Chapter 4

He pops a handful of pills, downs a slug of Jack, then splashes on some cologne. Cole nods at his reflection in the mirror and then laughs at himself. He’s dressed in his white business shirt with the top buttons undone and his loose, worn jeans. It always seals the deal when going for either sex, and tonight he plans to take a taste of each.

The smirk covering his face may be fabricated and soaked in all the wrong sins, but it’s what is making him tick right now. His bedroom door bursts open with Rhett and Mason hollering at him, making a ruckus of catcalls and carrying loads of whiskey in their arms. Cole knows he’s fucked tonight with the Bennetts and Kam partying it up with him.

They’ve begged for months for him to partake, and Cole thinks they were about to give up until he took a bite out of the proverbial apple.

“Let’s go, pussy.”

“Who you calling pussy?” Cole grabs his crotch and then flips off his cousins.

“You.”

“Let’s go, asshats. We’ll never get out of here with you guys yapping.”

All eyes go to the voice at the door. Jett’s dressed in a short black dress with red high heels. Her tits are beyond plump and peek up over her neckline. And for fuck’s sake, if she’s wasn’t his sister-in-law, she’d be Cole’s first taste of the night. He feels a bit guilty when his cock stirs while analyzing her fine figure.

“You heard her. Let’s go. The limo is waiting.” Kam steps up behind Jett and makes it very clear who she belongs to.

Cole’s semi-erection shrivels up. He laughs out loud to himself and then feels all eyes on him.

“What’s so funny?” Jett asks.

“Nothing.” He shakes his head and makes his way to the door, brushing past Jett and Kam.

He breathes a little easier knowing the subject has been avoided. Cole needs pussy, and needs it now, before he bursts into flames. Walking through the lobby, he leads the way, with the rest of his family following at his heels. He scans the expansive area, searching for some arm candy for the night. Rhett, Mason, and Keller have a well-trained army of women swarming the place, just waiting for their presence. There’s one blonde beauty he’s very thoughtfully studied but never acted on.

He hangs back as his cousins go and select the women they want for the night and keeps searching for the blonde beauty. Everyone has a mate and
are
heading toward the carousel doors, and he still doesn’t spot her. He thinks about going for another woman, but changes his mind before exiting.

As soon as he steps out onto the pavement, the night air hits him in the face. There’s something about Denver he adores, and Cole’s not quite sure if it’s because it’s less crowded than L.A. or the hint of mountain air. Either way, he’s in love with the city, and now with a glimpse of his old personality back, he feels alive once again.

A stretch Hummer sits right in front of the lobby, and he knows it’s their ride. Ducking, he begins to enter when he catches sight of the blonde hair he’s been searching for all night.

“Excuse me,” he says to the rest of his group.

Cole wastes no time rushing up to the woman, and it’s like she’s been officially trained and is magnetized to his side.

“Would you like to join me for the night?” He quirks an eyebrow in her direction.

“Absolutely.”

“Not going to even ask what I have planned?”

“You’re Cole, the head Sterling, so I don’t think there’s any question to be asked.”

She hooks her arm in Cole’s and follows his stride.

“Do you have a name?”

“Kami.”

And by god if the husky voice, the blonde hair dancing on her shoulders, and the touch of her skin on his don’t already have Cole fired up and ready to romp. He holds the door of the limo open for her and watches as she effortlessly glides into it, not missing her very fine and plump ass. Cole knows he’s playing with fire, but he can’t stop the beast once it’s been unleashed.

Bright red fingernails run along the inseam of his jeans, sending goose bumps up the ridge of his spine. Cole has to cover her hand with his before he begins tearing off her clothes piece by piece. A disappointed look appears on her face, and Cole smiles right back at her while sending her his signature wink.

“I can’t handle your touch.” He leans in so close her scent fucks with his common sense.

“Did I do something wrong?” Her voice is shaky and quiet, keeping the conversation between the two of them.

“Nothing, sugar.” Cole darts his tongue out, running it up her earlobe. “But unless you want to be fucked in front of an audience right now in the back of this limo, I suggest you keep those pretty red nails to yourself for now.”

She produces a sexy giggle that doesn’t help the situation at all, forcing Cole to dig even deeper for a thread of self-control.

“What’s going on over there?” Rhett asks from across the limo.

“Just making plans, cuz, just making plans.” Cole scoots Kami up next to him.

The limo comes to a stop. Cole grabs Kami by the thigh, indicating for her to wait a minute.

“Want some private time?” he purrs into her ear.

She nods, and it’s the only signal he needs from her.

“We’ll meet you guys in there.” Cole waves the rest of the group on before shutting the limo door, but doesn’t miss the hoots and hollers of approval from his family and the thumbs up Jett sends him.

