I took all I could into my mouth, testing my own reflexes before I slowly pulled back, my eyes looking up at Duke. He was awake then, a look of surprise on his face.

“Fuck, sweetie,” Duke said in a sleepy voice as he groaned.

I pulled off his cock with a wet sound and licked my lips. “Good morning… or I guess good afternoon.”

I went right back at him, sucking him.

I took all I could again and stayed there, my tongue rubbing against the bottom of his shaft, inching up and back, loving the taste of him in my mouth. I put my hands to his legs and felt his muscles tight and flexed. When I pulled back, Duke thrust at me, fucking my mouth. I stayed with him, going up and down, groaning each time his cock approached the very back of my throat. There were a few times when I thought he was going too far but he never did.

Even getting his dick sucked, Duke was amazing at it.

He pulled himself back and sat up a little, taking in the full effect of me on my knees on the bed, over him, my right hand then trying to grip the root of his cock while my mouth continued to slide up and down his amazing shaft.

When I felt Duke’s hand touch my head, my legs started to quiver. My panties quickly dampened and I felt a heat surge through my body. He didn’
t take his stare off me as he started to guide me, taking a fistful of my hair, pumping my mouth down and up on him. He gently fucked at my mouth, sighing each time he did so. It was only when he started to groan that I knew he was getting close to coming. That made me anxious, wanting to taste all of his warm release. To swallow him down, it was my own way of maybe claiming him.

Duke gritted and sucked in a breath. His body rocked back and forth at me. His grip let go of my hair and he took handfuls of the bed sheets.

“Yeah, sweetie,” he groaned. “I’m right there. Get ready for me.”

I groaned, my body aching for him.

I sped up, vowing not to stop no matter what.

A few seconds later, he started to come. As I pulled back the first shot hit me. I paused and groaned, finding a way to swallow him. I went back down and pulled back again with the pulse of his cock. My hand quickly started to jerk at him. His entire cock throbbed each time he entered my mouth.

I did just as I wanted to, tasting everything Duke had to offer. And even after he was finished, I slowly went down a few more times making sure there wasn’t a single drop wasted.

I pulled away from him and remained there on my knees, trying to catch my breath.

Duke reached for me, taking my hands, our fingers interlocking. His cock rested against his stomach, glistening from my mouth, still throbbing to the pulse of his heartbeat.

“I could deal with that for the rest of my life,” he said.

“Breakfast is the most important meal of the day,” I said with a smile. “I could deal with it too.”

Duke smiled. “I’m in this for good, sweetie. I hope you realize that. No matter what happens. So if you have any worries or doubts you let me know. I’m going to protect you, Belle, for the rest of your life. I’ve staked my claim and I’ll never give up on that.”

“That’s the only thing I need you to do, Duke, is come back from this fight,” I said. “So we can work out the forever part of it all.”

“You’re coming with me,” Duke said. “We’re all together in this. Just in case something happens with the clubhouse. You’ll enjoy yourself.”

I wasn’t so sure about that, but I wasn’t going to argue with Duke. He had done everything he said he’d do so far.

“What do we do now?” I asked.

“Well, we have a while until we leave. My pants are open. My cock is hanging out.”

“And…?” I asked with a flirty grin.

Duke pulled at my hands, bringing me on top of him.

We both started to laugh… but that only lasted a few minutes.

After that, it was down to business… naked business.

chapter twenty-nine.

(duke)

I threw another wicked right hook and smashed the guy in the jaw. I swore his jaw moved a foot off the rest of his mouth as he spun around. He grabbed for the ropes and missed with one hand, grabbed with the other, and ended up on his knees. He started to pull himself back to his feet, the crowd all around us going wild. They wanted more violence, I just wanted to get the fuck out of the ring.

I hadn’t been slated to fight but the guys suggested I get in the ring and earn a little cash for the MC and I wasn’t going to turn that down. So I stripped to my jeans and boots and got into the ring to take on some tattoo punk name Wreck.

And trust me, the fucker got wrecked bad.

He managed to get to his feet one last time. His knees bobbled as he looked back at me. He gave a nod, wanting to go down with honor. That was fine with me. One last punch finally knocked his ass out for good.

When he hit the mat, the crowd exploded with cheers. I went to my corner and that’s where Cash and Austin were waiting for me. All in all it was a decent fight. My right eye was swollen and bleeding. My jaw hurt. My bottom lip was still bleeding. My muscles were achy and tired. I just wanted a fucking beer and to fuck Belle.

But that was hours away.

The next fight was the big one.

It was Jim’s fight.

I climbed out of the ring and walked through the crowd. People shouted at me for winning. They were happy they won money. People shouted bad shit at me because I had won the fight. They were unhappy they lost money.

None of that mattered to me. I walked to a table where the rest of the guys - and Belle - were waiting. When I saw Belle she ran at me and hugged me. I wrapped my arms around her and hugged her tight.

“I don’t like that stuff,” she said to me.

“It’s okay,” I said. “I won.”

Trev came walking over with a grin on his face. He waved a wad of cash at me and handed it to me.

“Congrats,” Trev said.

I rolled the money up and put it in my pocket. I then put on my shirt and leather cut. I took a cold beer from Jasper and sat on the table to catch my breath.

“Should we walk our star to the ring?” Trent asked me, referring to Jim.

“No,” I said. “I’m not walking to the ring. Jim is on his own.”

“Kye,” Trev said. “You and Tristan take Jim to the ring. If he goes down, walk the fuck away.”

I grabbed for Belle’s hand and squeezed. She was on edge because this was her brother.

“It’ll be okay,” I whispered.

