I walked into th
e living room and sat on the couch with the receipt in my hand and the tears started coming. I wasn’t really a crier but with everything I went through today, it just all compounded. My mother was doing coke, her boyfriend tried to fondle me and my man was cheating on me. What more could I take?

I was still sitting
in the same position when Tyga walked through the door. I jumped off the sofa swinging at him. I got some good shots to his face and chest before he was able to subdue me, by firmly wrapping his arms around me.

What the fuck are you doing?” he asked in shocked anger.

You’re a fucking cheater and a no good lying motherfucker.” My tears were making my voice tremble.

What did I do to become a cheater?” Incredulity was rampant on his face and in his voice. “Is this because I missed your call? Or because I came home late?”

It’s because I found a receipt for condoms in your pocket,” I spat, fighting to free myself.

Calm down before you hurt my baby,” he warned.

Let me go you disgusting cheater.” I tried kicked him in the shin when I realized I couldn’t get free. He lifted me off the floor and walked to the bedroom with me screaming obscenities at him all the way there. He threw me on the bed and then pinned me beneath him. “Get the fuck off me!”

No,” he responded decisively. “Not until you listen to what I have to say. I’m not cheating on you. I swear on my life.”

You aren’t cheating on me that’s why you need to buy condoms when we’ve never used a condom not even once since we’ve been together,” I said sarcastically.

I didn’t buy them for myself, Delco asked me to buy them for him one day. I was going to the pharmacy anyway so I picked them up for him”

I laughed mockingly.
“I must really look like Boo Boo the clown to you if you think I’m gonna buy that story.”

Sexy, believe me, I would never do anything stupid to mess up our family. You know I love you and my seed. You think I’d risk us for some pussy. You obviously don’t know me.”

If you’re telling the truth and you did buy those condoms for Delco, why don’t you call him?” I suggested. “We can get this all cleared up.”

OK.” He pulled his phone from his pocket and dialed Delco’s number.

Put it on the speaker phone,” I commanded and he fulfilled my demand.

What’s up my nigga,” Delco answered.

Listen, I got my girl here and she’s mad at me for the condoms you asked me to buy for you the other day. Can you please tell her they were for you?”

Angel they were for me,” Delco agreed. “I asked him to get them for me.”

Tyga
just basically coached his boy on what to say, of course he’s gonna confirm what his best friend said. These two thought they were so slick, but they didn’t know who they were fucking with.

OK, if they are your condoms, how long ago did you ask him to buy them for you?”

T
yga disconnected the call the call before his boy could answer.

Why the fuck did you do that?” I fumed. It was a stupid question to ask when I already knew the answer. He was about to get busted that’s why he did it.

He already said they belonged to him, what else was there to say?”

I glar
ed at him. “Of course he’d say you bought them for him; the two of you are friends. What I wanted to do was confirm that they actually belonged to him, because if he didn’t know when you bought his own condoms then they couldn’t very well be his, now could they? Call him back.”

Tyga sighed.
“I’m not arguing with you anymore about this. I already called my boy and brought him in my personal business like I’m some fucking teenager, I’m not calling him back.” He got up and went into the bathroom.

I lay on the bed fuming as tears silently rolled down my face because I knew he was lying. Why would he do this to me? I loved him so much just the thought of him with someone else made me feel as if I was going to die or kill him and the bitch. When he returned he was showered and ready for bed. When he got in, I
rolled away from him because I didn’t want him touching me.

I love you,” he declared, pulling me close to his naked body, I didn’t fight his embrace because I needed him. I needed the comfort of the very person who was breaking my heart. “I love you so much.” I started crying harder, because as much as he claimed to love me, I knew I loved him more. I loved him so much I would never even think of doing something I knew would hurt him. “Shh, I swear there’s nothing or no one in this world who matters to me more than you and my baby.”

I allowed him to hold me all night because I was powerless when it came to him. I couldn
’t see myself without him; it would tear me apart too much. My love for him was like a chain that shackled me to him, so even when he was breaking my heart into a million pieces there wasn’t even a thought of leaving him.

CHAPTER TWENTY-SEVEN

TYGA

My lieutenants and I were having our weekly meeting at my dad
’s house. Everyone was in a good mood because we had almost doubled our weekly earnings, so that meant more paper in all our pockets. Having addressed the cash flow we moved on to other areas in our business.

What’s the official report on them stickup boys EJ?” I asked my cousin. He had hit some of their hide-out spots while I was down in Miami.

My boys and I ran up in a total of three of their houses; killed anything that moved. I’m sure a couple of them who weren’t at the houses will come out of the woodwork in the future, but when they do I’ll take care of them.” He had a proud smile on his mug. There wasn’t anyone as blood thirsty as my cousin, except for maybe my uncle. I guess it’s true when they say blood follows blood.

Good job on that,” I praised before moving on to Ronny. “How did the exchange go with Kit?”

Everything went smoothly and we didn’t have any problems.” His voice was all low and hoarse, like a smoker’s voice. He was a real quiet ordinary looking dude, which fooled a lot of people to his deadly ways. He was a hit man for my Pops back in the day, would even take a job now if the need arose.