“Driver, give us a good forty-five minutes.” Cole pushes the button to send up the privacy screen, leaving the two of them alone in the back seat. And, hell, if she was sexy before, now alone in the limo with him on the prowl, she’s fucking drop dead gorgeous.

Slowly Kami spreads her legs, giving Cole the green light to attack. He’s on his knees crawling toward her in moments. He starts his ascent by kissing her ankles right above her high heel, and then trailing his tongue up the inside of her calf, then to her thigh. He stops when he hits the hem of her very short dress.

When he makes eye contact with her, he feels her hips buck forward, inching closer to his chest. Kami tugs at her dress, exposing skimpy white lace panties barely covering anything.

“Teeth,” she purrs.

Cole’s eyebrow quirks up at
the
beautiful sight of Kami’s olive skin contrasting her stark white panties. Then her words set him on fire. Dipping low, Cole bites onto the lace material, taking a bit of skin with it and eliciting a sexy moan from Kami. Pent-up frustration and longing bursts from inside him. He doesn’t see Kami in this moment; instead it’s Jax spread out and silently pleading for him.

His fingers tear the dainty material the rest of the way from Kami’s body, then he undoes his zipper and releases his cock. He shoves her back and enters her at the same time. He’s not worried about one thing right now besides freeing himself of his demons and feeling alive again.

“You know anyone who would want to join us later?” Cole asks while working himself in and out of Kami at a grueling rate. His climax is building fast, and he’s not willing to slow down.

“Like to…” She pauses, letting out a loud moan. “Join us fucking?”

He nods to her as he slips his hand between them, finding her clit. It’s the least he can do since he plans on fucking her senseless tonight.

Her sweet juices welcome his fingertips, and he feels her tighten around his cock, causing him to let go inside of her. The two aren’t shy about their screams of pleasure as they climax together. Cole melts down on to Kami, exhausted and completely sated.

“You didn’t even kiss me.”

A smile spreads across his face, which is pushing down into her collarbone.

“Do you want me to kiss you?” he mumbles across her skin.

“Kissing is good,” is her simple response.

Cole sits up just enough to see her rosy cheeks and satisfied eyes. His lips brush hers, and the action sends a stinging sensation shooting straight to his heart. He tries desperately to kiss Kami as long as possible, but the pain he feels when his lips touch another is too much. He pulls back as she begins to open her mouth, deepening the kiss.

“So, you got a friend in mind for us tonight?”

Cole doesn’t miss the frustrated huff Kami sends his way as he does his best to stand up in the limo and situate his clothing. He refuses to make eye contact with her, and if she can’t accept what he’s wanting to put out, then she can leave. God, he’s sure he won’t find someone who rivals her elegant beauty, but then again, pussy is pussy and he’s ready to drown.

Chapter 5
One Month Later

Cracking sounds fire off one after the other in Cole’s head. He burrows deeper under the white pillows and even tries nestling into Kami’s back to help lighten the pain. It’s happened every single morning, and he knows it’s because of the combination of booze, Oxy, and lack of sleep, but those are also the three things he thrives on.

He’s laid off the Oxy, and only because of fucking Dax snooping around. The Sterlings are all too familiar with addiction and what it looks like. He doesn’t need his goddamn brothers putting him away for thirty to sixty days to recover. No, he needs to stay on the high he’s developed between Kami and the men she finds to bring to bed, and his other crutches.

Business couldn’t be going better nationwide for Made To Sin. The L.A. club has already made the record books with their monthly revenue, and Denver’s shaping up to be on track with L.A. and possibly outshining it. Cole and Kami have made several appearances at different sporting venues and high-class business functions in hopes of drawing the crowds in.

Kami has proven to be the perfect mate for Cole. She wants nothing more than to be thoroughly fucked and showed off as arm candy. Her glamorous looks and elegant ways have all the right types of men falling at her feet, and while Cole has practically branded “Made To Sin” on her ass, it’s the perfect win for the business.

“Baby, headache again?” Kami rolls over, pushing her plump tits into his face.

Cole can only nod, as the searing pain is too much to handle.

“Let me get your pills.”

Kami is damn good at keeping his secrets, as she’s loved living this lifestyle with Cole. He knows it all too well, and so does his pocketbook. He gives her whatever she wants, mainly to shut her the fuck up. It’s his defense mechanism to avoid being trapped in a serious relationship.

“Here, baby.” Kami’s soft lips plant a light kiss on his forehead as she hands him the pills and a fresh bottle of water.

Cole only grunts, unable to speak yet. He downs the pills and waits for them to take effect. Kami makes her way into his lap as he props his upper body back against the headboard and folds his hands behind his head. Cole keeps his eyes clenched shut, hoping the pain begins to dull soon.

