“No. No boyfriend.”

“Good.” He pulled her forward and kissed her hard and deep, possessive even, but it felt good. It felt as if this was the way she was supposed to be kissed. The shivers of desire burst through her body again. “Then perhaps I could take you out for dinner this weekend and we can see where this all leads us.”

Her sex throbbed with anticipation already. “I’d like that very much.”

“Good,” he said again. He tweaked her nipples roughly through her top. The sparks started shooting off again. She was already craving the wild sensations he brought out in her. How could she have ever thought she could walk away?

“What if I told you I want you to wear a very short skirt?” He dropped his hands to her ass and squeezed. “And no underwear.”

His words didn’t frighten her now. Neither did his hands. They excited her. No more boring dates. No more relying on her vibrator to be the answer to her dreams. It was time to admit to herself that this
was
something she needed as much as breathing. “It sounds like the start of an interesting evening.”

“I’m pleased you think so.” His gaze caressed her face then he tilted his head to the side and smiled at her roguishly.

“What?” she asked.

“I like the way you look, fully dressed with that black leather collar around your neck.”

She gasped. She’d forgotten about it. She swallowed and noticed its comforting pressure again. How quickly she’d gotten used to it. He traced his finger along the edge before he unbuckled it and removed it. “Perhaps you’ll wear another one soon.”

She took a deep breath and let it out slowly. “It’s not something I can promise on a permanent basis, but it
is
handy to hang a leash from.”

Paolo laughed and her face grew warm. She couldn’t believe she said that out loud. “You are such a delightful surprise. I am so glad you called.”

“Me too.”

“You have a lot to think about,” he said. “I’ll walk you to your car.”

She was sorry to be leaving him, but her mind was whirling. How much her life had changed tonight.

They walked down the long hall together, hand in hand, and entered the waiting room where she had paced so nervously not that long ago. Julianne once again noticed the dramatic artwork hanging on the walls. She turned to Paolo.

“These are originals, aren’t they?”

“Yes. Do you like them?”

“I love them. Do you know how I can contact the artist? In my business, I often have clients looking for amazing artwork like this.”

Paolo lifted her hand to his lips and kissed it. “You are speaking to the artist now.”

“Oh! That’s right. You said you painted. I had no idea. These are wonderful.”

“Thank you. It is something I do when the spirit moves me. I often paint all night long, from closing time here at the club until the sun rises in the morning.”

“Really? Aren’t you exhausted?”

“Sometimes the process of creating is exhilarating. Sometimes it is an excuse to avoid a lonely bed.” He squeezed her hand and winked. “I think perhaps I may not have that problem much longer.”

Julianne chuckled lightly. “Let’s not get ahead of ourselves.” She cleared her throat. “I wonder if I could talk with you sometime about commissioning some artwork occasionally.”

His smile was heartwarming. Body warming. “I believe that could be arranged.”

“Do you work here
every
night?” The question burst out of her mouth before she realized the implications. Now who was getting ahead of herself?

“I admit I work most evenings, and I imagine you do most of your work during the daytime.” He placed a light kiss on her knuckles. “This will be one of the many things we will have to work out between us if we decide to continue our relationship.”

“Maybe at dinner this weekend you can tell me how an artist from Italy became the owner of a fantasy club.”

“I will be delighted to tell you anything you want to know.”

She realized that Paolo was the first man to really listen to her, even as he was the first man to ever command her. He held her hand as they crossed the parking lot and it felt so good to be walking beside him. As if this was where she was meant to be. Who she was meant to be with.

When they reached her car, he pulled her into his arms, and then backed her up against the driver’s side door. He caught her wrists in one of his hands and pulled her arms over her head, pinning them to the roof of the car. He leaned over her, stretching her back over the car. When he pressed up against her and looked deep into her eyes, she shivered with pleasure. It was another one of her favorite fantasies come to life.

Paolo brushed his lips lightly over hers. It was more a tease than a kiss, a temptation, a promise of things to come. He swept his lips along her throat and down the bare skin revealed by the V-neck. His erection rubbed against her stomach. Her sex quivered. Her thighs parted.

He was so right. This was no longer a fantasy. This was real life.

He groaned. “Oh, I am so very sorry to be sending you home.” He slowly backed away from her and released her wrists. “I will call you tomorrow and we will make our plans.”