You gave them the two new trucks like I said right?” Ronny nodded. I didn’t want Kitsune using any of the trucks that I was using to carry my product, so I had Ronny loan him the two trucks we had just gotten in anticipation of buying more weed. I didn’t know if the nigga had any ill intent, but it was always better to be safe than sorry. “I’m sure ya’ll want to hear how Miami went.”

I had everyone
’s attention now, even Boss who was looking like I was boring him before. I had to remind myself I needed to have a talk with him on two counts.

Lay it on us,” encouraged Uncle Elijah.

Best shit I ever seen, and most potent I ever tasted.” I was still remembering how fast that shit made my tongue numb and how heavy it became.

Word,” said EJ. “How much are they selling that shit for again?”

We’re getting it for two less than we’re currently paying.”

Damn,” he exclaimed. “That’s what’s up. We’ll be making some good paper from this shit.”

You’re sure these niggas are on the up and up?” Ronny cautioned. I would have wondered the same thing also if I didn’t get the link from Tyrone. Apart from my Pops and Delco, Ty was the only other person I trusted one hundred percent.

I’m sure they’re good. I got the link from a dude I trust one hundred and he’s been doing business with them almost a year and hasn’t had any problems. Plus the cat I’m working with is my girl’s father.”

I know homeboy who gave him the link and I trust him one hundred too.” Delco backed me up.

Angel’s father?” That was Boss; leave it to him to be all over the conversation at the mention of my woman. He was so transparent.

Do I have another woman nigga,” I replied sarcastically, ignoring the glare he shot me. “I think that’s it for this week. Ya’ll niggas can get on up outa here if you want to and enjoy that extra paper.”

Damn right I will,” Delco came over and gave me a pound. “I’m going to Glitter tonight, you want to hang? I’m sure Delicious would love to see you.”

Man you know I’m on lockdown for a minute because of that damn receipt my girl found in my pocket.”

He laughed.
“How could you make a rookie mistake like that? You’re slipping on your game nigga.”

I kept asking myself the same damn question. I was always on point with my shit, but for some reason when I had stuffed both the condoms and the receipt i
n my pocket, forgot to remove the damn receipt. “Just get the hell outa here.”

He laughed harder.
“You’re girl must be extra mad at you to be fucking up your mood like this.”

She’s not mad, she’s just acting like our baby died or something; Moping around the apartment and shit.” Which was worse in my book; I could deal with her anger but not her sadness, especially knowing that I caused it.

That’s what’s up. Ok I’ll holler at you later dude, maybe I’ll take Delicious for a ride in your office.”

Get it if you can get it,” I encouraged. She wasn’t my woman. She was just a side chick I fucked occasionally. I wasn’t mad if my boy got some too, after all if the pussy is good, why not share it? I saw my brother heading for the door and remembered I needed to have a couple of words with him. “Yo Boss, let me holler at you.”

He came over looking annoyed that I stopped him.
“What’s up?”

Why’d you take Chance on that job the other day?”

Rite of passage, everyone goes through it,” he replied in a tone that suggested I was dumb for asking the question.

You knew I wasn’t ready for him to hit the streets yet, that’s why I had him on counting duty,” I said in a low angry tone.

So this is about what you want. How about what he wants. He came to me and asked if he could tag along.”

And as an older brother with his best interest at heart you were supposed to say no. We both know the kid isn’t ready for the streets yet; that’s why he was shaking like a leaf and throwing up all over the place. Doing shit like what you did isn’t doing him any good.” It really pissed me off that I had to be having this conversation with him when he should already know this shit.

I see what this is about,” he said in an accusatory tone. “It’s not only me you’re trying to hold back, you’re trying to do it to him too.” Here we go again; this fool was like a fucking broken record.

Listen, I’m not going to argue with you about this because I realized you’re on some other shit and can’t see reason. Just don’t take Chance on any other jobs, I’m in charge of this shit, not you, so I make the decisions.”

Yes boss,” he replied sarcastically, turning to leave.

And one other thing,” I said stopping him. “Leave my woman alone. Don’t think she didn’t tell me what happened at her mother’s apartment the other day. That’s my bitch and this obsession you’ve got for her is getting real fucking old. Step to her again and you and I will have some real problems.” I made him see the edge of danger in my eyes and know I would body his ass if I had to. He couldn’t be dissing me like that and thinking he could get away with it because we were blood.

I got you,” he nodded and walked away. I could see he was trying to hide his own anger.

I went upstairs and found Pops in the living room talking to Ronny. He didn
’t come to the meetings anymore since he retired but Ronny and I still kept him up to date on what was going on.

Pops where’s Chance at?” I needed to have a talk with the kid because he was trying to move too fast and couldn’t handle it.

He left about thirty minutes ago.”

Tell him to call me since he’s not answering my calls because he knows I’m mad at him.”

Ok,” Pops agreed. “How are Angel and the baby?”

They’re good. She’s mad at me at the moment so I’m about to go pick her up some flowers and some of her favorite soup to get out the dog house,” I confessed, causing my dad and his best friend to laugh at me.

You must have taught him that one Ricky,” Ronny accused jokingly.

That trick works with your wife too doesn’t it?” Pops replied dryly.
