Chapter 18

Time had just accepted Step’s offer of getting out the house when Monique walked in. She was carrying a couple of bags in her hands. She was feeling bad after reading the unsolved case of his father.

“Hey baby.” S
he dropped into his lap. First, she gave him a kiss on the lips. “You okay?” she asked when he didn’t respond.

“Yeah.”

If Step had given him details of what had happened, he probably would have spazzed on her.

“I miss you,” she continued. Time turned to her unbelieving. He then directed his attention back to the television. A re-run of the
“X-Files” was on. They were considered sci-fi classics.

“I got something for you,” she said. Monique jumped up and grabbed one of the bags. She then reached inside and pulled out the contents. It was lingerie.

“You like it?” she asked holding the garment to her body.

“I like it
,” he replied. Even though Monique disgusted him. He had no sexual desire towards her and doubted if he would ever again.

I’m going to wear this for you if you want me to.” She held her mouth in a small pout, remembering this had once turned him on. Time was completely ignoring her. She sat back on his lap. “I know I’ve been something of a bitch lately and I was hoping I could make it up to you.”

Time stood
up almost throwing her to the floor. He had some things he wanted to say. However, it wasn’t the time. Not with the heist coming up.

“I have to make a quick pick up.” That was the only thing he could say without raising
any suspicion since she knew he was Orange Mound’s dope supplier. Monique smiled with pain behind it. When he walked out of the house, he didn’t look back. He’d already accepted the facts. Time pulled out in the blue Caprice, not realizing that the Mustang had followed him back to his crib.

*****

After entertaining Jones and Nano, Tracy turned down the music and walked over to where the two were seated. She now carried a brown leather tote bag. She sat in between the two and leaned towards Nano.

“Do you want to play
?” she asked brushing her titties on him. They were medium in size and perfect.

Fuck yeah,” Nano words slurred. Tracy smiled and reached into the bag. When she came out, she was holding onto what looked like restraints.

First you got to tie me up.” Nano laughed and looked at Jones.

“What’s up with the tying up
shit,” he asked.

“It helps her to achieve mind-blowing orgasms. It’s like the only way she can get off.
” Jones was now standing beside the granite counter top where Tracy kept a few bottles of alcohol.

“I’ll help you,” he added.

The three of them then moved to the bedroom. It was occupied by a king-size bed. The bed postings seemed to be made of Oak. There was a dresser made of the same type of wood. Sitting in one corner of the bedroom, was a daybed with matching pillows. A 50-inch Toshiba flat screen was mounted on the wall facing the bed. A pornographic movie was playing on the screen. Other than that, everything else seemed normal. Tracy took off the last of her clothing, which was the thong she wore. She then climbed on the bed and got on all fours, with her back arched and ass pushed out for the taking. Jones was the first to move. He placed his drink down and dug in the leather bag. He smiled when he pulled out the silk blindfold as Tracy cooed. Nano thought, “What the fuck have I gotten myself into?” With the restraints, Jones climbed on the bed where Tracy seemed to be in ecstasy already. First, he bound her left arm to the wooden post, and then he did the right arm. Once she was helpless, he grabbed one of her nipples and squeezed extremely hard. Tracy cried out first then it all changed. “Ahhh…” Next, her legs started to open and close. Jones looked back at Nano with a stupid grin on his face.

“I told you she liked this shit
. Look,” Jones pointed. Nano came over to inspect. Between Traci’s legs, her pussy lips hung glistening with moisture. Then she began to grind the air as if she had some invisible lover behind her.

“I’ll be in the other room,” Jones stated and climbed off the bed.

“Please, come on,” Tracy begged. Nano looked back to see Jones, giving him a head nod. He then pulled the door closed. Nano quickly stripped down to his socks. After he’d stroked himself to his full potential, he climbed on the bed.

“You got some condoms
?” he asked stupidly.

No baby. It’s clean and good.” Tracy opened her legs again. This time Nano could see the juices damn near running down her leg.

Oh God, I’m on fire….” Nano thought for a second. She did looked clean. “Let me taste it,” she said. Nano thought. Tracy didn’t have to beg anymore. Nano positioned himself in front of her face and guided his dick to her lips. When she felt the head graze her, she opened her mouth for him.

“Damn,” Nano cursed when he felt the instant warmth of her mouth
. He slowly began to push himself in and out. “Tracy is good,” he thought, she just needed some air, so he pulled his dick out.

“Nooo… put it back,” she said with saliva on her chin
. Nano bit down on his lip even though she could not see him. Quickly he did what she asked. When he pushed half his mass in her mouth, he expected her to gag. It furthered enticed Nano since she didn’t. He continued to push until she consumed his full length. Nano watched in surprise as his dick went in and out of her throat. This went on for a while, and then he pulled himself free.

“Let’s fuck,” she demanded. Nano slide between her legs and positioned his saliva soaked dick at her pussy. When he pushed forward, he slid inside her easily.

Chapter 19

When Time turned into the doughnut shop on Tisdale and Franklin, Step was already waiting.

“I appreciate you accepting my offer.”

