“Oh, okay,” I let my eyes drift closed as my hands ran over the smooth muscle of Fisher’s back. My eyes flew open again, “don’t you usually work on Saturdays?”

“Yes, but Saturdays are optional and I chose the option of being here with you,” he didn’t even bother moving his face away from my chest and the warmth of his breath skittered across my nipples, making me gasp.

I opened my mouth to ask more questions, but all that escaped was a surprised moan as Fisher clamped his mouth around my nipple, flicking his tongue across the little point while he sucked. His mouth was replaced with his hand as he moved to give the other breast equal attention.

I wasn’t sure what I’d done to deserve this treatment first thing in the morning, but I made a mental note to do it again.

Fisher’s other hand took the place of his mouth as he began to kiss down my stomach, taking a moment to nip at my belly button. His teeth grazing the flesh of my belly combined with the sensation of his musically calloused fingers on my nipples made me cry out, a noise somewhere between a moan and a giggle. I’d let myself be embarrassed later, for the moment my attention was completely focused on Fisher’s mouth moving farther and farther south.

His tongue did a dance across the waist of my panties, making my skin crackle. When his fingers dipped into the sides and began to tug I froze, my eyes opening.

“What are you doing?” I tried not to pant the words out, failing miserably.

“Showing you how special you are,” a grin spread across his face as he lifted me slightly, removing the offending panties from my body.

I instinctively pressed my thighs together, a difficult task with Fisher positioned between my calves. I’d never been that vulnerable and exposed to a man before. I hadn’t even been that exposed to myself. I couldn’t help feeling shy, knowing the most private part of my body would be revealed to Fisher if I relaxed my legs, allowing my thighs to fall apart.

“Let me see, Piper,” his voice was warm and he trailed the pads of his fingers across the skin of my thighs.

I shook my head slightly, I trusted Fisher and I wanted to see what he would do next, but the sunlight streaming in through my bedroom window made me feel too visible to his hungry eyes.

“Okay,” he came up to lie next to me again, trailing one hand up to cup my cheek and using the other to turn my hip, so we lay facing each other.

His lips were tentative as he leaned in to connect them with mine. He nipped at my lips, running his tongue along first the top lip then the bottom until I opened my lips for him. His kiss was sweet, but hot. Requesting rather than demanding, but his hand on my hip was another story. He traced my hip bone, thigh, and behind in a pattern that made me start to squirm against him. I found myself deepening the kiss, demanding more of him. When his hand dropped from my cheek to cup my breast I moaned, my legs falling apart slightly.

Without wasting any time his hand slid from my thigh and came to rest between my legs. He ran a finger along my most sensitive part, making me moan louder and separate my legs more, inviting him to touch me however he wanted.

His finger slid inside of me and I shuddered at the feeling. I couldn’t believe how badly I wanted him or how far our morning make-out had progressed. I couldn’t believe how good it felt to be touched by him. When my erratic breaths and excited sounds began to disrupt our kiss Fisher moved to my neck, kissing along my collar bone. My eyes closed.

I was so lost in the sensation of him I didn’t notice his lips leaving my collarbone until I felt them pressing along the insides of my spread thighs.

My eyes flew open as I squirmed against his palms splayed across my legs just above my knees, “Fisher,” I gasped out as his kisses came closer to a place where no man had kissed me before.

“Shhhh,” he answered between kisses, “It’ll be fine, just let me do this.”

His dark eyes stared into mine as he took a first languid taste of my body. The groan he released into my sensitive skin made me tremble, spurring him on to kiss, suck, and lick me as ravenously as he wanted. His eyes bore into mine as he went, daring me to keep looking at him; forcing me to feel the intimate heat of the gift he was giving my body. A final flick of his tongue to that perfect spot had me coming apart.

My chest heaved and my back arched off the bed as I came, moaning out his name. My body shook until I started to relax, dropping my back to the bed with a satisfied exhale.

