Writing is a tough thing to love. This book wouldn’t have been written without the help, support, and encouragement of so many fellow writers, including Nancy Edwards Johnson and Aileen Nalen, and the many great folks in my writing group, LCRW. It doesn’t hurt to have an incredibly supportive spouse who takes the kiddos to the movies so I can write without stopping to pour juice or referee fights, and has never once questioned why I spend so much time at the keyboard. And thanks to the stranger who inspired this story: a hot guy getting into a hot car with California plates in my tiny New York town that got me thinking, “What’s a guy like you doing in a place like this?’
