“I let myself in. I didn’t realize I needed an invitation to check in on my best friend.” She gives me the attitude back. I deserve it though. “I know this sucks, but Chrome isn’t going to let anything happen to Lyric. Between him, Levi, Ryker, and Judge you have the best people handling it all.” Hearing Judge’s name again, I feel a shiver go through my body. A distant memory of a person I never thought I would see again.

“Judge.” I say.

“What about him?” Star asks with a puzzled look on her face.

“I fucked him.” I blurt out without any further explanation. Star’s face looks like she has seen a ghost and her mouth hangs open in shock. I wonder why she would actually be shocked about my pre-Levi whore-ish behavior.

“Um… what do you mean
you fucked him
?” She asks. I can see the wheels turning in her mind. She is thinking the worst and I can’t help but laugh. She thinks I fucked him recently, as in cheated on my husband with him.

“Yeah, probably about four years ago at the club. Sorry to disappoint you, I didn’t cheat on my husband.” I laugh. Although, now that I think of it, I totally should have fucked with her and convinced her that I did. I guess I just don’t have jokes in me right now.

“Oh my fuck! You bitch. I thought you really went off the deep end this time!” Star lets out a deep breath she was obviously holding. “Don’t fuckin’ do that to me! You scared the shit out of me!”

“Sorry, I didn’t think you were going to take it that way. I thought you would know me well enough by now to know I wouldn’t cheat on Levi. Seriously Star.”

“Dude, you’ve been off the rails. ANYTHING is possible with you.” I guess she is right. But I still feel kind of shitty just thinking about cheating on my husband. It has to be one of my worst fears; that he would cheat on me, that is.

“I guess that is kind of true, but you have to give me a little more credit than that. If I were going to cheat on my husband, I would do it with someone good. Like your husband. I’d make it worth fucking my whole world up.” I laugh hysterically and grab my stomach doubling over. I gasp for air in my own fit of laughter. Star isn’t as amused by my comment as I am, but I can see her slowly calm down.

“You are lucky I love you.” She says while jumping onto my bed and making herself comfortable.

“You could never hate me! I know you’ve tried, but I am just way too lovable!”

“So tell me about this Judge guy.” she says. “He kinda keeps to himself and he’s new, so I’m nosey. You know how I am.”

“There isn’t much to tell about him. I played with him one night at the club. That was all.” I say without much thought. “He likes being topped. But, we all know men just love it when I tie them up and have fun with them.” I can’t help but plaster an evil grin to my face. I love fucking with male subs. It’s always just been a highlight of my kink.

“So, if he’s been to the club then he knows Vince.” Star states the obvious.

“Obviously.”

“Then why didn’t he say that to Chrome? Why would he hide that he has ties to Sinners & Swingers?” Star says without missing a beat. My normally dull sidekick is onto something I never even put any thought into.

“Why would he tell Chrome about it?” I ask.

“Because of the shit with Vince. He was put in charge of watching Vince with Ryker before Lyric turned up missing. Why didn’t he say that he knew the guy he was put in charge of following? Wouldn’t you think that would be an important piece of information?” Star goes on, but she is making sense. Why wouldn’t he tell Chrome about his past connection to Vince?

“Because he is fuckin’ working with him. Judge is a fuckin’ plant!” I yell across the room. It all slowly starts to come together. I haven’t seen the guy in years and he magically shows up in my town around the same time that Vince decides he wants to extort us out of money all these years later? Vince could have done this a long time ago, right after James died. But he didn’t. He left me alone. He let this all sit and simmer.

“You think he really is?” Star asks me with a much more serious look on her face than she had minutes ago. “Because if you think that is really what is going on, I need to get ahold of Chrome sooner rather than later.”

“Who is watching Vince?” I ask, wondering which bikers were left behind with the task.

“I think Vegas, Stone, and Ace.” Star replies while chewing on her bottom lip. Something she always does when she is deep in thought. My wheels turn as I think up a plan. What could we do? How can we bring this all to an end while Chrome and Levi aren’t here? Ya know, its better they aren’t here because there is no way in hell Levi would go for any of this.

“Get them on the phone. Tell them that we need them over here at the house ASAP. Get Paisley here to watch the kids, and we will sneak out before they get here. It will give us enough time to corner Vince alone at the motel before they figure out what we did.” I say and pause to think about what move should come next. If anyone ever figures out what we are about to do, we would be in deep shit with all the men. But, we can’t let this sit. We need to act on it now. Before it is all too late.

“Send Chrome a text and tell him that Judge isn’t who he says he is. Don’t call. It will bring too much attention to the conversation.” Star picks her phone up and goes to work on her task. I get Paisley on the phone and tell her we need her help.

“I’ll be over shortly with Diesel.” Paisley says.

“No, leave him at home. Girls only.” I tell her but offer no more details as to why we don’t want her biker husband here to tip off the other guys that we are about to fuck up their whole day. And then I sent up a silent prayer that our stupid idea doesn’t end up getting us in deeper shit with no one here to bail us out.

“Am I going to need bail money?” Paisley asks while walking into the living room of my house. “Because, I’m not sure I like where any of this is going.” She confesses.

I hate to admit it, but she worries about me just as much as I worry about her. I was with her through a lot, but it seems like recently she wants to protect me. The tables have turned, that is for sure.

“No, we will be good. We should be back in about two hours. If we aren’t back by then, tell Diesel what is going on.” I laugh knowing that half the club is going to be at my house within a half hour because of the phone call Star is about to make.

“Just don’t get hurt.” She says.

“Oh, we won’t.” Star says as she pulls the front door closed. “You sure about this?” she turns to me and asks. I can see the hesitation on her face. She isn’t totally down with my plan. No sane person would be, but I know it is what we need to do. We have Vince right where we want him right now. If we didn’t move, we would both regret it in the long run.

