Why am I resisting this so hard? It’s not like I have someplace else to go or anything.
Still, he made one last effort. “What about your roommate? Shouldn’t you discuss it with him first?”

“After his lazy slug of a brother ate every bit of food in our kitchen and didn’t get up off our couch for almost six months, he owes me big time,” Jay answered with a wink.

“I thought he was a chef or something,” Fin replied, thinking back to how miserable Jay had been while his apartment was under siege by Jabba the Slug.

“He was. A damn good one. Trouble was, he cooked gourmet dinners and ate them before either of us had the chance to taste a single bite. Smelled heavenly, though.”

Fin chuckled, relieved that the tension between them had dissipated. “Okay, okay, you made your point. If you want me to stay with you, I’d be grateful just to sleep on your couch. But I can’t pay my share of the bills until I get a new job.”

“I don’t want you to feel pressured to contribute until you’re back on your feet anyway,” Jay replied with a shrug.

“Wait a minute.” That statement put a frown on Fin’s face. “I’m not going to become Jabba the Second, sleeping on your couch, eating your food, and not contributing a single red cent to the bills. I have to pay my way somehow, Jay.
I have to.

“You want to do something for me?” he asked, arms crossed over his chest and his jaw set.

Seeing Jay so serious gave Fin a moment’s pause. Then he mentally shrugged and nodded, though he was a bit nervous to find out what sort of compensation program Jay was considering.

Please, God, don’t let it be some kind of friends with benefits arrangement. There’s no way I could have sex with him all the time and not get too attached. I’d be emotionally invested right from the start.

“I want to help you achieve your fitness goals,” Jay said, seemingly at random.

“Um, okay,” Fin mumbled, trying to grasp the quick change of subject. “We’ll see about that. Right now, though, I need you to tell me what you want from me in exchange for letting me sleep on your couch.”

“That’s it, Fin. That’s what I want.”

“How does you helping me get fit qualify as me contributing to the expenses?” he asked, confused. “It just sounds like more that I won’t be able to repay.”

“Helping people is what I do for a living, yes, but this isn’t about that,” Jay replied. He let out a long, slow exhale. Fin could almost see the gears grinding in his head as he searched for the right words. “You’re frustrated, you’re tired, and you’re run down. You are stressed out. You’ve told me you aren’t sleeping well, and I’ve seen some of the things you’ve been eating,” He cringed and made a face. “Gas station roller food and dollar store junk food does not a healthy diet make, Fin.”

It made him feel about two inches tall. He dropped his gaze to his old sneakers as he mumbled, “It’s the best I can do right now.”

“I know. Listen, I can’t get you a new job or improve your fortune, but I can help you feel better about yourself. When you feel good, your self-talk will become more positive and your confidence will improve. Never underestimate the power of confidence and positive thinking,” Jay said, his gaze searing into Fin’s soul. “People
will
take notice, and it might provide new opportunities for you. There are no limits to the realms of possibility.”

Fin had nothing to say. It was as if Jay was speaking a different language. The concept was so foreign to him.
Positive self-talk leading to new opportunities? That won’t work. I need real life solutions, not fantasies.
But if Jay was willing to give him a place to stay until he could get back on his feet, the least he could do was respect the man’s request and listen.

“Setting a realistic personal fitness goal and achieving it will vastly improve your self-confidence, Fin. You don’t need validation from me or anyone else – you need to prove to yourself that you can do it. But it’s hard and you’ll want to quit. That’s where I come in.”

Fin wasn’t sure whether the butterflies fluttering around his stomach were the result of Jay’s sexy wink…or nausea at the sound of Jay’s plan. “You won’t let me quit, will you?”

“Nope. I’ll ride your ass until you achieve your goals.”

Another wink and more panicking butterflies joined the swarm. An involuntary gulp caught Fin by surprise. “Okay, so if I agree to this insanity, when do we start? Today? Is that what all this is?” he asked, his wide gesture encompassing the gym and the workout they had already done.

