Hale smiled the soft smile of a man enjoying watching a
woman be sexually gratified. It was humorless but full of desire and
anticipation. It was a smile of carnal fulfillment about to happen. Leah
watched him until she had to close her eyes and whimper. The pressure of two
impossibly erect members filling her caused her to feel dizzy from the
stimulation.

“Hale,” she whispered, feeling him continue to press into
her. His pelvis bumped against her ass and she knew he was completely inside
her. Both of them, filling her, fulfilling her. He began making slow, shallow
thrusts into her ass, moving her and making the hard length in her pussy rub
and twitch then surge with the added stimulation.

Leah raised her head and cried out, feeling like a wolf
howling at the moon. The two men within her began to rock, moving in perfect
unison to fill her, release her, then fill her again. The Hales moved perfectly
to massage her erogenous zones, sending Leah into a fantastic spiral of
incomparable pleasure.

“Perfect,” she whispered.

Feeling two hands on her breasts, Leah looked down at Hale
and returned his desire-filled smile. He brushed his fingers across her skin
then squeezed down gently on her nipples. Leah moaned in ecstasy as the
sensation of just that small act seemed to amplify everything else. He squeezed
down harder.

“Don’t stop!” Leah screamed. She bore down over her lovers,
feeling their flesh buried in her flesh more acutely than anything before in
her life. It was pleasure. It was pain. It was a communion with a side of
herself that she’d never known, a side that had been given birth to at that
very moment.
Freedom.

“Do it,” Leah breathed. “I feel you…every bit of you. Take
me hard.”

“As you wish,” came a whispered reply. “You’re a goddess.”

“You feel like warm honey,” came a soft voice from behind
her. “So easy to love you…fuck you…make you come like you deserve to come.”

“Then do it,” Leah moaned. “Make me come. Hard and long,
screaming your name.”

Leah was breathless. It was all she could do to speak the
words before the grip of a legendary orgasm took hold of her. She screamed and
cried as the most incredible pleasure seized her, a rapture for which she had
no words. Then the Hales exploded inside her like the high tide coming in at
top speed. Their seed rushed into her, filling her, prolonging the pleasure
into an unbelievably long spell of wave after wave of exhilaration.

Leah trembled and panted as the experience came to an end.
The Hales began to pull out of her slowly, leaving her feeling as though she
were wading in a puddle of her own bliss, there on the floor on all fours.

“Way to rally the team,” Hale said from beneath her. Leah
tried to laugh. “You really know how to make people work together.”

Leah shook her head and smiled. “It was easy. We just had to
keep our eyes on the goal.”

* * * * *

It was Monday and Leah unexpectedly had the day off. It had
been just over three weeks since her last visit to Mayfaire’s when she
eavesdropped on the stock boys. She sat outside of the store in her car,
debating about whether it was too early to go back in and look for Scott. She
didn’t even know if he’d be there, much less be out on the floor helping
customers. He’d probably be in the office helping train the new manager.

“You’ll never know if you don’t go look,” Leah said to
herself. She adjusted down the rear-view mirror and looked at herself.
You
look like a million bucks
. Leah smiled. She did look pretty good that day.
Her weight was down, her spirits were up and thanks to Hale and his hundred and
one lessons, she was in control and ready to take on the world. Or maybe ready
to go talk to the one guy she couldn’t get out of her head, sexually satisfied
or not. There was only one person who could fill this void.

Leah got out of her car, straightened her coat and skirt and
walked toward the front door. Her new boots clicked against the concrete,
making her feel like walking tall and proud.
So much for incognito.

Inside the store, Leah grabbed her small plastic basket and
began perusing the bakery items. She steered away from the dangerous cinnamon
rolls and opted for a loaf of whole wheat bread, then glanced around for Scott.
No Scott.
Damn it
.

Leah headed for the produce department, remembering that was
where she first saw him. Maybe he would be there again. She took her time
picking out vegetables for a stir-fry, loitering over the onions and hanging
out while she decided on a bunch of bok choy. No Scott.