Ten minutes later we are pulling into the motel parking lot. Star jogs into the office and grabs a key to the room Vince is occupying. Perks of being married to the owner I guess. She returns to the car and hands the key to me with a look I can’t really make out. Typically she is easy to read, or maybe I am just off of my game.

“You sure about this?” she asks me one last time.

“Yeah, he isn’t gonna hurt us. He wants money, and he thinks he is going to get it. He doesn’t understand now that we placed Judge the whole jig is up. We’ll make him sign the papers we had the lawyers work up, because I am sure he has them and we will leave as owners as Sinners & Swingers, and Judge… well he is gonna be fucked when Chrome finally figures out what his punishment is gonna be.” That part isn’t our problem. Although, it bothers me that Judge could be in on something like this. I seriously misjudged him all those years ago. I made a funny. Judge… misjudged. Get it? Nevermind. Shit!

I grab the bag I packed from the back seat and we make our way to the motel room Vince is held up inside. I didn’t tell Star about my bag of toys because there is no way she would have gone along with my plan had she known. Hey, I had to have some kind of backup because if we are being honest, Chrome is the scary half of their relationship. I don’t think Star could hurt a fly.

The key fits perfectly into the lock and I turn it as quietly as I can. I am under no impression that we are going to find Vince in a compromising position. It would be nice, but we just aren’t that lucky. The lock clicks louder than I would have liked and as we push the door open, we are greeted with an empty hotel room. I am slightly let down because I really would have loved to tie this guy to his bed and torture the shit out of him just for shits and giggles. Fucker ruined my plan. I silently signal Star to come in and help me look around. She passes me, looking around and exploring the messy room. He has clearly been here for a couple days without leaving. Just so happens that we finally decided to make a move when he wasn’t here.

I cautiously push the bathroom door open, praying he isn’t hiding in there. It is empty and messy as fuck, just like the rest of the place. I peer out of the bathroom and see Star closing and locking the door back up, including the privacy chain. Which I am hoping may buy us a couple minutes to find something if Vince does show back up.

“There’s a window in the bathroom right?” Star asks.

“Yeah, why?” I question her.

“That’s our exit. You up for that?” she asks.

“If we have to.” I complain. Let’s be honest here. I had a baby like a minute ago. All this Harriet the Spy bullshit is far beyond the shit I should be doing right now. But, nooooo. Seven James doesn’t get a
maternity leave
or even a fuckin’ maternity break. Like I should have even expected one.

“Toss the room. He has to be hiding everything in here. It looks like he moved into the motel.” We begin to pull drawers open, unzipping bags and suitcases to look at the contents, and then I find it. The holy grail of what would hold everything this fucker is trying to blackmail us with… a laptop. Relief starts to flood through my body and I fist pump to celebrate my find. But it is only a short-lived victory when Star starts to freak out.

“We only have a couple more minutes,” Star says, peering out the window. “It won’t be long before the guys pick up GPS on us and we don’t want that kind of attention here. We’ll leave here and go to Maggie’s and pretend like we are having lunch or dinner. Whatever the fuck time of day it is, dammit! Whatever you think is important, grab and shove in your bag.” She says more frantically this time.

“Is someone out there?”

“Not yet!” She yells and starts grabbing all the papers scattered across the coffee table. I slip the laptop into my bag and hope there really is something worth a shit on there.

“Anything else worth a shit over there?” I ask while filling my bag with anything worth a shit I can find. Star just shakes her head. The doorknob starts to jiggle and we both stop dead in our tracks. Our eyes both go wide as saucers and we look at each other for some kind of plan.

OUT THE WINDOW, I mouth at Star. We both sprint across the room as quietly as we can, just as the door pushes open. From behind the bathroom door we can hear a sea of curses coming from the chain in the way.

“I didn’t fuckin’ hook no chain. What is this shit?” Vince mumbles with an irate tone. I want to giggle, but I won’t be doing any of that until we are both home free. I toss my backpack into Star’s arms and climb up onto the toilet to make my way out of the open window. My feet come in contact with the cement and I thankful I didn’t get hurt. God knows jumping out of windows isn’t really something I want to be doing as a fucking hobby. Before Star can toss the bag out to me, or make her exit I hear a voice behind me.

“I should have known you were behind this, Seven. You can’t just give up any money, can you?” I slowly turn, eying the empty window in the process. Star is gone. Nowhere to be found and I am alone to deal with Vince on my own in this shitty alleyway. I know it won’t be long until Star is here as my backup, so if I can just toy with him for a couple minutes, we will both be home free with the laptop in the bag that she has.

“Of course not, Vince. I don’t work with criminals, which is why I turned your shitty deal down all those years ago. You ran that club into the ground. Without controlling interest you would have thrown my money in the trash too.” I try to not let on that I am scared. I’m alone in this darkening alley with a man I don’t know worth a shit. I have no idea what Vince is capable of doing.

“It would have been so much easier for you to just give me that money, Seven. Now the world is going to know all about you and the life you live. The way you whore around, how your husband is really a closet fag, the way your best friend is really your own personal pussy pal when you decide you are up for a little girl-on-girl action. It’s all coming out Seven. And there isn’t any way you can stop it now. I’d never give you the club. Not for all the money in the world.” Vince looks like he has aged decades over a year. His normally clean shaved face and head is covered in grey stubble. His face wears wrinkles showing his actual age. His gut is barely covered by a tight black t-shirt that is filthy. The least that this guy could do is take a fuckin’ shower.

“It’s never been about money, Seven. It’s always been about power. Making you submit to me. But you’re a dumb bitch who doesn’t know how to be a decent sub.” Sub? Me? Ha! No fucking way. No way in hell!
