She nods her head to the left of us. “Gotta love the freshman football players. Poor newbies.”
When I still look confused, she goes on to explain, “It’s pretty much their job to keep the more senior players on the team happy. Which means Dylan. And since its Dylan’s job to keep me happy, that extends to me.” She grins before taking a huge gulp. “And you.” Tilting her cup towards me, she says, “Cheers to you being home where you belong!” Then she knocks it into mine. Beer sloshes over the rims of both our cups.
Taking a healthy drink, I feel everything within me finally start to relax. This day has been a total shit show. But I’m not going to think about that right now. I’m going to focus on cutting loose and having some fun tonight. “Thanks, Lex, I missed you, too.”
My eyes stray to all the gyrating bodies writhing away in the dining room. The music is pumping, the lights are low, and I’m totally feeling it. Downing the rest of my beer in one fell swoop, I grab hold of Lexie’s hand before dragging her towards the make shift dance floor.
Yep, this night has nowhere to go but up.
Roan King was just spotted disappearing upstairs with three very lucky ladies… It’s nice to see that the King of Campus is back in full force and spreading the love around! KingOfCampus.com
Roan
At this point, I’ve pretty much stopped trying to tear my eyes away from her. Because every time I make a concerted effort to do so, they somehow find their way right back to her again.
The attraction currently humming through my body is completely baffling. This girl isn’t even my usual type. Like at all.
For one thing, she’s got a ton of attitude. Can’t exactly say I’ve ever stumbled across that before. And she doesn’t want anything to do with me either. Which is another first. I probably shouldn’t enjoy needling her as much as I do. But I just can’t seem to help myself, it’s so damn easy. Not to mention entertaining.
Trying to be objective, I allow my eyes to slide slowly over her body. The girl is all long lean lines with a high tight ass. I’m the first one to admit I usually go for a girl with a lot of soft curves. Big breasts, small nipped in waist, and a nicely rounded ass. This one- Ivy- isn’t built like that at all.
She looks kind of… well…
flat.
Plus, there’s no ass to speak of.
But she’s got legs for miles. I think they might actually start under her armpits.
And yet there’s something about her. Something that has my eyes constantly shifting back to her. Like a puzzle I can’t quite solve. Apparently I won’t be letting this go until I either figure it out or fuck her.
As much as I would like to just fuck her and move on, I don’t think that’s going to happen. Although I could be wrong. For all I know, this could be some big show she’s putting on. Playing hard to get or some shit like that.
You know what the most hilarious part of today has been?
As soon as I’d walked into my business ethics class, I’d spotted her with her hand covering her face like she was actually trying to hide from me.
Even now my lips twitch as I think about it.
Fucking cute as hell. Seriously.
Instead of outing her, I’d let her sit there for the remainder of class thinking I didn’t have a clue she was there. Like she’d gotten one over on me. There were a few times I could actually feel her eyes on me. All I’d wanted to do was turn around and meet her gaze. But I didn’t. I just let her look her fill.
So after class let out, I waited around for her. But that hadn’t exactly gone the way I’d expected it to. I thought she’d be into spending a few hours together. After all, I could tell when she’d spilled her coffee all over me that she was checking me out and liked what she saw.
Yeah… that offer had only seemed to piss her off.
The girl has some spunk, I’ll give her that.
“Dude, I don’t like the look on your face.”
My eyes slide to Dylan who has apparently sidled up to me while I was zoning out, thinking about Ivy.
Going for nonchalant, I shrug my shoulders. “What are you talking about?”
He nods his head towards the girls who are currently out there dancing their proverbial asses off. Even though Dylan self admittedly doesn’t have any moves whatsoever, he isn’t about to leave his woman out there unattended. They’ve already drawn quite a crowd of horny guys.
And who can blame those dudes?
Both of them are sexy as hell. Lexie with all her sweet curves and Ivy with her tight athletic body moving with so much grace that it’s completely mesmerizing.
Well, I’m completely mesmerized by it.
I take a quick peek around me, noticing that I’m not the only one checking her out. My hand tightens around the green glass bottle I’m holding.
“Screwing around with her, dude, it’s a bad idea.”
I take a long pull from my beer not really wanting to hear what Dylan has to say on the subject. In all honesty, Dylan doesn’t give a damn if I fuck Ivy. He only cares that fucking her could somehow inadvertently effect his relationship with Lexie. If I screw over her friend, he’s going to end up hearing about it.
Apparently my poker face isn’t what it used to be because he keeps on yammering. “Lexie will kick your ass if you mess with Ivy. You know that, right?”
Yeah… he’s not lying either.
Lexie will seriously do it. She might be small and pixie-like but she can get her crazy on. I’ve seen her go ape-shit. Plenty of times. It’s not pretty. Although, if it’s not happening to you specifically, then it’s pretty damn funny. You can just sit back and enjoy the show.
Been there, done that.
Even though I should keep on denying it, I hear myself asking, “What if she’s into it?”
Because come on… they’re
always
into it. I’ve yet to meet a girl not into getting it on.
My eyes continue sliding over her. The fluid way she moves her body has my balls tightening and my cock stirring with interest. I bet she’s a freaking wildcat in bed… I wonder if she can bend her body into a whole bunch of sexy positions.
Yeah… I should probably stop thinking about that while I’m standing around here with Dylan.
He starts to chuckle before lifting a bottle to his lips and taking a long pull. “Yeah. She’s into you alright. I’ve never seen a girl want you
less.
It’s actually pretty fucking hilarious. Don’t think I’m not totally loving it, dude.” He laughs again before his brows snap together and the smile falls clean off his face. “That’s it, isn’t it?”
