Once she took in the dark, warm room softened only by the natural sunlight spilling in, she quickly found herself refocusing on Adrianna. Even with the other woman seated behind her desk, Diana became aware of her regal air, her stately posture. Her flawless complexion looked smooth and touchable.

Adrianna lifted a stemmed glass to her thin but pretty lips. “Join me for a glass of wine?”

Diana realized an open bottle jutted from an ice bucket on the credenza behind her boss. Another glass waited there, as well. “Yes. Thank you.”

Adrianna poured the wine and passed it across the desk to Diana, their fingers touching during the exchange. As soon as Diana took a sip, she knew she was tasting a very expensive and elegant Riesling. The sweet wine nearly tickled going down.

Her boss cast a polite smile. “I wanted the opportunity to spend a little private time getting to know you.”

Diana wasn’t sure what to say, so she simply nodded.

“Tell me about Baltimore,” the elegant woman said.

Taking another sip of wine, Diana made the requisite small talk, filling Adrianna in on having been raised in a suburb, her refurbished home in the city where she liked the hustle and bustle, and concluding with how much she enjoyed traveling for Adrianna, Inc., since it gave her the opportunity to get a taste of so many other places. “And now I can add Las Vegas to my list,” she ended with a smile.

“So you’re enjoying our little gambling den?” Adrianna asked with a light laugh.

“Very much,” she replied, and just the thought of Marc and how much she’d enjoyed him and his friends last night set her pussy to tingling again, unbidden.

“May I ask you a question that could be deemed personal, Miss Marsh?”

Diana sat up a bit straighter in her chair, surprised. “Um, sure. Certainly.”

“Do you wear our Adrianna products?”

She nodded. “Yes, I do.”

“And are you wearing them now?”

Another nod. “Yes.”

Adrianna gave her head a slight tilt. “May I ask which ones?”

Diana drew in her breath slightly. “Um, a bra and thong set from the Starlight Collection—in smoky indigo.”

“Lovely choice. May I see?”

Diana flinched. Had she heard that correctly?

In response, a sly little cat’s smile spread across Adrianna’s thin, pretty face. “My apologies, Miss Marsh—I can see I’ve caught you off guard, which was not my intention.” She shook her head, still looking as relaxed and pleasant as if they were discussing the weather. “I understand completely if my request made you uncomfortable. You’re certainly not obligated in any way to comply.” She gave her head a surprisingly friendly tilt. “It was unorthodox, and even out of line. I suppose I’m simply interested in which of my designs women choose, and why. It educates me to see my products on different body types. Very unprofessional behavior, though.” She held up her wine. “Clearly, I’ve had one too many after-lunch glasses of wine today. Forgive me.”

Diana was ninety-five percent sure the beautiful, elegant Adrianna had just attempted to seduce her. Her chest went hollow. “Nothing to forgive,” she said lightly. “And I can understand how it would be gratifying to see your lingerie on various women.”

Adrianna’s small smile somehow continued to seduce and intimidate Diana at the same time. “This company is my life, Miss Marsh. I’m thirty-four years old and I’ve spent the last twelve of those years building Adrianna, Inc. into what it is today. Hopefully you can understand if I appear a bit overzealous about it.”

“Of course,” Diana said, pushing up from her chair, suddenly uncomfortable making eye contact with her superior—it seemed too intimate. She took a few steps to one of the wide windows that overlooked downtown and Las Vegas Boulevard in the distance, biting her lip uncertainly, wondering what it would be like to be with a woman.

Certainly if she were attracted to women, Adrianna was a lovely female specimen with her long legs, high breasts, her smooth complexion, and those wide eyes with their long, black lashes. In fact, as she tried to envision what it would be like to fool around with Adrianna, her cunt went hot. And when she wondered how
Marc
would react to the idea, she felt herself swelling against her panties.

Still looking cool and sophisticated, Adrianna rose from her desk and approached Diana near the window. The woman stood close enough that Diana picked up a scent of musky perfume. She found herself wondering exactly which Adrianna, Inc. garments Adrianna wore under
her
prim suit.

“Is it too soon to ask how your work is going?” Adrianna inquired easily.

Diana was both unsettled and slightly aroused by her nearness. “No, actually. It’s going quite well. I think the guys are catching on about what appeals to women.”

“I’m sure you’re explaining to them that each woman is her own animal, with her own unique set of urges and desires.”

“Yes,” she said.

A part of Diana was tempted to ask if Adrianna still wanted to see her lingerie. She found herself wondering what it might feel like to kiss another woman, to press against a woman’s curves, to rake her tongue over a woman’s nipple.

Since when are you so curious about those things?
she couldn’t help asking herself.

If she was honest, it had started last night, at the show, with Marc. It had been wholly erotic to find herself aroused by the same things that aroused a man—and to share it with him without feeling shy or confused.

But if she was
completely
honest, any vision she might form of herself getting intimate with Adrianna didn’t feel complete—or even all that appealing—without Marc involved. It was just like last night in the limo. Being with Dan and Craig had been like being with Marc, just in another way. She’d understood that it would excite him and she’d wanted that more than anything. If Marc were here and if he wanted her to experiment with Adrianna, she thought she probably would. In fact, she probably wouldn’t be able to resist. But Marc
wasn’t
here. And that made her decision easy.

“Speaking of the catalog,” Diana said, smiling politely up at her boss, “I should probably get back to work with the guys. Unless there was anything else you wished to discuss.”

Adrianna gave an acceptant and respectful smile. Her eyes seemed to say they both understood that Diana was turning her down, but that it was okay. “No, nothing else,” the other woman said. “I just wanted to get to know you a bit better, and make sure you know that we’re glad you’re here with us.”

