“Deep breath,” Cooper whispered against her ear. She felt his fingers jar the clamp and knew he was going to take it off. She had just enough time to suck in air when he released the throbbing nipple. A wave of pleasure washed over her body and she closed her eyes to ride it out.

“That’s my girl,” Cooper said, his voice strained. “Ready for the other one?”

Even though she shook her head no, Cyn felt Cooper grab the other clamp and release it. She cried out as another surge of desire pounded against her nerve endings. Cyn knew she couldn’t take much more.

“Are you ready to come for us?”

Cyn nodded her answer to Brody’s question and then laid her forehead against Cooper’s chest. Knowing that she was about to experience something that she wasn’t sure she could recover from, Cyn tightened her hold on Cooper until her knuckles turned white. She felt Brody reach around for her clit clamp.

“Come for us,” Cooper whispered in her ear as Brody released the soft pads that had held her clit hostage. The blood rushed in, allowing her body to explode. Cyn screamed, never having felt anything so intense as the massive orgasm they had just given her. As they drove into her, carrying her orgasm out further and further until she saw black spots in front of her vision, she heard each of them declare their love.

“Wake up, sleeping beauty.”

Was that coffee? Cyn popped one eye open to see Cooper holding two cups of steaming-hot liquid. He situated himself against the headboard, getting close enough to her so that he was able to wrap his arm around her head and hand her the much-needed caffeine.

“What time is it?” Cyn asked, reaching for the warm mug.

She scooted herself up a little bit, so that her back was tucked against Cooper’s side. She felt something heavy against her hips and looked down to see Brody’s arm draped over her. He was lying on his stomach. His face, which was shadowed with his unshaved whiskers, was facing toward her.

“Almost noon,” Cooper answered. “You feel asleep right after we cleaned you up and tucked you back into bed.”

“Hmmm,” Cyn said, after having taken that delicious first sip, “I remember a really warm washcloth.”

“Do you remember anything else?” Cooper said, chuckling.

Cyn knew he was talking of those three words they both had spoken. She took another taste of coffee, giving herself some time before answering. She used her other hand to trail her fingers across Brody’s arm. The edge of his mouth lifted in a small smile, indicating that he was awake. Needing more time, she switched topics.

“Who were you on the phone with earlier this morning?”

“Monroe,” Cooper said, pausing to enjoy his coffee. “You won’t believe this, but Anna Cruz was nowhere to be found when his agents converged around her vehicle.”

Cyn tilted her head toward his, looking at his amused expression. “What? That’s impossible,” Cyn argued. “We all saw her get in.”

“I know, but somehow, someway, that woman escaped.”

“You sound as if that impresses you,” Cyn said, feeling the color green crawl around inside of her. Since when did she get jealous of other women?

“It’s not impressive so much as unbelievable,” Cooper replied, leaning over the side of the bed and placing his mug on the nightstand. “I can’t figure out how she was able to get out of the vehicle without anyone seeing her.”

“What about the shipment?” Brody asked, his voice gruff with sleep. Leaning up on his elbows, he rubbed his eyes with one hand. “Were all the weapons accounted for?”

“Yes,” Cooper answered, pulling Cyn closer to him and placing his chin on top of her head.

“What kind of intel do they have on Anna Cruz?”

Cyn stiffened in Cooper’s arms. They weren’t really thinking of offering their services again, were they? Thinking about what had happened, she now understood where her jealousy was coming from. Right before Anna got into the car, she had looked over at Cyn and the sadness reflected on her face was something that Cyn had recognized, since she had felt it herself a couple of times. It was envy. When Shea and Elise had found love and been in the arms of their men, Cyn had felt that same resentment. Her friends had had something she didn’t—until now.

“No worries, Silk,” Cooper murmured against her hair, then kissed her ear. “We’re happy here in Triple and have no need to seek excitement elsewhere. You are all we need.”

Brody leaned over and placed little kisses over her abdomen. “I just wanted to make sure we didn’t need to worry about her returning to disrupt our lives.”

Her mind drifted back to last night, when Sonny Jones held her at gunpoint. Cyn had never seen Brody as scared as he’d been in that moment. Even when they were teenagers and she had tried to ride a horse bareback, Brody hadn’t shown fear the way he did last night. And when that look of fear had turned to hatred for the man holding her life in his hands, Cyn finally understood how much they loved her. Brody would have had no remorse for taking another life—one that would have taken hers. He loved fiercely and would protect those he loved with his own life.

