“Noah!” She screamed, her body convulsing, as waves of sensation flowed through her.
I smiled with satisfaction as I crawled up her body.
Hovering over her, I said, “You’re my favorite taste in the world.”
She looked up, gasping for air. “You didn’t get those moves from Wal-Mart.”
“I had to up my game for my number one girl.”
I climbed off the bed and quickly stepped out of my jeans and boxers. This was the first time we’d seen each other completely naked. I was very pleased at what I’d seen so far, and by the look sprawled across Tweet’s face, she was pleased as well.
“What are you looking at, Tweet?”
“What?” She looked up at my grinning face. A blush ran across her cheeks as her gaze darted away.
“I like looking at you too… and undressing you… and kissing you… and running my tongue all over you.”
I had one knee on the bed, ready to crawl back on top of Tweet when it dawned on me that, I didn’t have a condom.
Fuuuuuuuuuuuuk!!
“Noah, are you okay? What’s wrong?”
“I didn’t bring any condoms.” I sunk my hands in my hair and tugged. “I brought a fucking chocolate cake, but no condoms.”
Biting her bottom lip, Tweet made a poor attempt at hiding her giggles, which soon turned into full out laughter.
“It’s okay. I’m on birth control.”
Part of me wanted to jump up and high-five something. The other part of me wanted to know when and for whom did she start birth control. Pushing that thought to the side, I refocused on the task at hand.
I crawled onto the bed, settling between her legs. Our eyes locked as my tip made contact with her. The intensity of the sensation was like nothing I’d ever experienced. Every sensory nerve I had was firing on all cylinders. My body always reacted physically to the other girls, but Tweet was the only one my heart and soul ever reacted to. This is what it felt like to make love.
Our hips rocked in perfect unison. Tweet’s eyes closed, her head falling to the side.
“Tweet, look at me.” Her eyes opened. “I need to see you, hear you, and feel you. It shows me that this is real and that I don’t have to pretend anymore.”
Running the back of her hand down my face, she held my gaze, never once looking away. “No more pretending.”
I slipped effortlessly inside of Tweet. “You feel incredible,” I said against her lips.
“I love you so much, Noah.”
My breathing became shallow, coming out in short spurts. Staring into Tweet’s eyes as we connected physically, I felt an intense energy pass between us, like I was sharing the core of my soul with her. Her legs tightened around my hips and her nails dug into my biceps, as my thrusts became faster and harder. Sweat beaded up across her forehead and her cheeks flushed, as her body tensed around me.
“Noah!”
The sound of Tweet screaming my name as she came was my undoing. My muscles became rigid, my movements going into overdrive as an explosion of energy sent seismic tremors through my body. It was almost too much to handle. Tears flooded my eyes as my body jolted in spasms on top of her. We stayed connected, our foreheads resting against each other, as our bodies calmed.
All of a sudden a wave of sadness crashed over Tweet’s expression and tears ran down the side of her face.
“I’m so sorry.”
“There’s nothing to be sorry about. Don’t cry, Tweet.”
“I wasted so much time and hurt you.”
“Nothing has ever been a waste when it comes to you. Not my time, my thoughts, or my heart. I don’t regret anything about my life with you, even the times we were apart. Those times showed me how much I belonged to you. I knew we would be together one day. I just had to be patient and wait. And you were so worth waiting for.”
“I love your hair this way.”
“It’s a mess.”
“I like you all messy,” I mumbled, nuzzling Tweet’s neck.
The past several hours were spent exploring each other, bit-by-bit and inch-by-inch. Repeatedly. That night Tweet suggested, for old time sake, that we take a bubble bath, but promised me it would be completely different from the ones we shared as little kids. I was all onboard for a wet naked Tweet. It was when she mentioned the bubbles that my dick hung its head and cringed. But I never could say no to my girl. Besides, her powers of persuasion were hot. I held out as long as possible, letting her
persuade
me before caving in.
The tub was large enough, allowing my legs to stretch out comfortably, while Tweet sat on my lap, straddling me. Her hair was piled on top of her head, with a few wet strands running down the back of her neck. The light bouncing off her wet body coupled with our recent activity had her skin flushed and glistening. The slightest movement caused the bubbles to splash against her chest, giving me intermittent peeks at her still hard nipples. She was holding the plate of chocolate cake with the look of pure pleasure across her face as she slid the fork from her mouth.
Bubble baths are awesome.
Tweet fed me a forkful of cake with extra frosting.
She really did love me.
Leaning forward, a sexy smirk played across her face. “You have frosting on your bottom lip.”
She licked my lip clean before sucking it into her mouth.
“This is the best way to eat cake,” she said.
My chest vibrated with a deep moan as she pulled away. The fork dove back into the cake and then her mouth. Staring, I raised my hand, brushing the hair off her forehead and let my fingertips trail down the side of her face. It still felt like I was dreaming, being with her like this.
Tweet’s eyebrows furrowed, her lips pursed in a straight line. “Is everything alright?”
“I’m with the woman I love and adore, who also happens to be hot as hell. There’s nakedness and cake involved. What could be better?” Her face brightened. “You never got a chance to answer the question I asked earlier about what changed.”