Diana returned the smile. “I’m truly glad to be here.”

Adrianna walked with her to the door, and as Diana placed her hand on the doorknob, Adrianna took a step closer, as close as she’d stood at the window. “Perhaps we’ll have the opportunity to get together socially before you return to Baltimore.”

Perhaps,” Diana said, curious if
socially
meant
sexually
—and did she
want
that? Did
Marc
? She couldn’t help wondering just how far she was willing to take her overwhelming desire to please and excite him in whatever way she could.

Chapter Five

“How’s your pussy?” Marc asked when she stepped into the conference room to find him alone there.

The question made her flinch. “Why?” Did he somehow know what had just transpired in Adrianna’s office?

He laughed, looking confused. “Because you said it was sore this morning and I was hoping it was feeling better.”

She looked around the room. “Where are the other guys?”

“Brainstorming in the break room. They like a change of scenery. I can go get them if you’re ready to get back to work. By the way, what did, uh, Adrianna want?”

She felt breathless. “That’s why I wondered if we were alone. You won’t
believe
what just happened to me.”

He cocked a small smile in her direction. “Did Adrianna try to seduce you in her office?”

Diana gasped, then shut the conference room door to ensure their privacy. “How did you know?”

He shrugged. “I know Adrianna really well. I’ve known her since long before I started working for her, in fact. And I just had this feeling…you’re her type.

She sucked in her breath. “Does she only like women?”

He shook his head. “No, she’s an equal opportunity seductress. The way she looks at it is like this. She’s not planning to ever get married or have kids—she’s married to Adrianna, Inc. She doesn’t feel she has time for relationships, and I don’t think she’s even interested in having one. But she still has physical needs, and she’s pretty happy to fulfill them with men
or
women, whoever’s available that she’s attracted to.”

A peculiar inkling made Diana say, “You?”

He gave her a frank look. “A long time ago. Before I worked here. Since then, well…we occasionally run into each other socially, but we’ve made it a point not to even act like we know each other, let alone do anything together. Makes it a lot easier to work together, you know?”

“I’ll admit I’m relieved that
you and I
seem to be able to work together okay, even given…you know.” She smiled.

He replied with a nod. “I had the same worry, but it’s going amazingly smoothly, isn’t it?”

She tilted her head, wondering something else now. “Has Adrianna seduced anyone else—I mean anyone
here
?”

Another shrug, a soft smile. “Holly.”

Holly
?”

He laughed at her wide-eyed shock. “Just between you and me, I think she and Holly are a pretty regular thing. Holly once told me over too many drinks at happy hour.”

“But Holly’s so…sweet.”

“Doesn’t preclude her from being sexual. I don’t think they have anything emotional going on or anything—I think they just make each other feel good and move on. It’s easy for them to spend a lot of time in Adrianna’s office with the door closed since Holly’s her secretary as well as the receptionist.”

She shook her head, trying to clear it.

Marc’s expression turned sympathetic. “I thought about warning you, but I wasn’t sure she’d really make a pass. And…I also wasn’t sure how you’d respond.”

Diana plopped back into a chair, still stunned. “Well, I’m beginning to see why people need help getting things done around here. Instead of working on Adrianna, Inc. business, everybody’s fucking Adrianna.”

Marc just laughed. “Not really. Only Holly.”

She cast an amused smile. “And you.”

“Ancient history.”

“And nearly me.”

He raised his eyebrows, and she could see his instant arousal. “
Really
now. You were tempted?”

She cast an uncertain look. “I don’t know. Not really. But I found myself wondering…well, wondering what
you
would want if
you
were there.”

He smiled, looking pleased. “You would do that just to get me off?”

“Maybe.” She grinned flirtatiously. “As you know, that’s certainly part of what drove me to do what I did last night.”

He continued to look satisfied, even moved. “I’m not sure if this makes me a selfish pig, but I like hearing that.”

“Well, now you know
exactly
how you affect me, as if it wasn’t perfectly obvious before,” she said teasingly. “I was a bad girl before I got here, but something about you makes me want to be a
very, very
bad girl.”

He leaned against the table next to where she sat. “Have you ever done another woman before?”

She shook her head.

“But now you’re interested?”

She grinned at his enthusiasm. “I said
maybe
,” she reminded him. “And like I said, it would probably depend upon
your
level of interest.”

“Oh, I’m interested, all right, sweetheart. No need to doubt
that
.”

“You know, I used to think I was pretty wild before I came out here, but I’m beginning to feel naïve.”

He flashed a look of doubt. “You? No way. I saw the way you were last night—nothing naïve about you, baby.” He slid his hand onto her thigh, up under her skirt. “Speaking of which, do you want to come over to my place tonight? A little dinner, a little playing? Can I tempt you with
that
?”

Diana smiled. “Now that’s a temptation I can’t resist. I would love to come to your place tonight.”

He leaned in for a slow tongue kiss, his hot, masculine mouth on hers making her forget about Adrianna entirely. “Good. Because as much as I like watching you with others, I also get a little possessive sometimes, and I’m really looking forward to having you all to myself.”

Diana’s heart fluttered a little. She was beginning to think he was perfect. And if she didn’t have Bradley or her parents to worry about, not to mention the fact that she lived on the other side of the continent, well…she couldn’t help thinking that it was like Holly had said this morning—Marc seemed like a perfect fit for her.

* * * * *

Marc drove toward the strip to pick Diana up for dinner at his place, as planned. After that, he was going to get naked with her and make sure they both had a very good time.

What an initiation she’d had to Sin City already, he thought, chuckling to himself. And yet, she was still up for another night of passion in his bed. God, with each passing hour he liked this woman better and better.
