Synopsis

Determined to regain her freedom, the spirited earthling locks horns with the Noble Monster who is determined to show her the pleasures of submitting to the “master” on Planet Janna!

Biologist Dr. Irina Evans is on her way to catalog a newfound planet's life forms when her spaceship is attacked by raiders from planet Janna and she is taken captive.

Enslaved, fitted with an explosive tracking collar and humiliated by her captors, she struggles to hold on to both hope and her self-respect. But when a handsome local buys her at auction, she's shocked to discover that she has become the new sex slave of the planet's High Commander, Kaelon.

On Janna, human sex slaves have been used for generations as entertainment and breeding stock. Enraged by this sordid practice and determined to regain her freedom, the spirited Irina locks horns with her new “master” time and again.

But her resistance only intrigues the sexy alien ruler—and she finds it harder and harder to resist his allure. As they fall for each other, their relationship changes...and with the release of her collar, things change more than she expected.

When a rival nobleman seeks to possess Irina to humiliate her new owner, Irina fights back with everything she has. Kaelon must race against time to save her from his dangerous foe—who is willing to fight to the death to keep his claim.

When battle is joined, only one can win—and will the winner let Irina go, or seek to possess her forever?

The Auction

“Watch out for that one, she bites.”

Rough laughter as Irina was pulled from the back of the windowless transport. She squinted around in the sudden brightness, realizing that she was far from the slave quarters she had lived in for at least four months. She was standing in a town square somewhere else on Planet Janna.

The tall metal spindles of their housing towers threw stripes of shadow across the broad, stone square. Food stalls and traveling merchant tables lined the edges of the square, while the center was dominated by an enormous low stage. Locals milled around the area, gathering at the base of the stage in droves to await the start of the slave auction.

“Get the girls up on the block. We have three transports to empty out today, and they’re only giving us until sundown for the sale. Move!” The foreman, a huge, hairy man with an underbite and a leather harness across his broad belly, clapped his meaty hands together to get the other slavers moving faster.

Irina stumbled as her feet hit the flagstones, and the squat, leathery-skinned man holding the chain on the other end of her collar jerked her upright brutally, letting out a low growl in her ear. She smelled his stinking breath and resisted the urge to drive an elbow backward into his jaw. She was a captive of these damn aliens, spending most of her stay languishing in one of their slave training facilities while she awaited auction.

They didn't like marking up the human females that they captured, so they usually used pain inducers. One of the wand-shaped devices hung from the belt of the slaver behind her. She might be able to do him some damage, but the moment he got his breath back, he would jam that thing into her back and she would end up in convulsions.

They hadn’t broken her, unlike many of the slaves back at the training facility. She neither cringed in fear at the slavers, nor simpered and caved in to Stockholm syndrome. Once or twice she had fought back...and it had earned her something of a reputation.

She was a small, curvy woman, with pale skin, enormous green eyes and a wavy mass of dark red hair that fell to her mid-back when loose. Before chaining her and shoving her in the transport, the slavers had bathed her, perfumed her, combed out her hair, made her up like a hooker and shoved her into an almost sheer minidress of some pink, silky material that barely covered her groin. She constantly tugged the hem down as they pushed her forward to get into line with the others.

“So what’s the fuss over the redhead?” she overheard one of the slavers ask.

“Well, you know Drax?” the man behind her replied.

“The dog shifter? The one who went off on medical leave?”

“Yeah, that one.” He shoved her ahead of him, still short-leashing her so she couldn’t turn around. “He decided that he was going to sample the goods about three weeks ago. So he goes into the cage with her, and well...let's just say that when she decides she doesn't want somebody to fuck her, she'll take pain inducers in the ribs all night and still fight back.”

“That's ridiculous! Is she even salable?”

“Well, we're going to have to see. Some males are into that, although I doubt that they'd be very interested once they found out where she bit Drax.”

“Let's just keep quiet about that then. It's not like we owe these idiots full disclosure.”

