“
Hello, Mr. Noble, my lover and husband. Welcome to my world. Come in to stay forever.”

The
whole group was clapping loudly and cheering as they stood there looking at each other. The couple was oblivious to anything other than each other for a few minutes.

Then
the family members and friends came up to congratulate them.

“
What a marvelously beautiful couple you are. It was tremendous to have such a fantastic setting for a wedding. You have done an incredible job,” remarked the minister’s wife. “I could not understand my husband’s description of it and now can see why. It is indescribable. Who would be able to ever expect or imagine such a scene as this has turned out to be? I would never have ever dreamed of something this special and wonderful.

It
is hard to imagine how you thought of it all. This is truly an unprecedented event in this area and an outstanding one, both for you and for me. I never imagined I would ever live through such an experience. I am overcome with amazement and joy. Thank you so much. I feel sad that the whole world could not have seen it, too. It is certainly worthy.”

All
the guests came up to say hello and wished them well. Her parents came up to hug them.

“
You look so wonderful. There just are no words to describe it. I am speechless. I saw part of the decorations before but not all that was done this morning,” exclaimed her mother. “It is just simply elegant, and I am not sure that is a fitting word. You should go into the business of planning weddings. You could make a lot of people happy.”

“
Not yet,” replied Todd. “We have other plans for a while before we do anything. We shall escape for at least a month and maybe more depending on what we find to do. This is a once-in-a-lifetime event and we plan to make it as memorable as possible. Besides, the work here was not all ours. We had a great deal of wonderful help, which we deeply appreciate.”

All
the family and guests came up to wish them well a second time and began to enjoy the reception set up so elegantly for them. Nancy was thrilled for them and hugged them dearly. It had been a wonderful time. They all helped themselves to the food and drinks and deposited the cards and gifts.

The
married couple mingled as long as they felt was sociably acceptable and then they left for the house to change and go to the beach to be alone, while the rest were cleaning up the garden and the house. Triessa asked her mother to come help her get out of her dress. Before they left, they took one last look at the beautiful Rose Garden, the scene of their wonderful marriage; the most special event ever to have been recorded in this town. It was true, at last, they were now Mr. and Mrs. Todd Noble. She was the same woman, yet in a different world, part of two families and a wonderful man’s life and world. She was off to far distant lands tomorrow on a fantastic and wonderful honeymoon and a new and marvelous lifetime. How glorious it would all be and how delightful. They were packed but would check on everything tonight. Tonight, the first night of their married lives. The first, but a wonderful beginning to something that would grow into a more splendid and spectacular relationship, continually increasing in joy and happiness.

They
went back to the house to change and be off on their own. She wore some of the slacks she had made; they would be more comfortable on the beach. But how hard to take off her gorgeous dress. She gently put it back in the closet. She would like to wear it for a long time. He wore some jeans and a shirt. They both took along a sweater and jacket in case it got cold, as it sometimes did near the ocean. Then they ran down to the car and he held and kissed her before they got in.

He
said, “Hello, Mrs. Noble. May I take you for a drive?”

“
I would be delighted, Mr. Noble. I think there should have been fireworks, not that I would have noticed them. Everything else was so exquisite and hard to take my eyes away from, especially my handsome prince husband. Doubt if I would even have seen rockets.”

They
got in and off they went by themselves at last for a long time.

“
How long do you think it will take, darling?” she asked. “When should we go back to the house?”

“
Oh, I don’t know. Let’s give them a couple hours. By then, it should be nearly done and we can wait around if it is not.”

They
drove up to the place where they stopped the other day, Pleasant Point, and sat there in the car. They held each other and kissed for a while without the usual restraint and then decided to get out and walk along the beach for a while. It seemed like two hours would be a lifetime.
What would they do for all this time?

“
We can go into the little restaurant where we were the other day and have some coffee. How does that sound to you, Mrs. Noble?”

“
It sounds delightful to me, Mr. Noble; how wonderful that sounds to be called Mrs. Noble. You have always been Mr. Noble, just so I could become Mrs. Noble.”

So
they got into the car and drove the short distance to the restaurant. They went in, were seated and ordered. While waiting they began to talk.

“
It was swell at the garden. Everything was so absolutely beautiful. I tried to imagine how it would look, but my thoughts could not do it justice. I was so pleased to the see the ice sculpture as a colored rose with green leaves. I hope it got put into a freezer immediately so we can keep it for a while. It was a marvelous idea and I know Reese came up with it. His romance surprises me. And the little glass swans were so elegant. I hope they are ours to keep. I loved them so. Everyone did a marvelous job. We must get some special gifts to send back to them. Let us be sure to take all the addresses with us tomorrow. Our honeymoon, my darling, we made it. At times it seemed impossible and here we are. I guess after all the long, hard waiting, we can wait a couple more hours. Let’s eat something here and we will not be hungry when we get home. We will not have to bother with getting something ready.”

“
Yes, my precious, that is a wonderful idea. Tonight we want to have free and clear for us. We will plan to retire early and enjoy our wedding night to the utmost. This is what we’ve been waiting so very long for. We need to release all the tension that has built up. Is it real? I am sure it is but it still seems so unreal especially since we still have to wait for our wedding night. If we had left tonight we would have been flying all night so it would be much worse and a lot longer, hours and hours. A still longer wait.”

