Gripped by a kind of desire
that was completely overwhelming, Molly lay back as Dom kissed her, making love
to her with his mouth. She’d never been kissed so wonderfully, or thoroughly,
and she slowly relaxed. When he moved his head lower to brush tiny kisses
across her breasts, she whimpered with pleasure. It was wonderful torture, and
it made her ache for him. He used his fingers to bring her the kind of pleasure
she’d never dreamed of. A simple brush of his finger across her cheek left her
breathless; this was tenderness she’d never experienced and she felt tears
stinging her eyes.

“What’s the matter, baby?”
Dom paused, his face inches from hers, his dark eyes filled with concern.

“You’re just so wonderful,”
she whispered. “I’m terrified of the things you make me feel. Before I met you,
I didn’t care about anything, but now I’m terrified that I might have to go
back to a life without you. I think that would kill me long before Tim ever
could.”

“You’re not going back to
that life,” he said firmly, taking her chin in his fingers and forcing her to
meet his gaze directly. “Do you believe me?”

“I believe you mean it, but
I don’t know if anyone can stop him.”

“I can. I will.” He kissed
her again, gently and repeatedly, until he was sure she wasn’t thinking of
anything but him.

When she was panting and
breathless, Dom kissed a trail up her stomach, leaving her shuddering with
pleasure. He focused on her most sensitive parts—her neck, the spot just behind
her ear, and then her breasts. He could feel her heart pounding in her chest
and he reached up to move her thick, silky hair off her face.

“Don’t be nervous, babe.”

“Can’t help it,” she
murmured. “This is exciting and terrifying at the same time.”

“Never be terrified when
you’re with me.” He touched her face and then stroked her hair, kissing her
everywhere except on the mouth as he struggled to keep his own desire under
control.

It had been years since
Molly had been excited about sex. Losing her virginity to Tim had been
underwhelming. Then he’d insisted on doing it every day the first few months of
their marriage, never really giving her sore private parts time to heal. He
wasn’t big on foreplay, so her readiness for him had been mild, at best, and it
always hurt at least a little. That was definitely not the case now.

When his lips found her
breasts she lost herself in the sensations of his velvety tongue. His mouth was
so gentle it sent shivers down her spine. Her nipples puckered against him and
he continued to suckle first one and then the other, until they were heavy and
sensitive. She moaned with need, fingers buried in his long hair. He kissed his
way down her stomach, lingering after each kiss so that she vibrated against
his mouth. When he gripped the edge of her panties with his teeth, she sighed
heavily. He pulled them off carefully, looking up to find her watching him. Her
lips were parted slightly, her eyes hooded.

With a smile, he kissed the
inside of her thigh and used his fingers to slowly part the petals of her sex.
He felt her sharp intake of breath and made sure to take his time; he had no
doubt that no one had ever done this for her before. Using his tongue, he
slowly licked the spot where his fingers had just been and he felt her tense.

“Just relax, baby. I won’t
hurt you.”

“I know.” Her breath caught.
“I just—” She gasped as he spread her thighs wider and buried himself between
her legs. “Oh!” She grabbed the sheets, her hips shooting up against him.

The things he did with his
tongue made stars float in front of her eyes, and she didn’t know how much she
could stand. Nothing had ever felt this good, and she couldn’t believe he
seemed to know exactly how to make her quiver with need. He made swirls with
his tongue, kissing and licking until she was bucking under his mouth.

“Dom!” She could barely
move; the pleasure was so intense.

Knowing she was close, he
found her clit and sucked it between his lips. Without warning, she shattered
against him, crying out his name over and over as she rode the waves of her
orgasm. Refusing to move away, he continued his assault, making the pressure
lighter now because she was so sensitive. She whispered his name, clawing at
him.

“Once more, baby,” he
instructed, fucking her with his tongue.

“Oh, no, I can’t…” she
gasped. It felt so damn good she wasn’t sure how much more she could take.

“Yeah, you can.” He just
kept going, sliding a finger inside of her at the same time. He could feel her
shaking, her soaking pussy milking him with urgency. When her second orgasm
overcame her, she went wild, unable to control herself. Holding her in place,
he rode it with her until she finally threw her arm across her eyes.

“Oh, my God.”

“What?” he laughed. He moved
across her body and found her lips.

She turned away, embarrassed
for him to kiss her after doing that, but he moved her hands and claimed her
tongue. “You don’t like how you taste?” he whispered. “Well, I do. I could do
that
all
fucking day.”

She sighed, giving in to the
pleasure he brought her. “I’ve never done that,” she admitted.

“I know,” he ran his hands
on her soft, round ass. “And I loved being the first man to make you come like
that.”

“You’re the first man to
make me come, period,” she whispered against his mouth. “I never had an orgasm
before.”

“Not even by yourself?” he
asked in surprise.