Leah took herself on a tour of the store, leaving no corner
undiscovered. Still nothing. Finally, deflated, she turned to the front of the
store and headed for the checkout line. That’s when she saw him. He was talking
to another man in a shirt and tie. They were discussing something. He didn’t
look like a customer.
Maybe the new manager?

Scott turned and indicated something on the wall. Leah
didn’t care what it was. All she could envision was that shirt anywhere but on
his body, that torso twisting over her as he…

“Excuse me,” came a voice from behind Leah. She turned and
realized she was standing in the middle of the aisle, blocking it.

“Oh, I’m sorry,” she said. “My apologies. Is there anything
I can help you with?”

Immediately Leah felt like a moron. She felt her cheeks turn
crimson.
You’re not at work, dumbass!

“Uh, no,” the woman said. “Thanks.”

The customer pushed her cart on past Leah while Leah screwed
up her face and wanted to hit herself on the forehead. When she turned back to
the direction she’d seen Scott, she saw that they were headed her way. She
panicked.

Leah turned and trucked down the aisle at warp speed, then
turned the corner and hid in the aisle next to it.
What are you doing?
she screamed at herself.
What are you here for?

Leah fled, running up the aisle, her boots clacking on the
slick floor like bombs going off in her ears. That’s when her ankle decided to
give out and she went tumbling to the floor.

The grocery store floor was colder than she’d imagined it
would be. She’d never lain on one before. Leah kept her eyes shut, hoping that
it was all just a bad dream and when she opened them she’d be safely back home
with her bok choy, her schoolbooks and the box.

“Good Lord,” a voice said. “Are you okay, miss?”

“Can you hear me? Are you conscious?”

The second voice was Scott.
Open your eyes
, Leah
commanded herself.
Open them
. Her body refused.
Open them or they’re
going to call the ambulance.

The fear of the hospital was enough. Leah opened her eyes
slowly. At first all she could see were the rafters and fluorescent lights
illuminating the ceiling above her. Then someone moved into her field of
vision.
An angel?
No, but close. Scott. He was leaning over her, the
look of concern on his face enough to keep Leah warm for many nights to come.
She closed her eyes again.

“No, no,” he said. “Stay with me.”

Leah reveled within herself.
Stay with me
. She opened
her eyes again.

“That’s my girl. Are you okay? What’s your name?”

“Your girl,” she whispered. “Yes. Leah.”

“Leah,” he said, perhaps with less amorousness than Leah
imagined but it was beautiful enough to hear him say her name. “Can you sit up,
Leah?”

Leah started to lift herself then felt something tugging on
her hair. She went back down to the floor and looked to her right. A bag of
carrots was lying on her hair. Scott reached up and moved them, then said,
“Sorry. Try again.”

Leah sat up slowly, with Scott’s hands on her arms helping
her up. As she righted herself their eyes met and all of the humiliation she
felt faded away.

“Scott,” she whispered.

“Yes. I’m Scott. Are you okay, Leah?”

Leah nodded slowly, not wanting to break the connection. The
man she’d seen talking with Scott knelt down next to her and said, “Let us help
you up. Can we get you anything?”

Reluctantly Leah let the men help her up off the floor. Her
groceries were strewn across the aisle, some no longer in edible condition. She
looked down at them and sighed. So much for the quick, quiet getaway.

“Wow. I know how to get some attention, huh?”

Scott smiled and laughed softly. Leah closed her eyes at the
beautiful sound.

“Do you need us to call a doctor?” His genuine concern was clear.
Leah smiled and thought about cracking a joke about a lawyer but considered how
she would feel in a similar situation.

“I’m fine. Just mortified.”

Now that the moment was broken with Scott, Leah took the
time to get embarrassed. She looked down at her scattered produce again and
felt the heat creeping up her neck and into her cheeks.
Way to go
, she
thought.
For a nickname he can call you Grace.

Leah bent down to pick up her basket and was quickly stopped
by the manager. “No, no. Don’t you worry, we’ll take care of it.”

“Is there somewhere I can sit down for a minute?” Leah
asked.

“Absolutely,” Scott said. “Come this way.”

