
reached down to adjust his cock. “We could go to see some exhibition.”

Seth gasped in relief
and leaned against the dirty wall. “Yes! Do that!” He couldn’t believe his
luck. “You can stay the night there for all I care.”

Domenico got up from the
bed before slowly making his way toward Seth. The beast might have been smaller
and less bulky, but he intimidated Seth so much that he wanted to crawl into
the wall.

“Someone needs to clear
their ears.” Domenico flashed him a movie star-smile. “You can’t possibly want
to miss the Pergamon Altar.”

Seth blanked for a
moment. Some altar? That’s what Domenico wanted to see? “The alternative being
staying here for another night?” he asked with resignation. The last thing he
wanted was to be stuck here again.

Domenico smiled at him
as if he didn’t hear the sarcasm and put his warm palm on the back of Seth’s
neck. It was just as arousing as it was a gesture of dominance. “We might eat
out after that. I know a good Italian place...”

“It better be a good
one. I’m
not
cheap.”

“Benito’s it is then.”
Domenico smiled, gently tracing Seth’s cheekbone with his thumb. “Their chef’s
from Naples.”

“Um... okay. I’m sure
it’s nice.” Seth’s heart was already pounding. It was like being in a room with
a cobra.

Domenico bit his bottom
lip. “Men from Naples... just as delicious as Sicilians.”

Seth swallowed. “I
wouldn’t know. And... Sicilians don’t seem all that good. Pushy.”

Dom laughed, pressing
closer to nip Seth’s lip. “We’re real men. It’s not my fault you only fucked
pussies so far.”

Seth pushed on his arms,
just enough to create a few inches of space. “Back off. I met loads of cool men
in the US.”

Domenico looked at him
as if he was waiting for the punchline of a joke.

“Like this Hungarian...”
Seth started, looking for a reaction.

Domenico blinked. “I
haven’t fucked any... I think.”

“He had long, dark,
curly hair and I fucked him
good
.” Seth leaned forward, feeling that
tingle of power spread through his veins.

“Oh did you?” Domenico’s
honey-colored eyes twinkled, and before Seth could see it coming, he was spun
around and pressed against the wall. “I want to know more.”

“W-why in
this
position?” All the hairs on Seth’s nape bristled, and he reflexively clenched
his buttocks.

“Was it this position?”
rasped Domenico, brushing his lips against Seth’s sensitive neck.

“Um... yeah. In a club.
I smelled his hair as we went along...” he whispered.

“You like long hair?”

“I…”
Caught red
handed.

“You smell mine when I
sleep?” Domenico brushed his hand down Seth’s torso, stopping at his belly and
pressing gently. Being so close to him made Seth’s senses go wild, even though
he didn’t
like
him. But then again, you didn’t have to like someone to
think they’re hot.