Irina gritted her teeth as she was forced into line behind six other girls. The rattling of chains behind her told her that the line was quickly growing much longer than that.

Soon, she would be up on that stage with the others, watching her life get auctioned off to the highest bidder. And then, she would be fending off some horny, rapacious beast-man for probably the rest of her life. Hopefully, it wouldn't be a very long one.

She tugged at the hem of her dress again as she walked up the short set of stairs to the auction block. A steel bar ran the length of the block, and the slaver holding her quickly locked her neck chain to it.

Beside her, a tiny Asian girl that couldn't have been more than sixteen years old cried quietly as she stared out over the crowd. Irina wanted to tell the girl that things would be alright.

She wanted to say something comforting, but nothing that came into her head seemed adequate. The truth was that they were captives, probably for good, on a world where humans were chattel.

Earth Command had never successfully retrieved any of the women stolen by the Janna raiders. Not that they had ever tried very hard. The Raiders only kidnapped women, and Earth Command, for all its technical advances, was still a male-dominated dinosaur of an organization. Why would those in power care about something that could not affect them directly?

“Shhhh, hey,” she murmured. She had to say something. The girl’s sniffling lessened slightly, and she turned her head to look at Irina. “You gotta try and stay strong. These goddamn animals will enjoy it if they see you suffering. Be tough. Don't give them the pleasure of your tears.”

The girl swallowed and nodded almost imperceptibly, setting her jaw against further sobbing. Irina went silent, wary of the penalties for talking with other slaves. Right now, her only hope of getting away from the slave pens was if she was bought by one of the beast-men, and even then, she had an even chance of ending up with one just as brutal as the slavers.

“Keep them moving you idiots, they're almost ready to start!” The foreman held up his pain inducer and pulled the trigger, making it snap and let out the stink of ozone as a warning. He was not above using the thing on his own men if he felt they needed the motivation.

A few minutes of yelling, shoving and female sobbing later, all twenty of the slaves to be auctioned stood at the bar, chained to it by the neck. Some of the women stood silently, as Irina did.

Some wept quietly, some looked around wide eyed as if trapped in a nightmare, and some twitched and tugged at their chains, wobbly smiles on their faces, all sanity gone from their eyes.

Irina didn't have the energy left to pity the last ones. At least insanity was a sort of refuge from what they were going through. She and the others who had not yet succumbed to it were forced to tough it out in reality, and that was infinitely harder.

“Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Tower Town’s 150th annual slave auction.” The foreman spoke in a booming voice that cut through the crowd’s muttering and silenced it.

“Today we have an assortment of human women for you, including some real beauties and at least a few virgins. All are of breeding age, and all have been trained for obedience at our state-of-the-art center. Bidding starts at three hundred credits.”

Savages
, Irina thought bitterly. The beast-men all seemed to be just as vicious and primitive as humans from thousands of years ago. Their society was technologically advanced, but socially retarded. They kept slaves, they had public executions, and most conflicts appeared to be settled with bloody duels. As the foreman yammered on with his pitch, she looked out over the crowd, despising every face that she saw.

The beast-men of Janna had been nicknamed that by humans for the disconcerting ability they possessed to turn into different animals. It was theorized by some human anthropologists that the beast-men had visited Earth at some point, giving rise to legends such as werewolves.

The creatures that they turned into varied widely, from what she had been able to determine. Many of them resembled mammals or birds of Earth, or sometimes reptiles. But these alien beings had a variety of shift forms, some of which she had never even encountered.

The first time that she had tried to fight back, immediately after being plucked off of her transport ship, Irina had suddenly found herself pinned down by some hissing thing covered with blue scales that had two hideous triangular heads.

Her guess was that the shifters, who had a great knowledge of Earth including of its flora and fauna, simply emulated unconsciously whatever creature they saw or heard about. She didn't really understand the mechanics of it, but the point was that she was surrounded by shape shifters, and was probably about to become the property of one of them.