She shook her head. “Tim
said that was a sin. He’s Catholic.”

“He’s an idiot,” he
muttered.

She reached out to cup his
erection in her hand. She ran her hand along it, not surprised that he was so
much bigger than Tim. It was almost frightening, thinking about something that
big being inside her, but she couldn’t wait. Being with him had changed
everything she knew about sex and now she was dying to discover more.

“I want to make you feel as
good as you just made me feel,” she whispered. “But I don’t know if I know
how.”

“As you can see,” he glanced
down. “You’re doing a great job.”

“I want to… you know…” Her
voice trailed off and she hated how unsure she was.

“Are you embarrassed, baby?”
He met her gaze. “Why does my lovemaking embarrass you?”

“I don’t know,” she
whispered. “I’m afraid of doing something wrong.”

He laughed softly. “That’s
not even possible.” Opening the condom package he’d left beside them, he rolled
it on in one fluid motion. Then he kissed her again, burying his tongue in her
mouth and drawing a whimper that told him she wasn’t nearly finished yet. He
pushed her back and crawled over her. Clasping both of her hands in one of his,
he pinned them above her head and poised himself between her legs. He claimed
her lips again as he slowly slid into her hot, wet sheath. She exclaimed softly
at the intrusion; she wasn’t used to anyone so big and he paused, letting her
adjust to how it felt to stretch around him.

She moaned deep in her throat,
her hips arching towards his. Moving slowly, he began to thrust in and out with
practiced strokes that had her straining at her hands.

“Dom!” She writhed under
him, her eyes glassy. “Oh, God, please…”

“Please what?” he whispered
against her mouth. “Harder? Faster? What do you want?”

“Harder,” she begged.

He was happy to comply;
being gentle felt great but it had also been killing him. She was so tight it
was like having a tiny vise around his cock. He picked up the pace, driving
into her heated flesh until he felt her starting to tighten around him. He had
to let go of her hands so he could leverage himself better, and now her nails
dug into his back as she let out a strangled scream.

“Dom! Dom!” She lost
control, her third climax hitting her so hard she felt heat searing her skin.
He pumped faster, sliding his hands under her sweet ass to grip her against him
as tightly as possible. He could feel his balls drawing up and knew he was
lost. With a growl, he slammed into her one final time before he was spiraling
into wonderful oblivion. It wasn’t like any sex he’d ever had before, and there
was no doubt in his mind she owned him now.

“Damn, baby.” He rested his
forehead against hers.

“You can say that again.”
Her eyes met his with so much desire; he couldn’t stop from kissing her again.

“Are you okay? Was I too
rough?”

“No.” She shook her head
slowly. “You were perfect. I just have one question.”

“Yeah?” He looked down
curiously.

“Can you do that again?”

He laughed, rolling onto his
side and pulling her with him. “As many times as you want.”

Chapter 9

After five glorious days in
Coronado and San Diego, they headed back to Las Vegas. It was Sunday, so
traffic was a little heavy and it was late when they got home. Dumping a load
of laundry in the washing machine, Molly made short work of getting them
unpacked while Dom took a shower. They’d had dinner on the road and she was
ready to crawl into bed and sleep. It occurred to her that the guest room was
technically her room, and she wasn’t sure where she was supposed to go after
sleeping next to Dom for five nights.

But with bravery she didn’t
know she had, she pulled on the pretty nightgown Suze had made her buy but
she’d been too shy to bring to San Diego. After five days of being ravished by
him in bed, she worked up the courage to crawl into his bed and wait for him.

She was on her phone texting
Suze when Dom came out with nothing but a towel on. He looked her up and down
with a smile of appreciation.

“Hi.” She crooked a finger
at him.

“Hi.” He went and sat on the
edge of the bed, letting her pull him closer for a kiss.

“I wasn’t sure where I was
supposed to sleep, but decided I liked your bed better than mine.” She gave him
an impish grin.

“Works for me.” He kissed
her once more before standing up. “Give me another minute and I’ll be right
in.”

Molly put her phone on the
nightstand, and pulled the sheet over her as she inhaled the smell of his
aftershave on the pillows. Comfortable and relaxed, she fell fast asleep.

When she opened her eyes in
the morning, she didn’t know where she was at first. Slowly it came back to her
and she felt Dom’s warm body beside her, his arm thrown over her waist. Closing
her eyes to enjoy the moment, she smiled to herself, thinking he continued to
make her life as perfect as it had ever been.

While they were in San
Diego, they’d talked at length about ways for her to protect herself. He’d
bought her a second disposable cell phone, and they’d agreed she would have it
somewhere on her body whenever she was not with him, Toli or Cody. Her regular
cell phone, the one he’d given her that was linked to his account, was
separate, and she would keep it in her purse or wherever she wanted. The second
phone would always be kept on another part of her body and always powered on.
On the chance that Tim grabbed her, he would probably take away her purse and
any phone he found in it, but he might not think to search her for a second
phone. Dom’s, Suze’s and Toli’s were the only numbers in it, and they were on
speed dial. They’d also come up with special codes for her to text in an
emergency. Even if Tim or one of his friends saw that she’d sent a text, they
wouldn’t be able to identify it as a call for help.