“
Oh, yes, my darling, I am glad we decided to stay over here tonight and leave tomorrow. Our flight leaves at ten o’clock, so we can leave the house at nine o’clock and make it in plenty of time.”

Their
meal came and they ate slowly, so they would get back when everyone had left. They were not hungry except for each other and the love they had been awaiting for so very long to fulfill.

Soon
they felt enough time had elapsed and went back to the house. They drove up in front to find the house empty with messages and gifts everywhere. As they got to the door he put his hand on her arm to stop her, bent down scooped her up, kissed her, and carried her into the house, their wedding abode for tonight.

“
Welcome home, my precious princess. Your every wish will always be my command. My motto will be ‘for your pleasure!’ You are now my princess bride; the time we have waited so long for has at last arrived. It is hard to believe but we will make it a very special night. Certainly one to remember always. All that we have done and been through is so truly amazing and almost incredible as we look back on it. That word has such deep meaning most overlook. And we have just begun. I want it to go on forever and ever.”

As
they entered the house and looked around she looked at him and said, “I know my parents will take care of this for us. We will just leave it and get things ready for tomorrow. Then we can concentrate on each other with no thoughts of having to do anything. In the morning we can just get ready and leave. Nancy said she would take care of things here while we are gone.”

They
looked at their watches. It was early evening but they decided to call it a day.

“
It is time for us, my precious princess bride,” exclaimed Todd with great emotion. He had a new gleam in his eye that she had not seen before and it excited her tremendously. “Let me carry you up the stairs and into our blessed wedding night!”

He
picked her up and held her ever so close to him and kissed her, a deep kiss of passion, and walked up the stairs to their bedroom. She reached down and opened the door for him and he took her in and put her on her bed, now their bed. He bent over her and kissed her in a long, passionate kiss.

“
Oh, my sweet love, can you really believe it is actually here, our time has come? I want to love you wildly yet soft and passionately. My desire for you has been so increasingly powerful over the last weeks. I have suffered and ached for you and a time like this. It is part of marriage that will always keep us very close and in love. It will be a precious and special time for us.”

He
began to remove her clothing gently as if unwrapping a precious and fragile gift, which she was, and laying them aside. He was so gentle with her and took her into his arms and lay down beside her to lead her up to the most passionate moment of their life to this point.

“
Ecstasy is what it is called, but we will discover and unveil our own words, once we know what it is like, my darling,” he whispered to her as he caressed her softly, gently arousing her.

They
continued to hold each other and kiss each other gently. He wanted to slowly and deeply arouse her until she could wait no longer. He kissed her eyes, her cheeks, her lips and pushed her over the line until they were deep into their first love making. This was the first time for them and they were overwhelmed and breathless at what they had experienced. And they knew it would get much better as they continued in their life, though it was difficult to imagine how. They lay beside each other for some time and then began to kiss and hold each other again. Before they knew it they were making love again and were carried to a far, distant height which they had not known existed.

They
got up and got into the shower together and he said, “I never knew a shower could be so much fun. Oh, my precious love, what a truly marvelous thing this has been. It seemed like it would never be here and now we are in it.”

They
held each other and kissed while the water streamed down over them. He followed the trickles of water with his hand as they flowed down over her lovely curved breasts and her beautiful, shapely body.

“
Turn around,” he said, “And I will wash your back for you. What a beautiful back it is too. Oh, how could I have been such a lucky fellow!”

They
finished their shower, dried off, and got ready for bed. They lay there holding each other until they fell asleep, to rest and dream. It had been a truly marvelous night. They slept soundly and awoke early and held each other closely to be sure this was real.

“
It is so wonderful to wake up and have you there,” she said. “I woke in the night and just watched you sleeping, breathing the quiet sound sleep, and was so thankful.”

He
reached for her again. They kissed and got into the love making mood again and were passionately carried away into a dream world.

“
You are so precious, my sweetheart,” he whispered in her ear. “What a marvel of life this is going to be freedom to love and be totally at ease with one another in such a full and meaningful togetherness. No more restraint and pain. I wish we did not have to get up and get ready to leave, but we must be off to begin our life together and improve it every day. I love you with such a depth and desire; it is unspeakable. It would be impossible to do otherwise, my darling.”

“
And I love you the same, if not more so. I find it so hard to find the right words. We have just experienced a pleasure we could not have felt before or even imagine. Something so deep and overwhelming. How can I say it? It may come in time. It is going to take time for all this to really sink in.”

They
got up, showered and dressed, and got ready to go. They had a couple hours before they needed to be at the airport. He got the luggage ready and took it downstairs. She put on the travel suit she had made earlier. It was a champagne color and the lapels had beautiful pink lace on them; the skirt was below the knee with an opening on one side. A blouse made of lace fitted just over the waistband of her skirt. She had a champagne colored hat and gloves as well. He was wearing a blue travel suit with a white shirt which had a small blue design in it. She was taking her burgundy luggage and his was a rich dark blue.

“
Shall we leave early and have breakfast at the airport restaurant?” he suggested. “Then you will not have to get anything ready. You are dressed so beautifully, and besides, this is a vacation for you.”

“
That is a wonderful idea; I will certainly go along with that. Let’s be sure to lock up everything before we leave. This is different from our usual leaving. We won’t be back here for some time now. When we do, we will be wiser and more experienced in many ways. We will live all we can on our honeymoon.”
