Ambrosia’s back arched, the force carrying her away from his body. He tightened his grip. “Evan. Luke.” Their names fell from her lips in a garbled mess. “So… sorry.” Her eyelids fluttered but failed to reveal the beautiful gems he loved so much.

“All I care about right now is seeing those beautiful eyes, baby. Come on…”

“And hearing your sweet voice.” Luke’s gaze connected with Evan’s. “She’s the one, Ev.”

“Did you ever doubt it?” Evan’s fingers connected with Luke’s, his other splayed across the tender flesh of her stomach. They both kneeled. Through their connection the strength of their wolves amplified and fed into her. He swallowed the waves of nausea and continued to push more power to her, Luke doing the same.

“Doubt it, no, but I question the
why
behind staying away, every damn day. That note she left? We should have shredded it and claimed her as ours that same day. Even if we had to kick in the doors to her fancy High Council chambers to get to her.”

They’d both known the minute she landed in their town fresh out of college she’d be their mate. Their feelings were confirmed way before the moment he first had her body wrapped around his cock and Luke claiming her from behind. All three were one and from the years of flirting and dancing around one another, he knew without a doubt Ambrosia felt the same connection they did. They had made a mistake in letting her slip away from them once. He hugged her close and pressed his lips close to her ear. If they were lucky enough for another chance…

“Open your beautiful eyes, baby. Give us some hope you’re not beyond our reach.”

Evan brushed his lips along her soft lips and pulled her deeper into his embrace. “You’re right. The second we felt the bond, we should have tried harder to show her the mistake behind denying it, Luke…” His voice hardened. “Fuck her Council and outdated laws. They don’t mean a damn thing to me or you and you know we all belong together. So does she.”

“I’m with you, brother.”

“You saw the same damn thing I did that night. The way she reacted to our lovemaking. The way our wolves… dammit, we should have known.” Evan gritted his teeth and his words cut off on a curse. “I can’t let her go again if I tried, Luke. I know you feel it too.”

Evan’s gaze travelled over her normally golden skin that now looked ashen, her chest barely rising. Still so beautiful. A soft glimmer of hope seeped past the barrier of fear that smothered him. Please, God, don’t let them be too late.

****

So quiet. Everything seemed to fade away into the background and the only thing she could feel, or rather sense, was the moonlight as it hit her face. Beneath the veil of magick her body lay limp, but her mind and senses were her own. Pulses of power from her circle and the lay lines crawled along her nerves, melded a bond with her magick, and acted like an amplifier to the weak connection she held with her shifters.

They were right. The bond was still there. With her thoughts clear she could sense it now. If only a fraction of what it once was, guiding her back to the surface.

By the power of the goddess she was holding on with every fiber of her being.

She could hear the men talking and wanted to reach out, let them know how much she had thought about them in their time apart. Wanted to be with them.

A hand slipped into hers. Luke’s or Evan’s, she couldn’t tell. Yet. The day would come when she would be able to tell the difference between one and the other, but right now none of that mattered. She needed them both.

She called to the goddess of the moon on a silent prayer.
Please help them repair the gift I destroyed.

Warm air hit her and a jolt of energy crawled along her skin. Instantly, the drag of elixirs relinquished a portion of control over her.

Her lashes fluttered open to find two sets of ruby-red eyes staring down at her, worry etched into their depths.

“Thank God, sweetheart. Keep your eyes open, that’s it.” Luke tightened his embrace and lowered his lips to hers gently. Did he think a single kiss would break the spell? Her heart swelled. Still, she loved him all the more for trying.

“Lay her back.” Luke spoke from beside them.

Fog rolled along the fringes of her mind, but there was nothing that could mask the masculine voices of her shifters. She worked to pry her eyes fully open, but forcing cement slabs apart would be easier.

A cocoon of warmth lulled her into a deeper slumber.

With each inhale she forced her mind to focus and on each exhale she could feel the threads of magick mending. Like tiny fingers working to restore the damage.

