I couldn't have written a novel that involves crimes and ghosts without a lot of help (and a lifetime spent with Nancy Drew and Ouija boards). Thanks for the keen insights of Anne Bohner, Anna Michels, and Shana Drehs; the eagle eyes of Sabrina Baskey, Heather Hall, and Patricia Esposito; to the entire team at Sourcebooks; and the weekly cheerleading and suggestions of fellow authors Beth Kephart, Merry Jones, and Greg Frost.

My writing friends in the Liars Club and the lively Philadelphia writing community propped me up with all kinds of other important things, like craft beer. (Don't judge me. Try writing something outside your comfort zone, and you'll be at a bar by nightfall.)

In short, I thank everyone who ever encouraged me to keep trying something new. (Except my hairstylist in 1992. You were wrong. I cannot pull off short baby bangs.)
