Wrapping his arms around me, he nodded, “I understand, and
that is exactly what you must keep in mind. There must be a reason why he
didn’t tell you, it must be painful for him to think about it.”
I couldn’t hold my tears, and I whimpered into Jude’s arms,
“I love him so much, that my heart aches. I wish I could erase that tragedy, I
wish I could do something to make him happy, but there’s nothing. I feel
useless.” I whined.
Jude caressed my hair and pressed a long kiss to my cheek,
wiping off the tears, “That’s what I love about you Clea, you have so much
empathy, you care so much about the people you love, and it’s so noble.” He
squeezed me. “Trust me Clea, the man loves you, and you make him happy. Remember
what Simon told you about how much he’s changed since he met you, you’re doing
it, and you are anything but useless.”
As soothing as Jude’s words were, they did nothing to calm
my frenzy. I wanted to see him.
“Thank you Juju.” I said, wiping my tears.
“You’re welcome baby girl.”
I turned to wash my face again, and welcomed the calming
coolness of the fresh water.
“Can you do me a favor?” I asked him.
“Anything.”
“Can you tell the others that I’m feeling better, and that
I went to sleep? I need the rest.” I reached for the towel.
He nodded, his expression filled with both worry and
understanding.
“Are you sure you don’t want to have a drink, we can have
a walk on the beach if you want to.” Jude grabbed my head with his hands on
both sides and pressed a kiss to my nose.
“No, I’d rather go to sleep; tomorrow is going to be a
tiring day.” I walked to the door and turned the knob.
“Okay. Good night sweetie.”
“Good night Juju.” I turned the door of the guest bedroom,
and waved at him.
The girls were sound asleep, and I felt the urge to climb
next to them and seek some comfort in theirs. I pulled my phone from my back
pocket, and put it on silent. I slipped into my pajamas, texted Landon, and
climbed under the sheets.
My head twirled with images of an angry Landon, trying to
mourn the loss of his mother, and unable to. It felt as if I peeked further
into the man I loved, as if I understood his need for control and domination.
He was always so keen on protecting me, never letting me leave the campus on my
own, when I had late classes. He hated cabs, and fast-paced drives. He didn’t
stop commenting on Alec’s reckless driving, and calling him during the ride to
Lake George, asking him to slow down.
He was a passionate person, generous and caring. He was well
educated, and well mannered. His mother must’ve been an exceptional one. Uncle
Robert was very distinguished, and elegant. I had no doubt that Landon must’ve
had a happy childhood. This wasn’t another case of Oedipus syndrome. It was
related to his grief, or the lack of it. Simon too had a hard time; I knew the
reason behind his breakdown and addiction.
I wished Landon were next to me, so I could bury my head
in his scent, and give him some thoughtless moments. Just bliss, and intimacy,
for us to build upon and grew in.
My eyes were getting heavy, I was barely conscious of
Aurelia’s arm spreading around my waist when she mumbled something in her
sleep, and I drifted off in the arms of Morpheus.
The light cold sea breeze pulled me out of a deep sleep,
and I shuffled in the bed, reaching for the warmth of my quilt. I tried to
force my unwilling eyes to open, still dazed from my dream. Landon’s musky
scent was haunting me; I could picture his beautiful, perfect smile, as if he
was hovering over me. I moved my hand up and brushed it against his freshly
shaved cheek. It was as if I could feel him; the sensation was surreal.
I blinked in my foggy state, and smiled at his reflection.
“Baby, what are you doing back in New York?”
I blinked rapidly again, and jerked up in my bed, “New
York.,” I exclaimed, wriggling back around.
His smile broadened, “Miss me?”
I took a harsh breath, wondering whether I was
hallucinating, or having a dream within a dream.
Landon leaned down to remove his shoes, pulled me to rest
my head on his chest, and nuzzled in my hair. I lay on his chest with my eyes
closed for a long time, grasping his legs with mine, I held on to him.
When he spoke again, it felt like several hours later,
“Baby?”
I refused to open my eyes, fearing that it might be dream,
I wished for him to be next to me for countless times, even in my dreams, “Are
you really here?”