“Come back to us, little witch. Let us see those beautiful emerald eyes.”

She wanted to so badly. Her chest tightened, heart raced. Tears threatened to spill. Her arms weighed a ton and her body still lay paralyzed. Heat washed over her and her blood rushed in her ears.

“I... I…” She growled her frustration. The forced cry weak.

Hellz bellz.
She tried again to force the words past her tight throat.

Strong arms hugged her. “Shh. Save your strength.”

No. she didn’t want to calm down. This was her future, her destiny.

Ambrosia wrestled for the reins of control and managed to shift her weight in Evan’s arms.

She tried again.

This time she pushed harder against the control of the elixir and managed to arch her back. “Need you. Both.” She dragged in air between each word.

“Trust us. We’re here.” Luke pressed a soft kiss to the tip of her nose. “Open those eyes and look at us.” He cupped her face and for the first time in what felt like forever her eyes opened fully to meet his crimson gaze. “Don’t be scared.”

Between them was the safest place she could be. She only feared losing them to her blindness.

They needed to know they were the key to completely breaking the spell over her. Their bond the only magick powerful enough to crack the elixir’s spell. She had to tempt them to touch her and only hoped they followed her lead.

Evan settled her fully on the ground, the soft grass a gentle cushion beneath her half naked body. With Luke there to support her from the front, Evan tightened his arms around her from behind. “Our mate wants us to make love to her, Luke.”

CHAPTER EIGHT

“Is this true? No way in hell we’re taking this further until you give us an answer. Fight it. Use our strength, pull on our power, and break the fucking spell already.” No matter how much he wanted, Luke couldn’t command her out of her problem.

Goddess, if it were only that simple. She could still feel his pain through their shattered connection and her heart ached for them. They had no idea of the war she battled or just how important their presence was to pulling her back from the razor’s edge of perpetual darkness… or worse.

Reclined in the soft grass within her circle, her head rested against Luke’s arm. Her body pressed between her lovers.

Luke captured her hands in his and placed them on his chest. The light dusting of hair tickled her palms.

“What a beautiful smile.” He brushed a kiss across each cheekbone, regarding her with a soft expression. “Just tell us you need this and we’ll do anything for you.” Luke’s words stroked a chord in her heart. She had a choice to make. One way would save her. The other would condemn her. Both could kill her.

With eyes finally open, she chose to lose herself and let her destiny unfold however the goddess saw fit. Because her way sure the hell wasn’t working.

They’d earned her trust months ago, when they cared for her, trusting her with their hearts. Tonight had almost destroyed everything. Shame reared its ugly head, complete with tears to sting her eyes. Water wet her cheeks.

“With us they’ll never be a reason for tears, little witch, I meant my promise. After tonight, nothing will keep you from knowing only happiness.” Luke whispered a caress across her cheek with his thumb.

“Never again will you shed a tear if we can help it,” Evan confirmed, leaving no room for argument. Not that she had one. The power in his words settled over her like a protective bubble. His tone carried a rich, dark need to protect her. No matter how much she might want to fall back on her default setting of safe mode, she couldn’t. Not now. Not ever.

Evan leaned in, his jaw brushing along the tender underside of her neck as he spoke into her ear. Her heart skipped. From his shoulder to the length of his cock, hard muscle pressed against her from behind leaving not an inch of air between her and Evan.

She opened her senses, allowing every touch, every uttered syllable to penetrate her, heart and soul.

Reaching deep and gripping the tethers that bonded them, time stood still. The emptiness that entombed her heart finally cracked, weakened by his tender words.

Tension snapped like a rubber band breaking. Evan sighed with relief from behind her before he eased her leg over Luke’s thigh, bestowing feather-light kisses along her the tender skin of her neck. Each kiss a shock to the elixir’s grip as if they could feel the change from within her too.