Leah relished the way Scott’s hands felt on her arm and the
small of her back as he walked with her over to the pharmacy. She didn’t know
if he felt it too but the sensation of his skin against hers as he clasped her
hand seemed to sparkle. Scott sat her down in the waiting area of the pharmacy
and sat down next to her.

“Are you sure you’re okay?” he asked again.

Leah smiled. “Yes, absolutely. I just need to rest a
second.”
And get to know you.

“I understand. Have I seen you in here before? You look
familiar.”

Leah’s heart skipped a beat. She thought back to the way
he’d watched her walk out of the store the night she first saw him. Finally she
remembered to nod. “Yes. I’ve been in here a time or two before. I’ve seen
you.”

Leah looked down and saw that he was still holding her hand.
Scott looked down too and quickly released her, then ran his fingers through
his hair nervously.

“Let me give you my card,” he said. “Just in case you need
anything.”

How about dinner?

“Thank you.”

Scott reached into his pocket and pulled out a business
card, then handed it to Leah. She took it, feeling that same warm spark as when
she took her change from him that first night. Leah held it in her hand like it
was more important than the answer to the meaning of life.

“How long will you be here?” she asked.

“I’ll be here until about six.”

“No, I mean…” Leah trailed off, wondering how much to say.
She didn’t want Scott to think she was a psycho stalker even if she was sort of
acting like one. “Never mind.”

“I’ll be here tomorrow too,” he said. Leah smiled.

“Miss,” the other manager said, walking toward them. “I’ve
replaced all of your groceries. Please take a look and see if these are okay
with you.”

He put the basket down next to her. Leah looked over and
glanced at the replacements. She looked back at Scott and said, “Perfect.”

“On the house,” the manager said. “Just come back and see us
soon.”

Leah nodded, still not looking back at the other man. She
met Scott’s blue eyes again.

“Can I walk you to your car?” he asked.

Leah started to nod, then thought of how the aged Honda
would look. Not too classy. She loved it because it was hers and it had doors
but doubted that it would impress anyone else.

“No,” she said. “I’ll be fine.”

“I insist.”

Twist my arm
, Leah thought. While the other manager
bagged Leah’s now-complimentary groceries, Scott walked slowly toward the front
door with her.

“How long have you lived in Wichita?” he asked her.

“All my life,” she with a heavy sigh.

Scott laughed. “Everyone says it that way. It’s really not
so bad.”

“You must not be from here.”

“No and I’m still not. I actually live close to Kansas City.
I’m just down here helping out.”

Leah nodded, disappointed.
He doesn’t live here
.

“I’m sure you do a great job, especially if you treat all
customers like you treat me.”

“No, no,” Scott shook his head, then looked rather
embarrassed. “I mean…we try to make people feel special.”

“Mission accomplished,” Leah said as they arrived at the
front door. The other manager came running up with her bag and said, “Here you
are, miss. Again, please call us if you need anything.”

“Thanks,” Leah said. Scott grabbed the bags from the manager
before Leah could even reach out. He walked out to her car with her, probably
too closely for an area manager to be to a customer but it was all Leah could
do not to grab him and drag him even nearer.

“Here it is.” Leah indicated the Civic. “My Porsche.”

Scott laughed. “I used to have one of those. They last
forever.”

“Obviously. Who knows, this one might have been yours.”

The passenger-side door squeaked embarrassingly loud as Leah
opened it for Scott to deposit the bags. She winced. He didn’t seem to notice.
He put everything securely inside and shut the door, then turned to Leah.

“Like I said, please call if you need anything…anything at
all. And I’ll be here tomorrow if you feel so inclined to stop by.”

I’m inclined
.

Leah drove out of the parking lot, leaving Scott behind. She
felt like she was leaving herself behind.

The next day Leah put Hale’s teamwork lesson into action,
pairing up employees to work together on various projects. She deliberately
chose people who she already knew worked well together and then gradually would
shift the projects and shift the work so that everyone could partner up and do
any job. Cross-training and team-building all in one. Leah was proud of
herself. She also got a big pat on the back from Bob.