Kami runs her fingers up and down his bare chest, stopping and tracing his tats. He keeps his eyes shut even when his head lets up because he knows Kami will want to be kissed, and that’s the other thing he’s avoided like the plague with her. Every time she tries to kiss him, it’s like a heated poison on his lips and the one thing that hurts him.

“Did Dax and Birdy set a date yet?”

He produces another grunt at Kami’s question. Dax finally took the plunge and asked Birdy to be his. They’ve been really quiet and reserved about setting a date or sharing any details. But his brother did propose in Sterling fashion, holding nothing back. Between the chocolate cake and the size of Birdy’s diamond, Dax set a new world record with his level of swoony.

It’s a night Cole doesn’t care to remember, and that makes his heart hurt. Too many pills and drinks, he doesn’t remember much of it, and the part he does remember isn’t his brightest moment in life. A waiter from the staff down on his knees sucking him, and then eventually Cole sinking deep into the man and finishing off.

“Cole, did you hear me? I asked you a question.” Kami shoves back from his chest, and he picks up on her level of frustration with him. He guesses it’s going to be a new Michael Kors purse type of day.

“Baby, I don’t know. I think in a few months. Neither of them have leaked the details.”

“Are you lying to me again?” She tilts her head, sending her golden hair flying to the side.

His head clears a bit as his smartass, devilish smirk spreads across his face. “Have I ever lied to you?”

“On a daily fucking basis, Cole Sterling.”

Cole laughs at her response. He still hasn’t nailed exactly what Kami does to his heart. One moment he thinks he’s ready to fall in love with her, and the next he can’t stand the sound of her voice.

He lurches forward and pins her down to the bed with her arms stretched high above her head, leaving her huge tits exposed to him. Dipping his head, Cole nips on one taut nipple before raising his gaze and looking her in the eyes.

“I don’t know when they are getting married, but I do know it won’t be the first one booked in the venue. Another couple is coming in th
is
week.”

He dips his head back down, paying the same attention to her other needy, perked-up nipple.

Cole raises his head once again. “And I’ve never lied to you, sugar. I’ve always promised you a good time.”

Cole pushes forward into Kami’s wet center, finding the exact place he wants to be buried. Even with a hangover he can get hard for the gorgeous body lying before him. He knows it’s partly her looks, but mostly the fact she’s brought man after man to bed for him every single night. Some nights she just watches Cole ravish another man, and he never misses the look of pride and satisfaction in her eyes.

The picture of Kami’s luscious hair bouncing from her shoulders as she stroked her wet core while watching Cole being sucked off by another man will forever be branded on his memory. His cock stiffens to an almost painful state buried in her as he remembers the scene.

“Kami.” His voice comes out as a grunt.

Cole’s driving motion doesn’t let up as he pounds her. Kami tries to speak, but is stopped by the moans escaping her. Several moments go by before she’s able to simply nod, acknowledging Cole.

“I want you bound up tonight as our guest and I fuck you.”

“Oh…okay.” Her voice is breathy and cheeks flushed red as her body bobs up and down the silk sheets while Cole drives to find his release.

“Your wrists will be tied up.” He grips onto her wrists to prove a point to her. “Your ankles tied up as well, with your whole body offered up to us.”

“Can we invite Rhett?”

He quirks an eyebrow up at her. “You want my cousin to fuck you?”

She nods.

“You think you deserve my cousin?”

“Cole.” Her voice echoes in the room as she writhes against him. He feels her squeeze his dick with everything she has and knows she just hit her happy place.

“Tonight will be all about you, sugar. You’ll be the only one getting any attention, and if you want Rhett to join, I can do that. You won’t be the first chick we’ve fucked together.”

Cole grunts as he pounds into her harder, finding his own release. He pulls out and props back on his knees, letting his semen flow over Kami’s belly.

“I didn’t think you’d want to…” She pauses.

“I’m not going to fuck my cousin, Kami. We are going to fuck you.”

“God, you’re such a whore, Cole.”

“Are you complaining?”

“Never, baby.”

“Get up and get dressed. You have some shopping to do, sugar. I’ll make a list and tell Rhett exactly how it’s going to go down.”

Kami props up on her elbows. “Okay.”

“I’m going to watch tonight like you’ve done for me, Kami, but there will be one rule…you can’t touch him.”

“Okay.”

***

“Where the hell is Dax?” Kam roars in the empty club.

Cole only shrugs as he flips through his emails on his phone. It’s time for their weekly meeting and FaceTime with Eli on the East Coast, but Dax is MIA.

“I’m getting fucking sick of this shit. Ever since we bought that damn wedding hall, the club has come second to everything.”

“He just a bit distracted, is all.” Cole shrugs as he tries to focus on deleting junk email.

“Distracted. Really, that’s what you call it?” Kam steps up to Cole and snags his phone from his hand.

