“What?”
Deanna could not believe it. Her best friend was an angel all along and not
just any angel he was her guardian angel. She was at shock and kept silent till
Gab nudged her “are you alright?” he asked. “What are you here for then? You could
fly back up to heaven if you would want right?” Deanna asked. “Well yes but
no.” Gab had a dark look on his face. It seemed out of place. Deanna would have
been scared if she had just met him. “I am now a fallen” said Gab. He said it
with a lot of anger, hidden anger. “You mean like a fallen?” Deanna could not
believe it.
“Weren’t
fallen angels all evil? Deanna knew the story. Gab turned to her in a swift
motion, “No” he spoke softly he turned to her with a look in his eyes. Deanna
had almost forgotten how to breathe. She backed away a little but they were too
much inside the roots and she was stuck in her place. The angel leaned forward
close enough for their noses to almost touch.
“I am not
evil,
Deannara
” he said. Deanna remembered her grandmother
calling her that when she was a child. “I have fallen but for love” he said and
with that he loomed in and kissed her. It was a passionate kiss. He pulled her
in closely in; he wrapped her legs around his waist and kissed her even harder.
Deanna’s heart was racing. She felt the exhilaration, the touch of his lips,
soft and sweet but hard and cold.
It was good
but it was bad at the same time. It kept her hooked and she knew that he was
talking about her when he said the reason he had fallen. Deanna pulled back
after she gave him a gentle bite on his lower lip; she slowly opened her eyes
and looked at Gab. His eyes were the purest of black. His lip bled a little and
Deanna noticed that he had bitten her lip. She scrambled back from him as he
started to laugh. “
Deannara
,
Deannara
…
sweet child come over to us” he said.
“Let our
blood mingle and rule this earth, you know it wasn’t all fun being good” he
said to her. She could see his eyes turn pure black. His features became
harder, less beautiful, scarier, his voice got deeper. “
Deannara
,
join us child… bare us the child, lead us to the book” he said. Deanna stood up
and ran but the Angel was fast he grabbed her and felt her heart being ripped
out,
she closed her eyes looking at the stars through the
trees on that dark night.
Deangelo
liked licking the face of Deanna. He
would do this every morning. He went up to her room and pushed the slightly
open door to her room. He walked up to her bed and jumped on it. Deanna woke
slowly from the licks of her Siberian. The dog was her alarm in the morning.
She placed a hand on his head and patted him slowly.
She felt bruised and tired. Everything from her feet to her
chest ached. She reached her bedside table for her phone and saw that she had
11 voice calls from
Maureece
, “Where are you?” he
asked in one of them “I am calling 911 but I have a feeling you are asleep,
catch you tom… angel”
Maureece
said the word like he
meant it in a different way.
Deanna placed the phone down and tried to remember
everything. She remembered the meeting, her father,
Maureece
and of course,
Gab
. She
slid
her had down her chest imagining a scar would be there. His heart felt in the
right place. She could not believe the dream was so real. She stood up and gave
Deangelo
another pat. She took her clothes off and
slid into the shower. It was refreshing falling under the water. It slid down
her body making her feel alive. After the nightmare she had last night she was
determined to get out of the house and meet
Maureece
.
She sucked her lower lip as the thought of her kissing Gab
entered her mind. It hurt a little. She got out of the shower and wiped the
bathroom mirror clear of mist, it was then that she saw a small little cut on
her lower lip. She remembered the kiss, the bite, the laugh and the stars. It
could not have been real; she knew it was a dream. Deanna stood there for a
while in the shower then decided that it was a dream. She put on her clothes
and stared in the mirror. If it was a dream then good but in a way she knew it
was not and she was happy that maybe in reality she could fake it till it would
slowly haunt her.