Feeling safer than she had
since she’d moved in with him, she slipped out of bed and went into the
bathroom to wash her face and brush her teeth. She pulled her hair up in a
messy ponytail and then stepped out and picked up her phone. Dom was still
asleep, so she padded into the kitchen to make coffee and maybe breakfast, if
there was any food that hadn’t gone bad while they were away.

Her phone buzzed, alerting
her to a text and she glanced down to see Suze’s name pop up.

Can you come over today?
We’re going to tell Brad and Andra about CJ—I could really use your support!

She typed back hurriedly.
Dom
has anger mgmt and then a meeting with his psych. I’ll see if he can drop me
off before he goes. What time?

As soon as you can get here!
They’re coming for lunch… If he doesn’t have time, I can send Cody to get you!

I’ll text you back.

Molly finished making the
coffee and then poured a cup for each of them before heading back to the
bedroom. She hated to wake Dom, but Suze needed her and she knew he would need
time to take her to Suze’s house and then get back to his anger management
class, which was just down the street from their apartment.

She put the coffee on the
nightstand and then leaned over to nuzzle his neck, just as his arms snaked out
to grab her and pull her on top of him. She shrieked with delight, laughing as
he kissed her.

“Thought you were going to
sneak off, did you?” he laughed.

“I made coffee,”

“I guess I’ll have some
then.” He paused to kiss her. “Good morning.”

“Good morning.” She smiled
down at him before handing him his coffee cup.

“You’re bouncing,” he
murmured, taking a sip of coffee. “What’s up?”

“Suze and Cody invited Brad
and Andra for lunch. They’re going to introduce CJ to them. Suze asked me if I
would be there for support. Do you have time to drop me off before your class?”

He glanced at the clock.
“We’ll have to get a move on.”

“She said Cody could come
get me.”

“I don’t mind taking you,
but you’ll need to hop in the shower right now.”

“Okay.” She got up and
glanced over her shoulder. “Coming?”

“I took a shower last
night!”

She met his gaze, arching
her eyebrows, and he sat up. “But I guess you can never be too clean.”

Molly and Suze sat in the
kitchen talking quietly as they waited for Brad and Andra. Suze was a nervous
wreck, wringing her hands and pacing back and forth. Cody had disappeared
upstairs with CJ, playing a game with him to keep him out of Suze’s hair while
she mentally prepared herself.

“I’m not worried about me,”
she confided to Molly. “I’m more worried about Cody—he gave up a good position
in Toronto. He was a fan favorite, and got along great with everyone in the
organization. If Brad and Andra are really angry with me, I don’t want Brad to
make Cody’s life hell.”

“If they make Cody
miserable, he’ll get himself traded and take their grandson somewhere far
away,” Molly pointed out. “Besides, it’s not like you knew he was Brian’s ahead
of time. Since you and Cody were drunk, it was entirely feasible that you
hadn’t used protection.”

“I know, but I’m going to
die
talking about details like that,” Suze buried her head in her hands. “I feel
like I’m going to puke.”

“Have a glass of wine,”
Molly went to the refrigerator and pulled out a bottle of chardonnay. “It will
calm your nerves.”

“Maybe half a glass.”

Molly got out a glass and
poured two inches of liquid into the glass. Suze grabbed it and downed it like
she was dying of thirst.

“All righty, then,” Molly
chuckled. “You need to chill. It’s 11:51, so they will be here any minute. I’m
going upstairs to play with CJ. Call when you’re ready for me to bring him
down.”

“Thanks.” Suze watched Molly
disappear up the stairs and a moment later she could hear Cody pounding back
down. He came into the kitchen, took one look at her face and pulled her close.

“Suze, you have to relax.
Whatever happens, we’re in this together. I’ve got your back. I’ll always have
your back.”

“What if he says he doesn’t
want you to play for him?”

“Technically, I have a
contract and he can’t just kick me off the team because of a personal matter.
He can make me
want
to quit, but he can’t fire me. And if he goes that
route, I’ll go back to Toronto and they’ll never get to see their grandson
again.”

She smiled wanly. “You can
be fiercely overprotective.”

The doorbell rang and he
brushed a kiss on the top of her head. “It’s going to be fine.” He winked
before heading to open the door.

Suze heard Brad and Andra in
the foyer and took a deep breath, getting a pitcher of raspberry iced tea out
of the refrigerator. There were already glasses out and she forced a smile as
she greeted them and poured drinks. They settled in the family room and Suze
nearly had to sit on her hands to keep them from shaking. Seeing her dilemma,
Cody took one of her hands in his and squeezed tightly.

