After a while the aftershocks abated, and Alan took one last long kiss before moving to lie at Dorian’s side. Dorian’s face glowed, the flush of orgasm dying away on his chest and neck. He closed his eyes and breathed deeply for a moment before opening them to gaze at Alan.

“You came.”

Alan arched his eyebrows. “Giving you pleasure gave
me
pleasure.” He stroked Dorian’s now soft dick, and the lad shuddered when he brushed his fingers over the head. “Watching you come was wonderful.” He rubbed Dorian’s belly in a slow circle.

“Oh.” The softly uttered word escaped from parted lips. “Sir, why has an orgasm never felt as good as that one just did?”

It wasn’t what Alan had expected to hear, and part of him exulted that the sub had found it so enjoyable an experience. He propped himself up on an elbow and gazed down at Dorian.

“Think about it. In the past at the club, your orgasms were the result of someone fucking you, hammering your prostate. And you were totally focused on achieving subspace.
This
time, you let yourself
feel
. You weren’t expecting to reach subspace, so it didn’t matter. You literally lay back and enjoyed it.”

Dorian chuckled, and Alan joined him. He held Dorian’s face and studied him.

“When was the last time a Dom took the time to make you feel good?”

Dorian looked into his eyes. “I’ve never had a Dom go down on me like you just did.”

Alan leaned forward and kissed him on the lips. “And I loved every minute of it.” He glanced up at the clock above the fireplace. “Maybe we should get dressed.”

“Do we have to?”

Alan grinned. “You like being nude in front of the fire? So do I, for that matter. Well, we could just spend the rest of the evening lying here. I could make some more hot chocolate, and we can snuggle up and chat.”

“And touch,” Dorian added quickly, his cheeks pinking up.

Alan became aware of the fluttery feeling in his belly and the rush of euphoria that flooded through him.
He wants me to touch him
. A far cry from the young man who shied away from Alan a week ago.

“Oh, I think that can be arranged.”

“Do I get to touch you?”

Warmth filled him. “Yes, I’d like that.”

Dorian let out a soft sigh. “It would be nice to sleep down here tonight, in front of the fire.”

Something in the wistful way he spoke touched Alan. He rose to his knees. “Then we shall. I’ll fetch duvets, pillows, and blankets, and we can make ourselves a little nest down here. I’ll keep the fire going until we fall asleep. If we’re lucky, by the time we wake up tomorrow, the power will be back on.” Dorian’s face lit up in a smile that made Alan tingle all over and his heartbeat race. He got up hurriedly and left the room, shivering as the cool air from the hallway hit his naked body. As he rushed up the stairs to collect the bedding, he couldn’t stop thinking about how damn good it had felt to make Dorian come.

Then he smiled.
He has no idea what tomorrow will bring
.

Alan

being a Dom.

off the shower and grabbed the towel that was warming on the rail beside it. Drying off in the shower cubicle was much better than stepping out of the warm, steamy environment. The bathroom was extra cold this morning. The power had come on at some point during the early hours of the morning, but all evening and most of the night without heating had chilled the house. He’d awoken when daylight crept through the blinds and fell across their makeshift bed on the rug, Alan’s arms encircling him, his chest pressed up against Dorian’s back. Dorian had lain there, not daring to move lest his motion disturb his bedmate, because it felt amazing.

Saturday night had been an eye-opener, and not just because of Alan’s kick-ass blow job. Dorian had never been one to enjoy postcoital snuggling. Yet lying there in Alan’s arms while they talked about anything and nothing had forced him to consider yet again what he’d been missing. Alan had stroked and caressed him as if it were the most natural thing in the world. Dorian had a brief moment of bitterness, a sense of having been deprived all this time, but he knew he had no one to blame but himself.

No use dwelling in the past
.
As Alan says, time to move on
. It had become his mantra of late.

He dried himself with the thick towel. When he reached behind to remove the moisture from his arse and crack, he recalled how gently Alan had probed him there. A shiver ran through him as the memory grew stronger.

“Aren’t you done yet?” Alan’s bemused tone broke through his increasingly heated recollections.

Dorian gave a start. “Coming!” He finished drying off and put on his robe. When he opened the bathroom door, Alan was standing there, hands behind his back, grinning mischievously. Dorian was beginning to recognize that grin.

Alan’s gaze flicked down to his groin, and he tut-tutted at the sight of Dorian’s half-hard dick. His grin faded. “Tell me you weren’t disobeying my rules in the shower.”

“I wasn’t!” Dorian knew his cheeks were reddening. The temptation had been there, all right, but he’d fought it.

Alan nodded. “Okay, I believe you.”

A wave of relief pulsed through Dorian. He didn’t want to mess this up.

“Remember I said yesterday that it would be a while before I let you come again?”

Damn
. Dorian gave a half smile. “I was hoping you’d forgotten that part.”

Wry laughter burst from Alan’s lips. “You wish.” He glanced downward. “Well, you need to get soft before I can put this on.” He held out his right hand, palm upward, upon which sat… a stainless steel cock cage.

Oh, bloody hell
.

Alan regarded him steadily, his expression serious. “I meant what I said. From now on your orgasms are mine. But you are going to work on your control. You’ll wear this during the day, but I’ll remove it at bedtime.”

“But what if I dream during the night and I come?”

Alan’s lips twitched. “
How
old are you?”

Dorian bowed his head, his face hot. It had been worth a try. Alan lifted his chin with a couple of fingers.

“If you wake up with a hard-on, then you go to the bathroom and relieve your bladder. That should help. And when we’re in a scene, you will do your very best not to get hard, no matter what sexual tortures I submit you to.” His eyes sparkled with amusement. “I could always insert the penis plug that comes with this.”

