“Stop that, Angel.” She gripped his head to bring him down for a kiss, but he aimed downwards to her breasts instead. He lapped at her nipples and found them so much more sensitive than before. He laved them gently, relishing her sighs and moans. Her fingers relaxed, and then finally dropped from his head to rest on the pillow.

“Oh. My. God.” She was beginning to pant. Her face was dewy with passion. He used his thumbs to gently trace circles around her tips.

Her areolas felt like velvet against his tongue and the more attention he paid, the more she trembled, her legs scissoring beneath him.

“Sarah?”

“Please harder, I need more,” she begged, sounding desperate.

“Anything, all you ever have to do is ask.” He suckled hard, his cheeks hollowing out and she thrashed beneath him. Her nails bit into his scalp. She said something but he didn’t hear her. He lifted his head.

“What Angel? Tell me.” A tear dripped down into the hair at her temple. She whispered and he still couldn’t hear her. He put his ear to her lips.

“Bite me.” He stilled at the sexy command. He looked into her eyes so dazed with passion, and went back to her swollen breasts. He suckled, then nipped.

“More.” He took one tip between his teeth as he took the other between his fingers and then bit and pinched and she screamed as she ground her pelvis against him, her orgasm shooting through her. God, she was magnificent.

Slowly he helped her come back to herself, kiss after kiss on her swollen breasts, her swollen lips. As her eyes cleared he saw a hint of embarrassment.

“No Angel. That was the sexiest thing I ever. I love your passion.” She relaxed and smiled. Slowly he kissed his way down her sternum towards her abdomen. He blew warm air against the panel of her panties, they were soaked.

She grabbed his hands and pushed them down between her legs. He chuckled, loving her eagerness. He couldn’t wish for a lover who was more evenly matched to his needs. He yanked down her panties and had his mouth exactly where he wanted it, where she needed it.

“Perfect. So perfect.” She was close to being right. He used his hands and mouth to bring her to another quick climax. Nate got onto his knees and sheathed himself.

“No, I want to taste you,” she wailed. Her nails bit into his forearms and he laughed again. God, what had he done to deserve her?

“Later Angel, this was fast, remember?” He eased into her and now he found perfect.

“Lay on top of me Nate, surround me.”

“Soon Sarah.” He brought her legs over his arms, and angled her up in such a way she was soon moaning.

“Yes, I like this. I like this a lot. God, you’re good at this.” She met him stroke for stroke. He never had a lover like Sarah, so hot and sexy, it took everything he had not to come like a sixteen year old. He put his thumb up to her mouth.

“Suck this, get it nice and wet for me.” God, what a mouth she had. Those lips were so kissable, so fuckable. This was not helping him. He yanked his thumb out of her mouth, and placed it at the top of her sex, tracing soft circles.

“Nate, no fair, that’s too much.”

“Angel, this isn’t about fair, this is about pleasure. I like watching you come.”

“Together, we go together.” She tightened her muscles on him, and he pushed in deeper as he groaned and circled her clit. He watched as her beautiful breasts undulated and her eyes turned slumberous. There had never been a more gorgeous woman.

“Now.” It took everything he had to keep his eyes open, to watch the pleasure wash over her face, to see her fly. She’d taken him with her, just like she would for the rest of their lives.

She woke up with him halfway on top of her. She knew he hadn’t done it, she had once again wormed her way underneath his body. He was always too careful of his weight to actually lay on top of her like she asked. She pressed a kiss to his breastbone, and he rumbled in pleasure.

“Warm enough, Angel?”

“Oh yes. Tired though. You wore me out.” He cupped the back of her head, and tipped her up so he could look at her.

“Are you okay? Are you sore?” She melted at the concern in his eyes.

“Keep me here another week and maybe then I’ll cry uncle.” She nibbled at his dimpled chin until he smiled.

“A week huh?” His hands drifted south.

“Maybe two.”

“I had time to talk to your dad last night, I thought it might be nice if the four of us could go out to dinner when this is over with.” She stopped his hands. She couldn’t very well have him touching her in private places when they were talking about her parents.

“Won’t that be tough to arrange with your schedule?” She watched as his expression clouded.