He gathered her face in his palm and angled her toward him. A breath away from her lips, his eyes begged for reassurance one more time. Her lashes dipped, then fluttered open, happy for the smallest of abilities to soothe her man’s worry. It was all he needed.

Evan’s lips crashed into hers, the tip of his tongue pushed past her lips and claimed her mouth completely. All too quickly he pulled back, her lower lip caught between his teeth.

Desire pooled between her thighs, provoking a husky growl from both her men. Shock plunged through her body. Evan had a deep fetish for her mouth, and with a sigh, she savored his taste.

She stole a phrase right out of Honor’s book… Holy goddesses, did the man know how to kiss a woman!

With the confines of their jeans gone, Luke’s cock hardened and pulsed against her midriff, bringing her attention around to him. Evan’s just as impressive along the crease of her ass. She had no idea when they’d stripped, but a part of her wished she could have witnessed the show.

Luke ran his fingers along her thigh in a slow, sensual glide. As if he wanted to savor every square inch of her body, lay claim to his property.

Each caress served like a bolt of electricity to her heart.

Each beat a blow to the constraints, allowing her to melt into Evan’s chest.

His hands moved from their hold around her waist and stroked up to cup her mounds, lifting, working the flesh through the flimsy silk of her gown until her nipples pebbled, desperate for his attention. “You have the loveliest breasts. So perfect and sensitive to my touch.” He demonstrated by stroking her extended buds then pinching them.

Fire shot through her, the nerves alive with instant excitement.

She bowed her back and pushed herself deeper into his hands. Warm lips encased her dusky tips through the silk and a deep groan vibrated. She was straight on a path to sin city.

She knew deep down this was the only place she should be, and for the first time in her life she didn’t care about the consequences.

“Tell us again, little witch. Tell us want you want. Let us hear it one more time. Do we continue?” Evan worked the muscle in his jaw against her shoulder, his voice dark, hungry. Luke’s heart pounded beneath her touch, the beat bold and steady, like the men she loved. They were strong, loyal and before tonight she would have said foolishly stubborn. Now she understood the need for them to protect those around them even if she didn’t realize how much she needed it.

Her heart swelled with a wash of pride and adoration for both men.

Want them to stop? No. Never. “Yes.” Her answer a breathy plea. “Continue. Don’t… stop… giving.”
Take.
She worked her throat. There was no escaping tonight and she didn’t want to. Heat surrounded her, from the front and equally from the back. Pleasure to be found both ways. What else could she do but give in? Chills brushed along her overheated skin at the thought. She was surrounded on all sides and right where she wanted to be. “Now.” With that she let herself fall into their special brand of sweet torturous pleasure. Her eyes drifted closed, because she let them and of her own free will.

“Oh no, you don’t. Look at me.” Luke’s command popped her gaze back to his. Fierce red drilled into her and reached into her soul. He shifted his leg and parted hers, then eased the crown of his cock along the seam of her folds to settle against her swollen clit. With bold swirls he teased, stroked, ignited.

Chiseled muscle nestled her back. “I can feel it… the bond. Like a faint whisper.” Evan spoke close to her ear in a deep, lusty growl. His arm wrapped protectively around her quivering stomach, anchoring to him. As if he feared she would slip away from him if he didn’t hold her just a little bit tighter. “It’s buried beneath the influence of the elixir.” He shifted behind her to look over her shoulder at Luke. “We should move fast.”

Fast. She could handle fast. Her body hummed with anticipation for her alphas, but her soul yearned for their bond just as much.

The words to her spell tickled the back of her mind.
With unity, bring forth this night a soul so bright.
She’d meant her own shattered soul, but her magick saw deeper than any of them could predict and formed the unity on the most primitive level.

A magnetic power rumbled over her and left her heart trembling. Maybe they weren’t too late. By the goddess and her moonpowers, Ambrosia had sealed their fate tonight without knowing it.

Luke gathered the ends of her gown and pulled it over her head to toss it aside. Their first night together he’d vowed if he could have one wish he’d ask for her, naked between him and Evan night after night.

