Seated at a
table for two against the brick wall, Cara ordered a dirty martini with extra olives, and Hawk ordered a bottle of dark German beer. Steakhouse No. 316 was Cara’s favorite restaurant in Aspen, and she knew Hawk would love it since his favorite food was steak.

Hawk stared at Cara as she took a sip from her martini, a small drop clinging to her lips.

“What are you looking at?”

“You. You’re so damn sexy. I can’t get enough of you.”

“You’re not too shabby, yourself.”

Cara slipped off her high heel and rubbed her foot up and down Hawk’s leg before she placed her foot on his lap and twisted her heel into his crotch. His cock felt like a thick, hard rod beneath her heel. With smoldering eyes, he leaned toward her. “Get over here.”

She stretched over the table and their lips met in the middle. The sourness of the lime on his full lips was enough to draw her closer. She slipped her tongue inside his mouth—it was cool from her martini. They pulled back when the waiter came over to take their order. Then Hawk placed his hand over hers and gazed at her, and she saw the candlelight reflected in them.

“I can’t believe Kylie will be graduating high school in a couple months,” Cara said.

“Tell me about it. I never thought Banger would let her go away to college. She has you to thank for that.”

Cara had championed hard for Kylie to go away to college. She’d found scholarships and grants for her so when Kylie confronted her dad, she had a lot of ammunition to fight her battle for independence. Banger put up a good fight, but in the end, he acquiesced. Cara was happy for her; Kylie had wonderful experiences ahead of her.

After Cara finished her last bite of filet mignon, the waiter came over with a delectable crème brûlée. He brought two spoons.

“We didn’t order this,” Cara said.

“The gentleman did,” the waiter replied.

Cara looked at Hawk. “When?”

“I know it’s your favorite dessert. I ordered it when you went to the bathroom.”

“How sweet.” Although, she didn’t have the heart to tell him she was so full she was ready to burst. She picked up a spoon and broke through the hard, crusty top.

“Yum, this is fantastic. Here, try some.” Cara put the spoon in Hawk’s mouth. “Like it?”

“It’s rich.”

“That’s what makes it so decadent.” A small amount of the cream coated her finger. “Open up,” she said to Hawk. He opened his mouth, and she put her finger in it. As he licked and sucked the dessert off, their eyes fixed on each other. She pulled out her finger, put it in her mouth, and licked it. As she withdrew it, Hawk watched with a devilish smile on his face.

“That
is
some good shit,” he said.

They ordered two Amarettos on ice for after-dinner drinks. As Cara watched the twinkling lights of the town from the window, Hawk grasped her hand and put something hard into it. Looking at it, she saw a small black box. “What’s this?” she asked.

“Open it.”

Fingers trembling, she did. Inside, a brilliant three-carat solitaire caught the glimmer of the light. The diamond was set in a fourteen-carat gold band, with six princess-cut emerald stones on each side. It was stunning.

Hawk retrieved the box from her, took out the ring, put it on her ring finger, and said, “Marry me.”

Time stood still as Cara’s heart burst in a million pieces.
I can’t believe Hawk asked me to marry him. I never thought he would. I love him.

“Oh, yes. Yes, I’ll marry you.”

Hawk kissed her hand. “I’m so in love with you, you don’t even know how much, baby.”

As she leapt from her chair, rushing to him, Hawk pushed his chair back. Cara plopped on his lap and kissed him all over his face until her mouth covered his. “Let’s go back to the hotel. I want to show you how happy you’ve made me,” she murmured against his lips.

Back at the
hotel, Hawk had his pants unzipped before they made it to the bedroom. He unbuttoned Cara’s blouse as his hand slid up her skirt, noticing she wore those sexy thigh-highs, the ones which drove him crazy. His fingers grazed across her pussy, above her thong. Hawk’s cock grew harder as he fingered the strip of fabric between her ass cheeks. “Fuck, you drive me wild,” he muttered between kisses and bites on her lips and neck.

Cara moaned, arching her back and making her nipples brush against his t-shirt. He fondled her breasts, took each nipple into his mouth and teased it.

Cara pulled Hawk down on the bed on top of her. “I love you so much,” she breathed into his ear.

He looked into her eyes. “You’re so beautiful.” He kissed her, his mouth and tongue trailing her lips, her jawline, her tits, before settling on her stomach. While he licked her belly button, Hawk kneaded her stomach in a circular motion.

“I can’t wait to have our baby growing inside of you.”

“Whoa, let’s slow down a bit. I’ve been engaged for less than an hour.”

“You want kids, don’t you?”

“I do, but we have time. Someday, I do want to have your child.”