Just the thought of forcing himself to stay soft, his cock constrained by the metal cage while Alan was doing his best to turn him on, was enough to have Dorian’s dick go limp.

He sighed. “Yes, Sir.” It wasn’t as if he hadn’t expected something like this. He already knew Alan had a wicked streak.

Alan beamed. “Good boy.” He brought forward his other hand to reveal a tube of lube. He handed it to Dorian. “It will help you to put on the cage.”

Dorian squeezed a few drops onto his dick and slicked it up, trying hard to keep flaccid. Alan carefully eased his length into the cage and snapped it shut around the base. “There. That’s you sorted.” He grinned once more. “See you downstairs for breakfast.” He turned and headed down the staircase, whistling happily.

Dorian watched his descent, shaking his head. Yep. Alan was a sadist. He went into his room and got dressed, his dick pressing against the cage as he zipped up his jeans. He wondered briefly how long it would take until he no longer noticed its presence. A delicious aroma drifted up the stairs, and Dorian sniffed the air. Bacon.

He hurried down to the kitchen to find Alan laying sausages onto the grill tray. Beside him on the hob, slices of bacon sizzled in the frying pan.

He glanced up from his task to look at Dorian. “I think sausages are more healthy when you grill them, but I’m sorry, bacon needs to be fried. It’s a weakness of mine.” He gestured with a flick of his head toward the chopping board on the table, where a plastic carton of mushrooms sat. “You can slice those up, and then whisk up some eggs for scrambling.”

Dorian set about his task, his stomach already growling. “I didn’t expect this,” he said while he cut up the mushrooms into thick slices, steadying the mushrooms awkwardly with his right hand and cutting with his left, which proved even
more
awkward.

“Ahh, well, Sunday mornings I treat myself to a cooked breakfast. Then I spend the rest of Sunday working it off in my home gym.” Alan chuckled.

That explained Alan’s lean, toned physique. “How often do you work out?”

Alan gave him a rueful smile. “I usually swim three times a week at the aquatic center, and I use my weights every other day, but I haven’t exercised for a while now. This week has been… unusual for me.” He turned back to the grill.

An iron band suddenly tightened around Dorian’s chest.
My fault.
He bowed his head and closed his eyes, the knife coming to rest on the board. There was a lump in his throat the size of a golf ball.

“Don’t do this, boy.” Alan was there at his back, hands laid gently on his shoulders, rubbing them. “I had something much more important to do with my time this week, okay?” He grasped Dorian’s upper arms and turned him around. “Dorian, look at me.”

Dorian raised his chin and met Alan’s direct gaze. Alan’s eyes were warm.

“You matter more to me than streaking up and down the pool for an hour, or lifting weights, or
anything
as trivial as that. Do you understand?” He cupped Dorian’s face, his touch tender.

Dorian couldn’t look away. “Yes, Sir,” he whispered. Right then he believed Alan’s words with all his heart.

Alan studied him for a moment and then held his face steady as he moved closer to kiss him, his lips soft and warm against Dorian’s mouth. He drew back. “Good.” A loud sizzle from behind them brought their attention back to the frying pan. “Oops!” Alan quickly flipped the rashers onto a plate he’d had warming under the grill. He gave Dorian a lopsided grin. “Don’t want to burn the breakfast, do we?” And with that he was back on his task of sausage watching.

Dorian took a deep breath and finished his chopping. He added a little butter to the frying pan and then swept the slices into it, turning them with the wooden spatula. He stood at Alan’s side, automatically flipping the mushrooms, his mind elsewhere.

I matter to him.

Watching Alan from afar at the club had been one thing. Living with him, getting to know him was something entirely different. There was something about him, an irresistible force that drew Dorian to him, to the point where he craved more. He loved Alan’s patience, his gentleness, his sensual nature, yet he knew there was a solid core to the man that was pure Dominant.

Alan was unlike any man he’d ever known, and Dorian was already falling under his spell. The rational, logical part of his brain argued that things just didn’t happen that fast, that Alan had come along when Dorian had been at his most vulnerable, that he’d been a life belt for Dorian to cling to. And maybe that was partly true.

All Dorian knew was that they’d started something and he was eager to see where they were headed.

PEERED
out at the snowy scene beyond the lounge window. The news had shown huge snowplows that were working to clear the snow from the streets, the main roads into the city just about accessible. It seemed the whole country had been brought to a standstill by the weather.

Alan’s phone pierced the quiet of the afternoon. Dorian glanced over his shoulder to where Alan stopped building up the fire in order to answer it. His face broke into a smile.

“Hi. Of course I don’t mind you calling on a Sunday. What can I do for you?” He listened intently for a while. “Oh, I see.” A pause. “Really? Are you sure?”

He bit his lip, and Dorian was surprised to see the uncertainty in his expression.

“Well, okay. I mean, if you think I’m the right one to ask….” Alan sat back on his haunches, listening. “All right, send me the details in an e-mail and I’ll have a think about it. I have to say, I’m really flattered.”

Dorian was dying to know what this was about. Alan seemed flustered, totally unlike his usual self-assured, confident manner.

Alan smiled. “Okay, that’s fine. Thanks again, Mr. Fellows—sorry, Ed. I look forward to receiving your e-mail.” He finished the call and then stared at the phone in his hand, shaking his head.

Dorian was itching to know more. “That sounded… interesting.” Not as interesting as Alan’s reaction, however.

Alan turned his head to glance at him. “What? Oh, sorry. That was to do with my work.”

And there was something
else
Dorian had been dying to ask about. “What
is
your work, exactly? You’ve never said.”

To his surprise, Alan blushed. “I suppose I’d better tell you, seeing as you’ll be staying here for a while.” He got up and walked across to the bookshelf. “Come here.”