“I’m glad you offered.”

“You know your girl came home with some lingerie.”

“No she didn’t!”

“I wouldn’t lie to you Step. It took everything I had not to say anything.”

Step had a box of mixed doughnuts. “I got something to snack on, you want to ride out?”

“We better ride in your car.” Time made exited from the blue Caprice. Then they both slid into Step’s car. When she pulled out, she headed down Franklin.

“I’m glad you’re not walking around with your head down,” she began.

“I feel bad, but I’m not defeated.” She nodded relating that to the fact that he was saying he was strong.

So what will you do now?” she asked with Alicia Keys “Unthinkable” playing in the car.

“I’m going to leave Tennessee in a couple of days.”

“Leaving,” she blurted out. “You just planned this or you leaving because of them?”

“Nah, we had a meeting last week and this might be it.
” Step knew he was referring to the group. She never knew what they did, but she had knew it was illegal. She looked over at him. Time was looking out the passenger window. He was a handsome dark skinned brother, but his years of drug dealing had kept a lot of women away.

“Why you let you beard grow out? You looked depressed.”

“I’m not depressed. I was thinking about changing it up.”

“I think it’s sexier not changing it up.” Time laughed with Step joining in. He then grabbed the box of doughnuts and opened them.

“And you’re going to grab a chocolate one.” Step reached over and took it out of his hands. “Thanks, you should try one of those original ones.”

Damn, you asked me out. I thought, when you asked someone out you were supposed to treat them.”

Not all the time, Time.” He took a bite of an original doughnut to her snicker. He’d forgotten how cool Step had always been. They’d known each other for at least fifteen years. He and her brother Moet used to hustle on the Riverdale until he had gotten killed. She was off at school then. Step turned on Belmont. The only thing that was going on there was the Piccadilly Hotel and the park. Both of them were heavy attractions for lovers.

“You didn’t say why you were leaving.”

“Believe me; it ain’t about Nique and Skillz.”

I don’t believe it.”

“Me neither.” The
Piccadilly appeared on the left. Time thought he would hear the turn signal. There was none. Step continued to drive straight.

So what’s this about? And I hope you weren’t thinking I was going to turn in back there.”

Time laughed.

“Oh you did? Nah.” He remembered that Step was the one that had introduced him and Nique.

“Can I tell you something?”

“I hope so.”

I know you know how to keep your mouth shut.”

“You
’ve already told me the big shit. Right?”

“It depends.

“You
’ve got more secrets,” she looked over at him. “I thought I knew you.”

“You do, but you don’t know how I get down.”

“Let me hear it.” Time grabbed a powdered doughnut from the box. Step looked over to make sure he didn’t touch a chocolate one.

“You know, me and the rest of the people are more than friends.” Step looked at him with a smirk on her face.

“I can tell from what I saw last night.” Time looked at her.

“What did you see
?” he asked curiously.

“Nothing but them kissing
. That’s about it,” she lied. When Tip made a right turn, Time knew she was heading to the park. The park was thin with cars considering it was the summertime. They rolled through until they found a decent place to chill at. Step decided to park by the old telephone booths. An old light pole there still gave off a decent amount of light.

“Anyway, you thinking in riddles,” she resumed. Step killed the ignition, but she let Alicia Keys continue to play.

“Like I...”

Hold up,” Step cut him off. She pulled the latch for the trunk and slipped out. Time looked back to see Step fumbling through it. She was apparently looking for something. Suddenly, the trunk closed and Step made her way back into the driver’s seat. She sighed tiredly with something in her hand.

“What’s that,” Time asked.

“Wine,” she said flatly. “This seems like a good moment to bring the bottles out.” She passed the bottle to him. “You can do the honors. Wine and doughnuts! Don’t knock it boy.”

*****

The only reason Monique called Skillz was because her conscience had been torturing her. She’d had a small guilt trip and she wanted to know if Skillz had known about Time’s father. “What are you doing?” she asked.

“I’m horny. Can you get away?”

              “You’re always horny. I can’t tonight.”

“What’s wrong?” he asked hating to be denied.

“Nothing. I’m just not feeling good.”

“You sick?” “

“I’m a little nauseated that’s all.”

“Where your boy?”

“He said he had to make a run. Probably went to see Twin.” Both of them fell silent until Nique resumed the conversation. “Hey Skillz, can I ask you something?”

“If you come over.”

“I’m serious…”

“Alright. What?”

“You and Time… how long y’all known each other?”

“Since we were in the second grade. You going somewhere with this?”

“It’s nothing really. I was just wondering if you knew about his father.” Skillz thought briefly. “Nah, all I know is his old man is dead.”

“You don’t know how his father was killed?”

“No, you don’t pressure people about death in their family. Shit like that has to come out naturally. Why you ask?”

“Today I was looking through the old files at the department.”

“Whose files?”

“Time’s. I read his father was gunned down one morning when he was walking home from a store. It had said Time was the witness to it. Did you know his father’s killer got away because they said Time’s testimony could not stand in court because he was so young?”

“Damn, you serious?”

“Yeah I’m serious.”