Hawk squeezed her, then spread her legs open and caressed her wet pussy with his fingers. Then he entered her with his hard cock. They rocked back and forth together, their movements increasing in speed as their grunts filled the bedroom. They both reached their orgasm together, clutching each other as sweat trickled down their bodies.

Hawk buried his face in Cara’s neck and murmured, “You know, whenever we make love, to me, it’s like the first time we’ve ever made love. I love you completely, Cara.”

“I love you so much, Hawk. I’m happy to spend my life with you.” She kissed his lips, then pulling out his hair tie, she ran her fingers through his hair. They held each other, listening to their beating hearts and relishing being together.

I finally found what’s been missing from my life for all these years. I have my Cara, my wildcat, in my life forever.
The moonlight illuminated the couple as Hawk listened to Cara fall asleep.

Fuck, life is incredible.

Jax’s Dilemma

Prologue

T
he scorching sun
bored into Cherri’s skin as she lay among the wildflowers. Vibrant blues, purples, yellows, and pinks carpeted the verdant field. Evergreens stood tall on the mountain range as a gurgling creek lulled her to a state of peacefulness. She could almost feel goosebumps on her forearms as a light breeze caressed her.

“Fuck, that feels good, hon.”

The raspy, male voice brought Cherri back to reality, and she looked at the thirty-something man grunting and sweating as he thrust his dick in and out of her. She stared at the peeling paint in the corner of the ceiling. If only the jerk wouldn’t have opened his mouth, she would’ve been able to stay in her safe place.

“Fuck, you feel good,” he said as he squeezed her small breasts too hard. Putting his mouth over her pink nipples, he sucked them like a vacuum.

Fuck, when is this tool going to come?
Cherri tried hard to get back to her safe place, but she couldn’t; her valley of wildflowers and sunshine was gone, retreating to the far corners of her mind until the next time she needed a protected haven.

She had created her safe place when she was fourteen years old and her life had turned to shit. It kept her sane until she split three years later to make her own way.

Finally, at the age of eighteen, her wildflower valley made the sex tolerable, especially with old men like the one who kept pawing her and pushing his lame dick into her. At least she’d get five hundred dollars for this trick. Even though she normally didn’t turn tricks, this guy was different, or so Brandon, the bartender at the gentlemen’s club where she danced, told her. The guy was rich and someone important. A councilman, she thought. The money was too good to pass up, so she agreed to be with him. She just wished he’d finish already; she wanted to go back to her apartment and take a long shower to wash off his stench.

“Are you getting close to coming?” He squeezed her breasts again.

“Huh…? Oh, yeah, sure, baby. You make me feel real good. I’m coming now.” Putting on one of her better performances, she writhed and screamed as she bucked under him.

“I’m coming now, too,” he grunted. He stiffened, exhaled, and collapsed beside her.

It’s about fuckin’ time.
Turning her head toward the window, she could see the blue sky. Tightness covered her chest while her throat grew thick. She wondered if being a whore was her destiny. Saltiness stung her eyes as she squeezed them shut, willing herself to be anywhere but in that mediocre motel room with the tobacco-stained curtains and the peeling paint.

A swat on her butt made her turn her head toward her paying lover. He leaned in close; his sweat was pungent. He kissed her deeply, his tongue thick and wet in her mouth, making her want to gag.

“That was awesome, hon. You and I are going to be regulars. I like the way you make me feel. I know you liked it.” Running his eyes over her, he lingered on her young breasts. Wiping his brow with his fingers, he said, “I can be a real generous man. You think you’d like to be my permanent girlfriend? I can set you up real good.”

Could I stand him pawing at me all the time?
“Would we live together?”

“I’d love that, but no, we’d have to be discreet. You know, with my political position and all. I’d set you up in a nice apartment. I’ll use untraceable funds. I’d come see you a few times a week. We may be able to sneak away once in a while for a weekend trip or so, but, for now, we’d have to stay in. I’ll give you an expense account, of course.”

“So, I couldn’t see you every day?”

Dragging her closer to him, he smiled. “I know that’s a disappointment, hon, but I’ll make every minute count when I come over. Oh, I won’t be spending the night, either. I have to stay under the radar, you know? Once things calm down after the election, we can see each other more. What do you say?”

Inside, her body sang for joy. Did this two-bit politician think she
wanted
to be with him all the time?
What an ego he must have.

“Oh, and I have one condition. You have to quit your job at the bar. You won’t need to strip anymore. I’ll make sure you’re well taken care of, if you make sure I am. You know what I mean?” Winking at her, he leered and twisted her breast.