She pressed her back into Evan and nuzzled Luke’s neck, thankful for the tiniest amount of control over her movements once again. Maybe wishes—and jinxes—had a way of working out, after all.

Luke wedged himself between her folds, the bulbous head of his cock nestled at her entrance. Her breath quickened. Mindless bliss settled over her and for that one second before he penetrated her, everything stilled. The air, the past, the future. Everything ground to a halt. He pressed forward, inched his way into her channel, closing what little space existed between them. Deeper. Her walls clenched, flexed around his shaft. She was his. And Evan’s.

The mad urge to thrust forward until she had all of him overtook her.

She whimpered in anticipation, unable to move from where the weight of his thigh locked her motionless.

“It’s okay, little witch. I can feel you. We’ve waited for you for so long, my sweet Ambrosia.” Luke soothed her with his whispered words as he pulled out to stroke the head of his cock through her wet slit. “God, you’re so fucking tight. I don’t want to hurt you.”

Empty. She wanted him back. Looking into his eyes, the crimson intensified. Her breath stilled and for one solid second she forgot to breathe. The wolf gazed back at her and he was hungry.

Heat sizzled between them so hot it made her face flush and her body shudder with pent-up energy.

Stroke.
Juices spilled to wet Luke’s cock. “It took more willpower than I thought either of us had to stay away. I must have dialed you a hundred times that first week, ready to demand… hell, I don’t know what I would have said, but your note…” Evan’s low voice drew her attention to him. Pressure coiled, tightened. Luke continued his slow ministrations. Shaky breaths left her throat, her body trembling with savage hunger.

Evan didn’t have to finish his thought. She knew every single word scribbled on the scrap of paper. Like a coward, she’d left them before anyone could see her, or the note she’d stuffed into Luke’s discarded jeans for them to find long after she made her escape.

With two fingers Evan parted her folds, Luke taking full advantage of her exposed core.

Her muscles relaxed despite the rampant emotions that bombarded her. Guilt for letting so much time pass was the strongest.

Her breasts grew heavy in Evan’s hand as he worked the flesh with a gentle yet firm touch.

A strange tingling started in the soles of her feet and advanced along her ankles.

Evan surprised her by gathering her juices with a stroke of his finger along her drenched slit.

Luke growled. “So fucking wet. You want me. I can feel your pussy pulsate with need. I can scent the thick desire in the air and it fucking makes me blind with lust for you.” He drove the thick tip of his shaft inside then stilled.

Evan trailed his fingers along the dip in her side and continued over her hip and upward until he found her distended nipples. He covered them with her juices, circling them into puckered berries.

Bizarre sensations moved up the back of her legs, the blood in her veins rushing through her body.

Evan gathered her breasts and offered them up like exotic fruit to Luke. Heat flushed her from head to toe the second the heat of his mouth made contact with her nipples. “Let me touch you.” She needed to feel him, have him closer.

Evan released her breasts, scooped her hand in his then slowly placed her palm against Luke’s shoulder.

She didn’t know if it was from the surge of strength within her or Luke’s sudden thrust, but the gush of liquid that gathered along her core and spilled out said everything she couldn’t.

“Your body tells you what you need. Don’t fight it, little witch. Let go.” Luke drove his cock an inch deeper with every command. His muscles bunched beneath her fingers. It was obvious he wanted to claim her in one smooth thrust, but he held himself steady, muscles tensed. He cursed under his breath, his gaze never shifting from where their bodies connected.

With a slow push he entered her channel fully. Heaving a ragged sigh, he rested his forehead on hers, his length pulsating with raw hunger against her walls. Her own air supply just as short. Muscles constricted around his shaft. Rough cries rushed past her lips. The burning stretch was pure, delicious torture to her body. He tightened his grip on her hip, his other cupped her face. “Please tell me you’re okay. Tell me if I need to stop.”