She straightened and smiled at him. She couldn’t be missing him already, could she?

He leaned in for one more hungry kiss and then nipped at her ear. “I look forward to playing with you again, very soon.”

She tingled from head to toe and everywhere in between. She was already looking forward to once again being Paolo’s plaything.

Birthday Girl:

Was she really going to let Marc touch her the way she’d always dreamed about? Wouldn’t that be a betrayal to Tyler and their marriage? But this was Ty’s idea. Or rather, his gift to her because it had been
her
idea.

She took another sip of champagne and listened to them talk about other friends. Who was doing what. Where they’d ended up. Who was married. Who wasn’t. She tried to pay attention to their conversation, but her mind kept wandering to what the evening might hold. She kept watching the men on either side of her. Tyler’s hand now roamed up her arm, the long strokes almost seemed to be meant to gentle her, to calm her. Could he tell she was reacting to Marc?

But it wasn’t just Marc she was reacting to, of course. She’d been aroused by Tyler all evening, still was, always would be. But she was sandwiched between two incredible men, one light, one dark. One familiar, one a memory. Their musky scents mingled in the air surrounding her. The flickering candlelight shifted the shadows around them, making her feel even more unsettled. Her body began to tremble and she set the flute down on the table. No more champagne for her.

“I’m afraid we’ve been ignoring this beautiful woman between us,” Marc said suddenly. His dark gaze ran over her and her nipples prickled again beneath the thin blouse. “I’m sorry, Shannon, this is your night.” He leaned toward her, placed his large, hot hand over hers. “I’ve been monopolizing Ty’s attention.”

“Th-that’s all right,” she murmured. She glanced over at Tyler, guilt from her reaction heating her face. But how exactly was she supposed to react to a man who was going to be the other part of their threesome?

“No, it’s inexcusable.” Marc scooted closer to her, his thigh almost touching hers. “With such a delightful woman between us, how could we think about anything else?” He didn’t lift his hand from hers, instead he turned her hand over and began to stroke her palm and the sensitive skin on the inside of her wrist as Tyler had been doing. As Ty continued to do on her other hand.

Her skin was so sensitive, each stroke sent shivers rippling through her body and collecting between her legs. Her beaded nipples felt as if they were poking holes through her blouse. She couldn’t move as the two hot male bodies pressed in on either side of her, their hands smoothly moving from her wrists to bare shoulders and back down again.

Tyler leaned in and kissed her cheek. “It’s okay, sweetheart.” He brushed his lips against her ear and whispered, “We’re going to make this so good for you.”

She was so hot. The heat from two large male bodies seeped into her. While her mind was still reeling with the ramifications of their hands on her, her body had no qualms enjoying every single stroke.

Marc leaned forward to look into her eyes as he brushed her long brown hair away from her face. “It’s great to see you again, Shannon. Did you know I used to want to touch you like this? Do you know many times I almost did?”

“No. Why didn’t you?” She would have let him.

“Because you were my friend. There were lots of hot women I wanted to touch, but I didn’t have to worry about losing their friendship.” He brushed his fingers lightly over her cheekbone. “But tonight, for a little while, I can live out one of my fantasies too.”

She shot another quick glance at Tyler. He didn’t seem to be upset to hear that Marc had been attracted to her. She recognized the unmistakable arousal in his eyes, though. Did the sight of Marc touching her turn him on? “What about you, Ty? What do you get out of this tonight?”

He leaned over and kissed her. “Are you kidding? I get to give my wife a gift I know she will enjoy. How often can a husband say that?”

Joyful laughter bubbled up, lightening her spirits. She kissed him back. “Okay, I’m in.”

Tyler and Marc looked at each other and it seemed as if they spoke silently across the table. “Great,” Ty said, his voice a little lower, a little slower. “Do you agree to give yourself over to us then? To let us give you pleasure for your birthday?”

Chills of arousal rained over her. “Yes.”

Marc nodded. “Starting right now, okay?”

They were still in a public place, a busy restaurant. Even though their booth was shadowed, tucked into the far corner, there were still people sitting around them, waiters keeping an eye on their needs. How far could they really go?

“Okay.”

He’s got one shot. Better make it naughty…