“How old was he?”

“He was four when it happened.” Skillz was silent on the phone just as Monique was. “You still there?” she finally asked. “I’m here. So that’s why you’re feeling bad?”

“Somewhat,” she reluctantly said.

“That’s cool. I kind of feel bad myself. You planning on asking him about it?”

“No! It’s like you said, he’ll talk about it when he’s comfortable.” Skillz wanted to remind her that she had a daughter with Time and she still didn’t know about his past. It was evident; he wasn’t going to talk about it. “You’re talking like you have regret.”

“I’m not saying all that,” she said defensively.

“Look here, I’ve known that boy all his life, and this is the first time I’ve heard this. Sometimes people bury things inside themselves. He’s not going to talk about it.”

“I think you’re right. You’re not mad are you?”

“No, I’m not mad. We’ll see each other tomorrow.”

“Okay.” Monique disconnected the line.

Chapter 20

Nano and Jones were five minutes away from Tracy’s condo. Jones was now headed through East Memphis just passing Henry’s Bakery when Jones first spoke.

“I heard you in there punishing
old girl. I told you Tracy is that girl.” Nano smiled,” I ain’t fucked like that in a long time.”

You know, I know two more girls like Tracy. You should see Angel and what she can do with a pool stick.” Nano looked at him smiling.

“Hell…
yeah,” Jones chuckled. “So… when do you want to start?”

What?”

“No man. I’m asking
when you want to start your new job.”

Nano thought about the lick going down the next day. “Can I
start next week?”

“Whenever you ready. Just don’t be out here
committing any felonies. If you do good, I look good. That’s the motto.”

Nano took it for what it was
. Who could complain with a P.O. like Jones? Jones made a right passing the Kentucky Fried Chicken. “Tip ain’t going to trip on you?” he asked. Nano laughed. “Nah, me and Tip good.” They rode in silence for a block then Nano spoke up. “Yo Jones, how long you been a P.O.?”

“About…,” h
e seemed to be thinking. “Seven years,” he finally said. “You know what,” he continued. “I’ve fucked up so many broads doing this shit.” He reached under the seat. “Roll this for us.”

Nano took the bag they had been dipping out
of earlier. “You should get your record cleared and be a P.O. It definitely has its benefits. I don’t know…” Jones was cut off by the ringing of Nano’s cellphone. Nano pulled it from his pocket and checked the caller ID.

Hold up a sec,” he told Jones.

“Hello…
chilling with Jones…” Nano looked over at his P.O... ”About twenty minutes… alright.” Nano disconnected the line.

“That was
Tip?”

“Yeah.

You got it going on Nano. Not too many get out the joint and have a family.”

I’m not complaining. I have a good woman.”

“She definitely is. I can’t find me one like Tip.”

“You don’t need one; you got all the bad bitches.”

*****

It had been three hours when Step and Time finally left the park. Step was tipsy off the wine drinking the majority of it with two doughnuts. She was just passing the Piccadilly Hotel when Time broke the silence in the car.

“I’m glad you didn’t turn in back there.”

“You wanted me to?” she asked looking seriously into his face.

“Come on Step
.”

“What kind of answer is that?”

“I don’t want to jeopardize a good thing. Especially, when you slizzard on a bottle of wine.”

Step
laughed, “Thanks for respecting me.” They rode on until Step turned into the doughnut shop. “Well…I wish you and the crew luck.”

It’s the group.”

Step giggled.
“Yeah, the group.” Time slipped out of the Lexus and leaned back in the window.

“How do these diamonds look?” Step asked for like the fourth time.
Ever since he told her about them, she had wanted to know how they looked.

“They’re beautiful.”

“I can’t believe this. All the while, I’m thinking y’all just hanging out. Now I know y’all on some Robin Hood shit. Damn and Nique ain’t tell me.”

“Nique ain’t told
me you a lot of things. Anyway, I really enjoyed the date.”

“Date! People kiss on a date. We didn’t.”

“I know. You’re drunk. Maybe we’ll celebrate after this one is over.” Time held out his fist to her. “I’d like that,” she said and pounded him up. “You need me to follow you home?” he asked her. “No! You might want to come in and take advantage of me.” Time laughed and headed to the Caprice.

Time’s drive
to the house had been a slow one by choice. It had given him a moment to reevaluate his life. He turned the Caprice into the driveway and killed the ignition. The television was on illuminating the front room of the house. He slid out of the car just as a blue Mustang was passing by with its music blasting. Time didn’t even look up to see who it was. He was more into collecting his thoughts about Monique if she should question his whereabouts. He walked up the wooden stairway thinking of an escape route. When he turned the doorknob and walked inside, it was what he expected. Monique was on the couch waiting. He sighed and closed the door. When he made his next inspection, he could see that he was mistaken. Monique was waiting on him, but she must have fallen asleep doing so. He walked to the television and turned it down. He then walked into the bedroom and closed the door behind himself. Time dropped down on the bed and kicked off his 96 Jordan’s. He then laid across the bed and closed his eyes. “It feels good to be alone,” he thought.