Fisher lapped at me a few more times, making my body spasm in its sensitized state. Satisfied with a job well done, he climbed back up the bed to hold me. I placed a hand on each side of his face before pressing my lips to his.

“I don’t deserve you,” I whispered, nuzzling my head into his chest.

“You’re special. You deserve everything,” his hands tightened across my back.

“You and Fish seem cozy,” Bailey commented, sipping her soda.

“So do you and Dustin,” I gave her a look.

We were having lunch the Wednesday before thanksgiving. I was going home after lunch, so Fisher, Riley, and I could make the short trip to his parents’ home for the weekend.

“He’s sweet,” Bailey blushed, “and he’s cute. I don’t know why I never noticed when we were in high school,” she tilted her head to the side, “actually I know exactly why I never noticed.”

“Why?” I asked, checking my shirt for crumbs.

“Seph dated him,” she looked down at her hands mumbling, “and every other guy at our high school,” a frown crossed her face as she spoke the last part, but it was quickly replaced with a wide grin, “I never wanted to touch her exes, even if they were half the town, but I think you’ve inspired me.”

I wasn’t really sure what she meant, so I just smiled at her, glad to help.

“Are you nervous?” she asked, seeming to understand my awkward need for a subject change.

“About?”

“Meeting Patricia Fisher,” she said the name in a Dracula voice and curled her fingers into claws.

“Uh, should I be?” I assumed this woman was Fisher’s mother. He hadn’t mentioned anything about her, or his father for that matter. I made a mental note to dig a little deeper on our drive. It hadn’t occurred to me to prepare myself mentally for meeting his family.

Bailey shrugged, “she’s just a few miles south of Stepford that’s all. She liked me fine in high school, but I think she knew I wasn’t the one corrupting her son.” Bailey gave me a sinister look, “you, on the other hand, are making sexy time with her son and she’ll know.”

“We’re not-” I blushed, “we haven’t actually done that yet.”

“You guys spend like every night together in his apartment,” her mouth dropped open in confusion and I threw a fry at her. She easily batted it away, “even when he has a show you wait for him in his bed. Waiting in his bed means automatic sexy time in my book.”

I shrugged, “we have sexy time. We kiss and touch and,” I blushed even more, “other things, but no actual sex.”

“Why the hell not?” she exclaimed, “Fish is hot and you’re hot, together you could have hot sex.”

I shrugged, “it started out with us not having a condom and I guess it turned into waiting for the time to be right.”

She shook her head, opening her mouth and pointing down her throat, making a heaving sound.

“I think it’s sweet,” I laughed at the look on her face, “when it happens it’ll be right and it’ll be perfect.”

“It’ll be hot,” Bailey cut in, reaching across the table to nudge my shoulder.

Riley fell asleep in the first five minutes of the drive and despite my plans to stay awake and ask Fisher about his family, I followed Riley into a refreshing sleep. When I woke up we were pulling into the driveway of a two story brick home with cream shutters and a turkey flag flying from the porch.

“We’re here,” Fisher tossed me an almost apologetic half smile as he put the vehicle in park.

Panic started to bubble up in my throat. Remembering Bailey’s comments from earlier I decided to get some answers before we had to go inside. “Fisher, your mom, is she-”

I was cut off by a woman crossing the front yard, “Travis Liam Fisher get out of that car and come inside. It’s not right to keep that baby in the car while you lollygag.”

“She’s right there,” he gave me that same apologetic smile before opening his door and crossing the lawn to wrap his arms around her shoulder.

I opened my own door, then the one to the backseat, reaching across to gather Riley’s things. I held the little boy on my hip and hoisted his diaper bag onto my shoulder before closing the door. I resolved to let Fisher grab the rest of our bags, payback for the awkward way I had to stand aside while he chatted with his mother, not even introducing me.

“Let me give you a hand!” a chipper voice called out. I watched the platinum blonde pixie cut bounce as the girl it belonged to bounded across the grass, her pink highlights and black pleated miniskirt bouncing in sync with her blonde cut as she walked.