A few minutes later the ring was ready to go again. Jim climbed in and stood there, wearing a pair of shorts. The guy announcing the fight called Jim a cripple. That pissed me off and I hoped it would make Jim go crazy. Trev had been making calls about the fight to build up the bets and buzz. So did Ivan. There was a ton of money on the line with this. The goal was to push all the money to Jim’s opponent, making the winnings heavier on our end when Jim knocked the guy out.

The guy was named Carl and had a bad reputation. He was as tall as Jim but much wider. Not built with muscle but built with cheeseburgers. He was covered in hair and had a thick black beard and ‘stach, but no hair on his head. He was a sight to see and had a good record of fighting. His greatest strength was his arms. They were a mile long, giving him a ton of power and position to hit hard.
Fucking hard.

I worried the second I heard Jim was going up against Carl.

The two stood in the ring and the fight was called to start.

Jim went right in, a smart plan, but not with Carl. As soon as he was within reach, Carl swung a left and got Jim in the shoulder. Jim stumbled and Carl attacked. There would be no love lost or care for Jim’s handicap. People were betting for Jim to lose because of his missing leg.

Within seconds, Jim had a firm grip on the ropes and Carl started to work on Jim’s ribcage. Every time he hit Jim, Jim popped up off his good leg. He looked battered as he tried to scurry down the ropes.

“Fuck,” I whispered.

“No,” Belle said. “No…”

Jim got to the corner and faced Carl. That was a dangerous spot to be because Carl could easily smother Jim.

As Carl took a swing, Jim ducked and jumped out of the way. When his prosthetic leg hit the man, Jim turned, almost fell, grabbed the ropes with his right hand, and then swung with his left hand. He punched Carl in the mouth, enough to send Carl’s head snapping to the left.

Jim stayed with him, hitting him again and again. There was only one problem and I saw it from a mile away. Jim was getting too confident. He thought he was in a boxing match. What he didn’t expect - or see - was that Carl took hold of the ropes with his left hand. Then Carl threw a right elbow and it connected right to Jim’s chin.

I jumped up and got on the table as Jim toppled to the mat.

Holy fuck… he’s knocked out…

Before anyone could make a move, Jim’s head popped back up. His face was covered in blood. Carl turned and walked right to Jim. That’s when Jim finally realized the position he was in. This wasn’t some fuck around fight while training for the military. And it wasn’t just working out and having fun. This was literally life or death.
This was war.

Jim used his good leg and drove his ankle forward into Carl’s gut. Carl let out a groan and leaned forward. Jim sat up got Carl with two soft punches, but then he grabbed Carl’s hair and pulled forward, smashing his face off Carl’s face. The sound of thud echoed all around. The entire crowd let out a collective
ooohhh
sound. Carl fell to one knee. Jim hurried to kick back to the ropes and pulled himself up. He waited as Carl rose back, a smart move because Carl was known for insane uppercuts. One wrong move again and Jim could end up on his back for good. And then Ivan would take him and I didn’t want to think what that guy would do to my best friend. It wouldn’t be a quick death. No way in hell. Ivan thrived off pain.

The fight continued with both men back on their feet.

“Come on, man,” I said.

I felt Belle clutching at my leg. I looked down at her and reached for her. I pulled her up on the table and put my arm around her.

Jim and Carl traded a few heavy punches with equal force. They were both starting to feel it. Carl took a little lead, hitting Jim with a one-two that sent him back. Jim wisely used the ropes and corners to his need, bouncing in and out Carl’s attacks.

But then Carl got Jim in the gut. The punch hit hard and I saw the air leave Jim’s face. Carl hit him with a left, right combo and Jim was far away from the ropes. As Jim started to go back I saw everything around me collapsing. My best friend. My girl. My club. It all being set on fire.

Carl swung one more time and Jim grabbed at Carl’s arm. Not only did he stop the punch he kept himself from falling. Jim turned the momentum around and went right at Carl, hitting him in the nose. Carl’s arms flew open and Jim unleashed a combination of punches that I wasn’t sure I could even pull off. He found his balance and started to dance around Carl, forcing him to stumble and take swings with no target.

When Carl had about two seconds left in him, Jim put his fists down and stood there.

“What the hell is he doing?” Trev shouted.

I had no idea.

Carl started to reach for Jim with those long arms of his. Jim swatted Carl’s arms away. Then Jim let out a scream I’d never forget. It was the nightmare scream that had been inside him since the day shit blew up overseas. The split second decision to save who he could and not being able to save Bill.

Jim jumped forward off both feet and smashed the top of his head into Carl. He hit Carl so hard the big guy lifted off his feet (something I’d never seen before with Carl) and sent Carl through the ropes and out of the ring.

Jim ended up crashing into the ropes and dangling there.

There was complete silence all around.

Everyone waited to see what Carl was going to do.

In my mind I let ten seconds go by and that was enough.

I cupped my hands around my mouth and shouted, “
Call the fucking thing!”

And that’s when the fight was called.

Carl was knocked out cold outside the ring.

Jim had fucking done it.

I looked down at Trev and Jasper. They were smiling ear to ear. The rest of the Back Down Devil MC guys were cheering, jumping up and down. Somewhere in the thick of the crowd Ivan, Peter, and their men were there. They saw the fight and they were about to get paid a lot of money. And we’d be able to give them their sixty-five grand that they wanted.

And life would move forward.

I jumped off the table and helped Belle down.

Kye and Tristan got Jim out of the ring and brought him to the table.

I could feel the mood of the crowd starting to swell. There were a lot of people who lost cash on the fight. So it was key to now cash in and get the fuck out of there.

“Jim,” I said, and grabbed his shoulders. “You did it, man.”

“I did it,” Jim said.

“We have to get out of here,” Trent said.