“Dude. Chill the fuck out. We held up everything for you when you went all psycho. Give the man a break.”

“Fucking ridiculous. I’m getting a drink.”

“Get a drink and a fucking chill pill while you’re at it.” Cole grabs his phone back and returns to his business. “Get me a Jack while you’re there.”

Kam lets all kinds of colorful cuss words fly, and Cole still can’t understand why Kam has such a problem with the lack of Dax lately. In all reality, he just partnered with Birdy in the business, and he knows she wants to do it, but considering how shell-shocked and lacking in experience she is, Dax has to be there.

His phone rings, and the sweet little picture of Martha pops up, the image he has saved for Eli’s contact information. It’s always bittersweet seeing her face. It reminds him of Jax and what he could’ve had. Cole quickly answers the call, pushing Jax to the back of his thoughts. He can only hope one day she’ll never enter them again.

“Hey, Ugly.” Eli shines brightly back at Dax in the screen with his rumpled dad hair.

“Hey, Old Man.”

“Where’s the group?” A little hand flies into view, causing Eli to fumble a bit with the phone, followed by a frustrated sigh.

Cole runs his hands through his hair, slicking it straight back. “Kam’s pissed because Dax isn’t here. I’m afraid those two are going to strangle each other. I swear, ever since they were little, if one was down, the other was riding his ass.”

“Truly sorry on th
at
one, Cole. You definitely need help to run interference.”

“Yeah, not going to lie, I miss you, little brother.”

“Everything else going good?”

“Club’s on track, vendors have been kickass, and the hype surrounding the opening is insane.”

“I mean with you, dickweed.”

“Always doing good.”

“Cole, you’ve always been a shit liar too.”

He lets out a long sigh and leans back in the booth. He’s been caught this time, and it looks like there’s no way out of it. Until the flash of little pudgy hands dominates the screen. Eli’s face goes green, and a glass of soda fills the screen, shortly followed by the call cutting off.

God bless little Martha. No doubt, I’ll be buying her a pony of her choice.

“What the fuck? Where did Eli go?” Kam holds both of his drinks up.

“Martha ended the call.”

Kam slams down Cole’s drink, sending the dark liquid splashing over the rim of the glass.

“Jesus, Kam, go get laid. We’ll meet next week.” Cole tilts back the drink and drains it in one swallow.

“Done deal.” Kam gives in without a fight, turning on his heels and storming out of the club with his drink still in his hand.

The hotel is in walking distance, and Cole hopes like hell he’s marching his grumpy ass right over to his penthouse and fucking his horrible attitude right out of his system. Cole pushes back from the table into a standing position and decides to go pour himself another drink before heading off to find Dax.

As the amber liquid tumbles out of the bottle into his glass, he can only shake his head at Kam, and can’t help but feel like his family is falling apart. He knows it’s the natural process where each one branches off to create their own families, but that thought freaks him out more than he’d like to admit.

He downs another drink, then pours one more before he goes to find Dax. It’s a short walk, and he enjoys the refreshing Denver air as he strides down the sidewalk. The East Coast boy inside him still refuses to believe he may love the Rocky Mountains more than he ever did the East.

Cole pushes the large oak door open, admiring the heavy, cast iron details on it. The place is simply beautiful and awes him every time he enters, which has been a whole whopping five times. Voices echo in the enormous ballroom as he winds his way through to find actual human beings and one who resembles his giant of a brother.

Cole chuckles to himself as he strides down the hall. Hell, a year ago he would’ve bet the family fortune on Dax being in the pen instead of this. He shakes his head and starts to believe miracles truly do happen every once in a while.

When he rounds the corner, the expansive open area is nearly breathtaking. A couple on the other side of the room are the only people in sight. And it’s obvious they’re the happy couple as they pet and poke at each other. The male keeps tickling the woman, causing a fit of giggles to ensue. Cole doesn’t want to scare them by creeping up on them. He tries to clear his throat, but the echoes of the woman’s laughter overpower him.

Time freezes for Cole, and he knows it’s impossible, but in the same moment the clicking of his dress shoes against the hardwood floor catches the couple’s attention. In slow motion, the woman turns, whipping her dark hair around. When their eyes meet, Cole does a double take, but afterward the same woman is still standing there.

It’s Jax.

His glass tumbles to the floor, shattering into tiny slivers. His hand begins to tremble, and his eyes fill with tears at the sight of her and the emotions whirling within him. Never did he think it would hurt so badly to see her again. It doesn’t help when the man with her cradles her around her hip and tugs her into his side.

A loud noise draws everyone’s attention to Dax in the doorway with his hair standing on end and his hands nervously brushing over it. When Cole makes eye contact with Dax, he sees everything he needs to in his brother’s eyes.