Jay rolled his eyes. “This was nothing. We’ll start tomorrow. I don’t want this hanging over your head tonight while you’re supposed to be having fun.”

“Why is this so important to you, Jay?”

“A job, a house, a car – all these material things, that isn’t what life is all about. Life is about living. It’s about family, friends, love, and health. I want to see you stop working yourself to death for nothing and really start living.”

“I just don’t understand why you want to put in all this time and effort, knowing you won’t be getting anything out of it.”

“Helping you achieve your goals and watching your self-confidence skyrocket as you begin to love and accept yourself and grow to your full potential is me not getting anything out of it?”

“I can’t pay you,” Fin tried again. It came out almost a whine.
Why can’t he understand?

“I don’t want your money,” Jay said slowly, stressing each syllable. He took Fin’s chin in his strong fingers and forced him to meet his eyes. “Get this through your thick skull. You’re my best friend and I love you. This isn’t about making money or you owing me anything. It’s about you becoming the man you’ve always wanted and never thought you could be. That’s priceless. All I’m asking is that you let me help you.”

“And for that, you’ll let me sleep on your couch and eat your food and not contribute a cent towards the bills?”

Shaking his head, Jay corrected him, “For that, I’ll know that you are safe and well every night. For that, I’ll have control of your diet. Fitness is eighty percent diet and twenty percent exercise, so I’m going to make sure you’re eating right. And it’s not about money. Stop. Fixating. On. The. Money.”

Just like that, all the fight left Fin. His shoulders sagged, his head felt like it weighed a ton, and his neck could no longer hold it up. He loved Jay too, and if the man was willing to take a chance on him, then he would try his best. He didn’t feel he deserved that chance, and that made him all the more grateful.

“Alright, Jay, you win.”
You always win. Damned rat bastard.
“If that’s what you want, I’ll let you help me. Just don’t set your sights too high.”

“Shut up,” he replied with an affection Fin could feel in his bones as he was wrapped up in a bear hug. “We’ll set realistic goals and we’ll achieve them. Together. You’ll see.”

A chorus of cheers came from the weights section at that moment as if meant for them instead of a guy breaking his own bench-pressing record. Fin didn’t dare to hope he could achieve the goals Jay set for him, but his response was cut off when they noticed the twink at the front desk gesturing at Jay.

“Looks like you’ve been summoned. Your client must be here.”

“Or he wants me to watch the front while he goes to take a piss,” Jay retorted with a chuckle. “Either way, I gotta go.”

“Any instructions for me until you get back?”

“I want you to jog as long as you can. Don’t sprint, don’t walk. Jog. Track or treadmill, your choice, just make sure you’re good and loose first. I’ll see you in an hour,” he called over his shoulder as he headed to the front to meet his client.

Fin drank a little more water and settled into his stretches, trying to remember what Jay had shown him over and over. He replayed the conversation in his mind several times, still a bit shocked at what Jay had offered him…and what he’d agreed to do in return.
No reason to be nervous. If there’s anyone in this world I can trust to watch out for my best interests, it’s Jay. He’s all I have.

Making up his mind, Fin hoped that Jay would forgive him for not using the track or the treadmill. Instead, he jogged to the farmer’s market several blocks away and bought a big jug of pineapple juice. He didn’t spend his last dollar on it, but it was damn close.

* * * * *

“Oh God! You’re so tight, Fin. It feels so fucking good!”

A moan was his only response. The ability to speak had fled at the sight of Jay’s hard cock. It wasn’t the longest he’d ever had, but it was the thickest, curving upward and slightly over toward Jay’s right hip. It felt like he was being slowly split open as Jay pushed inside.

He had almost bailed when Jay pressed into his hole, his eyes bugging out as the mushroom head popped inside. It was so big, he couldn’t imagine taking the entire length inside him.
But the burn! That delicious burn hurt so good!
Jay had rubbed his back and shoulders, planted kisses along the length of his spine, and massaged his scalp until he was able to relax and let him all the way in.