His delightful chuckle vibrated through my cheek.
“If you are, then you better kiss me. If not, then don’t
wake me up.”
He did not move, for the longest time I kept squeezing my
eyes forcing myself to get back to sleep. He gently shifted me on my back and
lay over me. I missed the feel of his weight and buried my nose in his neck.
Landon brushed his lips against my earlobe, sending a jolt
of electricity through my body. He spread feathery kisses along my cheek,
pulling my hair, and requesting access to my neck.
He stopped and fixated me with a delighted, dark gaze,
“You take my breath away, baby.” He said, seizing my mouth with hungry lushes.
I pushed my fingers between silky strands and guided him to deepen our kiss.
His left hand cupped my face, while he grabbed my hair
forcefully with the other one, extracting a loud moan inside his mouth. He
groaned. I moved my hand free hand between us, without cutting our kiss and
reached for his belt.
He groaned again, circling his hips and making me ache
harder for him. I struggled with his belt, and pulled it until I heard a snap.
“Take me, now.” I begged, “I need you baby.”
Landon moved from on top of me, and strode to the door. I
stared at him.
He locked the door, and rounded back to me. He climbed on
the bed and settled between my thighs. He leaned down, to cup my breasts. I
shuffled reflexively and took off my top, exposing my naked skin. The breeze
hardened my already stiff nipples; Landon bent down and circled his velvety
tongue around one, while his thumb drew leisurely around the other one. I
stifled a loud moan; I had missed the touch of his hand against my hot skin. I
was burning for him.
“Please Landon; I need you, now, just this once.” I
couldn’t express how much I needed him. I wanted to comfort him, but mostly, I
was seeking my comfort in him.
He pulled my bottom lip and bit it. I moaned.
“Please, please, I need you.” I whimpered.
Landon moved up, and in one swift move, he dragged my
panties along with my pant, and threw them on the floor. I curled my fingers
around his shirt and pulled myself up to unzip his pants. I slid my hand under
his silk boxers, pulled his thick cock, and wrapped my palm around it, stroking
him relentlessly. He raised his chin up, and shut his eyes close.
“Look at me baby.” I kept moving my palm up and down.
He bit his bottom lip and looked down at me.
“I’m yours, I love you.”
It was all it took for him, to push my head against the
pillow; he hovered over me and sealed our lips. After a beat, he sank inside
me, groaning inside my mouth.
“Oh baby, I missed you so much.” He grumbled with a hard
thrust.
“Don’t move.” I wrapped my legs around his waist and
stilled him by grasping the back of his ass with my hands.
I needed the connection. I needed the completion. But most
of all, I needed him to understand how much I was craving him, how much I
wanted him and that I finally understood what he meant. I knew what we had was
unique, as crazy and confusing as it was, our lovemaking was the sum of the
feelings we had towards each other.
He stilled, giving me my fill of him. I clenched
reflexively, tightening my core around him, extracting several grumbles and
groans.
“Only for you.” I said, circling in a slow motion.
“Oh baby, you are all I need. Only for you Clea.” He
started moving again, moving in turn, pushing, and circling his hips then
pushing further, reaching my core.
He moved in a slow pace, picking up his rhythm steadily.
He leaned down and gripped one nipple between his teeth, thrusting
relentlessly, leaving only the tip of his erection for short seconds.
My core tightened as I felt my climax approaching.
Landon stilled, earning a whiny protest.
“Hold it baby, it’s been too long, I want us to come
together.” He growled, still unmoving.
“I don’t think I can.”
“Yes, yes you can.” He moved to my mouth and sucked my
tongue.
He started moving again, taking up a fast pace. He held my
gaze, fixing with a dark gray of sea. I moved my hand to wipe a sweat from his
temple, and cupped his face.
His eyes never left mine, maintaining a fierce connection,
I felt my orgasm creeping on my inside and possessing me; I couldn’t hold it
any longer.
“Come for me baby.” He ordered gruffly, and with two more thrusts,
I came undone, his groan met my loud moans in a symphony of pure ecstasy and
pleasure.
