“That’s enough.” Maddie cut one hand through the air, voice like a knife of ice. “If Bodie Reaver is what my sister wants, he’s what she’ll get. Y’all can call him Mr. Unlucky all you want. She’ll prove you wrong.”

Addie looked over to Maddie, smiled. “Thanks, sister.”

Fuck, she was lucky. Stupid lucky. Her belly rumbled. Maybe she could get a few slices to go to take to her cowboy, just for a snack, not an excuse for a booty call.

“Close your eyes. It’s time to put your flip flop on.”

Addie stretched her toes and closed her eyes. If she didn’t look, she wouldn’t move. When it was over, she climbed to her feet, waiting while Maddie gave Kyla a hug.

She paid the bill, Maddie paid the tip, and they headed out into the sunshine, both of them stopping when a low whistle sounded. “Look at you girls!”

Addie grinned. “Daddy Chris!”

“Look at my beautiful babies. Y’all make the sunshine jealous, I swear to God.” Daddy Chris came over, his short, bowed legs moving fast. He kissed her cheek and gave Maddie a squeeze. “Y’all girls want pizza?”

“You know us so well.” She bounced a little. “We were just heading over. What are you doing in town, old man?”

“Sending a fax at the UPS place. Old man Kieser over in Celeste wanted a price on a bull semen sample from Boogerbutt.”

“Woo hoo.” Addie looked at Maddie, who shrugged. “Kieser’s boys ride the Texas circuit. That’s good exposure.”

“Well, then I’ll buy the celebratory pie!” She grinned, loving that she could do shit like this now. It was so good, to be where she belonged.

Daddy Chris beamed, nodded. “Let me call your dad, have him meet us. He’s getting his hair cut.”

Maddie hooted. “Dinner with the dads! Dessert might have to wait, Sis.”

“I’ll just send a quick text.” Bodie rocked her world, but these were her dads.

“Then I’ll go get us a booth at Diorio’s.” Maddie trotted off, leaving her with Daddy Chris, who smiled at her, his green eyes twinkling.

“Am I interrupting a hot date, baby girl?” he asked.

“No, sir. Bodie’ll wait on me.”

“Bodie Reaver?” He raised a brow. “Well, now.”

Addie blushed again. Christ, it was getting to be a habit. Fuck. “Yeah.”

“He’s a good man.” Her daddy nodded, a smile breaking out. “He works hard.”

“I like him.” A lot. Like in that stupid, if she didn’t wake up in his bed she felt weird way.

“Well, good. I mean, I’m not saying you should go out and get married or nothin’. Not yet. He needs to come to supper first.”

“You going to cook your lasagna?” Supper, huh? She wasn’t sure how Bodie would take that, but it would be fun as hell to try.

“Sure. Better than letting Brandt grill. A man has to be a ninny to let someone make fire without trying to take it over, and Brandt would kill him.”

She looked over, loving how his eyes smiled, twinkled. “Does that make you a ninny, Daddy?”

“Nope. I’m a man in love.” Daddy Chris flipped out his phone. “Pizza in five with the girls, Mister.”

God knew what Dad said, but it made Daddy Chris blush, chuckle, and Addie looked away. Good lord. No one wanted to think about what their parents did when they weren’t around. Even girls with two gay dads.

“You ready, baby girl?”

“Yes, sir.” She bumped shoulders with him. “Dad meeting us there?”

“He’ll be there in two shakes.” He took her hand, swinging it like he had when she was five.

“Shake shake.” She looked over. “So, it’s cool? Me and Bodie?”

“It is with me.” He winked. “You might want to ease your dad into it.”

“Ease her dad into what?” Dad stared at her from the door of the barber shop, glaring from under his hat. “You’re not leaving again, right?”

Oh, man. “Nope. Not right now.” She gave Daddy Chris an evil glare.

“Then what?” Lord, Dad Brandt could be like a pit bull with a question. He was doing the hard glare from under the hat thing, which told her to go ahead and answer.

“I’m dating Bodie Reaver.” Sleeping with him. Eating breakfast with him.

“Bodie Reaver?” Dad frowned mightily. “That man’s bad luck, baby. Nice guy, sure, but whoa.”

Addie took a deep breath, forcing her hands to unclench one finger at a time. “He’s not a lady killer, you know.”

“Well, baby, he’s got a bad track record.”

“No.” She shook her head, giving her red curls a flip as she slid one hand into the crook of each of their closest arms. “His ladies do. Good thing for him, I’m no lady.”

