“Not now?” I growl at her.

She bursts out laughing. “No, not now you goof.” She laughing so hard she starts to cough and her muscles clench around my dick.
Ahh, shit.
I bite down so hard on my lip I can taste blood, I close my eyes and pant. I can’t move. If I move I’m gonna shoot my load.

“Are you okay Kayden?”

I rest my forehead against the cool wall, I don’t want this to be over yet, I need to calm myself. “Yeah,” I mutter as I slowly pump my hips into her. “I never knew a cough could almost make me come.” My comment starts her off laughing, and then coughing again. I grit my teeth and grip her butt tighter, thrusting harder, her fingers dig into my shoulders and I’m slicked with sweat. She rests her head back and I watch as my thrusts make her slide up and down against the wall. I hope I’m not hurting her but I can’t stop, I can’t stop. Her eyes are closed and she’s taking short, quick breaths. Her thighs squeeze my hips as she groans and shudders against me and with one last thrust I lose it. I arch my back as I cry out her name and then collapse against her, resting my sweaty forehead against the wall.

We stay, holding each other for a while, until my arms start to ache again, maybe they were the whole time and I didn’t notice. I lower her to the floor, her legs are wobbly and she clings to me. Her gaze falls to my neck; she strokes her fingers across my skin and smiles. “I think I did a good job Kayden.” I frown at her, I dunno what she’s talking about. “You said you wanted me to mark you,” she says.

Oh, she’s talking about a hickey. “Is it big?” I ask, grinning at her.

“They are.”

They?
“How many are there?” I ask her.

“Three,” she says. I pull her closer and crush her to me.

We lie on the floor. She’s on top of me, her head resting on my chest. Her beautiful, long hair is spread out over my arm; I close my eyes and stroke my fingers through it. Bailey can do what she wants to me, there’s no way I’m cheating on my Savannah.

CHAPTER NINE

Savannah

We’ve at the laundry and I’m pleased to see that Jack is working again today. There are some things I don’t like about him but he’s kinder than any of the other guards. He puts Reece and the other slave on washing; Kayden and I work on the press. Kayden winces as he reaches up for the handle. “Are your arms still sore sweetheart?” I ask him.

He nods his head. “Yeah, a bit but I’ll be okay.”

“How about I do that and you put the sheets on the press. All I need is something to stand on.”

“Thanks, baby.” He smiles at me. He brings over an empty metal tub and flips it upside down. “That should be safe to stand on,” he says. It is and I’m now the perfect height. As I reach up for the handle I feel Kayden’s arms snake around my waist. He rests his head on my back.

“Slave. Get your filthy hands off her.” I feel Kayden stiffen behind me and his arms slip from my waist. I turn my head sharply and see Jack standing there. He’s glaring at Kayden. “She’s not a slave; she’s human, so keep your filthy paws off her.”

“I am a slave right now,” I tell Jack.

He looks at me and shakes his head. “You shouldn’t be here, not with these animals,” he says. “And why are you doing that?” Jack points to the handle of the press. “Why isn’t he doing it?”

“His arms are sore and I offered to do it,” I tell him. “I don’t mind doing it.”

He raises his eyebrows at Kayden. “Work too hard for the poor diddums, makes his arms sore does it?”

Kayden scowls at him and clenches his fists. I place my hand on his arm, hoping to calm him down. I don’t want him to get punished for doing something stupid.

“No,” I tell him. “His arms are sore because he got punished yesterday.”

“Hmm, well I’m sure it was deserved. Get down from there, let him do it.”

I shake my head. “No, I’m fine.”

“I said get down.”

I step down from the tub; I still have my hand on Kayden’s arm. His body is tense and he’s glaring at the floor. I know he’s trying to control his temper. I reach for his hand and squeeze it, his eyes meet mine. “Come with me,” Jack says to me. “Slave, finish this up on your own.”

Frowning, I follow Jack to the door. Kayden stares at me. I don’t know what to tell him because I don’t know what’s going on. Jack takes me outside and leads me through the courtyard and through to the reception. Is he taking me to the manager? My palms are sweating.