Landon lay over me, his face buried in my neck, our chests
heaving in a perfect synch. Each hot breath against my skin was like a jolt of
electricity. He was still hard inside me. Landon Davis had a unique libido, but
as soon as my breathing calmed I was more than willing to do it again.
A knock came to the door and I heard Jude’s voice.
“You two better get dressed; Nana is coming up to check on
you.”
I jolted up, pushing Landon and sending his ass to the
floor. I freaked out.
“Bathroom.” I signaled for him to go through the common
door at the other end of the room.
He frowned at me, pushing to his feet, “What the fuck?” He
grumbled.
“In the bathroom, now.” I raced to my suitcase and grabbed
my silk robe.
“What does she think we do? Kiss and cuddle? You’re moving
in with me for god sake.” He walked to the end of the room.
I glared at him, “So you’re using me for your sexual
pleasure? That’s why you want me to move in with you?”
He shook his head, “If memory serves, you’re the one who
just used me.” He winked at me, and turned the knob.
I sent one of the minions to hit him on the head, but it
went right passed him.
“I hope you’re better at cleaning then you are at aiming.”
He peered at me and disappeared into the bathroom.
Another minion hit the door and he opened it again, “You
see what I mean? Your reflexes suck baby.”
“You suck!” I whispered loudly.
“Clea, are you awake?” Nana’s voice came from behind the
door.
I slipped my robe and pushed Landon’ shoes further under
the bed, “Yes Nana, I’ll be right sown with you.”
“Well, open the door; don’t let me standing out here.”
I scanned the room for any other sign of Landon and strode
to let her inside.
“Good morning ma chérie.” She cupped my face to kiss me.
“Good morning Nana.”
“Are you feeling better?” She inquired moving to open the
other two windows.
“Yes Nana, much better.”
She turned to me, holding her Dame posture in her Chanel
dress, well groomed and radiant, “Well, I made you a blueberry pie anyway. I
thought that after last night, you might need some comfort.”
I stared at the bathroom door, hoping that Landon walked
out from the other door.
“Thank you Nana, I’ll just take a shower and join you for breakfast,”
I offered with a weak smile.
She extended her hand to me, and pulled me to sit with her
on the couch, “You have such a big heart, just like Daniel.” She pushed my hair
between my ears, “Tell me if I’m wrong, but yesterday, it seemed to me like you
weren’t aware of the event of Lily Davis’ passing.”
I nodded, focused on the door and what lay behind it.
She smiled to me, with an expression that held nothing but
love and compassion, “I’m sure it was hard for you to imagine what the man you
love has been through, and I’m sure you are contributing into his present
happiness, so don’t be sad about it, and try to offer him happier memories.
You’re the only one who can do it.”
I nodded helplessly, suddenly taken by last night’s
emotions, “That is what I’m planning on doing.” I answered honestly.
“Good, I didn’t expect anything else. We raised you well.”
She pulled me for a kiss, pushed to her feet, and walked through the door.
“We’re waiting for you downstairs, don’t be late, and
don’t forget Landon’ shoes.” She shut the door.
I covered my face with my hands and pulled my legs up.
Landon walked back inside the room.
Deflating, I sank my back against the cushions.
For a moment, he stood still and immovable, “You didn’t
know?” His voice was a bare whisper.
I shook my head no. His stone posture made my heart ache.
“I’m so sorry.”
He opened his arms for me, “Come here.” He said.
I ran to him and stilled my cheek against his chest.
“You have nothing to be sorry about baby; it’s not your
fault.” He nuzzled in my hair and breathed out.
“I know, but if I knew,” I shrugged, “I don’t know, I
might’ve been less defying with your obsession about my safety, I would’ve been
more understanding, or comforting.”
He grabbed my arms from both side and gazed down at me.
God, he was so beautiful, so consuming.
“Caring about your safety has nothing to do with what
happened to my mother. I do it because you’re important to me; you mean the
world to me.”
I looked down at my feet, felling self-conscious for
comparing myself to his mother. He cupped my chin and brought me at eye level
with him.