“Next up we have this lovely redhead,” called the foreman, and she found herself unchained from the pole and dragged forward to stand in front of his podium. A ripple went through the crowd as she was shoved to the edge of the stage. She looked down into upturned faces with an assortment of bestial features.

Two of the men in front, leering as they tried to look up her brief dress, had small horns poking from their foreheads. One of the others was tall and burly, and had a flat nose and yellow eyes like a cat's; he gave her a feral grin that showed all his pointed teeth. She kept staring around at them defiantly as the foreman continued his pitch.

“This young lady was freshly harvested from the Earth spacing lanes not four months ago. She has been trained in a variety of pleasure arts, and is guaranteed to be entertaining or your money back.

Gentlemen, you should be warned that no man of insufficient strength should try with this one. She's feisty, and it'll take a real man to keep her in line.” She had to admit, it took a real talent at blarney to turn a warning into a sales angle.

As she stared coldly out over the crowd, she noticed a man pushing his way to the front of the podium. He was almost a head taller than anyone in the crowd, and unlike most of the men in their brightly colored cloth and leather finery; he wore a set of gold--chased black armor topped by a white cloak.

A sword with a heavily jeweled hilt peeked over the top of his shoulder; he was built like he could have felled a large tree with it. Besides the strangely antiquated looking outfit, he was quite striking--for a beast-man.

His skin was very white, his hair, which fell in waves down to his shoulders, was very black, and his eyes were such an intense green that she could see them even before he reached the edge of the stage.

He pushed his way to the front, past the ugly man with the yellow eyes, and stared up at her. Not at her thighs, not at her breasts, but at her face. He seemed to be trying to catch her eye. She struggled to ignore him, but that gaze of his was captivating.

“Given how fast the other girls have gone, the bidding on this one is going to start at three hundred and fifty credits. Remember, this one is for advanced Masters only. Don't come whining back to me if she ends up more than you can handle. Now. Can I see three hundred fifty?”

Male voices rose from the crowd, bidding on her future. Irina set her teeth together so hard that the corners of her jaws ached. The bids climbed and climbed as the foreman continued to extol the virtues of her body, as if she was a sex doll standing up there on the stage instead of a thinking being with rights.

“Now besides the hair, which believe me is the same color all over, you will notice that she has a very nice set of tits. And this skin. Not a single blemish. Got some great child-bearing hips on her--”

“Ten thousand.”

The deep voice rang out in a tone of command. Irina looked up in shock, and suddenly realized that the armored man had been the one to speak.

The foreman gaped for a moment, and then smiled broadly and continued. “Well, it seems that we have a few celebrities among our bidders today. That is ten thousand credits. Could I hear ten thousand one hundred?”

“Eleven thousand.” The raspy voice came from the yellow-eyed man, who shot a defiant glare over his shoulder at the armored one.

The first man's eyes narrowed. “Fifteen thousand.” His voice was still calm and decisive, even as gasps erupted from the crowd.

The yellow-eyed man let out a low growl--and the bidding war was on. “Sixteen thousand.”

“Seventeen thousand.”

“Seventeen five.”

“Twenty thousand.” The armored man stayed almost expressionless, his voice calm and full of confidence, as if he was shouting orders to a rank of soldiers. The rest of the crowd had gone silent, breathlessly watching the contest.

“Twenty one thousand.”

“Thirty.”

Now even the yellow-eyed man was gaping at him. He opened his mouth to contest the bid, but then closed it again, glaring at me and then at his rival.

“That is thirty thousand credits, going once, going twice--sold, one human fertile female redhead, age twenty-eight solar years, to High Commander Kaelon!”

The crowd erupted in shouts, and she felt her heart sink.
My name is Irina
, she thought angrily as she met the man’s gaze.
I am a scientist and a free citizen of Earth.

But none of that mattered here. As soon as a coffer of money was brought forward, she was dragged to the stairs, and her chain leash put in the armored man's hand.