“I’m so glad that we finally
got a chance to come over,” Andra said brightly. “I’ve been looking forward to
meeting CJ!”

“That’s actually what we
wanted to talk to you about,” Suze said, deciding to jump right in.

“Pardon?” Brad glanced at
her with a confused frown.

“When I found out I was
pregnant, I was mortified,” Suze continued, looking down. “I couldn’t believe
what Cody and I had done the night of Brian’s funeral. It was so embarrassing,
but there was never a question of whether or not I was going to keep the baby.”

“Suzanne, you know Brad and
I understood all of that.” Andra cocked her head slightly. “That can’t be what
this is about.”

“Not entirely.” Suze lifted
her gaze. “CJ was born a week early, and he had bright blue eyes, just like me
and Cody.” She swallowed. “But after he was a year old, his eyes started to
change.”

“That happens all the time,”
Andra said. “What color are they now?”

“They’re Brian’s eyes,” Suze
whispered.

Brad gaped. “Brian’s eyes?”

“Brian and I made love the
morning of the day he died, April first. We buried him on April sixth, which is
the night Cody and I had sex. There were only five days between the two times,
and Brian and I always used protection. Cody and I were so drunk, I was sure
that it had been
his
mistake, not Brian’s. CJ was almost two before we
had him tested.” She blinked back tears.

Andra gasped, her hand
flying to her mouth. “You mean—” She looked at her husband. “What is she trying
to tell us?”

Brad was choked up too. “I
think, maybe, she’s telling us that CJ is Brian’s son.”

“When we found out, I was
mortified all over again,” Suze had tears streaming down her face. “I kept
telling Cody I would tell you in my own time, but the time was never right.”

“Until now,” Cody put in,
pulling her close as she wept against his chest.

“I’m sorry,” she whispered.
“I wasn’t trying to keep him from you; I just didn’t know how to tell you what
a mess I’d made!”

Andra was crying too, with
Brad putting his arms around her. No one said anything for a long time.
Finally, Andra looked up and around the room. “Is he here? Can we meet him?”

“You both have to stop
crying first,” Brad insisted, swiping at his own eyes. “We’re don’t want to
traumatize the boy.”

Suze got up and brought a
box of tissues. “I’m sorry,” she said to Andra. “I’m really sorry.”

“I don’t even know what to
say,” Andra sniffed. “We’ve lost all these years with our grandson...”

“You should have come to
me!” Brad looked at Cody sternly. “Even though you knew the women weren’t going
to handle it well, you should have come to me.”

“I know,” Cody sighed. “But
I was caught between you and my wife—and I’ve done enough to hurt her already.”

“It wasn’t Cody’s fault!”
Suze interjected. “I asked him to let me tell you in my own time, and then I
didn’t… Don’t be mad at him.”

“We’re not mad,” Andra said
quietly, looking at her husband. “But we’re so very disappointed—in both of
you. How could you do this? You had to know how much it would have meant to us
to have Brian’s child in our lives.”

“He was two before we knew
for sure, which was almost three years after Brian died,” said Cody.

“It’s still not right,” Brad
replied

“Nothing about this was
right,” Suze swallowed hard. “I know that, but I’m trying to make it right
now.”

“So you want us to move on
as if nothing happened?” Brad was still staring hard at Cody.

“Well, either we move on or
Suze and I pack up and go back to Toronto,” said Cody. “I came here for you and
Dom, but if this changes your feelings for me, I’m pretty sure they still want
me elsewhere.”

“It doesn’t change our
feelings for you!” Andra smacked her husband’s arm and looked at them. “You’re
not going anywhere!” She gave her husband a stern look. “We’re just
surprised—it never occurred to us that the child might be Brian’s.”

“Now you have time to get to
know him,” Suze interrupted, looking from one to the other. “Cody and I have
had problems but—”

“Cody, that’s something else
we need to talk about. I won’t have the captain of my team running around with
puck bunnies behind his wife’s back,” Brad said with a scowl. “It’s not right,
and that’s not the image we want to portray.”

“Nah, Coach. That’s been
done for a while now. Suze and I are working on our marriage, and there are no
other women.”

There was a small awkward
silence before Brad got up and walked around. “This is still a real slap in the
face, Cody.”

“I’m sorry, Coach.” Cody
stood up and looked at the older man. “I wanted to tell you so many times, but
she asked me not to. What would you have done if Andra had asked something of
you that was so important to her?”

Brad looked out the window
at the bright sun. He’d missed his son every single day for more than seven
years, and finding out he had a grandchild was both a blessing and a curse. He
had no doubt seeing the child would bring back all the pain of losing Brian,
but at the same time they now had a piece of him. Maybe that would fill the
gaping hole in his heart.