“Addison Danielle!” Dad looked at her. “You watch that. Chris? Did you hear her?”

“Yup.” Daddy Chris just hugged her hand, laughing a little. “She’s our girl, no matter what.”

“Laughing at me,” Addie grumbled. Daddy Chris got it, though. The man had been a slut of mammoth proportions before Dad had come around and “put a stop to that nonsense”. Hell, Dad had even convinced Daddy Chris to leave the rodeo circuit, plant roots. Have babies.

Fit into this tiny little town like it was nothing at all. It hadn’t always been like that, of course. From the few times Daddy Chris had told tale about it, there’d been some hard-core ass-kicking at the beginning. Dad had been beat down so hard they’d thought he’d die and, from what she’d figured out, Daddy Chris had damn near been in the Federal pen. Thank God for Sheriff John Sr. and a little creative police work. The assholes that had hurt Dad had been run out of town and after that Daddy Chris was able to settle in. Nowadays they just were who they were, even if most folks acted like her dads were just Really Good Friends.

It was a little stunning sometimes, how her dads were in each other’s pockets. It gave her hope that both she and Maddie would find their someones. She tried to ignore the little kernel of belief that she’d already found hers. It was too early to think that way. Hell, they were still in the ‘exploring happily’ phase of this whole crazy thing. And it was happy, for sure. They could be lazy in bed together for hours. She was pretty tickled to feed his horses, too. The feelings were crazy. Daddy Chris opened the door to the pizza parlor and let her lead the way over to Maddie’s chosen booth.

“Am I as cow-eyed when I date, Daddy Chris?” Butter wouldn’t melt in Maddie’s mouth.

Daddy shook his head. “No, pumpkin. You got too much of your dad in you.”

Their dad, Brandt, laughed right out loud. “You and me, Mad. we’re too practical for that mooning shit.”

“You know it.” Maddie was smiling, though. “I think it’s sort of cute, really.”

She flipped her sister off. “Screw you, Madeline.” She drawled out the name, knowing her twin hated it.

“It’s Mad-i-son,” Maddie growled. “Adelaide.”

“We should have named them Bob and Frank.”

Daddy Chris grinned, looking a little like a monkey. “Bert and Ernie.”

“Laurel and Hardy.”

She and Maddie exchanged a glance, rolling their eyes at each other.

“This is why the grans named us, Adds.”

“Yes, because our dads are boys.”

“Well, y’all both like boys, so get used to it. Who wants pineapple?”

“Me!” She grinned as Maddie’s and Dad’s noses wrinkled. She leaned against Daddy Chris and listened to them all argue pizza. It was time for some family togetherness. She’d get a giant cookie before she left, though, and take it to Bodie.

She wasn’t willing to give up on the idea of dessert.

* * * *

Bodie stretched, his back aching. Man, he’d been moving bales thanks to a tiny mold problem, and he was pissed at himself for being stupid about it. His belly was empty as a worm, too, and he wondered if he even had spray whipped cream in his fridge.

His phone vibrated in his pocket, the buzz altogether too close to his balls.

Fishing it out, he saw Addie’s name and grinned. His day just got a hundred times better in a second. Boom. “Hey, honey.”

“Cowboy. You interested in a giant cookie and a naked girl?”

Bodie damn near swallowed his tongue. “Hell, yes. How far away are you?”

She chuckled softly, the sound making all the best sorts of promises. “I’m on your back porch.”

“I am on my way.” All he had to do was close up shop and hop on the four-wheeler.

And pray no one decided to see if his girl was really bare-assed on his porch. Not that anyone could see his porch unless they drove in off the main road. Shit. He gunned it, making for home.

Addie blew his fucking mind, just right there in his face, wanting him. He’d had his share of women, and he’d loved a few, but none of them made him happy in his gut like Addie did.

He squealed to a halt by his back door, that pretty girl draped over his rocking chair, wearing nothing but a belly tattoo and a smile.

Bodie stared. Just stared, his hands clenching on the handlebars of the ATV. “God Almighty, woman. Look at you.”

One of her legs slowly moved, spreading, baring her sweet, pink folds. She was like some kind of goddess come down to earth, and he moaned, almost killing himself trying to get off the four-wheeler.

Her laughter floated across to him. “Don’t wound anything, cowboy. I’m going to use that.”

“You’re trying to kill me.” He struggled upright and started tugging at his shirt. What had possessed him to wear the denim thing with the buttons instead of snaps or a t-shirt?