“Fuck me. Angel, I’m a dumbass. Just shoot me.” He grabbed her hands. “How is it I managed to tell you I loved you and I wanted to be with you, but I forgot to tell you I planned to ask for a change in duties so I could be stateside?

“You did?” her voice was barely a whisper.

“Sarah, I want to be with you. You’re my priority.” If a heart could actually stop, Sarah was sure hers did at that moment.

“I love you so much, Nate Goodman.”

“Thank God, because you’re my world.” His eyes sparkled as he swept down for a kiss. She parted her lips, knowing they were never going to leave this bed again. Then his stomach growled. She howled with laughter and rolled away from him, reaching for the menu on the nightstand.

“You misunderstood, it’s not food I want,” he grumbled. Then his stomach growled again and she grinned at him. They were perusing the food options when his cell phone rang. It was Sierra inviting them downstairs to meet up for breakfast, which Nate immediately declined.

They called in their order for room service and were showered and dressed by the time their food arrived.

“So what did you find out while I’ve been hanging with my family?”

“You know most everything. We haven’t been able to track down where Stovers is, he’s currently working on some long term assignment, and not expected back in the office for at least a month. As for Alma, Cyrus got Kathy Simms taken out of custody in Nevada, and she’s being driven around the Atlanta area to determine where Alma might be. They’ve narrowed it down to Sandy Springs.”

“That’s not telling you much of anything.” Sarah knew they were trying, but Sandy Springs covered a huge area, and she said so.

“I know,” Nate admitted.

“But that’s not what I wanted to talk about.”

“Okay. We can talk about anything.” She melted, knowing it was the absolute truth. They could.

“It’s about Alma, but not the way you think.”

“I’m listening.”

“I know how we’ve been put here on this Earth dimension to do little things, just small acts to tip this universe, I don’t know what exactly, but to tip it in a positive direction. But what about our kids? Are they going to be expected to do more? I’ve already seen Nell is going to be more powerful than Seth,” she said referring to a child of a
found
father. “And if what I think is true, Alma might be even more powerful.”

She watched Nate and he was struggling.

“Babe, just spit it out,” she asked.

“I don’t see how Alma will be able to help in any way, shape or form,” he said.

“Oh you’re wrong. She’s going to be so much stronger than me. She’s already taught me so much. Nate, I have her ability,” she said excitedly. “I could do what she does. I’ve looked inside myself, and I could just as easily
unheal
someone. I could strip away their health, and it’s what she’s doing. When someone teaches her to heal, she’s going to be phenomenally powerful.” She leaned her forehead on his chest, and he sifted his hand through her hair.

“That’s great, you can help her, but that’s not what’s eating you, is it?”

“Why is the next generation getting stronger?”

“You’re worried the next generation has to do even more than you have to right?” She nodded as she bit her lip.

“You’re not thinking this through Sarah. What about Max and Gabriella, do you really think the next generation are stronger than them?”

“You’re right, they probably aren’t.” Sarah felt a huge sense of relief.

“I think you’re going to need to talk to them about your concerns. About what is expected. But you know something?” She looked up at the beautiful man who had come to mean everything to her.

“No, what?”

“I think things aren’t really expected of you. I think this is all about what you’re willing to give Angel.”

Sex, sleep and syrup, could a man get any happier? He noticed that the table had gone silent. When he looked up, everybody was staring at him.

“What?”

“Damn man. I thought you already ate breakfast up in your room,” Kota said.

“I did, but I forgot it was Sunday, and they offer brunch. I love brunch.” Nate had three plates in front of him and he put two in front of Sarah, one of which was really for him. All three of his plates were covered in syrup.

“Man, you poured syrup on your eggs.”

“So?”

“Your eggs benedict,” Kota clarified.

“Kota, he poured syrup on the shrimp,” Sierra pointed to a portion of the third plate.

“Gross.”

“Syrup is one of God’s miracles.”

“Sarah, did you know about this. It’s still not too late to back out.” Cyrus took a bite of his syrup free eggs benedict. Sarah just laughed.

“Guys, you knew he was a human garbage disposal.”