“My perceptions. I’ve wasted a lot of my present holding on to past perceptions. Trying to second guess the future, so it wouldn’t catch me off guard. I’m not sure exactly what triggered the way I looked at myself. Some of it was being compared to Emily, but not all of it. There was just something in my DNA that caused me to interpret the things people said about me differently. I always thought everyone else was better than me. That they had all the right answers, but wouldn’t share them. When I got sick, I met a friend who shared and readjusted my view.”
“Dalton?”
“Yeah. He taught me a lot in a short amount of time.” Her eyes shined with tears as her chin quivered. “He passed away last week.”
I cupped the side of her face, letting my thumb glide over her chin. “I’m so sorry.”
“The only thing perfect is our present because we’re breathing, moving, loving, and feeling. We should never wait to let the people in our lives know how much they mean to us. Dalton showed me that.”
“You touch my soul. I didn’t think I could love you more, but when I found out you were…” I swallowed hard.
A tear rolled down my face. Tweet swept her thumb over my cheek, wiping away the tear.
“Noah…” Her voice was shaky. “I don’t want another day to go by without you knowing how much I love you. I’ve wasted time up to this point not letting you know that I’ve loved you my entire life. I don’t know what’s going to happen in the future, but I do know I will never stop loving you.”
“Tweet, put it down.”
“Huh?”
“The cake, put it down. Now.”
She sat the cake on the side of the tub. I reached behind her neck, bringing her to my lips, our tongues knowing exactly what to do. Snaking one arm around her waist, I held her tight against my chest. Her fingers dug into my shoulders as I kissed a trail across her jaw to the spot under her ear.
“You’re my everything,” I whispered.
“This is the best bubble bath in the history of bubble baths,” she moaned.
“Most definitely.”
Stretching my arm out, all I felt was air and a cool sheet. My eyes shot open and I sprang to a sitting position, as if a nightmare had jolted me back to reality. I had no idea what time it was, but the room was dark. While I tried to orient myself, my chest tightened as a sinking feeling took over my stomach.
Please, don’t let the past several hours have been a dream.
Once my eyes adjusted, I saw light filtering through the doorway from down the hall. I got out of bed and quickly put on my jeans. The feeling in my chest got heavier. I was afraid it had all been a dream, that I was still in the dream, and it was about to turn into a nightmare. I walked in the direction of the light. Reaching the end of the hall I stopped, and faced the kitchen. A deep sigh released from my lungs. She was real and here. Her back to me, she was completely unaware that I stood only a few feet away. Leaning a shoulder against the wall, I crossed my arms, stayed quiet, and enjoyed the view.
Tweet was wearing my T-shirt and her prosthetic leg. My gaze followed the length of her tousled dark hair falling over her shoulders and down her back. She raised her hand
toward her face, which caused the bottom of the shirt to hike up, revealing the lower curve of her ass. A hard swallow hit the back of my throat with a thud. I was surprised Tweet didn’t hear it and turn around. My mind drifted back to how we had spent the last several hours—the things we said to each other, the plans we made. Every part of my being loved her. I knew I wouldn’t survive if she didn’t.
God, please don’t take her from me. I just got all of her.
I pushed away thoughts of losing Tweet. Breaking the silence in the room, I cleared my throat. Tweet froze, her arm suspended in midair.
“What’cha up to, Tweet?”
In slow motion, she twisted at the waist, looking over her shoulder at me. The plate with the half-eaten cake was in one hand, a frosting coated fork in the other. Her secret identity had been discovered. Tweet was the baked goods bandit. With guilt written all over her face, and a mouth full of cake, she placed the fork down on the plate.
She swallowed, licking her lips afterward. “I was just finishing up the cake. No sense in wasting a perfectly good piece of cake.”
In that moment, Tweet was either the most beautiful, sexiest, or cutest thing I had ever seen. I decided it was all of the above.
A confident peace radiated from her, evident in her stance and demeanor. My heart exploded with pride. Tweet was finally beginning to see herself through my eyes and believing that she was everything she needed to be right now. Without another word, I pushed off from the wall and walked toward her. The look in her eyes shifted from a panicked,
oh shit I got caught,
to a smoldering,
oh shit I got caught.
Holding her gaze, I took the plate and placed it on the counter. Goosebumps popped up all over her skin, keeping time with the rapid motion of her chest as it pumped out short shallow breaths. I grabbed her hips, lifting her up onto the counter. My palms flattened against the marble surface on either side of Tweet. Leaning forward, I brought my body as close to hers as possible without making contact. My nose drifted across her jaw and down her neck. The scent of raspberry, vanilla, and chocolate filled the air around us. I pulled back and glanced down at her nipples straining against the T-shirt. Licking my lips, my gaze lifted to meet hers. Without a word, she shimmied her hips from side-to-side, grabbed the bottom of the shirt, and peeled it off. Tweet and I didn’t need any words to communicate what each of us wanted right now.
A mischievous sparkle lit up her eyes accompanied by a hotter than hell smirk across her face. As my hands inched along the countertop toward Tweet, a chocolate-covered index finger crept into my field of vision, heading toward her swollen well-kissed lips. The muscles in my arms went rigid. Drawing in a deep breath, I held it, waiting to see what she was going to do with all that frosting. The tip of her tongue slipped between her lips and moved up the finger, capturing some of the sweet. With closed eyes, her head tilted back, a long deep moan flowed from her as the chocolate disappeared into her mouth.
Exhale. Whoosh!
