Dear Readers,

When
Mastered
was originally contracted along with books two and three of the Enforcers series, Drake and Evangeline's story was only supposed to encompass one book while books two and three would be about Justice and Silas.

But wow! Drake and Evangeline's story was so . . . big and all-consuming, and when I got to well over one hundred thousand words, I realized I was only halfway through with their epic love story.

So after I discussed the problem with my editor, we both felt strongly that it would do the story a huge disservice to cut large chunks and take out scenes just to fit a word count that covered only half of the planned story. We decided to split their story into two parts:
Mastered
, which is part one, and
Dominated
, which is part two.

And even after I split their story into two volumes, the word count for
both
books will be high, and by the time I finish, the two volumes will, in fact, be the equivalent of three of my “normal”-sized books.

I hope you enjoy Drake and Evangeline's journey to happily ever after and stay on for the ride to “the end” in
Dominated
, coming soon in 2016.

This is new for me. I've never had this happen to me in my entire career, so I'm as surprised as any of you are, believe me! But I don't want to cheat the characters or
you
, the reader, by giving you a watered-down, less passionate and heartrending story just for the sake of word count. That's not fair to anyone.
