Bria shuddered. "I don't want a boyfriend."
Kenda appeared in front of the kitchen window, grinning in at them. "You ladies coming outside or what? Food is ready, we're waiting."
"We're coming," Jaden said.
She followed her three friends out into the sunlight, wondering what would happen next. But no matter what it was, she had Kenda. Not only that. But she'd proven to herself that she was strong enough to face anything. Even evil wizards.

Hayley stood on her balcony, smiling at the memory of the cookout they'd had this afternoon. It had been fun. And Jaden looked like a weight had been lifted off of her. She was happy for Jaden and Kenda, but she couldn't help it. She was jealous. When would her peace come?
She yawned and stretched, inhaled the wonderful aroma of lavender drifting outside from her loft. Well, at least she'd have peaceful dreams. That was something.
She was turning to walk inside when she saw something out the corner of her eye. A figure, dressed all in white, was standing on the beach under a light and staring up at her. Smiling.
She looked at him for a second, just a second, before rushing into her loft and locking the doors.
Prodigy. Prodigy had been down on the beach, watching her.
Dear God, she was next.