“Hi, I’m June,” she smiled warmly, holding her arms out to Riley, “and my nephew is getting so big!”

“I’m Piper,” I gave her a grateful smile and pulled the midsized rolling suitcase holding Riley and my clothing from the hatch back. I stuck my tongue out at Fisher’s guitar case and backpack full of clothes before slamming the door closed.

“It’s not his fault,” June shrugged, adjusting Riley on her hip, “She’s just like that, all consuming, and he’s never been good at pulling chute.”

“I didn’t realize you were bringing a guest Travis Liam,” his mother accused loudly, either finally noticing me or finally deciding to acknowledge my presence.

“I’m taking the baby in,” June announced, giving me an encouraging look and a thumbs up as she walked away.

“Yeah, Mom this is Piper, my girlfriend, Piper this is my mother, Patricia Fisher,” Fisher gestured between us, a nervous look on his face.

“It’s great to meet you Mrs. Fisher,” I dropped the handle of my rolling suitcase to take her hand in mine.

“Piper,” she said my name like she was testing the taste of it, “My son didn’t tell me he was bringing a guest, but I suppose we can always find room.”

I shifted from one foot to the other, uncomfortable.

“I did tell you Mom, I told you before I even asked her,” he said this in a low voice, trying to clarify without arguing.

“No you did not and I don’t want you talking back anymore. I don’t care who you’ve been hanging around,” she looked at me and sniffed, “I taught you better than that.”

She turned and walked away, leaving us on the lawn.

“Sorry,” Fisher whispered, reaching for the bag slung over my shoulder.

“I’ve got it,” I mumbled, dragging my suitcase across the yard and onto the porch. I crossed my arms over my chest, unwilling to walk into the house and what could be a warzone, but equally unwilling to help him grab his things and the travel crib from the car.

I watched him struggle for a few minutes before giving in and silently taking the travel crib from his hands.

“Thank you,” he smiled, dropping a kiss on my forehead before reaching into the trunk and easily shrugging on his backpack and lifting his guitar case.

Fisher led me through the house, pointing out the living room, the doorway to the kitchen where I could hear his mother talking on the phone about me, very loudly, the den, and finally leading me to his bedroom.

“Cute,” I nodded toward a poster on his wall featuring a set of cheerleaders in barely there bikinis, I could tell they were cheerleaders because two of them held pompoms over their bare chests.

He shrugged, “I’m a guy,” he dropped his things on the bed, taking a step toward me and wrapping his arms around my waist, “plus, it’s not my fault. When my mom moved out here she set up this room exactly like my room in the old house. My room from high school,” he kissed my cheek, “I’ve grown since then,” he kissed my jaw and took a second to softly kiss my neck, raising a hand to my side at the same time, “my tastes have become more refined.”

I began to laugh uncontrollably as he tickled me. I stumbled backwards, my legs coming into contact with the bed and throwing me off balance. My falling onto the bed didn’t stop Fisher, he relentlessly straddled my body, tickling my sides while I squealed, trying my best to keep it down, not willing to risk his mother hating me even more.

A throat clearing in the doorway distracted Fisher, allowing me to wiggle free.

“Junior!” Fisher yelled, jumping up from the bed and wrapping his arms around June, who still held Riley.

“I go by June now, okay? Junior isn’t exactly feminine.”

“Okay, June,” he ran a hand across her hair, messing it up, but she didn’t seem to mind, “Wow, you’ve grown up.”

“Not seeing me for eight and a half months will do that.”

“Nah, I think it’s ‘cause you’re a college girl now,” he nudged his shoulder against hers.

“It’s just community college,” she looked at the floor.

“Hey, you’re taking your time figuring things out, so when you decide on something more official you’ll know you love it,” he nudged her on the shoulder again. When she didn’t look up he placed his finger under her chin, forcing her head upward, “I’m proud of you.” He nodded as he spoke and she smiled.