It was so worth it! Having Jay buried all the way to the hilt inside him was better than he’d ever imagined. Another breathless moan escaped his lips as his hole spasmed around the thick cock. It still burned a bit, but in the best possible way.

“Fin? Are you okay?” Jay whispered close to his ear.

He felt large, strong hands rest on his hips then slide up his back and over his shoulders. As the hands moved around to massage his pecs, Fin sat up until his back pressed against Jay’s chest and his ass fit snugly into the curve of Jay’s hips. He paused there, feeling the difference in sensation as the angle of the cock inside him shifted. Warm pressure blossomed in his core as the large hands came to rest on his abdomen, holding him close.

“Yeah, I’m good,” he breathed, barely audible, as he reached behind him to grab Jay’s ass. He pushed back against Jay’s pelvis, trying to get more of his cock. “Give it to me, Jay. Don’t hold back.”

“Don’t rush me. I want us both to enjoy this.”

What began as a growl caught in Fin’s throat and morphed into another moan as warm, slick fingers wrapped around his stiff cock. Several long, slow pulls with teasing swirls on his leaking tip and Fin couldn’t stop himself from bucking into Jay’s hand. Jay allowed him the freedom to do so for a few delicious minutes. A sheen of perspiration coated his skin as he fucked himself forward into Jay’s hand and back onto his cock. Then a strong hand planted itself on his pelvis, pinning him against the solid body behind him and preventing any further movement, try as he might. Fighting Jay on this was as pointless as in any other endeavor. It only took Fin a few seconds to stop fighting to move and start pushing his ass back onto Jay’s cock harder instead. As soon as he ceased resisting, Jay gripped the base of his cock and thrust into him in short, abrupt bursts, forcing a grunt out of a surprised Fin.

“How d’you like that?” Jay asked, nipping at his shoulder and neck.

“You’ll know…if you do something…I don’t like,” Fin replied between thrusts, then clenched his hole tightly around the thick shaft to emphasize his point.

“Fuck!”

Jay bit down on his shoulder – not hard enough to break the skin, but hard enough to leave a visible mark, Fin was sure – and growled like a wild animal.
A panther,
Fin thought,
sleek and muscular and beautiful.
The thought sent a thrill racing through his body, and he raked his fingernails across Jay’s thighs as he let his head fall back on the strong shoulder behind him.

“Yeah, baby, harder! Harder!”

Another animal growl sounded as a firm hand pressed down on his back and Fin found himself face-down in the blankets with his ass in the air, still completely filled by a big, fat cock and loving every second of it. Jay was pounding him into the mattress, and he had never felt so free – free of burden, free of responsibility, free of obligation, free of fear. Giving Jay control over this moment allowed Fin to truly enjoy the experience without worrying if he was doing it right, because there was no right or wrong. There was only Jay; there was only letting him take what he wanted and trusting that in the process he would give Fin what he needed.

No longer able to form words, Fin let grunts and moans fall unchecked from his lips so Jay could hear how good it felt. He pushed against the mattress, meeting every thrust Jay slammed into him. The sound of hot flesh slapping against hot flesh filled the room along with the smell of sex. It was intoxicating, and had Jay not been gripping his hips in his passion, Fin felt as if he might float away. It had been so long since he had felt this way…

Actually, I don’t think I’ve ever felt this way before.

He wanted to be closer to Jay, to feel closer to him.
I may never get the chance to do this with him again.
Twisting so he could reach behind him, Fin put out a needy hand, searching until he found hot flesh. He wasn’t sure what body part it was – a leg, maybe – but it belonged to Jay and that was all that mattered.

The grip on his hips tightened, and Jay slammed a series of short, rough thrusts into his ass.
I am going to be so sore after this.
The thought made Fin tighten his grip and grin into the blankets.