The guard behind the desk looks at me strangely as we pass but he doesn’t say anything. Jack opens a door off of the reception and leads me through to a canteen. Two women guards are sitting at a table eating breakfast; they stop talking and stare at me. Jack says good morning to them, they acknowledge him and return to their conversation. Why has he brought me here? I shouldn’t be in here, this looks like a staff canteen. He points to a table near the door and tells me to sit down. I do as he says but I feel awkward, I hope I don’t get in trouble for this. He returns from the counter with croissants and fresh orange juice, along with two cups of coffee. “Do you like cream and sugar in your coffee?” he asks me.

“Just cream please.”

He pushes one of the croissants towards me. “Eat. You must be hungry.” I nod and take a sip of the orange juice, it’s good. It doesn’t take me long to polish off the croissant but the highlight for me is the coffee; it’s been so long since I’ve had one. He’s looking at me with a serious expression on his face. “Don’t be so nervous. I’m not trying to come on to you.” I stare at him wide eyed, that thought never crossed my mind. Maybe it should have, maybe I’m naive but I thought I was in trouble. “I’m happily married and I’ve got two daughters about your age, you remind me a lot of my youngest one,” he says, he sips his coffee. “I keep thinking, if it were my daughter who was in a place like this, I’d want someone to watch out for her.”

I start to relax and smile at him. “Thank you. Do your daughters live with you?” As soon as the question leaves my mouth I regret it. I forgot to ask for permission to speak and I don’t even know if I should be speaking to him but I relax again as he smiles back at me.

“No, they both have homes of their own. My eldest is married and I have an adorable two year old Grandson. My youngest works for a law firm, she’s doing well for herself.” He finishes his coffee. “Do you smoke?” he asks me.

“Erm…yes, but I don’t have any.”

“Let’s go outside, you can have one of mine.”

My body has kind of got used to not having nicotine and I don’t think about smoking as much as I used to, but occasionally I still crave one, so I don’t hesitate to follow him. He leads me to an area outside the canteen. We’re still within the compound and surrounded by razor wire but this area is fenced off, it’s obviously just for staff. He hands me a cigarette and holds out his lighter. I take a long drag and immediately feel dizzy; I lean back against the wall for support. I’ve missed smoking, I take another drag.

“I don’t understand what you’re doing here,” he says.

“I asked to come here.”

He frowns at me. “Now why would you do a silly thing like that?”

“Because I wanted to be with Kayden.”

“Who’s Kayden?” he asks.

“The slave,” I reply, “the one you told not to touch me.”

He stares at me. “How do you know the slave?”

I take another long drag of my smoke. “My brother owned him.”

He throws his cigarette to the floor and grinds it out. “You were lonely I suppose.”

After being without a cigarette for so long I intend smoking mine right down to the filter. “Not lonely but I’d left an abusive boyfriend. Kayden showed me what love really is.” I take one last drag before putting out my cigarette.

“Hmm, you were vulnerable and it took advantage of you, manipulated you into having feelings for it. They’re good at that.” He opens the door to the canteen. “It wasn’t worth your time yet you followed it here, that’s tragic. The piece of filth probably doesn’t even feel any remorse.”

I follow him through the door. “He didn’t even know I was coming here. He was willing to die to protect me, he’s a good person.”

Jack shakes his head. “You can’t trust them. I’ve been working with them for over twenty-five years and I’ve seen it all. They’re masters at manipulation. I’m sad that a nice girl like you got sucked in.”

I don’t say anything else, his mind is set and I’m not going to be able to change it. I know I can trust Kayden, it doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks.

CHAPTER TEN

Kayden

“They’ve been gone a long time,” Reece says. I turn around to see him smirking at me. “I bet they’re having hot, sweaty sex in the store cupboard.”

I force a smile to my face. “Jealous much, Reece. Wish it was you do you?”

“Once she’s had a taste of him, she won’t want you no more,” he says.

“She won’t want you either. Bailey says you ain’t too hot in the sack,” I snap back at him.

“Stop being such an asshole.” We both turn to stare at the silent guy, who just spoke.