Oh, right. Hay.

Her hand slid down her belly, fingers tracing tiny designs on her skin, tugging the little belly piercing.

His shirt went flying, and he hopped up the steps pulling off his boots so he could get rid of the jeans. When he got to her, he was as naked as she was and ready and rarin’ to go.

She propped one leg on the railing, and sure as shit, those fingers moved down, trailing along her slit. Fuck him raw.

Bodie reached out, his hand landing on her shoulder. He felt clumsy as a dancing bear, his feet tripping over each other. He got there, though, leaning down to kiss her hello.

Addie pushed right up, kissing him back like his girl was starving, needing bad.

His thigh slid between hers, his knee resting on the seat of the chair. The move was supposed to brace him, but it sent them rocking, almost throwing him ass over teakettle.

Her laughter winged out, wrapped around him, and he grabbed her. “Girl, you’re gonna be the death of me.”

Addie snorted, dropped a kiss on his lips. “Not a chance. Make me come, cowboy.”

“Well, I got this logistical problem.” He lifted her against him, staggering back, hoping to hell that bench was where he thought it was. Bingo.

“Don’t get splinters in your heinie,” she warned.

“I promise not to sacrifice too much skin to the cause.” Her pussy rubbed against his cock as they wiggled, getting settled. Her breasts pressed to his chest, her nipples hard as little stones.

He lifted her a little—partially because he needed to taste those pretty peaks and partially because he could, damn it. She was tiny, and he wanted her to think he was strong. Even if his back didn’t agree. Lord, that hay had taken its toll.

Addie helped, hands on his shoulders, one sweet pink nipple between his lips.

Closing his eyes, Bodie sucked, working that tiny bit of flesh with his tongue. Her little moan of pleasure made him feel like Superman. He loved how she rippled, how she wanted him. Wet, hot, she rubbed on him, and his cock pushed up, expectation making him pant.

“Want you.” She reached, curling up over him and coming back with a condom. “Wanna?”

“You’re a magician. Of course I wanna.” Surely she had to be able to feel how much.

“Good.” She tore the rubber packet open, gloved him up, then started sliding the tip of his cock over her clit, the wet heat damn near unbearable, even through the condom. There was this boldness about her, a wildness that managed not to be slutty, just stunningly lovely.

Her lips parted, eyelids getting heavy as she pleasured herself, worked her nub with him.

“God, Addie. Make me crazy.” His whole body clenched, trying to hold back.

“Uh-huh. You feel good, cowboy, thick and hot.”

“You’re so wet for me.” He reached down, pushing her folds open so he could slide his cock down, searching to be inside her.

“Yeah.” She dropped down over him, the motion sweet and slow, her body holding him tight. The view was unreal, and the feeling had him gritting his teeth, holding his breath a little.

Jesus, she was like a fire around him, like a fucking wet dream as she rode him. Her hands clenched on his shoulders. The skin of her thighs felt like silk against his rougher flesh. He cupped one hip, reached down to stroke her slick pussy with the other hand.

Bodie found her clit, rubbing it with his fingers, circling as his hips moved. He needed her right there with him.

She made this low sound, rough and raw and pure horny woman. God, that was hotter than the Fourth of July. She didn’t hide anything, and he was addicted. Her pussy clenched around his cock as he plucked at her clit and her lips parted, the want written there, plain as day.

His mouth slammed down on hers, Bodie taking those sweet lips, his tongue echoing the motion of his cock inside her.

He felt her come, her muscles fluttering around his prick as she slid over the edge. Cheeks flushed, lips red from his kisses, she was the most beautiful thing he’d ever seen. God, he loved her.

Whoa. He—oh, hell.

Her eyes opened, she winked at him, then started riding him, hard. There wasn’t a barrel racer on earth who could ride better than she did. Thank God, she didn’t wear spurs. The thought made him chuckle, which had her bouncing.

“Laughing at me?” She took a hard kiss. It damned near made his ears ring, that kiss, made his breath hitch in his chest.

She reached back behind, nails teasing his balls as she came down.

“Fuck. Oh, fuck, honey.” He was gonna lose it.

“Mmm-hmm. Give it up, cowboy.”

“Addie.” He groaned her name, his hips rocking up, his dick pushing deep when he came. His balls emptied, white static buzzing in his ears.

“Mmm. That was fun.” Damned woman, who could come and come and still be perky. “And I brought cookies.”

“I like cookies.” Or at least that was what Bodie thought he’d said. It might have been more like, “Snookies.”
