And now they were in Eden and would be staying a week preparing for the grand opening celebration. John Landmark had spared no expense for the huge gala affair. Then a week after the official opening, her resignation from the Denmark Corporation would go into effect, leaving a capable Malcolm in charge. She would be spending time traveling with Gabe and acting as marketing manager for the Regency Corporation, a position she looked forward to.

But no position, she thought, was more important than being Gabe’s wife. The wedding had been an extravagant affair, which had made her mother, as well as Gabe’s mother, extremely happy. It seemed that Joella Blackwell had been looking forward to the day her son married just as much as Delores had been looking forward to hers. The two women had become good friends over long distance and even visited each other during the year Sage and Gabe had given them to plan the event.

Sage had had eight bridesmaids which included her cousins, Ginger and Cinnamon, as well as Rose and Christopher’s wife, Maxi, whom Sage thought was simply a wonderful person, the most kind-hearted, genuine individual she had ever met. She could understand how Christopher could love his wife the way he did. Maxi Chandler was truly a class act, and the two of them had immediately become good friends.

Gabe smiled down at Sage, and as always, the sexual chemistry between them flared to life. And from the way he was looking at her, Sage knew that he couldn’t wait to get her alone again.

“We have a few days of privacy left before everyone starts arriving for the grand opening.”

She nodded. She knew by everyone he meant her parents and his, as well as Christopher, Maxi and their son, and Parnell Cabot and his daughters, along with Rose. Sage shook her head when she thought of Rose and Parnell’s marriage six months ago.

It seemed that the two of them had made some sort of a business arrangement when they’d decided on a marriage of convenience—just to make sure that no matter where Parnell had to travel to work, his girls would be there with Rose as his wife looking after them. But Sage knew that all it took when she saw Parnell and Rose together was to look at them to see that their marriage was getting more convenient in a number of ways, and what had started out as a business affair was no longer the case. It was definitely a love affair, and they were now a family. Rose simply adored the twins and considered them as hers.

Sage chuckled. Rose considered Parnell as hers, too, and the man who everyone thought would never fall in love again was finding true happiness for a second time.

Gabe and Sage hadn’t been in their hotel room ten minutes before they began removing their clothes, deciding to unpack later. They had booked the honeymoon suite, and everything about the room breathed elegance and romance; but the room’s décor was the last thing on their minds. They needed to be in each other’s arms, and to reaffirm their love in a very intimate way.

When she lay naked in the middle of the bed, Gabe took a step back and picked up the phone. “Yes, this is Gabe Blackwell. Please hold all my calls. Mrs. Blackwell and I don’t want to be disturbed.”

“Umm, Mrs. Blackwell, I can’t get over just how much I love the sound of that,” Sage whispered as she straightened the pillow behind her back and watched her husband step out of the last of his clothing. Every time they came together like this, they strove to make it beautiful and wonderful for each other, and always succeeded.

Her breath caught as Gabe’s gaze scanned her naked body from head to toe. “You are the most beautiful creature I’ve ever seen, both in and out of clothes, although I like you out of clothes the best.”

Sage smiled when she saw the hot look in his eyes and knew that tonight he would be very creative. Her body trembled, and she licked her lips when she thought of all the possibilities. Making love with Gabe continued to be an awe-inspiring adventure and the most exciting experience she’d ever encountered.

“Don’t do that,” he said huskily, looking at her mouth.

“Do what?”

“Lick your lips like that. It makes me want to eat them right off your mouth.” Easing into bed beside her, he immediately began kissing her throat, right below her left ear. He’d learned fairly early that kissing that particular spot could make her come apart in no time at all. And he definitely wanted her to come apart.

Shifting his body, he lowered himself to his knees in front of her and reached across the bed for the additional pillow. Gently lifting her lower body, he tucked the pillow under it. This position tilted her body at a very special angle for him.

He leaned forward, needing to taste her mouth, savor everything special about her, and by the time
he had tasted her entire body, her sighs and moans had sent an electrical charge through him so strong he had to connect with her immediately.

He placed his body over hers and slipped inside of her. She knew they would find heaven like always, which seemed to fit since they were already in Eden. Everything they did seemed to fit.

In the long, slow moments that followed their joining, Gabe remained still for a second, savoring the feel of being inside of her, the feel of her feminine muscles clamping down on him, holding him, milking him, nearly driving him insane. And then he began to move, in a slow, precise rhythm; one she picked up on automatically as she spread her thighs wider for him and wrapped her legs around his back.

The pillow her backside rested on made him go that much deeper, touch areas within her that he normally didn’t touch, and she purred relentlessly at the feel of him moving on top of her, hip to hip, thigh to thigh, inside and out.

And when he felt her body beginning to shudder, his automatically did likewise, and they came together, crying out each other’s name, needing to be one this way as husband and wife, as lovers, as friends, as two people who were a perfect fit in every way.

In the long moments that followed, Gabe removed the pillow from under her and pulled her into his arms, holding her tightly to him, right next to his heart. “I love you,” he whispered, kissing the dampness from her forehead.

She smiled, nearly gasping for breath after such a beautiful, intimate encounter with her husband. The flush of her orgasm had not yet faded, and her body was still trembling. This was how it was
supposed to be, she thought, as she snuggled closer to his side. Whenever two people who had committed their lives together united as one, all the pleasures God intended for them to have, to share, were theirs. There was a reason He had given certain body parts to them for them to feel this way, and she knew her husband had every intention of exploring every aspect of “hidden pleasures” during their lifetime.

“And I love you,” she finally was able to dredge up enough strength to whisper. Moments later, she said, “You were wrong, Gabe.”

He lifted a brow and gazed lovingly down at his wife. “I was wrong about what, sweetheart?”

Her smile widened. “Your mother didn’t make a mistake in naming you Gabriel, because you are truly an angel. My angel.”
