Epilogue
Twelve months later
“Pet,
could you come here please?”
Simone
shivered as excitement curled within her belly. Her Master wanted to play.
She
pulled the rubber gloves off her hands and placed them down on the sink,
abandoning the water still full of dishes.
Patrick
had asked her to move in with him six months ago and she had never been
happier. She was his Sub, his pet, in the bedroom and at the club. But in their
home and out with family or friends she was his girlfriend, his darling. Her
life was perfect.
She
pushed back her hair that had escaped from where it was tied in a low ponytail
and walked through the house.
“Where
are you, sir?”
“Here.”
His
voice surprised her as she moved through the lounge room and she jumped.
“Oh
goodness …” She trailed off as she saw where he was and what he held.
He
was on his knees, a pink collar in one hand and a jewelry box in the other.
Simone’s breath caught in her throat and her belly tightened with anticipation.
Was he really going to ask her what she had been dreaming about for the whole
year they had been together?
“Simone,
I love you. You are now everything to me. You make my life better just because
you are in it and I want to ask you, will you marry me?”
Simone
stepped forward and nodded as tears slipped down her cheeks.
“I
would love to.”
Patrick
placed the collar down so that he could remove her beautiful engagement ring
from the black velvet box and slipped it onto her finger. It was a brilliant
cut solitaire diamond with a diamonds along the band, all encased in platinum.
Simon
gasped and brought her hand up to her face so that she could take a better look
at it. It was beautiful, but her Master wasn’t finished yet.
“I
also want you to consider an official collaring ceremony. I know that you
haven’t been in the lifestyle long and have yet to observe one, but you are
mine. I want the whole world to know it.”
Simone
didn’t need to consider her
answer,
she dropped to her
knees and bent forward so that her nose was almost on the floor. She needed to
be lower than her Master and he was currently kneeling.
“I
don’t need an official ceremony, sir, unless you specifically do. I have
researched a collaring ceremony and know what it entails. I am yours, for
eternity. I have no wish to be anyone else’s but yours. Please allow me to wear
your collar from this day forth.”
Simone
waited,
her heart light and free. She had been
researching
collarings
for months now. She was often
envious of the Subs in their club that had been collared by their Master or
Mistress. For some people in the lifestyle it equated to a wedding ring, but it
was something that you could not return. It showed true commitment, and she
wanted that.
She
gave Patrick everything she was and she wanted the world to know it.
Cool
leather slid around her throat and her Master clipped her collar into place.
There was a small snick as the lock closed and Simone trembled in anticipation
of what would happen next.
Simone
stayed where she was, her body heating in its usual way to her Master’s
presence.
“You
are mine, Simone. You will honor and obey me for all time.”
“Yes,
Master,” she whispered, tears leaking onto her cheeks and then falling unheeded
onto the carpet.
“And
I will treasure you, look after you, and love you for as long as my heart
beats.”
Simone
closed her eyes, true happiness sliding through her as though it were a
physical entity.
“Lift
up, pet.”
Simone
lifted her head but stayed sitting on her haunches, determined to show her Master
the respect he deserved.
“Would
you like to make some phone calls announcing our engagement before we
celebrate?”
Simone
shook her head and wiped away the final tears that slid down her cheeks.
“No,
Master. My only request would be that you do not hold back tonight. I know you
have been. I trust you with everything I am.’
Patrick,
her Master, the man that would soon be her husband, got to his feet and clipped
a pink leash onto her collar.
“Come,
my pet, crawl beside me. Master has a special treat for you tonight.”
Simone
smiled as she crawled along beside her man. Some women said they would walk
through fire for the person they
loved,
the only
difference with Simone was that she meant it.