“Have you got a name?” I ask him.

“Dean,” he replies.

Reece goes back to scrubbing the laundry. “Lucky me, stuck in level three with you two retards,” he says.

I smile at Dean and flick my gaze across to Reece, silently mouthing, “Let’s get him.” Dean jumps up and gets behind Reece, holding his arms behind his back. I grab a fistful of Reece’s hair and shove his face into the soapy water in the tub, I hold him under. Dean is fast, he moves out of the way just in time to avoid getting kicked by Reece as he struggles to get out of our grip. I pull his head out of the water and let him draw in a few deep breaths before shoving his head back down again. I hold him under for as long as I dare, I don’t wanna kill him…well that’s not true, I couldn’t care less if I killed him but I don’t wanna get in trouble for it. I finally let him up and he crawls away, coughing and gasping for breath.

Ignoring Reece, I speak to Dean. “That’s the first time I’ve heard you speak since I’ve been here. I thought you couldn’t talk.”

Dean shrugs. “They think I can’t, I never speak in front of them.”

“Aww.” I glance over at Reece; he’s kneeling on the floor with his hands over his eyes, dripping water everywhere. “You sons of bitches, I’ve got soap in my eyes, it stings,” he yells.

Laughing, I turn back to Dean. “Why don’t you want them to know you can speak?”

“They will know because I’m gonna tell them,” Reece yells out.

I lunge at him and grab another fistful of his hair, pulling his face towards mine. He’s still rubbing at his eyes. “You’ve got a big mouth Reece. Maybe we should give you another bath and find out how long you can keep that mouth of yours shut.” I drag him back towards the tub.

“Alright, alright, I won’t say nothing. Let me go,” he screams. I shove him away from me.

“So,” I ask Dean, “why don’t you want them to know?”

“It gives me some control,” Dean says, “I think that’s why they’ve put me here in level three.”

“Screw control,” I tell him. “Speak and let them sell you. It’s better out there than it is in here. You’d be better off in level one.”

“Maybe,” he replies, “I’ll think about it.”

I hear the door unlocking so I scoot back over to the press. Savannah and the guard walk in. She’s smiling, so whatever they did I guess she had fun, she must like him. Maybe Reece is right, maybe she does prefer him to me. I can’t blame her; he can give her more than I ever could. I don’t wanna lose her though.

“Who’s responsible for this mess?” The guard looks from me to Dean and finally to Reece. When he sees Reece’s wet hair he points at him. “Get up.” Reece stands and the guard lifts the fob attached to his belt loop and hits the button. The cuffs around Reece’s wrists slam together. The guard grabs him by the arm. “I’ll be back in a moment. The rest of you get on with your work.” He opens the door and drags Reece out of the laundry.

Savannah comes over to me; she’s got a frown on her beautiful face. “What happened with his wrists?” she asks. I want to tell her but I want to hold her more, I need to have her close to me. Grabbing her arm I tug her towards me and wrap my arms around her waist, hugging her close to my chest. I dip my head and trail kisses along her neck. She pulls back a little and pecks me on the lips. “Kayden…his wrists?”

“The cuffs are magnetised,” I tell her. “That remote he’s got, when he points it at you and presses it the cuffs stick to anything metal, usually the other cuff or the collar if your hands are near your face.” I pull her face closer and bend to nibble her earlobe. “But you ain’t wearing any, so you don’t have to worry about it, baby.” I bury my face in her neck, not wanting to look at her when I ask my question. My stomach is churning, I’m afraid to ask her but I have to know. “You guys were gone for a while, what were you doing?” I hold my breath.

She softly strokes her fingers along my neck and I shiver. “He took me to lunch.”

I squeeze her tighter. “He gave you a smoke as well didn’t he?”

“How did you know that?”

“I can smell it on you, baby.” I swallow hard. “So, did you have fun?” I hear my voice break on the word fun. She never has fun with me, not in this damn place. She’s gonna get fed up with me real fast. Her little fingers pull at the neck of my scrubs and she kisses and nips at my bare shoulder. I rub my cheek against hers.