I shoot him a look. “What the hell are you talking about?”
“She doesn’t want you.” He groans, “Christ… she’s a challenge.”
Since I can’t exactly deny that he’s wrong, I don’t say anything at all. It’s called plausible deniability.
“Hey, King.”
A pretty little blonde wraps herself around me. I give her an easy smile as my eyes flick over the rest of her. Now this girl is definitely my type. Curvy and filled out in all the right places. A tight little pink t-shirt with some Greek letters stretches its way over her nicely rounded titties all the while showcasing a fair amount of cleavage.
I should totally be into this girl.
And yet, for some reason, my eyes stray back to the writhing twisting bodies about twenty feet away from me. Specifically zeroing in on Ivy. Some dude has come up behind her and has his hands on her narrow waist. Instantly forgetting about the blonde nestled against me, I almost start out there when I see Ivy wiggle out of his grasp before sliding away.
“King?”
Blondie strokes her small hand slowly up my chest as my eyes once again find hers.
She’s certainly pretty, I’ll give her that. And on any other night, I’d be giving her a lot more than that. But I’m just not feeling it tonight. Which is definitely strange, to say the least.
Unsure what to do, I take another drink of my beer. Normally this would be the point in the evening where I wait for some chick to come on to me before finding a room upstairs to fool around in.
But I already know that’s not going to happen as my gaze settles on Ivy.
For whatever reason, this girl who isn’t even my type, is throwing off my whole game tonight. I don’t like it. I think Dylan is right- she’s the first girl in I-don’t-know-how-long, maybe ever, who isn’t interested in being boned by me. Which, unfortunately, has me losing interest in all the other willing prospects craving my attention. Of which there are many.
That’s some seriously perverse shit… right?
I’m no psychology major, but I’m pretty sure there’s a name for wanting something you can’t have. Although, quite honestly, I plan to have her. Hopefully tonight. This whole- I-don’t-want-you shtick she’s got going on is probably just that-
a shtick
.
“Hey, King, missed you over the summer.”
Another hot chick has sidled up and is currently pressing her double D’s against the side of my arm. I’m not complaining, I’m just saying. They both stare up at me with longing and promise in their heated gazes.
I should really just take the pair of them upstairs and give them what they want.
Except… I know it’s not really me they want. They want Roan King- the Barnett football star. The guy who will hopefully go in the first round of the NFL draft later this year. They want a piece of my notoriety. They want to be balled by the King of Campus.
Yeah, yeah… I know, boo-hoo. Poor fucking Roan.
You know what? A year ago, two years ago, that shit wouldn’t have bothered me at all. It didn’t make one damn bit of difference why these girls were spreading their legs so easily. I just enjoyed that they were.
Trust me… I enjoyed it every single weekend. Sometimes several times a weekend.
But now… it just feels old and tired. If you can actually believe that. I know… it’s difficult to wrap your mind around.
All these faceless strangers wanting to hang out with me all the time. But they don’t know me. Hell, they don’t know anything about me. Not the
real
me. I could be a freaking serial killer for all they care. They wouldn’t give one damn shit.
Do you know how seriously messed up that is?
My eyes shift from the blonde clinging to me to the gorgeous brunette curled up under my other arm. It’s obvious they would be willing to screw me together. Hell, they’d probably get off on it. One would be snapping action shots while the other was getting her brains fucked out. And the photos would end up plastered across that dumbass website that seems to shadow my every move.
I’m not going to lie, just like all the easy chicks and my NFL prospect notoriety, the website devoted solely to me, was, at first, flattering. Now it just irritates the hell out of me. I’ve had my ass chewed out by coach on more than one occasion for having pictures of me partying or getting it on with some random chick posted to the site or someone’s Facebook page or Instagram.
So now I have to be more careful. I’ve started wearing a ball cap so I can move around campus unnoticed. It’s completely ridiculous.
Even I know I’m not that fucking interesting.
I came here tonight prepared to celebrate the kick off to yet another great year of college. Probably my last. I was going to down a few beers, maybe get laid, but I don’t think that’s going to happen anymore. Even though I have two beautiful women wrapped up in my arms, screwing them is the last thing on my mind.
Like a heat seeking missile, my eyes zero in on the reason for my sudden disinterest.
That’s the moment I see that fuckwad lacrosse player, Finn McKenzie, dragging Ivy away from where she’d just been dancing. Damn, I should have never taken my eyes off her.
“Hey,” Blondie gasps as I pull away from the pair of them without any explanation.
“King!” The brunette whines, “Where are you going? I thought we were going to-”
Not wanting to take my eyes off her again, I throw a halfhearted apology over my shoulder. “Sorry, ladies. A friend needs me.”
Well… that statement is entirely up for interpretation.
What I’ve learned about Ivy is that she can be prickly and isn’t impressed by my status like everyone else seems to be. And until I get a handle on what my game plan with her is, I’m not about to watch some douchebag player like Finn McKenzie swoop in and steal her away.
Now, once I’m finished with her, he’s more than welcome to take her off my hands...
Even though this party is jammed packed, the crowd parts so that I have a clear path leading straight to Ivy. People are slapping my shoulder and back in greeting as I pass by. I don’t bother acknowledging any of them. My eyes are totally focused on the way Finn is manhandling her upper arm.
I don’t like it. Not one damn bit.
That’s just one of the many differences between McKenzie and me. He’s all brute strength and I’m all finesse. Unless we’re on the football field. Then I’ll pound your ass just for looking at me sideways.