“Will you marry me?” She felt both men go as still as if they were surrounded by stinging bees. She suppressed a giggle and then leaned across Cooper to place her mug next to his. Shimmying back into place, she urged Brody to sit up. She knew she needed to do this right. “Last night made me realize that life is too short to worry about the what-ifs. Sonny Jones could have shot me and I never would have had the chance to tell you that I love you. I love you both, with every breath I take and every beat of my heart. You give me life in a way that I never thought I would be able to live—truly happy. I see things differently, with hope and excitement as to what the next day will bring. I can only be thankful that you didn’t give up on me and that we have been given another chance to get this right. We can have an opulent life that has nothing to do with me being wealthy, and everything to do with our love.”

Cyn climbed to her knees in order to see both of their faces. What were they thinking? What were they feeling? They had told her they loved her and Cyn wasn’t one to waste time once she made up her mind. Would they say yes? She never had been known for her patience.

“You have no idea what you mean to us, Cyn,” Brody said, taking her by surprise by being the first one of them to speak. “The light that is within your soul beckoned me in a way no other ever has and gave me hope where I thought there was none. I love you, Cyn.”

“It’s my hope that one day you will truly feel the depth of what we feel for you, Silk. But don’t think for a second that we’re going to allow you to go around town telling people that it was you who asked us to marry you. So,” Cooper said, pausing while he and Brody got off the mattress and kneeled alongside the bed, “will you marry us, Ms. Cynthia Sherwood-Hightower?”

“Yes!” Cyn shouted, laughing and then falling into their arms, knowing they would catch her.

Epilogue

“How mad would you be if I said we have a date on Friday night?” Elliott asked his brother, who was about to head upstairs to bed.

Mitch stopped before his foot hit the first step and turned around. Elliott had not seen the man smile since before his time spent in jail. He had hoped Mitch would acclimate to society quicker than he had, which was why Elliott had signed them up for the dating service that Elise, Cyn, and Shea had created.

“You mean, if you had a date? I don’t care who you fuck,” Mitch said in his usual bad-tempered manner.

“No, not me. We.” That got Mitch’s attention, and unfortunately, in the exact pissed attitude he thought he would get. His brother scowled, his five-o’clock shadow hiding the scar that ran along his jaw. “And a real date—you know, where there’s conversation, dinner, and wine.”

“Tell me you did not sign us up for that fucking website,” Mitch said with a growl, turning away from the stairs and walking into the living room where Elliott was sitting at the desk in front of the computer. “I told you before, a quick fuck is one thing if you bring home a willing woman. If you want something more serious than that, I’m not stopping you. Just leave me out of it.”

Elliott watched as his brother stomped up the stairs, surprised that with his height, width, and weight, Mitch didn’t put a hole through one of the steps. He counted to three and, sure enough, heard his bedroom door slam shut. Elliott sighed. It killed him to see his brother so unhappy.

Looking at the screen, a pair of soft blue eyes stared back at him. They seemed to contain a little sadness that tugged at his heartstrings. He wasn’t sure she was the right one, considering he was doing this to get Mitch back to the land of the living, but there was something about this woman that called to him.

He looked at the details below. She was five foot six inches and weighed one hundred and thirty pounds. Hmpfh, he thought, she was light as a feather compared to his large frame. She was single and looking for a relationship. Seeing as this was a ménage website, Elliott assumed she understood what that meant. She had blue eyes and auburn hair, although he couldn’t see how long it was due to the fact she had it pulled back in the picture. According to her profile, she lived in Phoenix but was willing to come and stay at the local B&B for a short while to see if some type of chemistry existed in whoever would like to take her to dinner. He wondered what kind of job she had if she could take time off of work that easily. Her hobbies included running, swimming, and hiking. Elliott made a face, pulling his mouth down in contemplation. Mitch had always liked the athletic type.

“Well, Miss Anna Valdez, let’s see if we have that chemistry you speak of,” Elliott murmured to himself as he placed his fingers on the keyboard. “And if we do, let’s hope you have the solution to bring Mitch out of his shell.”