“I knew he had a junk food fetish, but syrup on shrimp?” Sierra shuddered. Kota nodded in agreement. Sarah enjoyed the levity. They sorely needed it, but even she had to admit the syrupy shrimp looked awful. Then she saw the look of bliss on Nate’s face when he took a bite and it made her heart swell.

“I’ve been doing some digging,” Sierra said as she snatched some bacon from Kota. “I think I have something.” Max and Gabriella perked up. “Now you have narrowed it down to Sandy Springs, I haven’t been able to find any properties owned by Rixitron, but I found one rented by Brone Enterprises which Rixitron purchased six months ago. Brone is such a new acquisition it really hasn’t gotten on the books. Anyway, the place they’re renting is a small little office in an upscale office building. Just ten by ten. Brone’s headquartered in Virginia so this is weird and worth investigating.”

“It can’t be the place that Simm’s visited,” Gabriella said.

“No, but it is the first lead we’ve had,” Nate grinned between bites.

“I’m up for some breaking and entering,” Kota said enthusiastically.

“I didn’t hear that,” Cyrus frowned.

“Will you two mellow out before I pour syrup on your food?” Everybody went back to watching Nate eat everything he brought to the table, and then watched in amazement as he went back for seconds.

The office held a work cubicle and a fascinating whiteboard. Kota took pictures, and brought it back to Nate and Sarah’s suite. Max was the only one who could make heads or tails of it.

“What is it you do again?” Cyrus asked.

“He’s head of R&D for Dianysis,” Sarah reminded her brother.

“Basically this is part of a formula I’ve seen before to repair an immune system, but this part, right here, is new to me. It’s interesting.” He pointed to a bunch of meaningless symbols.

“So this is about Almacita,” Gabriella said. “Good, we need to talk to the person tomorrow when they get into the office. Nate you are the most intimidating, you will go with me.”

“Wait a moment Gabriella, you’re not going anywhere.” Nate was amazed by the woman’s sheer audacity.

“She is my responsibility,” she sliced the air with her hand. “You are not doing this without me. He will speak to me. This is what I do. I get people to speak. They do not lie. They do not hesitate. They speak. I will be there when we find Stovers, and we will know everything.”

“If that’s the case, why do you need someone intimidating?”

“He might try to overpower me. You will stop him,” she said this as if it were obvious. She got up and went to the door. “I will be here at five am, please be ready.” After she left everyone turned to Max.

“What the hell was that?” Cyrus demanded.

“Gabriella has always been like that. She is very protective of her charges.” Much more hands on as far as Nate was concerned. But now he was faced with the in-your-face approach he wasn’t sure he liked it either. Dammit. He looked around the room. He noticed Kota had a half smile on his face. Apparently he liked the in-your-face approach.

“Max, do you think the new formula could help cure Alma?” Sierra asked. Max laughed. “What?” Sierra asked with a tinge of outrage in her voice.

“I’m sorry Sierra. It’s just Sarah will be able to heal her. For that matter Maricel can heal her now she is coming into her full powers. But to answer your question, I don’t think the new formula is right. I want to take it to my lab at Dianysis and have my scientists study it, I think it might have legs. It would be a Godsend if we could really start to make headway in curing this.”

“What about the fact Alma takes everybody’s energies? Won’t she hurt Maricel or Sarah?”

“I’ve been thinking about it,” Sarah spoke up. “She’s thirteen months old now. I think she should be able to understand some of what she’s doing. If we can show her what it feels like to be healed, I think she will want to mimic it.”

“Sure, but she does the opposite. What makes you think she can heal?” Sierra asked curiously.

“I think what Alma does and what I do are two sides of the same coin. Nate, can I use you for a guinea pig for a moment. You’re fueled up.” Nate looked over at the beautiful woman sitting beside him.

“How bad is this going to hurt?”

“It’ll be quick. I’ll make it right in just a minute.” That meant it was probably going to hurt. Kota laughed, the bastard.

Sarah bit her lip, then placed her hand on his forearm. It felt like he was a football who was being deflated. He started to slump, and Max pushed against his chest, as Sarah lifted her hand. His head swirled, and he had a tough time making out the table in front of him.
