I’m going to
make you mine, Jax. Make it so you won’t want any other man
tonight,” he whispered in a guttural voice that whispered over her
senses like sexy tickles.

Desire raged through her
but somewhere deep inside her mind, the idea formed that they had
no protection. She wasn’t on the pill. He didn’t have a
condom.

She should tell him to
stop.

She closed her eyes as
his mouth melted over hers and all thoughts of caution spiraled
away. Her hands slid over his chest again. Beneath her fingertips,
his heart pounded like crazy. Quickly she found his nipples, and
squeezed and twisted until he was shuddering.

His demanding lips made
love to her mouth. His hands caressed her breasts and she jerked
when his cockhead pressed into her vagina.

He thrust into her hard,
fast and to the hilt.

A tremor shook
her.

Mercy! Such bigness! His
cock was smooth, hot and utterly endless. Impossibly
deep.

Her pussy muscles
clenched and struggled to accommodate his stiff shaft. Did he know
she hadn’t had sex with a guy since she’d last been with him? Did
he know that she was contemplating a ménage? Did he know that she
still loved him with all her heart?

She cried into his mouth
when he withdrew. Gasped as he thrust into her again. Her inner
muscles coiled around him and tightened.

He ripped his mouth from
hers, growled, and grabbed her hips. He held her tight as he
withdrew and then quickly plunged his thick penis into her again.
And again. The power of his thrusts shocked her. Aroused her and
sent more items plunging to the floor.

Her senses overloaded and
she exploded.

As she cried out, he rode
her hard. His strokes into her were fierce and demanding. She
twisted against each furious impalement. Cried into his mouth and
dug her nails into his shoulders as she held onto him and the
pleasure.

It was agony. It was
beautiful.

They both had no control.
They were like animals in heat. Him thrusting like a madman. Her
writhing and accepting.

Their instincts overrode
everything. It was as if she understood he needed to brand her, to
make her remember how good it had been between them. It was as if
he knew she needed that reminder.

She didn’t know when they
broke their kiss, but she was crying out shamelessly, panting and
holding him as the tremors shattered her.

Then he went rigid, his
hard flesh locked inside her and her pussy filled with his warm
seed as he came. She held onto him for dear life. Held on tight,
because she never wanted to let go of him.

It was over too soon. She
wanted more. Another orgasm. But he was withdrawing from her.
Physically and emotionally.

Her heart clenched as
regret twisted his face.

This
shouldn’t have happened,” he whispered. She watched him pull up his
underwear. His shaft disappeared. His jeans were zipped. He was
shaking his head. His mouth was a tight grimace.

I…I think
you’d better go,” she said. She trembled as she slid off the table.
Her legs almost buckled when her feet hit the floor. She lifted her
underwear and tried to straighten her dress.

Oh God, what had they
done? Why had she just had unprotected sex with a man who didn’t
want her anymore?

He glared at her in
warning, as he continued to shake his head.

This can’t
happen again, Jax.”

Consider it
for old time’s sake,” she said, trying to be aloof. Trying to
pretend what he’d just said didn’t strike a blade into her heart.
But the shakiness in her voice was quite evident.

She wanted to see the
guilt disappear from his face. When it didn’t, her heart
broke.

I’m sincerely
sorry, Jaxie. I shouldn’t have lost control like that.”

He walked toward the door
and hesitated.

Her hopes soared. Had he
changed his mind? Was he going to tell her that he’d lost control
because he still wanted her?

When he said nothing and
left, she could hold back her tears no longer.

Lifting the cell phone
he’d brought, she flung it at the door.

Chapter Four

Ewan winced as something
hit the door right behind him. Music from the front of the club had
done a good job in covering up what had just happened in Jaxie’s
office and thankfully, no one was in the hallway, or he’d have some
serious explaining to do.

Right now, he wasn’t in
the mood for talk. Shock snapped along his nerves as he quickly
left the club. The rain poured over him in buckets as he dashed
across the parking lot and then got into his truck.

Man! He’d just had wild
sex with Jaxie.

It was
insane.
He
was
insane. But she’d been so beautiful. So attractive. So vulnerable.
Not to mention her teasing him about getting herself a well-hung
stranger for the night had rocked his world.

Normally, he
wasn’t the jealous type. There had never been a need to be jealous.
He’d always trusted her. Always loved her.
Still
loved her.

He swallowed at the
realization. He still loved Jaxie. Probably always would. He hadn’t
been with another woman since he’d hooked up with Jaxie. Hadn’t
been with another woman after leaving her.

Damn, Jaxie had crawled
under his skin and stayed there from the moment he’d met her. She’d
never leave his soul. Maybe he should just take her the way she
was. She wouldn’t change. She was a career girl. How could he take
that security away from her? She’d always said she didn’t want a
family…

Sudden realization made
his gut twist in one hell of an unkind way.

Shit. He hadn’t used
protection. She’d never been on the pill because it didn’t agree
with her.

He shook his head and
slammed the key into the ignition. He’d just made everything
worse.

You and Ewan
did what last night?” Rachel gasped in disbelief.

Shhh, someone
will hear.” Jaxie gazed around the busy restaurant where she and
Rachel were having a quick lunch. Thankfully, no one was paying too
much attention to Rachel’s sudden outburst.

We had an
argument and then we had unprotected sex,” she stated
calmly.

