"You
are doing very well. We're about half done now," Cleve finally
announced. "Are you learning your lesson, Pebbles?"

"Yes!
Oh, Cleve, please! No more, honey! I'm so sorry... and I hurt so much
now. Please, let this be enough? Please..." she hated herself for
begging. "I've tried so hard to stay in place, but I don't know how much
longer I can do it. I feel like you lit a torch and held it to me!"

Cleve
was careful not to let her see him smile. Yes, her bottom was red, but it
was the deliberateness of the spanking that was affecting her more than the
actual swats. She had time to feel each one before the next one
landed. He was careful to let her anticipate where the next spank would
land and when it did, it burned because she'd already convinced herself that it
would. "I'm only using my hand for this spanking, Pebbles. This is
personal and my palm is burning as much as your pretty butt is. You think
about what could have happened to you that night. You think about it and

Somehow
Kelsey managed to get through the spanking. It hurt beyond what she
thought she could tolerate and sitting down over the next few days would be
nearly impossible without a pillow to offer relief. She begged and
pleaded for Cleve to stop the punishment, but he ignored those pleas in favor
of spanking a bit harder and warning her to lie still. She had to put a

Kelsey's tears of remorse were genuine, as were her tears of relief when he

Cleve

helped him keep from hurting her... other than the spanking, and he felt no guilt

remind him of how close he came to losing her... When he picked her up in
his arms and carried her upstairs they both knew the time was right to make
love.

Due to
their ages, Kelsey and Cleve decided not to postpone having children once they
were married. Kelsey confided in Cleve and her doctor about losing her
baby ten years earlier and her fears of miscarriage. The doctor ran some
tests and told them that he was fairly certain the miscarriage was stress
related and Cleve promised her that he would help her keep her stress under
control.

Kelsey
knew exactly how he would do that, too, and wondered how a spanking helped her
stay calm and in control of her emotions. Cleve certainly didn't permit
her irritable moods to last long, even when they were building a new home to
live in.

When
Pebbles came to him and finally admitted she was pregnant, Cleve let out a war
hoop heard all over the station house and Kelsey had to laugh with joy.
Of course, he quickly laid down the law with all sorts of rules for taking care
of herself and their child and threatened all sorts of spankings for breaking
them, which he knew he would never do right now. Kelsey simply put her
arms around him and let him love her and promised he wouldn't be needing to
spank her. She was no longer irritable all the time now that she was
truly loved.

(A few
months later Cleve and Kelsey made a trip to the hospital together and gave
birth to a beautiful baby boy who appeared perfect in every way to his parents,
and was a wonderful big brother to his three younger siblings.)
