GREEN GODDESS DRESSING

A colourful dressing with a superb flavour. This is excellent as a dip or dressing.

½ lb soft
or
medium tofu

¼ cup flax oil
or
olive oil

½ tbsp chives

¼ cup fresh parsley

2 tbsp vinegar

½ small onion

1-3 cloves garlic

tsp pepper

½ tsp salt

In a blender or food processor, blend together all the ingredients until smooth and creamy.

CREAMY ITALIAN DRESSING

A cool, zesty version of this ever so popular dressing.

½ lb soft
or
medium tofu

½ cup flax oil
or
olive oil

3 tbsp vinegar

1 tsp salt

tsp pepper

4 cloves garlic, minced

2 tbsp sweet pickle relish (or 1 large pickle)

¼ tsp dried oregano

tsp red pepper flakes

In a blender or food processor, blend together the tofu, oil, vinegar, salt, and pepper until smooth and creamy. Fold in the garlic, relish, oregano, and red pepper flakes. Excellent as a chip dip in addition to a salad dressing.

FABULOUS FRENCH DRESSING

A tangy dressing with superb flavour.

1 garlic clove, minced

½ tsp salt

¼ tsp dry mustard

¼ tsp paprika

¼ tsp pepper

¼ cup flax oil
or
olive oil

2 tbsp vinegar

In a small bowl, whisk together all the ingredients. Serve over a nice green salad.

THOUSAND ISLAND DRESSING

A creamy classic.

½ lb soft
or
medium tofu

½ cup
ketchup

2 tbsp flax oil
or
olive oil

½ small onion, minced

1-2 cloves garlic, crushed

¼ tsp salt

3 tsp sweet pickle relish

3 tsp green olives, minced

6-8 sprigs parsley, chopped

In a blender or food processor, blend together the tofu, ketchup, oil, onions, garlic, and salt until smooth and creamy. Fold in the relish, olives, and parsley.

SWEET GINGER DRESSING

This sophisticated dressing lends its flavour to any vegetable it tops.

½ cup soft
or
medium tofu

2 tbsp
gomashio

2 tbsp sesame oil

¼ cup flax oil
or
olive oil

½ cup rice vinegar

2 tbsp maple syrup

1 tbsp brown rice miso

1 clove garlic

1½ tbsp fresh ginger, grated

½ tsp pepper

In a blender or food processor, blend together all the ingredients until smooth and creamy.

CAESAR SALAD DRESSING

Unique in flavour, this recipe is best when tossed with romaine lettuce and
croutons

½ tsp kelp powder

2 tbsp
Faux Parmesan cheese

tsp sweetener

2 tbsp lemon juice
or
vinegar

1 clove garlic, minced

1 tbsp flax oil
or
olive oil

¼ tsp salt

¼ tsp pepper

In a blender or food processor, blend together all the ingredients until smooth and creamy.

SARAH’S QUICK & EASY SESAME DRESSING

Quick, hurry, let’s eat! You can use this over a salad or in a noodle toss.

2 tbsp sesame oil

¼ cup Braggs

¼ cup rice vinegar

Whisk together all the ingredients.

JANA’S FAMOUS HERB DRESSING

Toss this dressing over
Jana’s Garden Kitchen Salad
and thank your lucky stars we introduced you to her! You could also use it as a topping for rice.

¼ cup flax oil

4 tbsp nutritional yeast flakes

¼ cup apple cider vinegar

2 tsp pepper

2 tbsp maple syrup

2 cloves garlic, chopped

2 tbsp fresh thyme, chopped

1 tbsp fresh rosemary, chopped

1 tsp fresh oregano, diced

1 tbsp of sesame seeds
or
gomashio

In a small bowl, whisk together all the ingredients. Stir well before serving.

NICE ’N’ SPICY AVOCADO DRESSING

This creamy dressing goes great over a fresh green salad or can be used as a veggie dip.

1 avocado

1 tbsp lemon juice
or
vinegar

½ cup mock
sour cream

cup flax oil
or
olive oil

1 clove garlic, minced

½ tsp chili powder

¼ tsp salt

¼ tsp Tabasco
or
other hot sauce

In a blender or food processor, blend together all the ingredients until smooth and creamy.