Until a few seconds ago,
she’d had every intention of telling Rachel off for setting up last
night’s meeting between Ewan and herself. But Rachel had been
dabbing some tissue at her eyes as Jaxie had entered the
restaurant. Instinctively, she knew Rachel was upset about her dad.
Guilt did that. Ripped apart a person one layer at a time. When
Rachel had seen her approaching, the tissue had quickly disappeared
into Rachel’s purse and that familiar smile that Jaxie loved
slipped back on her face. Now was not the time to chastise Rachel,
so Jaxie had decided to drop the bomb on her in the hopes it would
cheer her up knowing that Ewan was still interested in her,
sexually anyway.

But how?
Why?”

Jaxie shrugged and gazed
at the menu. Suddenly she was starving and everything on the menu
looked good.

Come on,
Jaxie. You are teasing me, right? You’re getting back at me for
getting him over to the club, right?”

Jaxie kept her gaze glued
to the menu.

Nope, not
kidding. It was just like old times. Only wilder.”

So, I guess
your ménage is off the bucket list?” Was that a hopeful note in
Rachel’s voice? Is that why her friend had gotten Ewan to come
over? Because she didn’t want her to indulge in one of her most
intimate fantasies?

No. It’s
still on.” More now than ever. Especially with Ewan telling her
that they couldn’t be together again.

Oh, well,
then that means I can still keep planning.” Rachel
giggled.

Jaxie frowned at Rachel’s
sudden excitement. What in the world was with Rachel? First, she
set her up to meet Ewan, and then she’s still excited about Jaxie
participating in the ménage.

Let’s eat, I
am suddenly starving,” Rachel said as she picked up her
menu.

Hmm, interesting. Why did
she suddenly get the feeling Rachel was up to something
again?

Hey Ewan!
Look what I found in my email. We should go because you, my friend,
need to get laid,” Royce said as he slapped a gray sheet of paper
onto the table Ewan was sitting at. He’d just completed a report
concerning a rescue operation they’d just returned from and he was
looking forward to going home and getting a good night’s sleep. But
that idea was blown the instant he saw the fancy lettering on the
paper.

The Key Club
is throwing a Masquerade Ménage Ball this Saturday night. Prizes
for best costumes. Dirty dancing. Naughty games. And of course,
your chance at experiencing the ménage of your dreams. For members
only.

Beneath the words was a
photo of two men seductively embracing a woman who stood between
them. Their faces were hidden behind half-face masquerade masks.
The woman wore a sexy silver sequined dress that hugged her form to
a t. A dress that seemed oddly familiar. Where had he seen that
dress before?

He shrugged it off and
kept staring at the paper.

Yeah, he wouldn’t mind
getting a little relief with a warm and willing woman who he didn’t
know.

Guilt at betraying Jaxie
made him hesitate.

I can’t,” he
replied

Why the hell
not? It’s not like you’re dating anyone or anything.”

Ewan could feel Royce’s
stare drilling into him, but he kept his gaze to the
flyer.

It wouldn’t
be right.” Especially after what had happened a few nights ago
between them.

Jaxie won’t
be there, if that’s what you’re afraid of.”

Ewan’s fingers tightened
on his pen. Something bad must have happened to her if she wasn’t
going to be at her pride and joy, her business. He waited
impatiently for Royce to elaborate, but he remained
silent.

Anxiety for her
well-being gripped him. She’d been all right the other night when
they were fucking each other’s brains out in the office. Yet, maybe
she’d fallen ill?

Damn
.

Is she sick?”
he finally asked.

Royce shrugged and
frowned. “Not that I know of.”

Why won’t she
be there?”

According to
Rachel, Jaxie is going out of town on business, so Rachel’s taking
over the club’s duties for that weekend.”

Business.
That
sounded
like
his Jaxie. Yet at the mention of Rachel, Ewan grinned inwardly.
This conversation was beginning to sound like another setup just
like the other night. Couldn’t Rachel and Royce come up with a
better excuse than Jaxie not being there? Maybe because he’d fallen
for it once, they figured he would fall for it again?

He gazed at the picture
of the masked woman again.

Hmm, he could play at
this game too.

Okay, let’s
do it. I wouldn’t mind losing myself in a hot woman in a
threesome.”

From the corner of his
eye, he noted Royce’s mouth drop open with surprise.

Well, that
was easy,” Royce muttered.

Consider
yourself lucky for catching me in a good mood. Now all we need to
figure out is what we’re going to the party dressed as.”

He was going
to enjoy playing Royce and Rachel for as long as he could. He was
going to enjoy it
a lot.

Masquerade
Ménage Ball Rules

1. Anyone
wearing a mask must not speak.

2. Let’s keep
identities secret until you are in your assigned rooms.

3. What you
do behind closed doors must be consensual.

Ewan grinned at the
feminine handwriting written in white chalk on the small chalkboard
set on a stand right inside the front entrance to the Key Club. He
recognized the handwriting as that belonging to Jaxie. Even with
her “being out of town” on business, she still had to leave her
mark for him to see.

Royce slapped Ewan on his
bare back and he grimaced at the pain.

Damn! That
hurt!

Come on,
let’s go check things out,” Royce said.

Ewan nodded and followed
Royce as he meandered through the throng of masked club members
milling about with drinks. A moment later, they reached the bar
area. None of the stools were available, so they stood in the short
line up waiting for their turn. While they waited, he looked around
the room and nodded in approval.

On the way over to the
club, Royce had filled him in that Rachel was in charge of dressing
up the Key Club for tonight’s event. He had to admit she’d done a
great job. She’d tastefully decorated in silver, white and pale
blue.
